IT IS YOU WHO MAKES ME HOPE - Hope Maker Series 001

Confess Psalm 22

Psalms 22:9, KJV

"But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts."

The Lord will make you hope. The Lord God, the Creator of heaven and earth will appear to make hope for you. At every juncture of life, at a new level you're entering or at a certain time, the Lord will rise to make hope for you. You will never have fulfilled on you this saying, "our bones are dried, our hope is lost. We are cut off for our parts (Ezek.37:11)" but your testimony shall be, "never stranded" because where hope is lost and where no expectation should be expected, God will come bearing hope to you. Therefore, receive a testimony of hope. Receive new hopes like tender shoots. Be assured of a living hope.

You can get to a place in life where you earnestly look up for your help to come. At such time, one may call it a life or death situation. It's when if a situation is not salvaged, things might turn for the worst, and so recovery, quick recovery must be get at. On that note, with all earnestness, one looks up to the hills in expectation of manna to fall, descent to be made and joy to be caused. At such time, I say, "may you find help. May your hope not be dashed. May arrival and delivery always be made for you. May God makes you hope. The Psalmist says, "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help? (Psalms 121:1, KJV). He is looking for hope, a need to be met and so he's on the lookout for it but at his search, he affirms his help could only come from one place - the Lord.

Psalms 121:2, KJV

"My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth."

Did you see what his resolution was? Did you see where his help, strength and hope comes from? It is not elsewhere but from God. It is God who makes him hope when he's earnestly in search of one. Look at me, if you're young and have not being bessetted by any life's issue, you may not know there are occasions when one will need to gaze to that place or there for help. And I mean, an earnestly expected help. Have you read Acts 3 where a crippled at the beautiful gate earnestly expects to receive from Peter and John and so fastens his gaze on them with total attention? That's how it is when you're dying for hope to be made you. Your entire thought is on that thing. You're filled with the besetting fear of, "God, let it turn to my side." But that day, his own hope was not dashed. He received beyond expectation. He walked! How I pray for you that when you earnestly have your eyes on God, you'll not be disappointed neither receive less. Your expectation will always be met and that beyond measure.

My help comes from God he says. It means he identifies God as the only sure and good help. Gazing to humans for help might lead to disappointment but may you have a confession like the psalmist that after gazing to the hills (looking here and there), your help comes from the Lord, the Creator of heaven and the earth. Of a surety, your testimony will be that it is God who makes hope for you.

To make hope for someone means to revive hope for him. It means where nothing seems to be happening for him, a revival of events should immediately take place for him. The making of hope for anyone signifies God has never forgotten such. It signifies God is ever mindful of same. That's why I pray that when you get to a juncture of confusion, tiredness and darkness, God will make hope for you. From unseemingly situation, from situation where your confession is, "my bones are very dried, my hope is lost and I am cut off for my parts", may the Lord make hope for you. You may be a student at a juncture that's critical in your academic journey where you need sponsor to further and finish to the end. Look, God is making hope for you. He made me one while on campus. If not, I'll have ended a drop out. But on the mount of the Lord, it must be seen for you. You may be pregnant and by now expecting the labour room, even there, on that birth stool, God will make hope for you. Live hope! It means when you least expect or are in doubt or in need of hope, God is always appearing for you to take you further where you should have ended. It is this that makes you have the testimony of "never stranded". I know a boy that God made hope for. Just like many who thought they couldn't go to school or complete school, so is his case but the Lord is using a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) to make hope for him. He's one of the most delighted persons on earth because God has come to fill and bridge the gap that his background and immediate situation would have forever put him into. You don't talk of God making hope for you when there's no contrary situation on ground. We do when there's something that God must arise to glory or show His almightiness over. And I declare today that irrespective of your condition, what the doctor has said, what medical diagnosis has revealed, God shall make hope for you. You will see hope come like a new shoot from heaven and that shall be to your saving. Today as you go, God wants you to put one confession in your mouth. It is that, "God is making hope for me." Say, "irrespective of the economic situation in my country, God will make hope for me". And I tell you, your salvation is near you.

