MORNING WINGS DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE - Olusola ADEJUMO

I GOT MY MIND MADE UP

Read Acts 21:1-14

Acts 21:13, KJV

"Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus".

I once heard somebody told a story of a young chap who said he would jump down from a storey building. Crowd eventually gathered. However, he was being hypocritical about it. Yes, because he neither jumped but rather repeatedly echo, "I will jump". If he really wanted to jump, he wouldn't do much announcement but rather take off into the air. By such action, he'll be measured to have been very very serious. We ought to move from intention or profession to acting. Many people are really really reluctant when it comes to acting or taking the step that matters. They are not different from the King's Horseman in the Nobel Laeuretes' Wole Soyinka's _Death and the King's Horseman_ . The King's Horseman according to the Yoruba tradition ought to die to accompany the spirit of the deceased king to the realm beyond. However, his reluctance proves he actually does not want to die. His delay proves he loves life and would device to cling to it. This man is therefore slow in action - especially the sort that's expected from a ready heart.

God forbid! May you not be like these two fellows above. May you be such one who has made up his mind and then follows it with action. May you be like Jesus with a tilted face set towards Jerusalem. May you have made up your mind on what to pursue and not resign from in this life.

In today's passage, by the Spirit of God, Paul is first signalled that he should not go to Jerusalem (Acts 21:4). Did he hearken? No! On another occasion not at all distanced from the first; a reputable prophet by the name Agabus prophesies that Paul would be bound in Jerusalem.

Acts 21:11, KJV

"And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles".

The prophecy is so dramatic and graphic that a shivering heart would have been scared out of what is purposeful for him to do. I just learnt here that knowing the will of God before hand pays a lot. If you do, nothing could come shaking or violently root you up. It'll help your perspective of things and give you right judgement on new matters. That's why it's popularly said that those who stand for nothing will fall for everything. They can't but be tossed to and fro. Since God doesn't contradict Himself, it means that word of knowledge was not given to Paul to deter him from appearing before and witnessing to kings and nobles as the Lord Jesus had afore said of his ministry and assignment.

Acts 9:15-16, KJV

"15 But the Lord said...for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: 16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake"

That Paul would even suffer many things which these two predictions warned about isn't a new thing. They are disclosures Paul has been living with and bearing in mind till then. So, those prophecies [while they're from God] are rather for the sole purpose of affirming and preparing his soul ready again for what he'll face. Also, they are timely predictions to prepare him for the last phase of his ministry and the need to hold on. No wonder, even Jesus appears to him while in bound encouraging and reminding him of the need to further bear the gospel before kings.

Acts 23:11, KJV

"And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome".

So, we should know to what end a word of knowledge is given. For Paul, it was never intended to stop him but encourage him to face what lies ahead him in grace and the strength of our Lord Jesus Christ. But looking at these words of knowledge on different occasions, you'll have thought Paul would have perished or repented of any thought to go to Jerusalem. Rather, Paul runs the contrary. He tells the brethren who had begun to weep and plead with him not to leave why they'll be doing that to break his heart. He is firm and decisive in his speech. Paul only sees them as being petty and hindering God's will that should be fulfilled in him and through him. God has already told him that prison and bounds await him wherever he goes. That is not to scare him but to prepare him ready and make him remain steadfast in assignment. Paul in replying the brethren cautions them not to cry. He admits he's not only ready to be bound but to die for Christ if need be. That's how much he's sold to purpose. He could even go the extra mile. This is nothing else but a mind that's made up. And if I'll say, no mind is made up which doesn't first of all have a cause behind his resoluteness. How worthy is your cause?

This is the kind of person God wants you to be. Purposeful heart that can not be persuaded out of God's will and all classified for him. Paul is so strong in subduing the situation under his control that all the pleading eventually quietened when they observes he'll not be persuaded. They rather commits him into God's hands and that His will would be done in his life. This is who I want to be. I want to model after this kind of immovable resolution. Some will call it stubbornness and others label it as pride. But this is resolution coming from a prepared heart that knows God's will and will refuse to be moved from it. A heart that's ready to do the will of God - eat His meat and finish it. As a matter of fact, why Paul refuses to be dissuaded is so that he might finish his course.

