BANNER WORD FOR 2024

 Brethren,

We thank you for following us still. God has spoken good of us and we thank you for believing in us - as to have gone in and out with us this year.

Having been looking unto God for a period, God has concluded to have us work and walk under the banner theme, "RISEN & UPRIGHT".

Psalm 20:7-8 says,

"7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. 8 They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright."

When a thousand and ten thousand are fallen both at your left and right hand sides, your own testimony will be to RISE and STAND UPRIGHT.

In this New Year, ours is A GREAT RISING! Nothing will be able to press or bow us down. Even depression won't be able to get that done. Internally in our minds and in our physical, spiritual, marital, financial lives, we shall RISE and STAND UPRIGHT.

The only thing that's permitted for us in this New Year is to RISE and then maintain our RISING.

"Stand upright" that comes after that "rise" means to still be standing after rising. You'll not only stand after rising, you'll endure in rising, power and that good state.

Nothing shall knock you off or back to a depressed or bowed or bent over state. You will RISE in power and keep your rising by STANDING UPRIGHT still. Let travellers to the end of the world go and return, they'll still meet you standing upright.

Even in war, famine or difficult situations, nothing will change this position of RISING and STANDING UPRIGHT. You'll still be standing upright. Let the whole world come against you, you'll still be found standing upright. You'll not be fallen or trodden under foot by anything in 2024.

This is your position. You have overcome the world; you have triumphed; you have RISEN and shall maintain your RISING by STANDING and being UPRIGHT still.

No shaking except what you shake that shakes!

Say, "I am RISEN, I STAND & I am UPRIGHT."

HAPPY NEW YEAR in advance. Welcome to the New World and a New Beginning!

Your brother,

Olusola ADEJUMO,

THE BIRTHRIGHT - The Abomination of a Husband Series 002

Genesis 25:30, KJV

"30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom. 31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright."

There's only one thing that contest is currently over. It is your birthright or let's simply say right. What is the "birthright?" If English is still English, then it is easy decoding. Birthright is made up of two separate words. They are "birth" + "right." So, it is rightly interpreted as all the rights that your being born avails you. The privileges you enjoy occasioned by your birth is what is called birthright. Birthright is also something owed since birth, due to inheritance. That is what Jacob's eyes was on. He wanted it though he was not the first born and when the opportunity to attempt having it presented itself, he explored it. That's why I said, "your birthright is what contest is over." That's what Satan wants you to forfeit. He wants you to forfeit the blessings and special privileges God created or allocated to you. The birthright are all privileges that anyone enjoys as a result of their birth by a person or into a family. They are occasioned just only by birth. In that manner, there are blessings God has occasioned to follow you. They are a sort of birthright. Contest will always be on them but you must refuse to lose or give them away.

In explaining the birthright which a first born enjoys, you'll need to see this. When Joseph hosts his brothers, they sit according to their birthright.

Genesis 43:33, KJV

"And they sat before him, the firstborn according to his birthright, and the youngest according to his youth..."

This is one of the privileges a first born enjoys. It becomes obvious he's first and as such distinguished from others. This might have been practiced at Isaac's dining as well. Esau might have been ranked and sat closer to the father, Isaac than Jacob. In this way, Jacob might have felt inferior and so sensed the importance of the birthright. He might have seen from this that the birthright puts importance on a first born and makes him enjoy preeminence which others don't enjoy.

For this reason, Jacob made no other request other than, "sell me your birthright." Why the birthright? Who educated Jacob on what to ask for? Somebody of his age ought still act carefree. He shouldn't have acted differently from Herodias' daughter who didn't know what to ask until the mother (a more experienced person) tutored her (Matt. 14:8). So, what made Jacob know rightly what to ask for? It's the fact that Jacob has suffered not being the first born. He has been thrown into the frenzy of envy and has experienced how privileged Esau is over him. On this ground, he knows what to ask for. He therefore goes for the birthright. He didn't ask for the game Esau would bring. No! He goes for the most essential that makes him preferred, most important and exalted.

That's what contest is over. Protect anything that gives you your uniqueness. It may be a gift or a blessing that's attached to your life. In one thousand encounters, that's what Satan wants to steal and have you lose (John 10:10). Your birthright is shock full with many potentials and privileges. You can't afford to lose it or have another take your office, position which naturally brings the graces, anointing and manifestation needed for your greatness. When Satan, strange ladies and sin is seeking after what is birthright to you, may you see this as the essence of your life that can't be forfeited.

PRAYER: Lord, give me understanding to see the importance of the outworking in me. May I not be duped or cheated out of any special gift or grace on me.

DON'T DESPISE YOUR BIRTHRIGHT - The Abomination of a Husband Series 001

Genesis 25:32-34, KJV

"32 And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? 33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. 34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright."

By nature and the order of things, we know that Esau is the first born while Jacob follows. They are twins but one came out before the other (Gen. 25:24-26). Therefore, without any hardwork or effort, Esau has preeminence and the blessing that goes with it because he's the first born. He's just at advantage for being the first born. His being the first born naturally puts a blessing and right on him and ought to make him better. If there's no privilege in being the first born indeed, Jacob's eyes and ask wouldn't have been on Esau selling what naturally gives him preeminence over him to him. Jacob is therefore a commonsensical fellow who for awhile might have watched and seen in the life of Esau how he had been enjoying the preeminence and invisible blessings of being the first born. He might have envied the respect his brother enjoys even from outsiders who marks him as the first born of the two twins. Whatsoever it may be, Jacob saw something he wanted to have for himself. He might have envied this for a time before the opportunity to ask for it eventually presented itself.

We all know the story. Esau went hunting and returns home famished. He requests to be fed of the pottage of his brother, Jacob. However, Jacob turned the table and made a business deal out of it. Out of much hunger and the unfortunate inability to exercise discipline or delay gratification, Esau sells his birthright to have a moment of relief, enjoyment or sensation with food. When this was done and sealed with an oath, the Bible says, "thus, Esau despised his birthright." The Bible didn't comment on any transaction having been done until it was done, sealed and transferred. That was when the Bible then laments for Esau for treating with levity what has so much potency to make him the head over his brother and cause him to multiply.

It means, "having done this, Esau let go of what makes him the first born." Letting go of what makes him first born therefore includes transferring all the blessings and statuses that accompany being the first born also. He lost all together. It is he who is the first born heaven will honour with headship and the blessings of the first born so as to give bread to others. Therefore after this business deal, every vitality, grace and glory of the first born were immediately sold away to Jacob.

In like manner, transactions are still happening day in day out. I want to go to the home setting. Yesterday on our ministry platform, I sent a quote that says, "there are Esau husbands. They are those who have exchanged responsibility with convenience." If you're a man in a typical home setting, you're like Esau who has the birthright naturally conferred on him by God due to your gender and roles and could enjoy what the privileges of the birthright offer as well if you operate it. For instance, what is your birthright as a husband in the house? Because of your natural and God given position of being the husband, you lead, exercise governance, instruct and have oversee over the workings of your entire family. That's what your birthright naturally blesses you with. You may not regard it as blessings but see it as outright responsibilities and sacrifices until it's your wife doing them and exercising authority over you. That had be strange and ought to be corrected immediately. God has not created a wife in the home setting to exercise authority over her husband. If she's not a witch or lover of control, she should be ashamed of herself wanting to subdue or control her own husband. If there's any woman doing that at the home front, I'll say witchcraft is very very attractive to you. Your matron spirit should never seek to control or subdue your husband. Let it watch and oversee your children. So, the moment a man begins to ignore his responsibilities as a type of a first born or shirk them away to his wife is the day he has voluntarily and by consent signed off his birthright and position of being husband and the head. If it's your wife paying the bills or doing much of it and you're comfortable with it, that means you are an Esau husband. You have exchanged responsibility for convenience. You may think you're blessed having a wife who does everything for you and even puts food on your table but that responsibility she's doing (which ought to be yours) will invariably make her the husband and slide you to the status of the wife. As such, since she's the one acting the man, God won't be unjust not to allow her have the blessings that should have followed you. This is how men especially in the home setting sells their natural God given position or birthright to her who it is not from the beginning.