PRAYER: Lord, You're my hope Maker. Thank You for making me hope. I receive lively hopes.

AND NOTHING SHALL BY ANY MEANS HURT YOU! - With Me Series 005

Acts 1:8, KJV

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

Something seeks to hurt people especially those who minister. According to its programming by the devil, it seeks to scare you away by holding the promise or ability of hurting you. But what does the Bible say than, "...and nothing shall by any means hurt you." "Any means" means "any means." It means in one million encounters, you'll always come back clean. Nothing in whatsoever manifestation will by any means repercusively affect you.

One of the functions of God being with you is that after you have ministered, nothing shall by any means come to hurt you. I hope you have heard both mythology and non-fictional narratives of those who seek to minister to a captive of the devil that the Oppressor comes after? If you have heard such and you're a minister, you have a thing to contest with and by which your faith could be tested, shaken or uprooted. But your faith needs not shake because you're not of yourself. All power has been given to Jesus. He said it Himself.

Matthew 28:18, KJV

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."

It is "all power" and that means not one is withheld or reserved that is not in His custody. If all is now in His custody, it means as His children and ministers, we have such power available for us because He has already delegated it for our use. Say, "I have Jesus' delegated power; I can use it and transfer it also." Through this, we can triumph over Satan.

An elderly minister who I respect a lot once told of a lady who was afflicted by the devil with lice in her private part and the affliction is such that any who tries helping her out of it will have that same affliction jump on them. It is the replication of that affliction that scares help and attempts of people away. Indeed, this scared away a lot of people including supposed ministers. What you must know is that as a minister, you have to discern whether you're an administrative or power minister. While God does not intend all of us settle only in administration but rather weave power, yet that's the area some specializes in and have gone to stay. They're limited either because they are not called at all or because they're not taking the provision of God and exercising themselves towards exercising such powerful ministrations. Such case described above is the means by which Satan wants to keep his captive a perpetual captive. He'll give people fear of praying or taking hold with the Holy Ghost in delivering such captive. But you need not fear because God has furnished us with provision. Ahead of time, Jesus told His disciples to tarry for the equipping and promise of the Father - in the Holy Ghost (Acts 1:8). It is this that makes any a witness and an effective witness for that matter. What many have not realized is that witnessing is not of words only, it is of words backed up by power of the Holy Ghost - power to deliver, destroy, create, recreate, repair, restore, complete, diminish or even regulate. It is therefore a witness but of power. A witness of power that even expels demons. In witnessing, you will meet what can hurt you but because of power in you (which you have swallowed in the Holy Ghost; which inhabits you as the Holy Ghost and works through you), you can minister effectively and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Jesus while sending the disciples said, "behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you" (Luke 10:19, KJV).

What does He do here? He gives us power to tread (mercilessly in victory) upon serpents and scorpions and over every or all power of the enemy. It means there's no other new invention Satan can create or manifest than what he already has which you have been given power to glory over. It means everything Satan has become yesterday, is becoming today and can become tomorrow shall all fall under, "I have given you power to tread (in vanguishing victory) over the devil and his demons and over all their manufactured inventions. That singular word of Jesus and promise to us vanguished all the potent powers and manifestations of Satan in any colour, variety or deceptive forms it might want to take. Even if it's a human being holding that power or threatening you with that power, as long as it is the power of the devil, it has been long judged and over ruled to be under God and His children's power. It shall bow to you. And then you have a sure word of assurance. It's that, "nothing shall be any means hurt you." This is why some are not laying hands on the sick or praying for the oppressed in any way. They are afraid of repercussions. It is either you're not called or you're called and you're living below the minister's standard: either in sin or in weak or no preparation at all. So, your confidence is under attack. Jesus says, "and nothing shall by any means hurt you." It will seek to hurt you but it is Christ who shuts the mouths of lions for you. He has led captivity captive (Eph.4:8). He has afore stripped him naked of his power. He has gathered them all as booties of war. He has even made a public show of them. What a triumph! They have no other power again with which to rule over you except fear and ignorance. And I'll say if you're afraid that your ministration won't be successful, don't minister. If you're afraid in ministration that something might jump on you, don't. You can parry it until you're ready. The reason is because fear will expose a flank of your life for the inroad of the devil. In fear or doubt, you become vulnerable to him. But if you are all sealed and ready; clothed in the full armour of God with Christ's righteousness as the garment you're wearing, then, you can minister and the Lord of glory shall through your hands heal the sick, deliver the oppressed and assaulted. And we shall go on to raise the dead. Yes! Is any sick there? What's your challenge? If Jesus would fit ministration to be tailored towards those who dwell in the region and shadow of death, I say, whatsoever may be your need, let it be met (Matt.4:16). I hand it over to you. Receive your diverse needs. God has come for you.