Therefore, beware of pettiness when purpose is at stake. At the edge of doing the will of God which is utmost to your destiny and will be obedience to God, you'll meet with dissuasion that you must be firm with and not allow to turn you. Some could have temporarily cut off family to travel abroad for studies, go into the army or pursue a life, career or destiny that'll be one day glorious and for which they'll be famed on earth and rewarded in heaven. However, they allow voices of parents, siblings, sponsors and sometimes mentors to drown them. This way, they couldn't travel into this future of excellent things of eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, neither has it entered into the heart of any man what God has prepared for them. I pray for you that you shall be loosed into your greatness. You won't stay back when you should journey into purpose. No voice will be strong enough to win you over from the future that God has preordained for you even pre your conception. One man once said he stayed back in the village when his age mates were leaving for Lagos in those days. He said it became the reason for his smallness till date. Some of you also, there's a call on your head. I hope you'll heed it and pursue it. If not, you'll have successfully being hindered from seeing your better days and that off course lies in front.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive grace and gift of discernment. May the devil not disguise through authority figures to dissuade me from path I should take and the way I should go.

NOT ANOTHER BUT NOAH

Genesis 5:28-29, KJV

"28 And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: 29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed".

He called his name what? "Noah!" That is because he'll be the one who will comfort them concerning the work and toil of their hands, because of the ground which the Lord has cursed.

We are still considering names, naming and what event or experience culminates into the eventual name given to individuals. Lamech was 182 years old when he gave birth to Noah. This is typical of all parents as they're usually of a particular, definite and certain age when they give birth to their children. That of their first born always write itself strongly in their memories. He names him, "Noah". Noah means "relief". According to that verse, there's an expectation over Noah and that'll be to bring relieve to Lamech, the household and the entire human world from the curse that was set in motion from the disobedience of Adam and Eve. Lamech hopes that something will happen through Noah. He hopes that Noah won't be an ordinary child but one who will bring expectation to pass. On that note, the long desired craving of Lamech reveals itself in the naming of his child, Noah. Lamech like any other human being is a victim of the cursed ground. They eat in the sweat of their brows and all they work for is to keep their bodies together yet without a break. That being too much, they all hope that there'll be salvation and relief through Noah. Should we say Lamech is having the vision of God or prefiguring what can't but come to pass? Has he seen something divine and extraordinary about Noah and his journey so much more that he now latches unto him as same that'll comfort them from their toil. That verse reads like this: "this same (that is Noah, the just born) shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands..."

Mark, "this same". This same means it is Noah who will fulfill that call of a comforter and relief giver. It means it shall no longer be postponed but that Noah as a type of Christ (who by His death and sacrifices erase all curses, thereby redeeming us from them) shall be the one to relieve the entire household and consequently his generation. Lamech by seeing into Noah's future could reackon that Noah is a type of the Messiah. Indeed, it was he God called to come into the ark, he and all his household (Genesis 7:1). In this way, a remnant was saved for the world just by his righteousness and obedience. Noah is a type of Christ because he provided a salvation (in the ark) for the world.

So, Lamech in naming Noah named him from a heart full of vision and expectation. He looked into the future having seen what they all desired a change over and agitates in petition that, "this same (Noah) shall be our relief, comforter and rest". There are children who by their callings and who they'll amount to will be the ones who will wipe the tears of their parents, household and the entire ancestry. Do you think the Bible says, "they shall raise the former desolations" for nothing (Isa.61:4)? No! God was prophesying concerning such people whose call is to bring relief and holiday to people in their toil and stress. May you be that to your parents. May you wipe their tears. May you be same that'll comfort them, and that on all sides.

The bellies of parents are deep. God says, "I know the thoughts that I have towards you and that they are thoughts of good and not of evil but to give you a hope and a future (Jer.29:11). Parents also have same kind thoughts towards their children and it reveals in what smooth and meaningful names with which they're named. From the naming and name of Noah, he has both hope and a future. His life immediately contrasts with Jabez, a man named in the midst of multitude of sorrow. That day when Noah was named, he was set in motion and his call hovers over him seeking fulfilment.

