MORNING WINGS DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE - Olusola ADEJUMO

YOUR JOSEPH SHALL HAVE DREAMS

Genesis 37:5, 9, KJV

"5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. 9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

Brethren, the Lord is saying I should announce to you that your Joseph shall have dreams. Brethren, you must know that it's not everybody that has dreams. But you, your Joseph shall have dreams. Dreams are divinely granted of God. They're only directed towards those God has earmarked so that they might have the consciousness of His plan for them. While Joseph was having dreams of what the Lord would one day do, other children of his father were not having anything. They were rather alone. No divine communication to them at all and that is because they're not called nor elected. I don't care how many of you are in a room or a space, it's not all of you who'll feel what a pregnant woman is feeling who may be there. The pregnancy which she carries will make her feel somehow that no ordinary person will feel or experience. So is it when you have a call that has gone over your head. While God is relating with you and doing things that reveal His divine interest in you, that might not be the same outworking in other people's lives. Don't you know God does certain things to those He calls?

Romans 8:30, KJV

"Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified."

Hallelujah! Calling or election is a revelation of God's interest in a vessel. Any man irrespective of race that God would one day lay His hands on and use is one who finds favour of being called and given disclosures of heaven that he might hope and walk in the same revelation - waging a good warfare by them.

Joseph had dreams! The Bible recorded concerning the son of Jacob, Joseph that he was seventeen years old and was pasturing the flock with the children of Bilhah and Zilpah (Gen.37:2). But, this boy is no ordinary boy though in the midst of others. He is rather having distinct uncommon experiences that are not universal to the other children (though they were all together). God has intentions for him. God wants to use him to preserve a whole nation. And as such, God told him of it. It is this that makes this verse relevant to me. The Bible says in Isaiah  42:9, "behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them."

Joseph sees the sheaves bow to him. He also sees the eleven stars, the sun and the moon do obeisance and worship to him. What could this mean? It is nothing but that this fellow, this young boy would one day become a leader of many people. How it'll be, we don't know but God who has spoken it (by giving him the dreams/a taste of it) shall bring it to pass. The Bible says in Psalms 68:11 that "the Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it". God is at work. What He authors shall be brought to accomplishment. He'll find bodies, means and paths for it to be fulfilled. He will ordain people - take hold of them and use them to bring those dreams to pass. Such are Joseph's brothers who sold him into slavery. Joseph knew this and at last he told them not to be offended at themselves for having sold him into slavery but that it was of the Lord to save many alive (Gen.45:4-5).

God knows the right time. He knows what to click. He knows what to do and knows how to do it. Even if in the expectation of a man of destiny, he is confused and overwhelmed with the details of "how these things shall be" as Mary asked, God is not at all. He is the perfect administrator who rules in the affairs of men. He knows what next!

So, the first critical step to destiny is having the dreams of it. It is seeing it at times with the eyes of your mind. It is ruminating on end on what you know is beyond you but which could only have been an assignment divinely granted and given you to fulfill - for which reason it is occurring to your mind and availing itself for your thinking. Look, your dreams will not die. It's a foretaste of what's to come. It's a fragment of God's overall plan which shall soon be fulfilled. Let me tell you something. That it was even doubled to you means it has been established by God to do. God doesn't speak or instruct repeatedly in vain. Joseph said that to Pharaoh himself (Gen.41:32). When God speaks and again speaks to you on what He'll use you to do or make you into, just be assured that He has planned it and He will do it. I pray for you that your dreams shall find safe harbour of expression. As the anointed of the Lord and one whose hand has been helped by the right hand of the Lord, you shall from today begin to experience unsual speed up in the realization of your dreams. God will send you on an errand of destiny like Joseph if one is needed to fulfill it and if you need to tarry in that same land like Isaac, you'll have the testimony of having sown and reaped the best result anyone could have had irrespective of environment. God is God but I am Olusola ADEJUMO M'Wings. He has spoken. Will He not do it?