So today, if you're a minister, let me minister impartation to you. I cut off the root of fear in your life. May the Spirit of faith and assurance by the Bible leap on you. Receive power, God's power, delivering power, healing power and His curing and meeting needs power.

PRAYER: Lord, I claim your promises and live out the minister's life. Nothing shall by any means hurt me.

BECAUSE YOU KNOW GOD IS WITH YOU - With Me Series 004

Genesis 13:8-9, KJV

"8 And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren. 9 Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left."

Brethren, because you know God is with you, it will influence your behaviour and dictate your action. Over the years, I've come across the hurly-burly of people to have it for themselves. This has led to intensive struggle and the massacring of relationships where necessary.

Today, it delights God to show you the confidence Abraham has which makes him say to Lot, "choose wherever you wish and then I will choose after you." This request shouldn't come from Abraham to Lot. It's rather the kind of tender that juniors make to their bosses in order to please and show their mark of surrenderness to him. I found out however that if you have God with you, just at your right hand, you will be generous with offers. You'll let people go first, choose first and decide first. You'll just have the confidence and know for sure that wherever you are is where the Lord is. Lot chose all the green valley of Jordan. He chose the best that is  and Abraham his uncle through which he has all he boasts of stays in the land of Canaan.

However, you ought to ask with me what the confidence of Abraham was as to say his nephew should make his choice first. Is he not afraid of he being surpassed and left with an unfortunate choice of land that can't support him and his cattle? I'll say he has no fear of such and the reason is simple. He has experienced the fact that God is seriously committed to him before this time. So, he knew that it would always be good for him. Cast the die, the line would always fall for him in good places. His confidence is in God who called him out of his native land (Gen.12:1-2). That same God defended him by afflicting Pharaoh with plagues where he couldn't have spoken to defend himself (Gen.12:10-20). He had experienced God and seen His interest and commitment to him. He knows He's very close to him. He knows He's committed to making him great. He bears in mind what God promised him when he called him out - that he'll surely make him a blessing etc. From inference, it can't be to retrogression for him irrespective of wherever he stays therefore. It is on this note that Abraham said, "nephew, go ahead and make your choice." He opens the whole land to him. God could see his heart that he's also doing this so that quarrelsome and suspicious Lot wouldn't  gainsay over him later to say his uncle caged him and relegated him to the background because he was beginning to be envious of what he's becoming. That's the crux of the matter.

Looking at this, this is the status of he I want to maintain. I want the wise to mark me and stay where I stay knowing assuredly that's where God will be. It is those who have no assurance of God with them who will seek to always look out to enforce their rights and defend it by themselves. They believe they have to always be on the lookout or else they'll be cheated with no recourse. So, they always build a bulwark and look at everybody with suspicion and potency of being cheats. When you know God is indeed with you, you don't mind who eats first, who chooses first and who goes first. You don't mind what men can do to you. You'll always ask, "what can man do to me since I have God who can turn every evil to good?" Look, if contenders leave the worst choice, out of your being God's beloved, God will repair that worst to satisfaction for you but to their covetousness and envy. They'll wonder why you always have the best eventually; why your  worst can suddenly turn to bring favour. They'll wonder at how you can stay and sow in the land to still reap a hundred fold when others who have left for the covetous Egypt are still needy and covetous.