Yesterday, I made another statement to our ministry members. I told them in a quote that, "when you become responsible, you'll know how much it costs". No matter how undetailed any man may be reading this, if you're the one who pays the family bills, you'll one way or the other know how much it costs. Children are the only ones who don't know how much what they're enjoying costs. They only await the parents to make provision and provide them with life's necessities without knowing the pain, cost and sacrifice that goes into making such available. Let me tell you. If the burden of your family responsibility falls on your wife and she's the one who only knows the pain and sacrifice of what it costs meeting the family's needs, then God won't be unjust not to allow her have headship and more prosperity in what she does. You'll just observe that you're being relegated and you're going down. She'll overshadow you and that won't be because God plans it that way but because you sold out your birthright to her under convenience the day you said she should put more down for the family's needs.

That ain't her call. It is yours. Many conspiracies of life might have naturally backslided you and positioned her at an advantage for that but you should not consent to selling your birthright away. You also should give your 100%. You can pursue, overtake and recover. When you do, you'll see that it becomes easy exercising authority at the home front. You'll have her respect and submission. Your reputation won't have been damaged as you're well seated as the first born who has the blessings the birthright confers.

The birthright is a great  privilege on your life. As you exercise yourself for your family even as a man of little estate, the blessing of the birthright will enlarge you. It'll become, "he who waters must be watered". This way, you'll forever have inorder to abound in good work towards your family. I pray for you, may your scepter of leadership and headship not break. Today, may you see that he who has the birthright has the blessings. On that note,  seek to protect with your fibre the natural headship God has given you. It demands responsibilities of you but it in turns brings many blessings and advantages. It is what makes you the doer and the giver and that's what makes you to be the one being blessed in return.

PRAYER: Lord, heal my head. I'm sorry for absconding and jettisoning my duties to my wife. I'm ready for responsibilities as demanded by my position as the front man in the home. In return, I receive the blessings.

A NOVEL THING!

Read Exo. 16:1-16

Exodus 16:15, KJV

"And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat."

As the children of Israel take their journey from Egypt to Canaan, they meet many obstacles which the Lord helps them to beat. One of such is the Red Sea that was parted and the drowning of Pharaoh's army for their sake.

Meanwhile, as they journey into the wilderness, they begin to crave for the food which they had available and ate to their fill in Egypt. They were brought into this remembrance because they have become hungry and long for satiation. However, they communicated to God by murmuring and grumbling. This is not the right attitude that any Christian should cultivate when in need. God has a listening ears and we should "in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let our requests be made known unto God (Philippians 4:6). All the same, the Lord heard them and promised to give them both flesh and bread. These are the two things they were availed to the full in Egypt. In their murmuring, they had said this.

Exodus 16:3, KJV

"And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger."

It is this need that made God speak through Moses, His prophet on the provision of meat for them in the evening and bread for them in the morning. God is committed to our being continually loaded with benefits. He does more all together for us than any government of a country can do for her own people. Egypt has a good welfare system. The Israelites though were slaves testified of this. They ate to their fill but God has a better welfare package for them. He eventually brought them quails by the East Wind. This is meat that they didn't work for, rear or have to hunt. God just used nature to bring it en masse to their camp. I don't know the country that drops food at the door steps of her every citizen but God did that for Israel. He gave them meat that they don't know where it came from and He gave them enough of it. Except they don't want to eat in the quantity they wanted, meat is always available.

With the quails brought by the wind was the heavenly bread God gave them. God had promised to give them bread also and Moses had reported this to the congregation of Israel. However, when the bread came, the congregation couldn't detect or discover it as the promised bread. Why? They haven't seen the like of it before. It was a novel thing. A new thing they are seeing in their lives put together. Nobody has ever experienced any bread being that way before. Not knowing what to call this newly delivered bread, they therefore congregationally call it "manna". Manna means, "what is it?" It expresses something unknown that needs to be answered. However, their answer nears them as Moses explains to them what it is - being the bread God promised to give them. This is a new bread, the like that has never been turned out before. It is newly manufactured to meet need. It is a novel idea and concept. More importantly, it didn't originate from the earth nor made by any man's hands. It came from heaven (Psalm 105:40).

Exodus 16:13-15, KJV

"13 And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host. 14 And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground. 15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat."

Just like Moses served as the interpreter of the Israelites here, rightly dividing the truth to them, so also the Lord is sending me to tell you of a novel thing you shall see. It'll happen and you'll exclaim at what it is. It'll be manna unto you - all new but it'll be the Lord's doing. As we seek to draw open the curtain of 2024, you shall exclaim and say, "what is this?" But rightly, you shall receive remembrance on such delivery been what you had prayed for. You may not see it as what you've prayed for but rightly dividing the wheat from the shaft by a more experienced person will open to you your novel thing. This will make you accept and welcome this heavenly blessing or else it might scare you away with its strangeness.

I pray for you, manna will fall on your ground. New inventions that are not earthly shall be experimented on your ground and in your life. You'll get out of your house or into the open, see that wonder and ask, "what is it?"

PRAYER: Lord, any promise for this year that's still hanging should begin to drop in Jesus name. I receive new things that'll lead to enquiring what they are.

A STATEMENT THAT CONTRADICTS FAITH

Read Luke 12:16 - 21

Luke 12:18-19, KJV

"18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry."

This statement above is one that kills daily faith living. You may not see it so until it is divided. The ground of this man brought forth plentifully and contemplating where he'll put the proceeds, he decides on pulling down his older barns to building more roomy ones. Looking at his harvest and how much would be stored, he then speaks to his soul. He tells himself to keep calm, take his ease because he has much food for many years laid up for consumption. It isn't long when God requires his life from him and that's because he didn't acknowledge God at all in his thought. He was only driven by selfishness and eventually driven to death by it.

However, that statement of, "and I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry" shows from the time that statement was made that this man would stop trusting God for provision that immediately. I once said why we pray to God is because we keep having needs to be met. The day you become independent of God and not send requests to Him again or seek His help is the day you should be believed to have everything in this life. And once you have everything already, you become independent of anyone who can give it to you. You therefore become self contained! It is that same shoe this man found himself. He has abundance that can cater for many years' needs. Looking at his store house or treasure bank in his mind, he's of the opinion that he doesn't need to trouble himself any longer. He has what it takes to live for many years. Such man with such thought can't trust God to supply his daily bread again. Why? He knows he has the bread in reserve already. He's not looking for it any longer. Rather, he can approach his store house, collect as much food as needed and do with it as desired. Such kind of provision, comfort and convenient life therefore kills faith and its exercise. How many of you are there right now trusting God for money, provision or solution to one health problem or the other? Do you know why your focus is on God even if you have to go to the hospital? It's basically because you do not have that provision on ground or settled. If you're assured of money for life, you can misbehave. That's when you won't even take work seriously again. You'll advise yourself to ease up like this rich fool. The truth is this. What you know you have, you can't look for and what you don't look for immediately excommunicates you from praying or exercising faith to having it. We know that it's from God all good gift and perfect gift come from (James 1:17). Like this man, he has it on ground. What he would eat in years to come has been prepared for and made ready. He's not in deception of that reality. He knows where the corn is and he knows it really can cater for many years. This is what assures his mind. This is what takes his quest off God from whom all resources and provision comes from. Rather, he's assuring himself - his soul to take his ease because his own very hands has made provision available for him to dine and merry with.

I bet it with you, such man can't exercise faith anylonger. Why? He has nothing he's looking for again. Though he has all, he didn't yield them up or give it up to God.  But all his needs are met. Did you not hear him speak? He began assuring himself of no work or stressful work anylonger. To him, he's going into retirement immediately. Why would he do that? Because of the harvest he sure knows can last him for years and cater for his needs.

Some of us are praying or are forced to pray and trust Him for provision because we don't know where it'll come from. We at times find ourselves at tight corners where we believe that if God does not respond and come through for us, then shame and embarrassment is imminent. On that note, we keep exercising faith and believing for the salvation that comes only from God. However, let me ask you, "if you have everything you need like this man, what will become of your fellowship with God? Will you keep trusting Him at all for your daily bread? Will you even allow Him administer that abundant harvest of yours as He wanted? Can you give your treasure box to God and start all over again? Will you allow Him help you build faith in Him?

