FAITH THAT DRAWS

If there's anything I'll like everyone take its handle, it is the handle of faith that draws. You might have exercised your faith to receive healing or break out of a seemingly difficult situation before. It may be that you didn't wilfully exercise faith but because you were besieged, surrounded and there was no visible way of escape to your mind; you pressed the trigger of faith that draws, redeems and catches God's attention.

However, faith or living by faith ought to be our daily life. Do you know that any service or anything you do unto God that doesn't proceed from faith is displeasure to Him.

Hebrews 11:6, KJV

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him".

This makes faith and living by it a necessity. 

The just have been said for long to live by his faith [Habakkuk 2:4, KJV]. His survival and continuous survival is based on that. The quality of life you'll have apart from what money or any human being can give you is determinant on your faith and its quality. 

One day, I heard a Nigerian minister say, "the best of the best at the expense of Jesus". Everything is in store and for those who have graduated faith to the place that it draws, they will always have whatsoever they trust God for. It's like casting a hook and then believing for a fish. You will successfully bait or attract whatsoever you have faith for. Faith can be so strong that you believe you've received when the request has not been possessed. Time will fail me to speak of how faith has given many salvation, provision and all unimaginable. If I recount, you'll become envious of such.

Today, God desires you have faith enough that can make Him look in your direction. Have we not read that no doubter shall receive from God?

James 1:6-7, KJV

"6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord".

Faith is what God respects. It is also the equalizer. Money isn't equal but faith is available for all of us to exercise and if you know how to fish with your faith, you will be rich. But because people are not still fishing with faith but their hands only, they become limited and finally not equalized. The Bible describes some people as being rich in faith. You don't have to be poor before you're rich in faith. You can have this earth's goods yet know how well to weave, sling, throw and shield with faith.

James 2:5, KJV

"...Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith...?"

Imagine what such set of people (those with faith) will be catching. There's nothing that's too outstretched beyond the arm of an exercised faith. Faith yearns and as it yearns in desire for that thing, it begins to get closer and the thing closer until it is handed over. Faith is a living thing. Let it breathe. As it breathes, it pants after an obsession until it's possessed. Brethren, develop faith to meet your daily needs. When you're exercising faith, be specific in prayer. This is how to know if it is God that has answered your prayer or not. You need furniture. Specifically state the kind or colour you'll want those settee come in. Be down to the last details. While a faithless fellow will doubt if God could meet his needs down to its last minute details, exercisers of faith uses it to discern God's faithfulness to them when it happens. If this God is real and the Bible isn't a cunningly devised fable that we're obeying, we ought to be testing its realities. He answers to the last details. I read of how a mighty preacher we all know asked for a furniture and even specified the kind of wood the furniture should be made with, believe it, that was what he received. Many are deceived to think exercising faith is only the privilege of ministers because the anointing might be aiding them. No, it is the exclusive leverage of all children. Every believer is just. Begin to test faith out. Begin to trust to receive by faith. It may take time but if you'll persist, your request in hope shall drop. Then, you'll testify that all good and perfect gift only comes from God.

LET THE PROCESS CERTIFY YOU

James 1:4, KJV

"But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing".

You can jump the hurdle or pass underneath. One time, I had a dream. Two men were holding a rope. I was to jump over the rope to the other side like we do in High Jump. As I ran towards the rope, I was suddenly scared. The rope seems too high for me. Then, I went underneath. I met myself on the other side but by breaking the requirement. Do you know what happened next? Those two men told me, "go back". So, I went back in order to observe the process and obey the protocols.  That's how the dream lifted. God was actually telling me to go observe the correct requirement of a thing I was entering into then.