PRAYER: You gave the Word and great was the company of those that published it. You have given the vision, thoughts, desires and dreams, you'll justify it.

MORNING WINGS DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE - Olusola ADEJUMO

MANASSEH AND EPHRAIM

Genesis 48:8-9, KJV

"8 And Israel beheld Joseph's sons, and said, Who are these? 9 And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom God hath given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them".

As typical of aged people, Jacob asked (as if he was never privy of them), "who are these?" Joseph replied, "they are my sons whom God has given me in this place". "In this place' means "here in Egypt".

One landmark and unforgettable experience in Joseph's life is his travelling to a foreign land. It defined a lot about him and was even the heart of the fulfilment of his call (which he saw in dreams afore time). However, our deliberation is on how these two sons derived their names.

Genesis 41:50-52, KJV

"50 And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him. 51 And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house. 52 And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction".

He called the first, "Manasseh" and thereby attached the purpose of his calling to it. He said, "because God has made me forget my toil and all of my father's house". That is necessary! All of us know Joseph is Jacob's most beloved. Joseph knows what the father's love is and if there's ever one thing he misses while in servitude, it'll be his father's house, the comfort and shelter it has to give. Now, he's nothing but a slave. He's exposed to every form of inhumanity which makes him remember and reminisce in often flashbacks to the comfort with which his father comforted him. However, God who reigns supreme over all creations made him forget his father's house and whatsoever care it has had to offer. God compensated Joseph by the promotion and blessing of favour which culminates in his becoming a governor over the entire Egypt. A man who every knee bows to. On that note of having being comforted and greatly recompensed, he opens his mouth and calls forth his first born as "Manasseh". It means God has made me forget my father's house and all my servitude toils". Now is compensation and recompense time and I have been blessed and over blessed until I'm now swallowed up by blessing itself. May God supremely let the better swallow the bitter in your life. God is a payer. He's a restorer and He could pay you back according to the days you have wept or mourn. No loss in God. He'll so much recompense you that you'll forget all your toils and esteem less what used to give joy compared to what God would now give you.

The second name of Joseph's son is Ephraim and he as well attached a purpose to that. He said, "because God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction". It's not everybody who survives the lands of their affliction. The Blacks all over the world survived their different lands of affliction either in Brazil, U.S.A or the Caribbean. They rose from having endured much diminishing to growing into great people who owns businesses and does their things. Yet, despite all the hindrances. The same could be said of the Jews worldwide. They're always thriving people irrespective of the soil you plant them into. So, Joseph in reminisce named his second born Ephraim because God has multiplied, increased and given him a bounty even in the land of affliction. What I quickly want you see is that the expression, "affliction' contradicts "fruitfulness". In affliction, fruitfulness is stunted or all together exterminated but there's a testimony that can follow you which is to multiply and give your increase even in affliction and when strictly curtailed. The Israelites did and that's the Christian's experience if interpreted. Even when you're pressed on all sides, you're destined to still bring forth your best and rarest of wine. See.

Exodus 1:12, KJV

"But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel".

Did you read, "the more they afflicted them; the more they multiplied". That's very oxymoronic! It so much contrasts itself. No one naturally grows under affliction. They're pressed, choked and left to die but these ones survived. Joseph did also. He not only survived but he was fruitful or floral with initiative, wisdom and nuggets for nation/economy building and even in the fruits of his body. It's in Egypt he acquired a family and got satisfied with every good thing any longing soul desires. So, he names his second born "Ephraim".

God will do two things for you this morning. He wants you to forget your toil and be comforted over having lost your greatest source of happiness. God does this by raising a better fountain for us. If you have lost something that should comfort you yet you have experienced much toil in this life, first you'll receive a restoration that's better, so much more that you'll forget your toil. Hear me, you can forget your toil. When people forget their toils, it is experiencial experienced in the fact that even though they've once been inside the furnace, the furnace will not in any way be smelt on them anymore. They'll be all cured and recovered from the power and harm of their hardships.