When God told the rich young ruler to go and sell all he has and follow him, this is what Jesus was seeking to help him achieve (Luke 18:18-23). Jesus doesn't want his faith, confidence or strength to come from what he has or has kept in the banks. Rather, Jesus wants to help him learn, build faith and live the faith life by helping him to trust and ask for his daily bread daily. It takes faith to live such life. A life that awaits his daily provision daily from God is a faith life. It doesn't mean that fellow doesn't have a savings. However, his trust is not in it neither does his sustenance fostered on it. That life is different from He who has it all, knows where it is and can fetch himself whatsoever he needs when he needs it every time without ever asking God for help.

Brethren, when your business brings forth abundantly, when prosperity comes your way as such that can cater for you till death, will you remove God from your thinking? Will you become your own carer and take God out of the picture or you'll continue to lean and wait on Him for the daily allocation that comes from Him? May you not deceive your heart - yourself to take his calm because of the treasure laid up when all sustainance, life and being comes and is given by God.

PRAYER: Lord, keep me from the deception of reliance and sustenance on myself. Teach me the faith life and how to live it.

MORNING WINGS DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE - Olusola ADEJUMO

BE READY FOR YOUR ANGEL

Luke 1:26, KJV

"26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary."

I know you're burdened. I know you're in anticipation of when it'll be and whether you'll just pass the earth like that without manifesting sonship. That's a good burden. It is what makes any man responsible and live within the confines of the requirements of his calling or destiny lest he desecrates himself.

For those of you with destiny pangs inside you seeking expression, one question God is asking you today is if you'll be ready and in the right condition at His appearance to call you hither for use.

The angel Gabriel was sent to a city of Galilee called Nazareth at a very specific time. We don't have any documentation that Mary had been expecting him or any divine visitation but Mary is obviously somebody who lives holily enough to have the will of God done in her life anytime God wills or arrives. Your time will come also. Mary's happened at the sixth month. Your time is in God's hands and He shall kick-start your entering into manifestation and manifesting at the time appointed only by Him. However, what condition should you be met when the assignment that eternity has thought wise to use you for is eventually lowered unto you? Your condition must be that of a ready soldier who has not entangled himself with any civilian matters. When that angel was sent, the Bible made it notable that he was sent to a VIRGIN espoused to Joseph of the House of David. You see, Mary is a virgin and that's one of the requirements for the Messiah to be born apart from the power of the Holy Ghost that will overshadow her (Luke 1:35). She must be a virgin according to the prophecy that bear witness (Isa. 7:4).

Now imagine the angel arriving and Mary not being in the condition of a virgin. Mary would have been knocked out of that purpose first of all and then out of the lineage of Christ. God is watching His Word to perform them. None of His Word will go unfulfilled. Because all shall be fulfilled, you can then trust that it shall one day be unto you according to what God has said to you one time or the other. However, God will visit you for use. When He comes, may He not meet you in shambles, disarray, drunkenness of sin, lust and love of the world and in the act of contradicting the very essence and purity of your calling.

Mary's own call requires her to be a virgin. She must ever be in that state until she gives birth to Christ. That's why Angel Gabriel didn't make a mistake of visiting any who isn't a virgin. God knows us and sees us. He sees our preparedness and He knows if we are usable. Your responsibility is to be in the condition of life where God does not bypass you for divine assignment. Though it was said a virgin shall conceive and brought forth the Saviour yet we know that no woman's name was specifically mentioned or attached to that prophecy. However, it found a virgin amidst many to latch unto. The first qualification is that Mary was a virgin. That was not compromised. She was prepared still. God might have considered some other things because Angel Gabriel revealed that in his greeting to Mary when she says, "thou that art highly favoured among women".

Luke 1:28, KJV

"And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women."

Being highly favoured among women talks of being chosen above others. This might have made Mary agree to the proposal of Joseph and so was brought into Christ's lineage. If Mary had never been first espoused to Joseph or let's say someone in the lineage of Christ (of the House of David), God wouldn't have come to her at all. So, she's favoured being chosen above others. Where others despised Joseph, she might have received a nudge to go with him. This is what makes the difference at day's end. She might also have been highly favoured because amidst the few virgins that might have married into the House of David at that time, it was her God found attracted to to birth the Messiah.

However, what I'm saying is this. Don't neglect your consecration because it is the very basis of your usability. It's the beginning of God's attraction to you. God is attracted to those who are given - given to Him somewhere. You'll be fought to lose your virginity (consecration) but if you'll hold on, you'll see God come around to tender to you a proposal on an assignment.

In being ready and qualified, ensure you're not like Peter who still harbour prejudice in himself against the Gentiles and wouldn't rise, kill and eat (Acts.10:13-14). That singular problem proved him unprepared and it hindered him from exploring the new world and fulfilling an assignment that became credited to Paul. Ensure you're ready. Ensure you have nothing in you that can discredit, slight or throw you out of the challenge. If you're no longer found a virgin, even if 100 virgins are called, you can't be amidst them let alone make it into the list of God's choice. The foundation of the Lord on this matter stands sure! You must be a virgin in consecration! That in place, be ready for your angel.

PRAYER: Lord, I will not lose my virginity (consecration) even in this festive periods. I hold unto your promises until Your arrival.

SEPARATED FROM HIS BROTHERS - Gone To Prepare A Place Series 008

Genesis 49:26, KJV

"The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren".

That place says, "blessings shall be on the head of Joseph who was separated from his brethren." What does this idea of separation seek to achieve? Why would the Lord come for Joseph? Why would the Lord forcefully collect and harvest him away just at seventeen? Why would the Lord put him in a boarding facility far from home? When Joseph was collected away, he was like a baby collected from his mother's breasts and like one unripely or recently weaned. If you had asked Joseph's opinion if he'll like to be separated from his brothers and family, he wouldn't have nodded to it. No! He wouldn't have agreed to leaving the comfort of his father's house. He would have refused going to an unknown land and hearing constantly an unknown language. If you had enquired and given Joseph a choice, he wouldn't have wanted to travel abroad (Egypt). Never!

However, God separated him from his brothers. The Bible says Joseph was seventeen years old and he shepherds the flock with the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah (Gen.37:2). These are his brethren - his family. However, something happened that disappeared Joseph away from them. My question is, "why would Joseph be taken amidst many? Why would he be separated from his brothers?"

People, it's an observation well made that anyone with call on his or head always faces being called out or separated from something or familiar people. There's always a forsaking of houses, family and precious things. It may not be delightful but this separation will delight at latter end. Joseph was separated to the end that he might be sent ahead and become a saviour of his people that he might preserve them a remnant when the need that God had foreseen arises. So, when God separated Joseph because of the call on his head, His intention is that He'll run ahead of others and by special favour of God and cooperation of him also become somebody that can open the land to his people. He did when through him his people possessed Goshen.

I want you to know that God works from our future into our present. Your tomorrow that He knows and that He has seen is what informs what He does in your life presently. Why you're passing through certain things now is because of the conclusion God wants you to have. If God didn't come to collect and send Joseph ahead of his people, Joseph would not be different from them and he wouldn't have been able to achieve his calling. The resources for achieving his calling isn't in Canaan or elsewhere but in Egypt. Apart from this, Joseph wouldn't be in a place where he could use his influence to save his people. He couldn't have become a mighty leader in his father's house. His brothers and the ranks into which he was born already contested that when he shared his dreams with them. So, he needed to travel! Because of this, God flings him elsewhere and separated him from his brothers.

Are you there this morning in a solitary land, solitary place or all alone in your mind (even while with family)? Do you think differently, have separate, new and noble ideas? Are you wondering why you've always had things differently from your siblings? Are you wondering why your experiences differ from theirs; why you're the most favoured, accelerated or beloved? Did you ever reason why you got born again and knows Christ even before they did or why you're the only one amidst them all? All these differences are God's act of revealing that there's a call on you. Mark any one or any child who has it specially different from others, that child might as well secure the throne one day. Joseph was separated from his brothers! The question should be, "to what end if not to save them alive (Gen.45:7)?" Some of you reading this have been to schools and have had education your siblings or family are not opened to. I ask, "to what end?" Did God just give you these special privileges to be pronounced blessed or is it a way of accelerating you and seeking to use you to salvage and save many alive (your very family) even economically and in other ways. Today, think about God's benefits to you; think of how He has saved you alive from inevitable and unexplainable deaths that killed others and you'll probably begin to see why you were separated from many and their experiences. There's no one who's separated unto a peculiar path, life, experience or process that God doesn't plan for or has a definite destiny for. That's who you are!

PRAYER: Lord, let me manifest all the reasons for my separation in life.