If I ask how many of you know Lamech as such, you'd say, just little. But I'm sure you know Noah pretty much and that's because of the landmark things God used him to achieve in his generation. He was found righteous before God. Imagine that! By him therefore, a remnant was preserved for the human race. May your name which is an encoded prophecy find fulfilment in your latter days for good. May you meet and surpass expectations. May you not disappoint it. May you be the one who will relieve the longing eyes and expectant feet of their toil. May we no longer seek another having seen you. John's disciples were sent to ask Jesus if he was the one to come or they should expect another. Jesus immediately provided them with testimonies and proofs that he was he to be expected and who has arrived (Matt.11:2-6). It was case closed that day.

People, a name can carry an expectation. Noah's is an example. As if it were afore written of him or already prefigured, Lamech grips the revelation for the moment and declares, "this same (not another I'll give birth to after him or that may come from any other person after him) but this same Noah that shall be the one to comfort and relief us from all our toil. May you be this the expected without missing one detail of your calling. You're as well called with the saviour's call and anointed with his oil.

PRAYER: Lord, what are Your expectations over me? What are those good thoughts of parents? Let them all find fulfilment altogether.

GOING AND MEETING IT SO

Luke 2:10-12 KJV

"10 And the angel said unto them...11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger".

Yesterday, I told you that the life I want to live is the life that predicts it and then have same prediction. Thoughts of welfare have been verbalized concerning each of us. They've gone into our future but we can meet with them and live according to their dictates. Abraham, the father of faith himself told the head of his house that, "the Lord God of heaven who took him from his father's house...shall send His angel before him..." In this manner, that servant of Abraham was assured. He went and he met it so. Everything played out for his good in a foreign land. At the gate, he met a woman prepared and ordained by the Lord for Isaac who will not care less but care for him and even the ten camels! He raised the standard high to test the authenticity of God being involved, yet he met someone who will still be willing to fulfill such a hard requirement of giving him drink and then his camels. What a word that has come to pass! To this end, he bowed and worshipped God who has done unto him as Abraham had said. The angel Abraham talked about who would go before him was to arrange things for him and make all impossibilities become possibilities to him. What a glorious God! I'm in awe of you! Lord God, this is the life I want to live. The life that sees predictions being fulfilled for good in his sight. The life that doesn't become less of what God has said. The life that coincident and hit on what has been said - all for good. May we not miss the mark!

Meanwhile, the Spirit of God wants to express some further things. An angel of God appeared to some shepherds, breaking the news of Jesus' birth to them and telling them as a sign, He would be found in a manger wrapped in swaddling clothes.  Notwithstanding, they endeavour to journey to see. Upon arrival however, they found it to be true.

Luke 2:16, KJV

"And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger".

According to the delivery angel's word, the babe would be found in a manger. At their arrival, it was so. This is not coincidence. It is God's arrangement to fulfill and meet what was said. If not, such major detail about how Jesus would be found could have changed before their arrival. Will it take a minute to take Jesus out of the manger and put Him somewhere else? However, when God was speaking through that angel, it's the conclusion of the event God was uttering. He has seen it and now He declares it. We haven't seen it and that's why it behooves us. However, before it happens in the realm where we could experience it, God declares it to us that we might praise Him for His greatness. No wonder, one of the things those shepherds later celebrated was what they heard that angel told them which they eventually met so. It's amazing and they couldn't keep it.

Luke 2:20, KJV

"And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them".

Brethren, God is not a liar. He is not even the son of man that He should change His mind. What has He spoken to you as promise? You will find it so. The difference between "here" and "there" of fulfilment of what He has said is "t" denoting time. By time when you make arrival, you shall witness all those things having come to pass. You'll be so much gripped in you that you'll shout, "this is the Lord's doing" and it's marvellous in our sight. It always commands attention when it is the sole work done by the Lord. Wait for it. It shall speak. That promise shall speak. Even though it tarries now, it shall seek fulfilment because it's a word on errand.

PRAYER: Lord, all words of welfare that have gone ahead of me, I receive their fulfilment live.