When process is concern, you'll see two men. Those who defy it and those who keep it. In John 10, we read of the sheep fold and he who enters by the gate and he who enters by another way. One observes the process, one though enters breaks it. When you submit to process, it may seem rigorous. However, there's a thing it puts inside you. You're concretized. Delay is a test and it is a process that can process you. Delay always forces deception to reveal itself. Since delay is hope or expectation not manifesting on time, you either learn patience or you get that same thing by another means. This is where we have waiting and those who wait on the Lord. Patience is necessary if you'll really have some things and I'll encourage you to work it. Some will never let patience have her perfect work. They're being worked on, they're already enduring the process but suddenly they'll just speak up, they'll retaliate and say, "am I the only one?" Believe it, that's the end of their letting patience have her perfect work. Formation of godly character is not title bestowed on people. They're formed by endurance of processes. The fire Paul created forced a snake pretending as a stick to declare its true self [Acts 28:3]. Same applies to what process or patience does. It will push out undesirables in you for you to be entire. Have you seen gold being refined before or the turning of coal into diamond? It endures pressure. So also, virtues don't come out without your being shrunk, tested, pressed on all sides etc. As you groan, and as your sweat becomes thick as blood falling to the ground from exercising patience, you're being formed into a fellow lacking in nothing. "Entire" means whole. When you talk, no one will say, "who's that fellow" since you're already entire? But if you're not, when you behave, people will begin to ask questions. God's will for you as His craftsmanship is that you'll be lacking in nothing. Your cooperation is what will make this happen as He brings the test. 

The night will soon become dawn. Don't break this process. Let patience have its full work. If you give your vehicle to a mechanic, you don't halt him from completion of the work when you know he has not had his perfect work on it. You'll be scared doing that for it may endanger your life. You'll rather tell him to take his full time on the vehicle. What about you as a person? So, don't seek relief when work has not been thoroughly completed and certainty given. Long-suffer a little more and there comes your break. You'll always thank God you waited till then. Many regretted their not letting patience have its full work. Though they've been waiting but are now out of patience. So, they begin to engage in premarital affairs, off another goes to do money ritual, off another goes into prostitution. It was after these that they were shown how close they were to their break. They raised an alarm and with great weeping wept. Sorry, it can't be reversed. This is how they become vessels of dishonour. When patience is having its work and it becomes unbearable, persist with encouragement that it is this hard on you because you're almost reaching. Even when you don't reach that soon, make that your encouragement until patience certifies you to have been well processed.

PRAYER: What will it take? Let me be able to give it.

WHY ALL FLESH TROOP TO HIM

READ Psalm 65

Psalms 65:2, KJV

"O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come."

Why do some attract multitude - having them flock round them like swarm of bees? Is it because of their strong perfume? It is because of charm, skill, favour, anointing, gift or attraction they manifest. What you must know is this, vultures are not just seen gathering like that. They could only be found gathering round a carcass. Unless something is dead, you won't see the community of vultures gather round the table. They always ask, "what will it profit us?" What draws them is the carcass itself. They come for nothing else but that. "Wherever there is a fallen body (a corpse), there the vultures (or eagles) will flock together" [Matthew 24:28, AMP].

Did you see now that vultures just don't come around? It's rather because of something that benefits them. Who's that icon, superstar that has more fans or followers than God? If God were on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn etc, the likes and comments He'll rake in in an hour would be much than that of the whole earth's put together! You'll read His comments and you'd be tired. As this one is saying, "thank you sir for the answered prayer"; this is saying, "amen." There will just be uncountable patronising Him and that's how they'll keep trooping in like all bodies of water emptying themselves into the ocean.

Today's Psalm says, "unto you will all flesh come.." Why will all flesh seek Him? Don't they have businesses to do? Why will their attention be turned to God? Why won't they seek Him when He is said to be He that answers prayers. The multitude you see at the corridor who have come to worship in spirit and in truth throng to Him because of His deed. God has already being proven. He is said to be the One that answers prayers. On that testimony, we can as well climb to receive from Him. No one climbs to Him who first don't believe He exists. "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" [Hebrews 11:6, KJV].