AND LET DOWN YOUR NETS FOR A CATCH - Gone To Prepare A Place Series 007

Luke 5:4, KJV

"Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught".

If there's any advice God is giving people at this time, it's to desist from "assaying to do like someone" when they don't have his instruction. The Bible writes this truth plainly this way.

Hebrews 11:29, KJV

"By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned."

Mark, "which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned". There are those who are letting down their nets for a catch yet didn't hear a voice commanding them to launch into the deep initially. God is saying, "this is express danger and mere comparing of oneself with another. It is mere envying of someone's result without being the one the instruction that would produce it was given to".

Jesus told Peter, "launch out into the deep..." and then "let down your nets for a catch". One instruction precedes the other. To launch out can't be divorced from letting down the nets for a catch. Meanwhile, those who have not heard, "launch out" are coveting having the harvest of Peter. They've not been obedient and willing yet they want to eat the good of the land. What does this make you if not a mocker of yourself?

The Egyptians trying to walk the dry ground like the Israelites all perished. Why? Did God speak to Pharaoh to pass the sea as dry ground? No! He only did, "follow, follow". He only attempted to have the result of the Israelites he sees ahead making headway in the sea. Assaying to do so and be like them, he perished and all his army.

Being presumptuous is a deadly hook and mistake. You can't be presumptuous and build your life on, "assaying to do so" in 2024. You'll capsize and collapse. Don't assay to do so when you have not been commanded. It's possible to observe the body of someone carrying out an instruction without knowing who originates it or instructed it to him. You may follow him but you may not have his result. That'll be because you're not the man specifically given that instruction to take. Don't copy people erratically. Don't step out if you're not called. Don't check out if it does not become your revelation. Those who do contrary shouldn't put their minds to any reward.

When the Bible says, "and let down your nets for a catch", it means, "and get ready for a harvest". The only testimony people covet is having the harvest. They don't want to walk the road of Peter. They don't want to be called (chosen) and if called, they don't want to thrust a little from the land. They want to stay at the shore yet expecting that they'll have the end of Peter. This is a lie. He who doesn't observe the first law shouldn't shovel to observe the second. Those who in all conscience can let down their nets for a catch are those who have heard a voice telling them initially to launch out. Therefore, I say unto you not to mimick anyone blindly whose instruction you do not have. 2024 will weed the chaff from the wheat and it's no time to "assaying" when you're not sure. You have to be sure. You must be the spoken to before you cross. Never do anything that doesn't come from a leading or guidance from God. That's because the many shaking and sorrow of hearts that could follow your "assaying to do so" would have been sieved by God for you by hinting you what and what not to attempt.

If you've obeyed till now, if you've followed God till now, if you've lent yourself to a particular cause till now, then you're the one who owns the instruction, "...and let down your nets for a catch". December is harvest time and season for those who have walked the way or process faithfully. Now, you can hope to let down your nets for a catch! You won't be like a man awaiting to reap where he has not sown. For you, a return of your obedience, faithfulness and promptness is what you'll be reaping.

PRAYER: Father, let my harvest come. Reward my obedience, faithfulness and promptness. I've let down my nets for a catch, may I not be disappointed.

IF YOU'LL THRUST OUT A LITTLE FROM THE LAND - Gone To Prepare A Place Series 006

Luke 5:3-4, KJV

"3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. 4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught."

If you'll thrust out a little, if you'll take a leap of faith; if you'll follow the star that has appeared to you and heed the calling beckoning on you to come and follow, you'll see good days and eat the good of the land.

Just like I've been saying, only at release can you see the greatness that will be consequential upon your obedience. On two occasions did Peter receive commands to "loose from where he is." The first was when Jesus needed his boat to preach. Jesus told him "to thrust out a little from the land". While emphasis, much emphasis has been laid on the, "launching into the deep of Peter" (which was the second statement by which he proceeded further), yet it is the first command that actually began the process that led to the blessing and greatness Peter eventually experienced.

Are you there? Are there people there who have toiled all night and caught nothing out of life and its weary labour? What I'm hearing concerning you is that, "this is a new season. A change has been caused. If you'll trust God and thrust out your boat a little from the land", you'll begin to get ready for a harvest of great things.

"To thrust out a little from the land" and into the water here means to launch out into your calling. Many there be who are thinking of great reward and are believing for it. However, it can only happen in your calling and what you are commissioned for.

This brings us to the second command of Jesus to Peter. After Jesus had done preaching with the boat pulpit Peter afforded Him, Jesus wouldn't want him to go empty handed without reward. First, Peter had a call on his life and boat. Don't forget that out of the two boats Jesus saw, it was Peter's boat He chose and entered into. That is calling in action. It is calling that makes choice of whose life or boat to use. Jesus used Peter's boat to dish out the Word of life. I can't say less that Peter has lent himself and his boat as yielded vessels to God.

But after that, shouldn't Peter reap for having heeded the call, "the call of stepping out with Jesus; the call of thrusting out a little from the land" into what Jesus would do and which He did that day? Peter should.

It is this that brings the second command. Though Peter confessed of having caught nothing but having rather toiled all night long, yet Jesus commands him to now, "launch into the deep and let his nets down for a catch".

You can trust God to let your nets down for a catch after stepping out, releasing and seeding yourself for God's use. There's no one God takes out or launches out that He only uses to discard or send away empty handed. No! He rewards and glorifies them - His ministers.

At Jesus' Word Peter reiterates that he'll obey. Upon that obedience comes the harvest of plentiful reaping that break the nets and sink the boats.

Today, I want you to be assured that if you'll step out and thrust out a little from the land, a little away from your faithlessness into operational faith and calling, you'll see the wonder of the Lord. One thing awaits you and that's to have the end of Peter - where you'll be compensated for your obedience of stepping out and believing in God. God is still calling men to thrust out a little from the land. He's still telling people to leave their homes and lands. He's still telling people to loose from where they've known to where He'll show them. He told Abraham to leave Ur of the Chaldeans to the land He shall show him. It's still the same. God's intention made Abraham the father of nations. Look at what the obedience of Peter and lending of himself and boat to Jesus also avails him. Great blessings! Will you heed or shut yourself off? Will you thrust out a little from ungodliness into righteousness and let the Lord your God anoint you with the oil of gladness and even excellence above your fellows? What are the things you must loose (detach) from in order to gain what's in front. For Peter, he thrusted a little away from the land. For Abraham, from his native land (Gen.12:1-2). Even for Paul, he says in Philippians 3:8, "yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ".

You need to lose something to gain something. But if you won't overprotect yourself, you'll see God's wonder at day's end.

PRAYER: Lord, I seed myself away. I receive an obedient heart that takes you by Your word. My toil ends; I have the harvest.

WHAT YOU SEED; YOU'LL REGAIN - Gone To Prepare A Place Series 005

John 14:1-3, KJV

"1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

Of these verses above, I want you to read the last verse again. It says, "and if I go and prepare a place for you; I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, ye also may be".

Yesterday, I spoke on seeding or sowing yourself. This seeding or sowing yourself however applies to giving oneself away to calling or a definite way of life. When you release yourself to go, you will fall down and die like a grain of seed but in your germinating back, many things to be grateful for will germinate through you. And indeed, all of us knows that a grain of seed at germination will bring forth abundantly more than the piece that was given away. This is the very reason why we must not withhold but give ourselves away.

If you read those three verses, you'll see that the second talks about Jesus' departure and going away. That signifies His seeding Himself and giving Himself away to the cause of going to prepare a place for us. However, verse three assures that we shall one day have Him back. Jesus has gone and is still with the Father but it is guaranteed that He'll come back to take us to where He is (at rapture). And that place is no ordinary place. It's a prepared place. A furnished place. Properties that are designed and ready for our taking awaits us. These are the profits of Jesus ever seeding Himself or losing from His disciples to the Father. Not going wouldn't have guaranteed all those things He promised.