MORNING WINGS DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE - Olusola ADEJUMO

DIVINE FORERUNNERS ARE BEFORE YOU

READ Gen.24:1-20

Genesis 24:6-7, KJV

"6 And Abraham said unto him, Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again. 7 The LORD God of heaven, which took me from my father's house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou  shalt take a wife unto my son from thence".

Do you know what confidence Abraham has before saying the above? Do you? Look, it is the confidence coming from having walked with God. This man's statement reveals that He has learnt God and knows what He's reputed for. Read the verse for the day again and see that truth hidden in every pieces of the writing.

First, it's, "...the Lord God of heaven which took me from my father's house and from the land of my kindred..."

Abraham is saying, "I am the called or the called out". See, you may not know how hard it is stepping out or being called out of your security until God calls you out. Some people are guided out of their security but I'm talking of being led out of your security. When you thus hear God saying, "intentionally pack your loads and leave" and not you finding yourself by chance somewhere but which later becomes your God given Rehoboth, you'll understand the full import of being called. So, the first reference of Abraham goes to if He calls me out as a nobody and takes me on such a journey that makes somebody of me; then, I can trust Him.

The second to consider is, "and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land..."

God not only called him out but he has been beloved and has experienced God's special love. He believes in the God who swears He'll give birth (at an impossible age) yet He did. He's fully trusting in that God who has made the promise of giving him such land to look for means of perpetuating it in the hands of his down-lines. On that note, Abraham believes this last part of God sending an angel before them will be possible.

Look at me, the kind of life I want to live is "the Lord's doing". So far, I know that's what can be "marvellous" in the sight of all. Abraham didn't speak like a newbie when he said assuredly that God would send an angel before his servant. He speaks out of having walked and experienced God for years. He has seen indeed that God does not fail. A thousand of them may disappoint but God does not fail. On this note, boldly and assuredly, he says, God - who did all we have recounted and analysed to him can't but care again by sending his angel ahead of them in order to jealous for him (Abraham). I pray for you that on occasions that things will concern you, God will send His angels ahead of you and release resources for your sake. Abraham is not doubtful of heaven releasing their resources for his sake. Though it's his son who wants to marry yet it is clear that's Abraham's need. Do you know what I'm seeing there? Your God will not only protect and jealous for you, it will for your down-lines. All your labour of love shall be remembered and they can be reaped by extension by your down-lines. Also, I'm seeing another truth there. Patronage spirits (Holy Spirit or satanic) over families and ancestries always involve themselves in the marital choice of those they are to watch over. Abraham has a covenant with God and that hands Himself and all that'll ever proceed from Him to God. Even when an Israelite or a Jew is misbehaving, God for Abraham's sake can be merciful on him. The truth is how much more if we're in Christ and have the new covenant? In that passage we read, the angel that'll go before that servant is a messenger and part of the resources of God that Abraham cut a covenant and is in a relationship with. In essence, Abraham has done one thing. It is, "how can God forsake me when He has patronage and obligation over my family? He will go before you therefore". If you're born again, all heaven's resources are at your disposal. Be assured of that like Abraham assuredly told his servant. God won't watch. He'll go before you and prosper your journey. Even before you get there, He'll take thought for you. He'll make all the necessary arrangements. Things will fall into their spaces. You will meet it so".

Indeed, this servant travelled. At arrival at the gate of the city, he prayed that God would prosper his journey and remember His servant, Abraham and then he gave out some demands. Unlike Abraham who's a serious believer and who works in faith, this servant though walking in faith, does in a lesser dimension. Any who asks for signs is either faithless or of little faith. Shockingly, all those were met. Divinely coincidental and fitting time, Rebekah was sure aroused to go to the well. To test the reality of God sending an angel before him and the reality of all the signs he listed being fulfilled, Rebekah didn't object to giving him a drink and then giving his ten camels.

