SET US A MARKER!

Psalms 74:9, KJV

"We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long."

When a marker is set or given to anyone or people; they sure can with that put preparation on ground or deduce how long. When a marker or sign is not set or seen at all, people know not what time to anticipate. They can't even tell when a particular event that's ongoing would come to an end or when exactly to await a predicted one or event. However, signs given or seen can increase hope and assure us of the coming to pass of a thing for which the sign was given. 

Elisha prophesying abundance into the future of Samaria sets a marker. He said in II Kings 7:1, "hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria." Since Elisha is a proven prophet, what any believing person ought to do is to check what time it is first of all and get ready for that time of the day the next day. That's not time to go to sleep or become inactive. It's rather a time of expectation on tip toes. I believe no believing person who heard this sign that Elijah gave went on to commit murder out of hopelessness as it might have been afore planned. Rather, hope was arisen in them to expect for the better. 

In John 5 at the pool of Bethesda, we see a community of invalids waiting for the moving of the water. The moving of the water is the sign or marker set in place for them. Once that sign is clearly seen, well interpreted and understood, everybody will immediately cast away all hindrances and begin to compete to touch the empowered or stirred water. But first of all, a sign had to be set for them. Else, nobody will know and there won't be any difference in action.

When a marker is not set or a sign put in place, people don't have a focused vision of what to do nor change their attitude. As long as the water is not visibly seen stirred (seeing it moving and dangling), nobody rushes towards the pool in strong action. It's not different from sounding a counch. If well interpreted, it could mean retreat or advance to battle. 

The Bible says, "we see not our signs..." That's the unfortunate situation these people found themselves in. They had no marker by which they could understand how long or how far. The entire horizon was just filled with silence for them. No guidance of any sort. They were just empty headed not knowing what to do because no information has been given to them to prepare them or make them ready. They were alone. You could call them "the forlorn." There was inactivity and no hope of what to do because no marker has been set to get the people ready for action. If only somebody would blow the whistle or release a gun shot into the air, that's when people can take off. However, nobody gives that sign. A marker or sign can be in a set time or predicted date or an event readying or foreshadowing a coming one by which those who have ears can prepare. I pray, may you not be alone. May you have signs to prepare with. May you have several markers to help you wait or anticipate correctly. When others are saying, "we are lost, futile and null in action because we see not our signs", may you say, "I am strong because I'm equipped with signs on when and what to expect." It's a blessing being given signs. It concentrates you on a goal and teaches you what to anticipate. Do you know that there are so many physical things in our realm that signals the coming of an event or season? When a typical African thunderstorm announces itself in the midst of a dark cloud, we may say, it wants to rain. How can you be without signs then? Never! Not again from henceforth. So, see your signs. Signs meant for the arrival of your prophecy. If no sign is given you, how would you know when a thing should elapse or become accomplished like Daniel in Daniel Chapter 9. However, you won't be alone again. Signs will rather be given to you to help you on and on. Receive your signs. Like stars in a dark night are clearly visible, let them so appear to you. 

PRAYER/CONFESSION: I see my signs. I am armed with signs. I take advantage of the signs..

WE SEE NOT OUR SIGNS! - My Sign Series 001

Psalms 74:9, KJV

"We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long".

There are those who are not seeing their signs again. They once saw, experienced and related with these signs but somehow it has vanished to become a thing of the past. 

May God save you from the confession that, "I see not my signs again". May you see your signs and may it rush at you and be common in occurrence like water. May you experience God, His vision and manifestations once again. May vision not be forever withheld in your life. May your menstrual flow that you've even for long missed be seen now. Anything that would be to you or is to you a restorer of your years or youth which you're currently missing, I command its restoration. Let there be a reoccurrence of those age long, good old days experiences. May your well of salvation fill up once more. May you with joy draw water from it. May you be readied. May you be at alert. May you become vigilant, active and aware like before. God is working on your spirit now! May you possess vibrancy and activeness like before. Today, all your signs that have disappeared begin to appear now. You begin to see what has gone missing. They're visible now like stars in the dark starry night. Your signs will shine forth. It will show forth. It will appear. So shall it be.

When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, since Jesus was a joy of the whole world and not of Israel or the Jews alone, God became obligated to make even men in far away East part of the joy and celebration of His birth. A great king has been born. They saw His star and being of understanding, they came to Jerusalem. It was this star that appeared to them while in their own land that put them on their journey. The initiative for the journey came because they saw a miraculous sign in the sky. They didn't launch out on their own. They were rather put on that journey. 

On getting to Jerusalem however, the sign they saw was no longer to be found again anywhere. So, they were confused and lost for awhile. To keep going towards their target, they had to make enquiry around as to where the King of the Jews was born. That's the only detail they have at hand. 

Matthew 2:2, KJV

"Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him".

People around must have taken them to Herod's palace because that's the best place strangers and those with such quests should report to. Herod enquires of the chief priests and scribes and the response is, "in Bethlehem of Judea". While Herod has an ulterior motive yet they were put on their way. As they check out of the palace like this, God who sees their hearts and sees how much they're questing after Jesus appears the star to them again. The Bible records that when they saw the star, they rejoiced greatly and it led them non stop until they got to the house. As a matter of fact, the star went to stay on top of that house baby Jesus was born saying, "herein is where your find is".

Matthew 2:9-10, KJV

"9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy".

Today, you also will find your find and see your lost signs again. All the former things that you once experienced and got blessed by but which have been cut off or now tarries shall begin to rush at you again. These wise men saw the star again. I could envisage how their looks were. When they saw it, the Bible says, "they rejoiced greatly". Why won't they rejoice greatly since that's what they've long missed? It once put them on their journey but now it's been awhile they saw it. But at the point of need, it shines forth again. How happy that sister would be to see her sign again - of getting pregnant again. It has once happened to you and it will happen again. How happy that sister will be to see her long ceased menstration begin to flow again. How happy that brother will be hearing that missed and lovely voice of God again. Today, you shall see your signs again. It shall come floating on the water. The Bible says, "and the Spirit of God hovers on the water" (Gen.1:2). Whatsoever you've long seen which once gave you joy but which is not again is coming back and to stay today. It is today not tomorrow. It is now not later. I declare, see your signs again. Let angels begin to make visitation to your room again. Let the windows of heaven be opened and let the miraculous in provision and providence begin to happen to you again. Wherever goodness and mercy have been on vacation in your life, I say receive their visitation again today. See your signs and by them be prospered.

PRAYER: Lord, I see my signs again. The miraculous shall not cease and be on hold in my life.