May God solidify you with His presence. May you see God's outworkings that'll seek to ascertain again and again He has a special interest in you. It is this that'll make you not to be overburdening, contesting and covetous in your dealings with men. They'll regard you as a liberal and total man of peace. You'll give them an array of choices knowing your own Lot is always preserved in the Lord.

PRAYER: Teach me and I shall be taught. Teach me to bring praises to Your name in my dealings with men.

HE WARNS MEN FOR YOUR SAKE - With Me Series 003

Genesis  20:2-3, KJV

"2 And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah. 3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man's wife."

They can collect your goods but they can't keep it. Intervention, disruption and a stepping in of the divine would happen. God will do a stirring up and such will lose his peace. God will appear and issue a warning to such in a dream. One of the signs of God being with one is that He intervenes in what concerns you. If you say you have allegiance with someone who watches you as you're helplessly cheated and taken for granted, then I'll advise you break such relationship.

Through the mistake of Abraham, Sarah gets taken away. Abraham lied to save his life. He obviously didn't know whether the people of Gerah fear the Lord. He wants to live. But this is beginning to cost him. While he has transgressed against God, yet God could see what his purpose for that was. After Sarah had been taken away, God ensured promptness of arrival in Abimelech's dream. God warned him of being a dead man for having taken a man's wife. But it doesn't end there. While Abimelech declares his innocence, God reveals His jealousy system for Abraham and consequently any saint  when He says, "He knew and He even withdrew him from touching her lest he sins against Him (Gen.20:6). It means Abimelech could have slept with Sarah but one way or the other, God didn't allow it to happen. You see, what matters to you matters to God. You see, what worries you worries him. What you seek to protect because you cherish it is what He also is after. You can be assured that God takes thought for you than you can ever desire. I knew when Sarah was taken away, Abraham would have gone into a frenzy. He would have lost his sleep. He would have gone on rolling here and there and asking God for an immediate intervention. An immediate intervention it must be or else the deed would be done and any remedy can never serve as an antidote. The only antidote is for God to intervene and not allow what Abraham is thinking come to pass.

And indeed, God came swiftly for His beloved. That place says, "but God came to Abimelech in a dream of the night..." God came to demand him to return the goods (in the person) he has in his custody who's not his. You have read the passage of the Bible that says, "He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes" (Psalms 105:14). This is its fulfillment. Abraham is considerably a weak person here. He has not become a multitude that anyone could fear or esteem to pose any danger. And so, on such a day of anyone in Christ, God is committed to protecting and seeing to what concerns him. That's why God wouldn't delay. The act must be done that night. He rode into Abimelech's dream and confronted him and all his with death. Such threat is never to be taken lightly. He who hears it always shiver. No wonder, Abimelech began to shiver and declare his innocence immediately. Though a heathen king yet he is not big for God to command. There's no where they do not know or hear of God even if it'll be by the hearing of the ear. He's Governor over all the earth. From the rising of the sun and to its setting down, men shall obey Him.

When God is with you, He will fight on your behalf. He will speak on your behalf and defend you against oppressors. There are bullies everywhere but I don't care where you live or who dominates the place. If God be with you, they won't hurt you. An invisible hedge will be created round you. They can hurt others but they'll mark you different because they've received a standing order concerning you even when you do not know when. Kings are those who are stronger than you are. And I tell you, no mere man can talk let alone rebuke them. They need to receive a stronger order. That's why God became the sole proprietor and protector of Israel, rebuking kings for his sake. Your boss can be rebuked for your sake. If he or she is a cheat and a bully and it is clear you can't even have his attention, what you can't say to Him, God can. He's your middleman. He interferes between you and those who should hurt you with their strength. Abraham didn't have much at this time but he has God. He can therefore testify, "God is on my side, I will not fear. What can man do to me?" Because God is with him, any act of man will be to no effect on him. And that's it. God is your defender as you go. Even if you're a stranger in a foreign land, God is your judge. He's by you and He shall protect you and shield you from all evils.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for You are with me.