You see, if God was not in this thing, it wouldn't have worked. I don't know that humble lady that'll give you a drink and then give to ten camels! A camel drinks at least 15 gallons of water. It means those camels at least drank 150 gallons of water. Yet, the Bible says, "until they have finished drinking" (24:19). Of a surety, God must have secretly commanded Rebekah and made her vulnerable to those wishes, prophecy of Abraham and prayer of his servant. Rebekah therefore becomes like the commanded widow of Zarephath that God put under command (oath of a kind) for the sake of Elijah. I pray for you that men shall come under command for you. Where you need help and you're on tip toe for it, it shall be as you desire. Help shall be availed you beyond normal. You won't only drink but you'll receive a helper who'll go the extra mile of taking thought for your extra luggages. Those of you single mothers who want to remarry. This is your time. The Lord is here. I say, receive the man who will give you drink and take complete thought for the number you'll bring."

Brethren, look at me, the Spirit of prophecy is my witness. God do send angels before people. I call them "sweepers" or let's say, "forerunners". They'll make your way before you prosperous. I left home for higher education at age 17. I sure believe angels went before me because my way was prosperous. Yet, there's something special about age 17 because that's the age Joseph fed the flocks with the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah (Gen.37:2). Today, the future you don't see shall be settled because angels shall go before you. Abraham predicted it and though no physical angel appeared or was spoken about in that passage, yet we have reasons to believe an angel went to put things on ground for Abraham's sake. God will be jealous for you for Jesus' sake. Angels will go before you. You'll meet it so. The life I want to live is the type that tells people, "go and you'll see and witness this and that" and which will meet it that way. No wonder that servant bowed and worshipped God having seen how he was guided to the house of his master's kindred (Gen. 24:27). You'll also be led and guided. You won't journey all alone. You'll go in the right path and meet the appointed person.

PRAYER: Lord, send an angel ahead me to always prepare my way before me.

THE CROSSING OF PATH AND THE MEETING OF VENERABLE JOHNSON OYEBODE OF IJEBU ANGLICAN DIOCESE

THE CROSSING OF PATH AND THE MEETING OF VENERABLE JOHNSON OYEBODE OF IJEBU ANGLICAN DIOCESE: The fulfilment of prophecy and destiny.

That day, I came to campus to pack my remaining books. That was when I met this newly priest posted to St.Peter's Anglican Church, Ijagun.

Ahead of time, during my excoship as the fellowship president, I had told my second tenure excos that the Lord would have me go to Nicopolis. God gave me Titus 3:2. However, I didn't know where Nicopolis was or who my trainer would be there. But I was very sure God would have me trained for ministry. I told them that.

If you ever knew #EuniceOlabode, #OgunlanaSamuel, #OreoluwaRunsewe, #NguBarak, #OluwabusayomiAdams, #OduroyeMoninuola, #OgunsekanFolakemi, #AnjolaTella, # MelekiDaniel etc, they'll tell you Bro Sola kept repeating Nicopolis and how God would have him trained there.

When my path crossed with Canon's (as he was formerly called), I was at the gates of St. Peter's Anglican Church also known as Anglican Bus stop in Tai Solarin University of Education waiting to board a vehicle going to Ijebu Ode where I stayed then. He met me at the gate and we started a discussion. He said he had learnt I was the previous fellowship president. He requested for what I had in those bags and I revealed same as, "my books." He said, "come and see."

O my God! Come and see shelves. Come and see books. All the books I coveted to read were there. Kenyon is what I'm seeing. Look at Haggin peeping at me. What about those big big books? Those are on theology. O Jesus! I've never seen an orthodox minister having much books like this. That's how we knew ourselves. So, I'll come to the vicarage to do vigil with him often. From there, I packed into the vicarage. Like he'll say, "I didn't know how 'Sola got into my house.' Indeed, he didn't because we didn't sit down formally to agree, "tomorrow, I'll pack in." Only that as I came, something about him, the anointing -  Holy Spirit and his words which carry spirit and life)  kept drawing me back until I tore myself from Ijebu Ode and became apprenticed to him.