Do you want to see the better life? Do you want to see some returns in life? Never be one who can't separate, seed yourself away and give yourself to a cause. Seed yourself. Jesus while speaking somewhere says, "he who seeks to save His life shall lose it and he who seeks to lose his life shall preserve it" (Luke 17:33). That's actually the truth. When you let go; when you give away, you're positioning yourself to reaping the dividends of that giving away. But if you'll protectively cover yourself and not aspire or give yourself away to a cause, calling or a chosen life that's calling you innately and intimately, you'll lose your life eventually. You'll gain nothing from your own life and that'll be because when you had the chance of seeding your life away and concentrating it on a specific and chosen life or vocation, you refrained. Whenever you refrain, that's a withholding from seeing the glory that's to burst forth after. No one knows the power of the hereafter in your going away except those who first seed themselves. Many people who gave themselves to a cause while feeling called to it eventually confessed they didn't know they'll be this blessed on such road. They indeed and in reality saw a great day and even entered into their perfect day eventually. They saw the many returns of having done so. If you'll ever regain yourself or have yourself back, you have to let lose of yourself now. You have to decidedly give yourself away to a decided life unto which you feel called so you can bring forth abundantly in the future. Those whose theirs will be the "kingdom, glory and power" are those who ultimately does not reserve themselves but give themselves away to serve calling and humanity somewhere.

Moses' mother couldn't have predicted what would follow letting Moses go and casting him on the waters. When she did however, she saw the mightiness of God. She seeded Moses away by casting him upon the waters with all hope on God and in a manner not different from that of Abraham giving Isaac away. However, she received Moses back in a figure.

Ask yourself, "am I ready to lose myself? Am I ready to give myself away? Do I have faith tangible enough for such decidedly action? If you do, you'll see the glory of the Lord. Every miracle of a man starts from, "thrusting out a little from the land". Thank God Peter did. From there he yet receives, "launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch". Just from thrusting out, just from launching into the deep, just by your giving yourself to a decided action (which is calling for us), you'll see what testimonies and blessings would follow your doing so. If because Peter heeded, his nets break and the boats sink, guess what'll happen to you if you stop bantering with God but rather thrust out a little into your calling (Luke 5:6-7). I see you. You're in for a miracle and the emptying of the sea into your boat.

PRAYER: Lord, give me the courage and understanding to lose myself. Jesus went away (lost Himself) to benefit preparing a place for us and then returning to take us to Himself. Show me the glory of the hereafter attached to my seeding myself away.

SEED THAT LIFE NOW! - Gone To Prepare A Place Series 004

God is saying, "seed that life now!" Release it now. Let it go now. Let it heed the purpose for which it is raised and spared now. It is now and not any other time. Let it go on the path ordained for it. Thank God Moses' mother seeded and released him to the waters. There, she saw the glory of God when she least expected for God sent a rescuer and an adopter.

The human life is the greatest thing on earth that could be seeded. You can seed the human life. You can give it away. You can count it not precious to you but rather sow it like a seed of corn that's fallen to the ground. You can count your life nothing, of no good, worth and consequence to heed purpose and the call of destiny. It means not being too overprotective of one's life as to release it. When you despise the shame and endure the cross before you in fulfilling your mandate, you'll be seeding or sowing your life. You'll be giving yourself away.

What God is communicating is this. Never hinder anyone you have oversight over or that you can influence not to seed or sow their lives to purpose and calling on earth. Rather, loose them and let them run on that course and go on that journey.

Parents, seed your children. Children, seed yourselves and you shall find and receive yourself back in days to come. The appealing scripture coming to me is this.

Ecclesiastes 11:1, KJV

"Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days."

Human being is the greatest 'bread, treasure, asset' that can be casted upon the waters or given away to a cause. I tell you, the reward of that giving away and concentration on what your hand has found to do will be seen and obvious to all to see in days to come. A place speaks like this, "...give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all" (I Timothy 4:15, KJV).  You don't give diligence where you've not been seeded or sown. It's the field or cause of life you've found that you can exercise yourself for and give your all to. It's however in such and in that process of constant giving away after the first giving away (of going to operate that calling) that you'll begin to see the profit of that giving away. It'll be so obvious that people will say, "see him, now he profits from that thing." However, you have to continue in it and do it to a particular height. As you give diligence like Elisha who keeps following Elijah, sooner or later, some people will see afar off and speak of your profiting saying, "Elijah's spirit now rests upon Elisha" (II Kings 2:15).

But first of all, you have to seed your own life away. No one can mandatorily decide your success for you except yourself. Once you're ready to seed your life away and fall down like a piece of grain, you'll see that you'll eventually bring forth plenty and benefit not only yourself but many that must come to the rising of your light (discovery of purpose and fulfilling of same).

Jesus told His disciples to let Him go. He admonished them to believe in God and in Him as well. He told them He's going for their (our) sakes - to prepare a place for them. It means if places will ever be prepared for anyone; if any benefit or profit will ever be reaped from Jesus' seeding of Himself to go, then He must be released to go. He must be given away first of all. This same happened when He died for all. He gave Himself to gain many. He must be seeded and sown. It'll pain the disciples that He's separating from them but they must release Him sacrificially. It's at day's end the very reason for agreeing to His release would be seen. A seeded life is such that can bring forth abundantly. Others will be alone - not affecting or influencing any.

PRAYER: Lord, my life is a seed. It's not too precious to me. I offer it to my calling and it brings forth abundantly.

COMMITTED TO THE WATERS - Gone To Prepare A Place Series 003

Exodus 2:2-3, KJV

"2 And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months. 3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink."

Committed to the waters! Moses was committed to the waters. I said yesterday that as it concerns us, we must be full of discernment to recognize destiny journeys of people and then release them to run or go on such journey. The reason for the hitherto smallness of many people isn't because God didn't plan big time for them but because they're afraid of stepping out. Yet, if any man fears or withholds from stepping out, he cannot see his perfect day. When you're released to run and go the way of destiny, you not only profit yourself but all that may be attached to you shall profit from same.

Today is another day Wing men and women. God is about to wing His truth and enlightenment to us again. As I teach this gospel on destiny, purpose, calling and finding oneself to people and nations, I see God following it with many signs and wonders in the lives of people. May I say you're next. I see a staircase being let down to bear you up. You'll go all the way and none shall cut you short.

Still on this series. I want to emphasize the fact that Moses was released to go. The mother was reluctant. She had her reasons, her fears. All the same however, when she couldn't hide baby Moses again, she let him run. May fate and life not conspire against you so that you don't fulfill your destiny. God has a purpose and in line assignment for Moses. God has planned where He'll be raised and who will be his sponsors. However, the biological mother is not letting him go. Moses is just too close to her heart. The Bible says she wouldn't let go of Moses because "he's a goodly, beautiful, unique, gifted child". Something in this boy is too precious to be lost. So, she grimmed at protecting him. But hitherto could she go. She has hidden Moses for three months but now she can go no further.

Here, she must call it quit. Here, she must give up. Here, she must let Moses go and run what line of things God has prepared for him. As far as God is concerned, He's waiting to collect Moses at the Nile but first of all, Moses must be let go. Moses must be released as a seed. Until then, the next phase, next level, immediate plan cannot kick start. You'll just hope that things happen but they will never unfold. Why? You have refused to trust God. You have refused to let go of the past, murder it and journey into your future. Yet, your future is filled with glory and is like a treasure house that has never been looted.

At last, Moses' mother takes courage and commits Moses to water. She has the courage to let go when she devises to do her best by making an ark of bulrushes for baby Moses. However, as she does that and as she places baby Moses by the Nile amidst the reeds, one thing she did was to cry to Yahweh that He'll protect this one at his new placement and on his new journey. It is not written in the Bible in blacks that she prayed as she was leaving the basket by the Nile but I sure know she does. No mother would depart that day from such little boy without much weeping and prayer.

Did the Bible not say however, "when my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up" (Psalms 27:10). Yes, Moses' mother didn't want to leave him. She did out of fear of the king and love for Moses' life. However, we can call it a kind of forsaken. After that forsaken and committing to the waters, what happens?

God picked Moses up. God adopted him and gave him new parents that no plan of Moses' parents could have anticipated. I told you that if you'll let go and launch out you'll see the glory and wonder of the Lord. If Moses' mother had never released Moses, she wouldn't have seen what God could do. For everyone on a journey, God is actually involved. At the next bus stop, He knows who to call or command for your sake. He knows what to awake or legislate through human government just for your sake. Moses' mother dropped Moses by/on the Nile. She didn't make the mistake of advertising for an adopted mother or parents. She only committed Moses to the waters (into God's hands). Then, God takes it up and find Moses a parent. I'm hearing, "the next wait is waiting for you".