Secondly, God wants to make you a fruitful vine. Jacob identified Joseph as that when he says, "Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall" (Gen.49:22). Did you see that? Imagine a plant whose branches runs over the wall. He also identifies he has been grieved and worried by archers but sustained and made strong by God's mighty hand (23-24). All these are God's acts which you'll receive today. You'll forget that evil past because a good tomorrow shall supplant it! I see you spreading your tentacles - a great manifestation of florallness.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank you because you have made me forgotten my toil and my past. I see and receive a new future. I grow like a fruitful bough.

THE RISEN AND UPRIGHT SHEAF: A New Month Message

THE RISEN AND UPRIGHT SHEAF

Welcome to month risen and month upright. I am Olusola ADEJUMO M'Wings, your host on Morning Wings.

Brethren, it's my prayer that you will stand and then stand upright. When you stand, you will stand tall. You won't be bowed because everything that can bow you will be bowed for your sake. And if you've been bowed (forcefully put under by the machinations of the devil), I call you back to your rightful place in Jesus' name.

As we enter this new month, it's occuring to me to teach on your sheaf standing up and standing upright. What does the Bible say about someone's sheaf who's our envy for this teaching?

Genesis 37:7, KJV

"For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf".

The sheaf of Joseph did two things. It ROSE and then stood UPRIGHT. Others' however stood round his and worship it. It is clearly clear here that one shall serve the other; one shall be master and the other, the servant.

Now, let me quickly tell you that those sheaves are representations of those brothers and Joseph himself in the spirit. Your sheaf is your representation in the spirit. Just like every church founded by God has a candle stick before Him in heaven, so also all of us have representations before God. We'll take the sheaf as an example. Your sheaf is you. However, let's enquire, "what must happen to your sheaf?" It should only be that it rises and stands upright always.

If your sheaf has known uprightness and suddenly is bent; you may need to quickly seek troubleshooting and restoration. You've heard of people who were once successful and were the rave of the town but which something suddenly or by process of time subdues. He was once he that everybody calls and runs to. Now, it is he seeking every contact he could call. O my Jesus!

This world is full of envy and if you refuse to be strong, you'll surely be stamped out. Sheaves are contesting even in the work and political place for recognition and greatness. Evil machinations are being deployed to see that others are bent and bowed over. Competition may be so fierce that a fellow noticed for the spirit of excellence may want to be taken out for envy. The exact that they unleased against Joseph wondering what would later become of his dream. For this reason, you must seek power divine so that your sheaf will rise and stand upright always irrespective of the acts. Standing upright shows distinction. It is a mark of excellence and also headship. May you carry that headship today.

More importantly, the upright sheaf is a sign of visibility. A thing that stands is easily seen. Many people there be who are not visible to people (who should notice them) because their sheaves are lying on their sides. Imagine someone's sheaf being on the ground in the spirit instead of being risen and upright.

Ten people who sell or trade may be in a neighborhood and only one is notably visible to customers. It doesn't matter what others do. Even if they relocate upstairs, fix a big bill board for awareness or put in place customer relation ethics, yet customers may not be appealed to buy from them. I hope you know that there are those who engage the occult world for such result, so much more that they haul the customers of others to themselves. It's a function of the spirit (demonic) working with him or her. You can't wade it off by naturally working harder or making your shop more appealing. You have to counter and engage that spirit with God's power. That hold must be broken on you so that your sheaf that has been put to sleep, put under or on the ground would rise and stand upright. It's only then, mark me, only then you'll be visible.

It is because you haven't learnt spirit things that makes you solely believe that locating a venue at a junction, by the road side or in a place of concourse is what would make you have patronizers. You better quit this act! No! John the Baptist was in the wilderness yet all Jerusalem, Judea and environ around went out to him (Matt. 3:5). People were rushing to his ministry. Why? They were appealed by the Spirit. There's Spirit awareness and recommendation when it is God who first sets you up. Meanwhile, I won't debate with you if why you wanted siting at a place of concourse is to hold yourself accountable immediately before people or fight the spirit and reproach of not wanting to be named or seen with Christ especially in this your day of small beginning. If that be, you're vindicated.