YOU HAVE A GARDEN TO TILL - Governor General Series 004

Genesis 2:15, KJV

"And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it."

Oh wing men and women, it pleases me just like it pleases God to start today's devotional by saying, "the earth is too general for individual". Before God put the first man in his home, He first did something. He planted it! He created a special home for him. The earth has been created earlier but now, a portion, a cut out or division of the earth (in Eden - a community or location itself) is specifically being equipped by God for the habitation of man. So, that word, "He planted", means, "God made." This a planting of a home in Eden.

Genesis 2:8, KJV

"And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed."

Of the general earth and then of Eden, God cited, situated and located Adam somewhere in Eden that's said to be, "eastward." It means Adam only occupied a portion of Eden eastward. Brethren, you can't dwell in all places. You must rise above the revelation of letting events determine your bound. You must consciously thirst to live by the "every word that proceeds from the mouth of God" (Matt.4:4). A fragment of God's revelation to you! It's at such time of enquiry God will open up to you concerning the location where you should dwell and tarry. You're born in Nigeria, so you live in Nigeria. That's what natural birth has offered you but if God or destiny has a higher purpose for you, God might want to send you somewhere else. And He might have you retained but rather to leave your city, town to another in the same country where only He has assignment waiting for you there. God located Adam in a home He planted eastward of a location called Eden.

May you not get in trouble. May you conceptualize the season that has come upon you. May you know when by ordainment and the Word spoken by the mouth of the Lord you're to stay or tarry. If you don't understand turns and how swiftly it could change, you'll still be by Brook Cherith when God is ahead to Zarephath. And I bet it with you, your suffering and your losses will be uncountable! But you must always be sober, ever waiting on God with expectation of whether He'll say, "you should run or hold." Paul lived this out and I'm not ashamed to refer to him as an example (Acts 16:6-10). But many people are men of senses, sense ruled and governed. They're not given to the spirit at all and so they're out of His influence because even when He's communicating, since they didn't enact His communication, they can't have any testimony of having being better or indeed influenced by Him. They company with Lot who lifted his eyes and saw the plain of Jordan that it was well watered. He must have thought in his vain heart, "where else could it be if not this field?" Assuming this way, he fell for it?" People like this are always wrong even if they're a prophet of the status of Samuel (I Samuel 16:6-7). They're always wrong.

But you, you can tell God, find me my garden. Locate for me my garden and locate me in it. Don't forget it is God who looked for a home (dwelling place in the earth) for Adam and then put him there. People nowadays live where God has not put them. This earth which God has created is too general and large. Seven continents there be according to the division and here I am in my large nation (even if yours is the smallest). Five races there be according to the division of men. Many tongues there be who are inhabitants of this earth but where and among who are you saying I should dwell? With who have you appointed my dwelling?

Many times, without prompting this prayer at all, your assignment (if you're a man who has found what God said He should do and become on earth) will locate you to that garden -  that specific place of assignment where you too could hear a voice saying, "dress and keep it" - be dedicated to this all the days of your life. Let it be "your meat." Eat it and finish it. Somebody who God located a garden for because of assignment is also Peter. God came around to say, "rise, kill and eat" (Acts 10:13). That saying is a call to a place of assignment- the Gentile world. He needed to be called out if he'll have success there. If you go where God has not called you to, you might be operating in a cemetery. You'll not be able to do any miracle and great works because the people would just vomit hostility at you continually. Even after awhile there, they won't still have received you. But if you'll say, God, where's my own garden on the earth? You'll know prosperity, fulfilment, joy and early satisfaction. He's the Governor General of the earth. The earth is His (Psalm 24:1). He still allocates gardens and makes people home and settle them there. May God settle you down. For those expecting marriage, God sets the solitary in families too (Psalm 68:6).

PRAYER: Lord, let me be locatable. Let me dwell and till only my allotted allocation. May I not indulge in dead work. Where's my garden? Give me a home Lord.