Today, where you thought less of things working out for you, I say it'll work. Miracles will appear at you out of nowhere. Your next carer, adopter and parents will appear. Over the years, God has given me parents and adopters. People who took me under their wings to grow and become something. They even put their resources at my disposal believing that's a young man going somewhere to happen. Thank God I have not been a disappointment.

I still want to speak Jesus' word to someone. It says, "believe in God and believe in me also" (John 14:1). You only need to trust the process. You only need to trust God. You only need to commit into His hands. He'll take it over from there. He'll exceeded your imagination. You'll see a new day. Just commit. Just push a little into the waters and that'll be all.

PRAYER: Father, where I'm afraid to launch out into the waters (next level) in 2023, brave me up and let me launch at 2024. I refuse to withhold again.

RELEASE THEM TO GO! - Gone To Prepare A Place Series 002

John 14:1, KJV

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me."

Did you know Jesus' disciples didn't want Him to go back to heaven? Does that shock you? Yes, they don't want Him to go back. That's why Jesus says, "it's expedient that He leaves because until He does, the Comforter can't come to them" (John 16:4-7).

One way or the other, the disciples just want Jesus to still be with them. However, that won't be progress. That won't be forward thinking. If Jesus stays back, it is nothing but a manifestation of weakness and disobedience to God's will and plan. The disciples have their reasons for not wanting to let Him go - for sorrowing when He begins to prepare them for His departure but that reason is not as important as what shall take place hereafter.

There are different types of pain and if we'll ever grow in this life, we have to deliberately apply purposeful pain to our lives. Or else, we won't grow, move forward or attain greatness. You can't want to be a First Class student and not jettison pleasure to cutivate solitude for study. That is purposeful pain. You're intentionally denying or hurting yourself for a purpose to be fulfilled. It's a good pain every one must learn to apply. The disciples don't want to lose their relationship with Jesus. It's like that of a groom (husband) and the bride (wife). They have known each others for years, come a long way together for years, interacted, related and mingled for years. It wouldn't be easy especially for the wife if the husband were to be separated from her for awhile. I've seen families at the airport who doesn't want their dads to go. You could see yearnings in the hearts of the children. They just want daddy to stay back. Their prayer is even that things might not work out as planned so his going is terminated. The wife might even suggest, instead of going there, can't your company speak to them to fix the training for here without leaving for abroad. All these are emotional statements obviously of love, care, friendliness but which one must not allow to overcome him especially when it's time to take the next leap, have the next door opened and take the next opportunity God is availing one.

Jesus told His disciples, "let not your heart be troubled,  ye believe in God; believe also in me".

Why do you think He needed to assure them? Because they were sorrowing and unsettled for His imminent loss. That's why He's telling them to be comforted. As Jesus is concerned, He's about to take the next flight back to His Father - where we'll all join Him one day. But initially, the disciples didn't want Him to go. However, He made them see reasons why He had to go.

Now, let's come to you. Let's start from parents who are overprotective. A girl once won a scholarship but the dad refused to let her go abroad to study. The man was too fearful that she'd be lost. She wanted the girl to stay with him all through. The girl has enjoyed lovely companionship from him since the mum died and the man has promised in return to see to her well being and protect her as a testament to his deceased wife. It took the pastor to persuade her to let this girl go the second time she won another scholarship for gifted children. I could remember when I wanted to leave for campus, my mother was weeping and I was weeping as well. Before then, I had never been to any campus. I don't even know how life rolls there. I'm just assured I won't tresspass.

What I want to say is this. There's no one God has not destined greatness with. However, when the time comes for you to step into it, it's either you're willing or not. It's either you're released or not. It's either parents and sponsors allow emotional chords to tie you down and drive you back or like Moses' mother did to Moses, they'll launch you out on the Nile (into your unknown world) and let their blessing be with you. There as you are, God will take you up. Overprotectiveness will hinder many from not becoming anything. It isn't that God has not appropriated a rewarding future to them but they are just too comfortable with where they are or have been. They are afraid of the fear of the unknown and they don't want the little upset that will bring blessings.

Today, release them to go. Jesus went into glory. His going became our good - to prepare a place for us that where He has gone, we may be. Yours won't be different as a parent. A time is coming you'll rejoice you let your boy or girl take that step and go a particular way. You may be reluctant now but you'll look back at what He could not have become and what all of you tied to him or her could not have become if He had not gone. Imagine a future world sportsman that the father does not allow to train. Whose pride will that boy be when he begins to see him on TV? For this reason, let me speak the words of Jesus to those in this dilemma. "Don't let your heart be troubled. Believe in God and believe in the assured words of your wards, spouse or friends to behave and act accordingly so that you might see the reward of their taking that leap later. The deep is calling people to come. Will they heed or stay with the known, familiar and small?

PRAYER: Lord, give me discernment to detect destiny journeys of people. May I go to my glory.

THE CALLING ON FIRSTBORNS AND FORERUNNERS - Gone To Prepare A Place Series 001

John 14:1-3, KJV

"1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

These verses above is the calling of firstborns and all forerunners. Are you wondering how? Then, let's pick it today.

Jesus told His disciples to be settled at heart and not sorrow because of His soon ascension back to heaven. We all know that Jesus later ascended to heaven and He's currently seated at the right hand of God the Almighty (Acts 1:8-9, Acts 7:55-56, Rom. 8:34, Mark 14:62). However, while Jesus nears departure and the eventual separation from these disciples with who He has related and come a long way, He assures their hearts of no loss. He consoles them to believe in God (His Father and in Him, the sent Son). He gave reasons for that. He told them His departure is to an end - to go to prepare a place for them in heaven.

This is the mandate, calling and what should be the goal or heart desire of firstborns and forerunners. Their thinking, mindset and thirst should be to arrive, survive the land and prepare for others' arrival. Firstborns are a kind of apostle. They are sent forth to walk a road before many and open it up for others for easy walk. There are two types of thinking. Terminative Thinking and Generational Thinking. Terminative thinking is the one that makes a man reach his high place and forget those behind. Such man let his blessing stop with himself. He invites no one to come to where he is. He prepares or furnishes no room for anyone. He rather boasts of being the only favoured and blessed. However, Jesus thinks differently. His Father thinks differently as well. The thinking is that Jesus will arrive to prepare a place for these Apostles of the Lamb and to us all by extension. It's really a great thought when someone makes preparation for your coming. It shows love and the greatest concern in any heart.

However as Jesus departs, He encourages them not to feel lonely or manifest a sense of loss. You'll understand this better if you're from a family where one of you travels abroad amidst many siblings with many weepings and sorrowing of heart. Imagine that one now telling others not to sorrow but believe that his departure is to your greatest good and that his departure is to go and prepare a place for you abroad so that you can as well come to where he is (or going). Imagine that! Isn't that good thought? Isn't that thought of welfare, to give you a hope and a future?

Just like a Father wouldn't forlorn his kids or a mother forsakes them, Jesus speaks as He that understands human relationship. He speaks to tell them it's for their good. His going is to go prepare a place for them. So, that'll create an expectation in their hearts. It'll change their living. As they live, they'll have a heart that they'll one day be where He is or He has gone. So, they'll live ready in anticipation.

Firstborns and all forerunners, hear me today. Your being first isn't a mistake at all. You may or may not be first biologically; you may be last born but first because you're the most prospered man in your caste. In this way, you're the first born - the one God has sent ahead of others that He'll need you to provide for. No one rises alone. Your rising is the rising and breakthrough of some people and you should let it suffice that way. Don't waste grace, resources or God's investment. God will actually give you more than you need. He'll locate you amidst plenty resources and that won't be because He wants you to become a pool but rather a channel through which others can be prepared for. No wonder, Jesus speaks of the abundance and unlimitedness in His Father's house. He says, "in my Father's house are many mansions..." Many mansions means many properties. Each of us will have ours. Imagine you in your property or possession. Imagine you being a landlord!

Then Jesus says, "if it were not so, He would have told them". That means He was saying, "I am not lying. I am telling you the truth. There's abundance and green pastures where I'm going and my intention is to bring you there." Jesus says, "I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also". That's contextually referring to rapture anyway (Matt. 26:64).