What matters is that your sheaf stands up. What matters is that you have a candlestick before God. If you're this recognized and approved by heaven, they'll come one and all to your church. It is the mystery of the risen and upright sheaf.

I pray for you that your sheaf will rise. The Bible says, "a city set on a hill cannot be hidden neither do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel but on a lamp stand to give light to all that's in the room" (Matt.5:14-15).

When your sheaf rises up and stands upright, you immediately become a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. Irrespective of your siting, you'll be attractive, locatable and visible. They'll just be searching you out. May I say that the visibility every true man should strive for is spirit visibility first of all. When your sheaf has taken its place in the spirit and is not bowed but upright with forthrightness, you'll be noticed. If your sheaf is laying down, bent and bowed in the spirit however, men may continue to bypass you for good. You may be beautiful but you won't just get proposals and if you do, only from players. But once this deed of the risen and upright sheaf effects itself on you, you immediately begin to sell. It will be you they'll send for, enquire from, give to, promote, belove and even choose above others. It's because you're set where you are locatable. You're a city set on a hill which can no longer be hidden. You've broken fetters and blasted bushels. You have refused to be caged or subdued but rather to manifest unfettered. So, men would be persuaded of you.

It doesn't matter what has happened to you and changed your position and status for another. Today, I'm sent to say, RESTORE! Whereever sheaves that should be worshipped are the ones worshipping, I cause a reversal. Princes might have become slaves you know and they might even have exchanged rides for a lower status or degree. However, the decree is that, "take your place. Let headship be clear. Receive that mark of distinction and be praised and noted for same.

I pray that any power supremely bowing your sheaf from rising and being observed for good are blasted and rebuked in Jesus' name. I say to you son and daughter of God that your sheaf will rise and rise uprightly in the gathering of sheaves. Amidst whomsoever, you won't be the one with a bowed and bent sheaf - begging for life and seeking to be. Rather, like Joseph, you'll be established as a risen and upright sheaf on your hill. You'll reign as chief because God is your upper arm and he Who gives you upper hand.

This month, you are RISEN and you are UPRIGHT! Be the head only!

WHEN THEIR SOULS SEEK SAFE PASSAGE - At Old Age Series 001

READ Gen.48

Genesis 48:1, KJV

"And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim".

What makes you a partaker of blessings is that you're not insensitive even on ordinary days. Great things happen on ordinary days. Special announcements of what might eventually be won't always go before you but you must be a discerner of seasons and times. Apart from this, I also pray that you will be on time and be guided by the Almighty's hands to where the carcasses has fallen. You won't miss any provision you should be its partaker in Jesus' name. Rather, you'll feel like visiting or being somewhere. Until you experience why you've felt being there, you wouldn't testify that's where you should be. If you won't miss heaven's provision however, you must lock up into the blessings specifically allotted for release and distribution at such period. You must smell that something is about happening and then you must seize that time.

After arrival from the compulsory one year National Service to my fatherland - Nigeria, I got a call from my mother to visit my paternal grandmother. I had a special tie with her. She adopted me for being my father's first born male and one with his resemblance. I didn't have much at hand then. I had only secured a job in a primary school. I felt indebted to her and so went in the company of my immediate younger brother to see her. She had relocated from her great estate in Balogun (near Ibeshe in Yewa South where her sawmill was located to the farm house in Yewa North (not even to her house in Sawonjo, Yewa North, Ogun State). I took the advice of my mother and bought some beverages as present. We met her that day. We talked a lot and from what we shared, I could tell if the time of somebody is up for departure. She blessed us that day and I was satiated that I had visited her (though unhappy) with some decisions she took concerning some properties. She probably did so any won't fight us later. It was the week following my mother called me she had passed on. I can bear witness that somebody could hold his breath until he or she sees a beloved child who he wants to custody something to. It happens that way.