THE POWER OF EXPLORATION! - Governor General Series 003

Read Genesis 2

Genesis 3:23, KJV

"Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken."

The word "till" doesn't solely mean cultivate or farm. That word means to "draw out", "acquire" or "explore" also. When God sent Adam away from the garden, God told him he'll till (work) the ground for survival. "Tilling" there means putting the earth to use by cultivation or planting but also the exploration of the earth for all it could give. While it might have been definitive and specified to farming for Adam, that singular word has been encompassingnly acted on by our generation and some before. Do you know that singular word, "to till" is like the command, "go forth and preach the gospel" (Mark 16:15).

That place says, "therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden (for what intent or assignment) - to till the ground from whence he was taken."

"To till" there has been concluded on for Adam. As far as God is concerned, Adam can till because he has been given the power and initiative, "to dress (work) and keep it" (Gen.2:15). That's the power of exploration! He can therefore always draw out something from the earth. He's been enabled to till the earth. If he was not enabled afore that speech, at the saying of God to him, "to go till the ground from whence he was taken", he immediately becomes capacitated and full of initiative to till.

When you till, you search for. You seek to bring forth something from the soil. You seek to engage the earth to find out the possibility of what it could birth or produce and the earth has always being living up to this expectation. I pray for you that whenever you engage the earth, it will yield its increase to you. Mind you, this is not only in planting or sowing and reaping.

"To till" means to explore the ground from whence man is taken. It means, "to plough, to turn over, to dig, to break up etc." All these are as well deployed in exploration. Adam might have only cultivated by sowing and reaping but that's not all the capsule word, "to till" or "till" means. "To till" also means "digging or turning over of the earth" to find precious infilling. Psalm 24:1 says, "the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof..." We know the earth there means, "the ground" and the "sea" as well though the sea is not a solid part which evolves. But the depth of the sea also ends in the ground. It's these two that the Psalmist was talking about when he says, "the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof." And that's true because we know there are many mineral resources underneath the earth in the ocean. So far also, we've learnt what this, "the fulness thereof" means. We've learnt it consists of all deposits that the Maker left hidden in the soil for us. Mention any mineral resources there be and they'll immediately fall into the encompassing fold of the phrase, "and the fullness thereof." The earth and the sea harbours all these mineral resources. They're far kept away from human eyes. To reach them, you have to till, dig, explore and ferociously seek them. This is the level of tilling that technology has helped us to unveil to our advantage. Thanks to the discovery and exploration of petroleum, gold, diamond, tin, cobalt etc. They're all products of tilling the ground. All these God given resources or "the fulness thereof" have helped man to create some other products and live comprehensively and not as a handicap. Imagine the jurisdiction (called earth and the fulness thereof) that God owns and gave to man to till and explore. Look at the wealth man rules over. This earth is too wealthy. It's filled to its brim and then with potential to give back in multiples whatsoever is given it (in planting). You won't begin to appreciate God for the kind of capable man He created until you read Job 28 where the ability of man to till or explore is severely chronicled. Do you think cutting of gorges in the rock or ceasing of flowing water is a novel idea? Men have been ceasing waters for ages. It's possible to bind up waters without using supernatural powers. Water or its flow would just be cut off and then there'll be an in-road into exploring the depth of such body of water. Imagine the verses below. They are surprises.

Job 28:7-8, KJV

7 He cutteth out rivers among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing. 8 He bindeth the floods from overflowing; and the thing that is hid bringeth he forth to light."

Then, you begin to wonder, how did man know to do that? That's the tilling power. The exploration command or ability. He just knows how to. That "how to" results from the assignment of Adam to "dress and keep the garden" and same is recalled when sent forth "to till" the ground. What a man God has created! A creative man who rules all of creature and lays it bare before himself. You'll wonder at times, how did man knew how to build in water? You don't need to fetch far. God Himself modeled this wonder. "For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it (the earth) upon the floods (Psalms 24:2, KJV). It's this inborn genius that singularly makes man know how to rule his world. He just knows how to. He has God's backing and blessing to rule and subdue his world (Gen.1:28) and if the earth still remains, you'll still see wonders being done in it, carved out of it or carved in it that could only chronicle and allude to the mightiness, brilliance and exceptionality of God Himself. But, may man knows not to rest in nature but the God of nature. May he learns not to worship the wealth his hands fetches but rather He who fills the earth with all the, "fullness thereof".