It was said of Enoch that he walked with God and was not again. That happened to me. As I went back and forth from him, I conclusively and decisively weaned myself to be given away to him and what God would have him do to me. After all, I remembered the Nicopolis instruction and concluded after examination that, "this is it." People (especially the ASFITES I handed over to) were later shocked finding me living with this holy prophet and anointed teacher. Since he was their vicar, I'll follow him to observe his ministration with them once in a month. It was then these students saw their former revered papa carrying the Bible of this holy man in honourable service but what probably might have been labelled a reproach. They wouldn't believe it. All those who would call me papa after the campus order having being the campus president and fellowship's might have thought it diminishing for me to submit to someone who's within our jurisdiction and least of all, an Anglican Priest. Even many Anglicans don't esteem Anglican Priests as authentic. They just believe they're sloppy and undiscerning spiritually. But as all of those students would later come to recon, they knew Oyebode was different. He would teach as if he shouldn't stop. You always want to hear him more. Something ties you to whatsoever he utters. The interest is always there. Deliverance would be ongoing. Demons screaming and fleeing their hidden places. His parting and pathing anointing would make people fall hither and thither while he'll bluntly instruct in the comfort of the Holy Spirit. Terrible teacher and prophet.

It must be for a reason like that the then #BishopAyodeleAwosoga of Ijebu Anglican Diocese who's of blessed memory posted him from Waterside to Ijagun to till the land of students and break up their fallow grounds. And he still did in his little years full of striving against forces hell sent against his ministry. I was eyewitness to all as I fought side by side with him in warfare at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Ijagun.

Since 2015 till date, I'm still with daddy. His family opened up to me and many children that the star guided to their Bethlehem. What they (the family) ate was what I ate. Nothing hidden, nothing amiss. Mummy Oyebode would ensure any don't miss home in her home. A woman fervent in prayer and spirituality herself. May the Lord bless daddy and mummy Oyebode for #EmmanuelOyebode, #FavourOyebode, #MercyOyebode, #GraceOyebode and all of us.

I call them my siblings because that's who they are. Grace (their last born) one day asked daddy, "is Bro 'Sola our elder brother?" For a little girl of 6 to be asking this, "it means that Bro Sola must have stayed long enough as to have been counted in as one." Am I not one? I am because I have inherited that minister though he yet lives.

Daddy, you're my father. Your oil is on me. The works you do I do. I won't badly repay you. I won't waste all the secret impartations or even the words unverbalized but which I understood. It's the intention of good fathers that their children would double their work.  Elisha requested for the "double portion of Elijah's spirit." He doubled him. Jesus promised His disciples greater works and they did. I'm doubling you as your soul might have blessed me. This oil of yours on me has opened doors unto us to enter Europe, America and Asia. We've already surrounded the Scandinavian nations with our gospel and are progressing. However, I still seek opportunity to come and serve you though I'm in my own destiny land. I long for home to tarry round your grace while you instruct me and others in wisdom. I want to INCREASE LEARNING! I want to wash your car, polish your shoes, wash your handkerchief, accompany you to ministrations, jingle the bell while you sing (which I was first embarrassed doing the first time you said I should) and above all, "see light in your light."

Anglican Students Fellowship, TASUED BRANCH and Ijebu Anglican Diocese obviously know Venerable Johnson Oyebode. He's a worthy man to learn Christ from. You're a righteous man. Your family is blessed having you. I lived with you before concluding that. I saw you well.

Discipleship is the goal even if you mistaken daddy for an archaic, rugged and demanding minister. He's a successful minister who has produced children after his own kind. Many in ministry today and other spheres of life. May I speak of #OluwabusayomiAdams, #ToluAdams, #AlfredGod's-Gift (Pastor), #TheophilusSeunKhale (Rev) and those ministers I'll like to cover. From your healing anointing that broke the shackles of a mad man, to your teaching anointing that could stay on a verse or run concordance on a singular word to study, to the prophetic that I've seen dived and divine to fetch secrets hidden about people, I covet all. All is what we all your children covets.

Father, as you hit a milestone and celebrate your birthday, may it be "long life and God's salvation." May you be preserved to do more in the body of Christ. May you eat the fruits of your labour and be rewarded to your face. Morning Wings Ministry and I, #OlusolaADEJUMO M'Wings recognize your impact on us and celebrate you as our father. Baba Mi Oyebode!

WINDOWS IN HEAVEN!

Read II Kings 6:24-33, 7:1-2

II Kings 7:2, KJV

"Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof."