That passage above says, "and it came to pass after these things that one told Joseph, behold thy father is sick...". That is what God owes you. He'll give you information that you must latch unto. He'll let a chariot pass before you but He'll leave you to take it. One told Joseph that his father is sick. We don't know whether that one was specifically sent to bear to him that special message or he just got wind of it and thought it wise to tell him. However, one (an uncertain and undesignated) fellow availed Joseph the opportunity that he took. Now, what did he do when one told him his father was sick? The Bible records that upon hearing that, he took his two children: Manasseh and Ephraim with him to behold his father. Should this be the response of Joseph to his father being sick? Are those two kids medicines to bring healing to Israel? One might think this is a vain effort. You may begin to wonder why Joseph would take two minors with him to see an aged old man - someone whose world is far distant from those two upcomers. However, Joseph has ears to hear. He has learnt the wisdom of the aged. He knew that the time might be near. He knew that Jacob might be seeking safe passage to depart from this shore in peace for arrival in the next in love. At least, we know he's already an aged man. On that note, he not only went, he carried his own down-lines and representatives (after himself) with him. He wants to seek to establish a connection and a link between today (in his children) and yesterday (in his father).

While I was a campus president and I was to handover in all the three places I was a president, there were special visitations made to personalities (fathers of the land/alumni) just like there were handing over of documents and other necessary information to the newly elected president for continuity. This is what ensures the flow is not broken. What Joseph does here is to bring his children and connect them with a man significant enough as a generation. Israel is a direct heir to the covenant God cut with Abraham. He's a partaker of flows from his own father, Isaac as inherited and given to him by his own father, Abraham. No wonder, in blessing these lads, Israel says, "the Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth" (Genesis 48:16, KJV).

That's what Joseph got in return for that act of taking his children with himself to visit a dying grandpa.

Genesis 48:8-9, KJV

"8 And Israel beheld Joseph's sons, and said, Who are these?

9 And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom God hath given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them".

Israel collected these two children for himself and then blessed them. Something significant do happen on people's death bed that you must be aware of. Fathers want to divide inheritance and give the final blessings. And at times, the best is reserved for the end. It's then secrets are muttered and prophecies are delivered. Heaven do open then. The sensation is always strong. If you'll be sensitive as well and watch life's events unfold even after their death, you'd see that some of what they said are prophecies coming to pass. When the time of your own elders are up, it's a blessing being with such flames to hear their journeys and receive their blessings. It is also a good thing going with your kids. It must be the endeavour of all fathers or parents to connect tomorrow with its yesterday. How we do that is by creating a bridge by which our children could connect with their grandparents. Never dissociate your children from your parents. When you visit home, do make endeavour to go with your kids (especially he or she you've discovered by ordination of God as your heir). Begin to take them on journeys of understanding and relation with elders and those that matters. Let some of your children even do service to your parents. Let them trigger their blessings. Begin to develop in them the importance of having in their arsenal and as a backup spiritual people. Such exposure would train their faculty to respect elders and crave to have the blessings that could only be imparted by them. You know, one major experience hasn't left me. My father once took me somewhere to visit an elder one time. While he was on his belly prostrating to that man, I was on my feet watching. I was just amazed and carried away by other things. So, he told me to greet by prostration as well. Then, the man blessed me. Elders know that their times are up. They have a gun pointed at their heads. What they seek to do is to continue living through/in other people. They know they can't live for ever. For this reason, they raise those who could have their spirit and continue after them. What a blessing to hear one father say to me one day that, "I am his seal and the proof of his ministry". I was warned not to make a mess of that.

The Bible says, "a good man lives inheritance for his children's children" (Prov.13:22). Jacob did just that when he adopted and made his own these two children of Joseph. This adoption made them to be honoured so even with inheritances later in time (Joshua 16:4). Be full of discernment. Ensure you collect from the past what the future could run with before its departure. Bring your children to the hole from which you're dug and from the rock from which you're hewn and let them belove them with blessings. May the prophet prophesy over them. May they not lose their inheritances. May you have yours as you position to be a beneficiary of what fathers carry. Something happen at departure, deportment of blessing it is called. May it fall on you all.