This is no selfishness at all. He confesses His intention and goal which is to go and prepare a place for us so that we may be where He has gone. Many people don't have Jesus' mind at all. Where they are, they don't want other people to come there let alone get there. Heights, positions, offices and graces they have attained, they don't plan that others attain it. They'll prefer them wrecked, slain and destroyed. However, Jesus has good intention and plans for His disciples. He said, "you're not in darkness and you know where I'm going and that He'll come back to receive them all unto Himself that where He is, they (including we) may be also".

Brethren, the anointing is on me. I want to declare on people. Is there someone who's up there that you admire? I declare concerning you today that where they are, you will be. I pray that men shall remember you and call you to come up hither. One day, I was meditating on how people were moving. However, the Lord told me, "don't worry. Anyone who has gone ahead is sent before you - to call you hither and open doors to you". So, there can't be strife from me against them. I can only pray for them until my word comes from the Lord and I'm granted release and called to the palace. Anyone who rises rise for your sake. See it that way. You won't have to force remembrance. It'll just happen. People will set out good plans and intentions for you - that where they are you may be also. This shall not miss you.

PRAYER: Lord, I'm seated with You in heavenly places. I'm where you are and I rule over principalities and powers. Lord, I want to be where my role model or mentor  (mention him or her) is. I'm remembered!

HE STANDS TO MEET THEM - I Perceive Series 008

Read Gen. 19:1-16

Genesis 19:1, KJV

"And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

What's in the training of Abraham and also in the training of Lot that both recognize divine luminaries even when they appear as men? Your training as a Christian is what positions you for such awareness. If you've not been cultivating awareness to divine things, divine moments and blessers would come and pass by you just like that. You remember Abraham was just at the gate of his tent at Mamre when he saw these trio that he had a witness to go and fetch unto himself. He just had understanding and a move of the spirit. Same actually happens to Lot. Lot as well is at the gate of the city when he sees these two strangers but who his heart latch unto. That's the truth I have found out. God leads us by our desires at times. God will just fill your breast with some certain aspirations, desires and pursuits. You may not be able to explain why you're feeling after such things but that's summarily because God has your salvation or your provision in mind. This is why God will just make you have eye for some things or some persons that others tend to ignore. You must therefore cultivate such heart. A heart that God can impinge on and will vibrate hearing and recognizing what God is stirring him to attempt or do. This is the case with Lot.

At the city gate, he saw, he ran, he persuaded and he brought these men into his house - under his shelter. However, these aren't ordinary men. They are at least angels disguised as humans. It's in them Lot's salvation from Sodom and Gomorrah is hidden. I pray for you, you won't despise your salvation at the gate. Do you know that the man who'll head the interview panel you'll attend on Monday could cross your path on Sunday seeking direction and you may be so much attentive to him then that on Monday, you'll have bought yourself a testimony and then, all others shall be history. God do put schedules before schedules for people. God solves difficult problems for people before its eventuality. However, what is your response to God's move when it appears ahead of its D-day?

Lot exercised himself for these men. He even goes as far as wanting to endanger his virgin daughters in exchange for their safety. All these non-challant attitudes and acts of Lot speaks a million times to these divine luminaries. They came to inspect all together and they found one righteous. You know there's a verse that says, "there's none righteous, everyone has gone his way".

Romans 3:10-12, KJV

"10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one."

Yet, this one gives attention. He still understands. I pray for you, you will still understand amidst many who have all gone astray. Wherever you may be on the surface of the earth, national or societal calamity shall not pin you down. You'll always be ahead of it. You'll receive notification and leading by mercy that'll take you out. That's basically because the righteous must not suffer with the wicked. God constantly do make a separation between the righteous and the wicked and as long as you won't become stubborn or disobedience but willing and obedient, God will move for you when it is imminent. When heaven is seeking for accommodation and they are seeking for a man who still understands, may it be you who'll give them rest. Today, many ministries and called ministers are in search of rest. Only few could have a revelation of what God wants to use them for and so respond to them. You'll see that such fellow who gave his land or his house for a takeoff of such work would not be forgotten. Their act would solidify as a memorial before God and even in the history of that church. They'll have the testimony of this woman who broke her alabaster box before Jesus. Jesus said this of her.

Mark 14:9, KJV

"Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her."

Imagine that! Yet, so it has been. How do you want it to be that as someone who has come to a great estate today preaches, he references your parents intermittently as those who accepted and gave them space to start in what has gone world-wide today? Only if they can perceive. May you be with understanding. Understanding or revelation will give you knowledge that will make you act differently. Obviously, it couldn't have been Lot only that was at the gate. However, his heart yearns after making a room for them in his house. Yet, his salvation is hidden in this also. May you move in the act that'll preserve you today and then tomorrow.

PRAYER: I am rightly sited as I receive a heart that sees the blesser and responds.

STANDING EXPECTANT IN HOPE - I Perceive Series 007

Genesis 18:8, KJV

"And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat."

For awhile, we've been on God's visitation to us and how to maximize it. Abraham took God's provision and maximized His appearance to him as he was at the tent door at Mamre. Your responsibility is not to allow your blessing pass you by. You must rather draw anything that's divine and given to you as a reward into your boat - life. Nothing must fall off, behind or be wasted. Not one!

After Abraham settles these trio who came his way, the Bible records something that many would take for granted. It says, "and he stood by them under the tree and they did eat". Abraham didn't furnish a table for them and then leave. No! He prepared a table before them and stayed to attend to them further. He waited on them like a servant would wait on his master to see if he might bid him anything in the process. This is service - giving ourselves to others and losing sight of who we are at the sight and recognition of our Blesser - One who's greater than we are. Many people are redundant today because their blesser came and they didn't fulfill all the requirements necessary for receiving. However, not Abraham. After having them as his guests, he still stood by them as they ate. He's not different from the watchman that Habakkuk talks about.

Habakkuk 2:1, KJV

"I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved."

The watchman stays there to hear what would be commanded him so he could do accordingly. You can't be a waiter if you're in haste. Never! Humility and patience make waiters.

That Abraham's waiting isn't a wasted waiting. It's strategic and intentional. So, Abraham stood by them as they did eat! He stood by them watching, waiting, expecting and trusting. He knows these are Blessers and they harbour something of his that must be given him. Abraham may not be able to trace specifically how he knows but he sure has a knowing. More importantly, etiquette of their culture demands that he waits on them. It'll be wrong to serve them and vanish into thing air. If they need more water, who'd get that or pour it? You should wait to hear their responses on the meal and whatsoever they might have to say also. Let them 'hmmm' the food as they eat. Let's hear whether they have good comments to give on the food you've served them. You know, a wife stays around the husband to hear what he'll say on her food (her work) as he eats. If her work is acceptable, it'll be good comments that could even trigger the husband's blessing and appreciation.

As they eat however - having been impressed, they made a demand. Thank God Abraham was near by. Thank God Abraham waited on them. Here's that long awaited blessing coming the way of this old couple now. Having seen with what service Abraham had served them, having eaten his meal and having accepted his work, they asked saying, where's Sarah your wife?

Many times in the Bible, we see the idea of people standing by their sacrifices. When Balaam was recruited by Balak; after the sacrifices had been prepared and the altar built, Balaam would tell Balak to stand by his sacrifice.

Numbers 23:3, KJV

"And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place."

You see, your sacrifice speaks of you and speaks for you. So, you must stand to see your work, to see if you'll be accepted or rejected. But for Abraham as he stood by the men as they ate the meal that he offered them, he as well stood by his sacrifice that way - waiting for what they'll say. He stood there expecting a reply on what he has given and offered. Indeed, it came. That voice came through when it says:

Genesis 18:9-10, KJV

"9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him."

I am praying for someone today that "the voice will come through for you". Look, after all has been said and done, it's either your work is accepted or rejected. Hear it here.

Ecclesiastes 9:7, KJV

"Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works."

Did you see that? "For God now accepts your work" may mean "for God now accepts your acts, prayer, sacrifice, lifestyle, worship, alms, waiting, expecting and retreating". It may mean all those. Abraham stood by his work and he soon found acceptance. He was accepted and so his work. Immediately, it led to a response and blessing by the heavenly Blesser. Today, the long awaited shall dawn on you. I'm hearing concerning someone that, "your prayers and alms have risen to God as a memorial before Him". That's the same words spoken to Cornelius as an angel brought his blessing. Therefore because your works have been accepted, God is returning to you today to give answers where you're needy and helpless. The ultimate one thing that's lacking in your life shall be met and that today.