Elisha declared what the Lord would do but because of its unreasonableness in contrast with the ongoing situation, a lord examined it and judged it wrong. Situation has finally gotten him. Elisha said, "get ready for abundance"; he countered saying, "would that be possible even if God were to do a miracle."

Please brethren, under what condition then will it be possible to turn hopelessness around if not a "miracle" which has the potency to turn such unwanted situation caused by the Syrians around. If anyone will doubt a thing, it shouldn't be the fact that the mouth of the Lord said, "He'll do a miracle." We all know what a miracle is. We know that a miracle is a miracle. It is that which brings the divine to fore and to humanity's aid in order to cure his desperateness and needs. Miracles break conventions. If that be the case from our understanding of what miracle is, why should somebody then confess antagonistically that even "if the Lord does a miracle (by making windows in heaven), it won't still be possible for abundance to manifest." Yet, that's what God had said He'll do by that prediction of Elisha which ran ahead of the feedback of this straying lord. Are you seeing how mankind stumbles with his mouth? When things are hard and all hope gone, what else I repeat can we trust to plough and break the ground for us if not miracles? Why should any fool or wise one say then, "at the face of miracle, nothing would still change." Such must be crazy and he ought to be shown his folly because his denying that miracle can't be miraculous enough to make a turn around is actually accusing God of incapability. Such would have successfully said, "God's arm is short even if He stretches it out." That is slaughtering God and denouncing His power.

I was in the company of three people recently. We were praying. It was a very beloved sister of mine who was leading prayer on provision towards a cogent project ahead of us all. As the prayer tarried on provision, I saw that verse I quoted floating to me while same was  impressed firmly on my spirit. I heard, "windows in heaven!" Same was explained to me in that hour. The Lord responded, I'll make, "windows in heaven. I'll do a miracle and give one where you all thought less. I'll bring something out of nothing. I'll create ways where there are no ways in simple terms." This answer and explanation fitted the prayer request and so much assured me that I knew God was speaking to us. We've been praying for miraculous provision and encouraging ourselves to believe for same when I heard, "windows in heaven." I gave the brethren the prophecy and we concluded the prayer. That's how we secured our breakthrough and took God by His own appearing to us. Who's there thinking on provision? Who's there thinking of a way of escape over a thing? I declare, "windows in your heaven. Possibilities in your impossibilities. Ways for you where there'd been none. Something is made out of nothing for you."  No matter how hard things are for people and the world, you'll always hear a word behind you making your case different by the comforting declarative utterance of, "windows in heaven." This is your escape orchestrated by God. I say, "windows in heaven."

PRAYER: Thank you for windows in my heaven. Thank you for creating for me a way of escape. Thank you for bringing miracles to break my famine.

STOP THINKING IT INCREDIBLE!

WHY DO YOU THINK IT INCREDIBLE THAT GOD SHOULD DO THE IMPOSSIBLE?

I was cleaning up when I began my contemplation which almost got me flogged. I had asked, "nowadays, how could one get such hectares of land (like 100 in one place) where a city would be built?" I concluded, "they've owned and purchased all such available quantity of land." Just then, God came out of the blues. You remember as Abraham was about slaughtering Isaac, a voice came from heaven that instant to stop him (Gen.22:9-12). That was exactly what happened to me. That voice disclosed in this manner. "Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you that God should raise the dead?" I knew it was a direct quotation from the Bible and it means, "why do you have the thinking that a thing is unachievable, unbelievable or that it's impossible to be done? What if God is involved? Will it still be beyond belief or be too implausible to be true? Immediately, I sat right and I knew that was God cautioning me from disbelieving in possibilities and my prophecies. Believe it, I apologized. I said, "sorry sir." Then, I took dressing.

God illustrated to me further. He showed me the pastor of the largest church and said, "when I promised him a city, were the lands not all taken then? Were men not as covetous then as they are now? Do you think it would have been better thinking that way in his time or making you such promise and delivery then than now?" I had thought so. I had thought to be able to have such expanse of land that could accommodate a city of people and civilization (with churches, schools, banks, shopping malls, stadiums, parks, gardens, museums, just mention it), one must have owned it by now or probably since. He furthered "was land not as costly for those who wanted it at that time as it is now? Are you claiming it is easier making money then than making now for purchase? Have I even told you you'll use your money to buy me such land? Was it not some people who owned and possessed those lands at that time? How come he now has them for a city of the Lord?" After all these confronts, I was in agreement!