PRAYER: Lord, bless all fathers to bless all fathers. We receive awareness to be present at moment of blessings.

CAN THE HOLY SPIRIT COLLECT FROM YOU ANYTHING? - The Commanded Series 002

READ Mathew 1:18-20

Matthew 1:20, KJV

"But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost".

The day you're born again is the day you're admitted into God's kingdom. In that kingdom, resources are sent and are received. Just like we transfer through bluetooth - from one end to the other, same is how things flow. Without God having to lay pipes, transportation happens daily.  Meanwhile, resources could be passed through anyone. What matters is that such is faithful to part with it. Faithfulness is all that matters in service to our King of kings. The ravens didn't hold Elijah's bread. They were under command and they acted commanded. Same with that widow of Zarephath. This should be our general testimony. A man or woman that God can find locatable and ready to meet others' needs and serve them their food (as God has given us). Please, not for impression or you might soon pass into the border of dead works.

As you grow or get where you trust God as your provider, He can begin to prove so.  However, let it be that you can be a vessel for God to pass blessings through. If you're holding anyone's bread and God asks for its release, let it be that you'll be that type of man that in fear and gratitude of being found a vessel release it. Have the testimony of one that there's nothing God can't collect from him.

We all know Joseph, to whom Mary, the mother of Jesus was betrothed. The Bible however says before they come together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Not knowing that, Joseph seeks to divorce her secretly. That he's even doing it secretly tells us he is not revengeful but a man who has been discipled and has learnt God. However, while he contemplates the matter, he has a dream where an angel tells him to take Mary unto him as his wife and that what's in her is of the Holy Ghost.

You see, there's no 'lie' other than that! There's no unsavoury thing to hear other than that but Joseph knew who has communicated to him and so he submitted. The end of all strife. You can agitate but do until the Spirit witnesses to you. It's a sign of true brokenness. Many times, when God passes somebody bread to you and demands it to be given, you reluctantly with wrinkles on your face contemplates it. That may be. However, ensure it's eventually passed. On occasions, you don't even act and God is not eventually glorified through you. How much more if it were on a matter like this? Would you not find that hard to release to God? You see, you will determine to what extent you want to walk with Jesus. You'll determine how much He can trust you. If you're the type that God can't collect something from; or call to lay a matter to rest, then you can have your way and see how it goes. Over the years, I have proven God is right even by my experience. The Bible says the Spirit of God will not always strive with man. It means it will strive with you first.

Genesis 6:3, KJV

"And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man..."

If God strives with you and you're not redressing on what He's raising with you, He'll eventually leave you to yourself as a reprobate. He will usually come to you on that same matter more than once but if He found you unadmnistrable, then you should know that's not kindness to you. On the occasions God had placed demands on me and I have refused, when I saw the outcome and how the matter went, I regretted it. It was after then I saw reasons enough why I should have done as he bidded me. You can trust God and trust the process. All of us are resources in His kingdom. He can administer us physically to where He'll want us be or administer resources through us to others. Joseph didn't have to be repeatedly told to take in Mary. Once was enough. I'll say, "that's a disciple". Who knows whether he made mistakes while learning this earlier also but he proves to be our good example? I don't know what Christianity you practice that it's your Lord that constantly demands you to slay your Isaac - even of your will and an already made decision yet with continuous overdue refusal to do so. Brother, sister, watch your behind. This is not a good testimony. Time of ignorance God has generally winked at. He's commanding all men to repentance and obedient living. If we're living stones that make up God's kingdom, should we not know He'll use us for whatsoever reasons He purposed as need may be. We are not inanimate. Even the inanimate can and do praise God. May you be found. May God call your name and may you hearken to him.

PRAYER: Lord, I lay any matter of contest between us to rest. Forgive and restore me joy.