PRAYER: Thank You for accepting me and my work. Teach me on the truth that a man can't be separated from his work.

AT PERCEIVING, LATCH UNTO HIM - I Perceive Series 006

Genesis 18:1, KJV

"And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day."

I said yesterday that God is not partial. He gave Himself to all men (John 3:16) and He's still giving Himself to them as a fullness that meet their needs (John 1:16). However, He draws near to men even when He's too ruddy to be believed so.

The testimony concerning David is that he's ruddy and of a fine appearance. So, they didn't esteem him as a warrior.

I Samuel 17:42, KJV

"And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance."

However, God used him and they were all proven wrong when He did.

God will appear to all men at one time or the other. He won't leave you forlorn. Only that you must perceive and recognize. We saw this in Abraham yesterday. Three men almost bypassed him but he went to turn them to his place.

My emphasis is on the heart and knowing of Abraham. Abraham has a witness that these aren't ordinary men. He therefore persuaded them until they were ashamed to turn unto him.

Genesis 18:2-3, KJV

"2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, 3 And said, My LORD, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:"

The Bible says, "he ran to meet this opportunity". He even bowed down to them and honoured them saying, "my Lord". Abraham saw something. Though he is at the tent door trying to cool off but he refuses to be encumbered. He sees some three men. He sees the Lord and he gives him water when He needed it, meat when He needed it and even shelter when He was weary.

This way, Abraham mustn't go empty handed. He must be blessed in return. Abraham who have eyes for such a thing must have his need met also. What follows after refreshing this trio is a call for Sarah.

You know the end of the story. Today, your heart for the things of God will pay. I'm seeing a woman there who has spent herself on God and His things yet is still in hope of a child. It'll be unto you as it is unto Abraham here. I'm also hearing this. "Some of you will reap the reward and sowing of someone who has exercised himself or herself for God". It was Abraham who called these men in but Sarah is the one they called for after they had eaten Abraham's food. You're about to reap the seed already sown by your parents, siblings and even pastor. A demand will go on in the spirit over you. Today, they'll ask for you. They'll call you to come. Sarah was called for though she was not present with the trio. She reaped the labour of Abraham's perception. Today, you will. Be blessed!

PRAYER: I am called in. I am called to come. My time has come. It's harvest.

HE APPEARS UNTO ALL MEN SOMEWHERE AND AT A TIME - I Perceive Series 005

Genesis 18:1, KJV

"1 And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day."

There's no one that the Lord has depraved of His visitation. He appears to all men. Only that you may not have acknowledged Him so when He came. However, God who has been generous to the Jews has also been generous to the Gentiles. He has given His son, Jesus Christ to all as the very and only means by which any man on Earth could be saved (John 3:16). So, none of us should say, "He has not appeared." He died for your sins already. He bought you redemption already (Isa. 53). However, it's left for you to receive this claim and this work. In John 4, Jesus appeared to a woman of Samaria. Though she couldn't recognize Jesus as her expected Messiah yet Jesus revealed Himself to her saying, "I that speak to you am He" (John 4:26). Apart from salvation brought by Jesus however, He has not ceased to appear unto us.

Divinity's appearance never ceases. Appearance of God continues till date. What appearance of God to humanity do I speak about today? It's His appearance to each of us as opportunities to take. The Bible says, "and the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre..." He has not left Abraham without a witness. Here's is His witness to Abraham. Here's the presentation of Himself to Abraham. Here's the arrival of Himself at Abraham's door but the big question is, "what would Abraham do with this arrival?" Before that question, we might even need to ask if Abraham would see He who has arrived and acknowledge Him. Will Abraham be able to read and perceive that this august visitor at the distance isn't ordinary but divinity appearing in human comeliness? When the Lord came, Abraham was not oblivion of it. He was not inside but at the tent's door trying to cool off. He was where he could see passers-by and he saw this trio that day. Thank God for his good disposition towards strangers. Thank God for his caring and generous heart. Verses 2-5 narrates how Abraham springs up to meet them, persuading them to turn in unto him to be refreshed.

As we shall see in days to come, we'll see how seeing, recognizing and perceiving divinity for who they are even in man's comeliness came to be for Abraham's blessing. God is set to meet your needs. However, He sometimes coach Himself in simplicity and see if you'll give Him recognition. He doesn't come hollering Himself at times. When Jesus was born also, where He was birthed didn't give Him away as a great King or Messiah (Lk. 2:7). However, He is. Only some were granted His revelation and came on pilgrimage (Matt.2:1-2). Great things still happen on ordinary days. No need of carrying a megaphone. Many people are still receiving and testifying but they saw and acknowledged first of all. Where they sat at their tent doors, they didn't act non-challant and so were rewarded for same.

May you have this Abrahamic heart that sees from afar and somehow knows the end. When your blessing appears to you at your tent door, may it not pass on without your drawing it in.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to be strategically located and placed to sight and draw in  opportunities that will make up for what I've missed this year.

MORNING WINGS DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE - Olusola ADEJUMO

THEY'RE ASKING, "ARE YOU THE ONE TO COME OR WE SHOULD EXPECT ANOTHER?"

Luke 7:18-19, KJV

"18 And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things.19 And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?"

One might ask, "why would a fellow in John - as the one who identified and revealed Jesus to all be same who'll send such a message as we read above to Jesus?" If not for offence, he wouldn't stop believing in Jesus and seeing Him from the very light he had seen Him from the beginning. At the beginning, even his disciples left his ministry for Jesus' and he was not offended (John 1:36-37). He revealed Jesus as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the whole world. Doing this didn't offend him though he was losing men. He said in John 3:29-30 that, "29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease." Where then could this wrong perception and view of Jesus by John have come from when he himself proved that Jesus is God's sent Messiah to the earth. Even at His baptism when he John would have successfully convinced Jesus to baptize Him, Jesus had refuted and persuaded him on it been done as it fits all righteousness. Jesus has never been wanting before in his sight. The Son of God has never strayed off purpose but has always maintained His course. So, is it lately that Jesus has missed purpose and is no longer Who to expect?

John's view has been changed by imprisonment. He expects deliverance and he didn't see one. This is his revenge. This is his fury and explosion at Jesus. In essence, John was saying, "if you have power, get me out of here. Couldn't you see I'm stuck here". I need help now. He was saying, "if you're the Messiah, save me now!"

However, all these requests came out of huge offence. His own ministry has been stopped and hindered being in jail but Jesus' still continues. Hearing the report of Jesus' great miracles from his disciples, he sent word to Jesus if he were the One to come or they should expect another. He was indeed expecting that Jesus would know where to channel His power - for the saving of the messenger that announced Him.

John became a failure and a disgrace! His reward and feedback didn't delay at all. Jesus having done many miracles at that hour directed the gazes and observation of those he sent to those acts and asked them to observe and go to report all they had seen and heard to John.

Then, Jesus added one more thing, "blessed is he who's not offended at me". How did Jesus know he was in offence? Because John was expecting something to be done yet nothing had happened. People get offended when their expectations are not met or when it tarries and they're disappointed at such delay. Jesus knew he sent that errand because he was stuck and he hoped He would come to his aid. However, offence shouldn't propel us to demean our salvation and even reject it. John demeaned and rejected his own Salvation. He was in essence saying, "if you won't do anything, I might as well look unto another or another place". However, Jesus is not Esther that a Mordecai would tell, "if you look away, enlargement will arise for the Jews from another quarters" (Esther 4:14). This Jesus is the salvation - the final solution and answer and help of all men. Any who's offended at Him might die in his or her sin - never coming out of imprisonment of hell alive like John. Any who rejects His help and seeks to expect another might not find any at all. May I ask, have you found Him as your help and salvation or you're still looking for another one? I assure you, it'll never come.

Let me encourage you not to lose faith, doubt or become offended that your expectations till hitherto have not been met. He sees it all and He hears it all and He'll do it all. Just don't reproach Him and look unto another. Don't be offended at God or any you're expecting money, encouragement, sympathy, companionship etc from but who seems not to be looking in your direction now. Getting offended in them will make you vulnerable - shifting you away from expectation and the place of faith. This way, you'll receive nothing but wither in your offence and doubt. Rather, keep trusting and seeing Jesus as He who is to do it and not another god or goddess. Don't shift your position of faith. It's of great reward before heaven.

PRAYER: Give me a heart release from offence. I purge myself of self justification over others.