He proceeded, "I willed Canaan to Israel but hope you remember there were dwellers there? Hope you know it was actually not Israel's land from the start but I made some wicked idolatrous nations holders until Israel was ready and mature for its possession." I nodded to that also. Then, He went back to ask me, "Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you then that I [God] should raise the dead? (Acts 26:8).

"That God should raise the dead" there means "that God should do the impossible or that which is too good to be believed." I couldn't talk and He knew I had acknowledged my fault. I took my words back so it would be unto me according to His word, mind and prediction. I won't doubt. I'll be Mary at heart to see the prophesied things that await their times. He had opened the Bible further to enlighten me by quoting me these verses below.

Job 28:7-8, KJV

"7 There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture's eye hath not seen: 8 The lion's whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed by it."

God told me, "there are still reserved properties, virgin lands, unexplored arables despite the covetousness of men to own properties here and there and claim it all for themselves." I still have new things to do and offer. They are "eyes have not seen, ears have not heard and matters that have not entered into any heart (I Cor.2:9)." However, they're only prepared for those who love me - true followers, labourers and servicemen and women."  All in all, I was humbled and quietened.

People, as humans, we're men of desires. We have an endless "longitudinal" and "latitudinal" list of what we want to experience or achieve. However, we have reasons enough as to why each can't be achieved though we wanted them achieved. We're not to be blamed expressly, it is because we're limited in ourselves. Our frame is dust and so our contemplation and thinking at times may be doubtful and way earthly: void of any divine sense or revelation. God is saying I should ask you, "wetin you think say be hard like rock which you don call mission impossible because of some reasons? E said make you no commonise Him, E go do am for you." What baffles you don't roughen Him up. Mountains are not different from valleys to Him. The night is as day to Him. It is we humans who do classifications based on evidences we have found and named tangible. Those evidences may include "doctors' reports, human assessment of one's capabilities etc." So, having gone round this way, we draw a line, shut the door at ourselves and say, "that one is too high, marvelous, too important, really exotic and unimaginably dope to be fulfilled." At times, you may say, "those who are qualified for such life or extravagance are the heroes of faith or millionaires." You see, we call it "incredible, too shocking to occur, outrightly impossible or too high to touch." Once you get squashed into this form of thinking, you stop dreaming. Once dreams stop, hope and faith wanes to drop dead. Then, you stop living the non friction life that believes nothing is INCREDIBLE, SURPRISING, SHOCKING or TOO BIG for God to deliver.

The Lord is on me. He's heavy on me and I could sense Him. He is asking me to ask you to make a list of all the things that you have classified as "incredible or impossible" and attach their "WHYs" to it. God said, "He wants to glory over those WHYs which you thought could hinder Him from delivering answers to you just like He gloried both over the horse and its rider at the Red Sea."  He said "He wanted to see them." They're pretty light in His sight. Paul asked those present that day as he tables his matter before the council, "do you think it incredible (unbelievable, big, gigantic, magnanimous, impossible) that God should raise the dead? Do you think you are not born for some testimonies? There must be a why for this kind of thinking or belief and as I hear, I speak to you that "God is taking them over." He's enough for them and He'll wrap Himself round them all. That is God's own doing - to do the incredible, to do the impossible stemming from human judgement. With God, no mission is impossible. He will go and come. You, just hang on in faith. You, hold your peace. Sit at His right hand (of believing, observing and partnering on and on) and see Him to your face realize all those impossibilities which you've believed are too high to be given.

I ask conclusively, "Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead (do the impossible)?" What are your reasons? Is it scarcity of fund or health issue? Please, why do you think A or B is impossible? God is glorying over all your reasons. Did he not consume the sacrifice, the stones, wood and leak the water too (I Kings 18:38). Nothing shall be spared. He'll go round. I call Him Eliminator quick quick. Here, He is at work. Let Jesus be glorified in your situation. He has not stopped being beautiful for every situation. Believe it. It is not incredible with God to deliver you that impossibility.