PRAYER: Lord, teach me to till and explore the earth (my earth) to the fullest. Give me an area of conquest. I thank you for creating me with such power and capability. I'm the able genius.

MAN IS INCLUSIVE! - Governor General Series 002

Read Genesis 1

Psalms 24:1, KJV

"The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein."

"The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof!" We know this but many times we tend to stop here and never accomplished the showing of ownership and the far reaching dominion of God over all creatures as that verse reveals. It's not only the earth (this terrestrial plane) and all that it harbours that belongs to God but man inclusive (who God created to subdue that earth, plough it and make best of it).

At creation, God created the heaven and the earth. Then, he filled the earth. He brought forth herbs on the surface of the earth and filled it with living creatures likewise. Then He created man and gave man the utmost duty of ruling over His creatures.

Genesis 1:26, KJV

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."

Here, God made man the governor general over all other creatures of His. This should tell you how much power man has. This should tell you what capabilities he has and could weave. He's above other creatures in intelligence and reason. It is this man God gives for food every herb of the field. It's this man God allows to exercise dominion over the fish of the sea, fowl of the air and beasts of the field. Summarily, there's nothing on earth that God has not put under the dominion of man. That's why one man wonders at why God so much have heart for man. He was shocked (Psalm 8:4-9). This should tell you how expansive the dominion of man goes.

When God created Adam, He puts him in a garden called Eden. Do note that before his arrival, God had created all other things that live and be (even inanimate). But at his arrival, God commands him to "dress it and keep it." The garden of Eden is a specific place generalizing the earth. The mandates of Adam in that garden are still the mandate of humanity today. We are to tend (care for, look after) and keep (preserve) our natural habitat called earth. That's our house - where God has put us to stay and live in. That's why that verse says, "the world and those who live in it." Adam is the first preserver and conservationist of nature. After him, we might talk of Africans who used to record history on rock paintings to save trees. So, hearing about going green and anti-climate change movements aren't things that begun in Europe. Never! Give the credit to Africans if you're jealous giving it to Adam.

You have now seen how wide in breath the expanse of man's rule is. He has conquered the sea, the earth and has mastered the sky (Psalm 104:24-26). Yet, He is still God's created being and this mind must forever be in him so he won't lift himself up like Lucifer and glory in his own strength or substitute the works of his own hands for God Almighty. Because God created us, because He owns us, because we are all like the sheep of His pasture, He cares for us as His created. That's why He gives His rain and shines His sun on both the just and unjust. The just and the unjust here are the beings God created without making distinction or querying whether some are born again or not (Matt.5:45). Irrespective of your race, God created you, owns you and reveals His  care often to you by giving you what you can't give yourself. God has done well by first giving humanity his habitat - the earth. It doesn't matter whether we keep it well or destroy it to our disadvantage. In every culture, it is very much known like Paul declares that, "it is in God we live, move and have our being." The air we breathe is His (Acts 17:25). Despite the fact that humanity has gone on the spree of dominion and has invented many things including what we call the oxygen tank to collect oxygen yet we know that it's better and comes without cost breathing God's air. Anyone that God separates from will immediately face death. The Bible records, "thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust (Psalms 104:29, KJV). May we all come to know that the earth (where all the accomplishments of humanity stands is the Lord's). May we forever be filled with gratitude for all the resources we didn't make that He gave us to enjoy. After this, may we also know that we ourselves as the master over creations are just subjects of God. May we testify being His offspring (Acts 17:28).

PRAYER: Lord, grant me the understanding to utilize and explore the earth to its best. I confess being your offspring.