Do you know why that place says, "but without faith it's impossible to please God: for he that comes to Him must believe that He is and that He's a rewarder of those that diligently seeks Him?" It is because God is invisible. For as many that will come to Him, they must believe that He is first of all. That He exists somewhere and that when they come to Him or call on His name, He gives answers and replies. He is the need meeting God. No need is too challenging to be met. If you visit some affluent people, they'll ask you, "what do you want to eat?" They're not asking out of pride. They only want to satisfy you. To tell you the truth, they have everything at home. God has a warehouse for all type of needs. When you pray, like a Father Christmas deeps his hand in a pouch to bring out a parcel, so does He do. It is readily available. Your request can't shock Him. This is why God is the One we're all running to. Who goes where he sees no profit? Who invests in a business without a guarantee of returns? No one does that. So, why God commands such a large crowd known for its multitude whose number we'll even lose counting is because He has made Himself important by meeting people's needs. I don't know that artisan that people patronises more than God. What value does he actually offer that would make people queue at his door? For what? Who's he? But when it comes to this Attractor, He collects the attention of the whole world to Himself yet He opens no amazement park. He only gives answers to the cries of people. For this, people keep mounting to Him, seeking His face and seeking His help. If you're reading this devotional now, you're doing so as to be attended to by He that all flesh comes to. Did you see that we've not left talking yet that verse is finding fulfilment. May you be this important. May the value you offer multiply as to have men come to you. Wherever people get irritated and get off from you, may it be amended. The Psalmist was overwhelmed. He said, "O thou..." He wonders at how God keeps printing output for men yet without his ink or printer developing a fault. Look, God is a satellite that's somewhere in heaven that sends signals to the earth. It is this signal that He sends, that we interpret and then receives as the answers to our prayers. God is an answering God. You've heard the testimony of the Psalmist. On the strength of that, mount up to Him and ask Him to meet your needs.

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for being Shammah (the Lord is there) and Jireh (the Provider). I thank You because You hear.

FOR MONEY'S SAKE!

 IN ALL YOUR SEARCH

When we woke up, we didn't wake as children to the factual fact that we'll all need money this much. This was so because we had adults who were financing our responsibilities.

We can't say same today. We all are fishing for money and ways to make our lives better. Meanwhile in your search after this earth's goods, ensure God is not lost. Let God be preserved always. Let Him be intact - untouched. Don't be like Joseph and Mary who had lost and left Jesus behind at Jerusalem and didn't discover He didn't journey with them until a great while [Luke 2:42-48]. Yours is even better if you discover you've lose God - missing steps or backsliding. Some will neither have a restraint nor conscience's pull. It may be because their mind has become reprobate. The day you don't know again like Samson that the Valuable Value has fallen, you're sincerely opened to all kinds. The Bible says of Samson, "and he wist not that the Lord was departed from him" [Judges 16:20, KJV]. Please, always inspect yourself whether you're still whole or you've been damaged or robbed.

You're beginning to lose God if any job you're doing is hindering common fellowship that any Christian should have with Him. Is that not where wisdom to handle life, divine insight into life's riddles, divine revelation on what and what not to invest in, when and when not to travel will come from? As you miss and miss, you begin to lose out from hearing the messages of truth from the anointed that could concretize truth in you so you won't misbehave in your daily search. So, since there's no scripture to recall (either from personal fellowship) or anointed message (that puts right from a minister) to remember, one may join the league of those who fish for money while sacrificing their integrity or violating their conscience for it. Many things happen when you're not in harmony with God. That singular door that's opened will let in multitude of negative consequences.

God can give you money but money can't give you God. If you have the money which is not God's blessings, you won't have God of all blessings. So, preserve your relationship as you go around fishing. Also, ensure at every return home, you check and can testify you have not defrauded any or violated your conscience. Don't let God alight from you without knowing. If you know, amendment is easily done. Please!

AND THERE'S NO SWORD IN HIS HAND

I Samuel 17:50, KJV

"So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David."

God wants to take all the glory which is why He uses foolish things to trouble the wise. In today's passage, David triumphed absolutely over Goliath but he did without what it takes to secure victory. To fight a Goliath, one's priority should be the sword, javelin, coat of mail and other weapons. They tried wearing him that but he couldn't move in it because he has not been used to it. In his own words, "I have not proved them". That's part of God's work to strip any man of what could have taken the glory of God and reduce the possibility of effortlessness of achievement of big things in simple manner God wanted it achieved.

However, it is recorded so that God might be praised that there was no sword in David's hand. That's the testimony. Goliath was killed but not according to popular public opinion. As soon as the people hears Goliath dies, they'll be interested in how he died. They'll be expecting a fierce battle between him and the fellow that killed him but the testimony is that there was neither a prolonged battle or even a sword in David's hand. The sword is the esteemed instrument of victory but God gave the honour to the sling and the stone, the lesser instrument. How many people will hear, "a sling and a stone" that won't sit well to declare the impossibility of such story?" They'll declare it as non plausible until another confirms its validity. What a surprise and a miracle! Did that trouble you at the reading? A sword should be in his hand but he got the job done without one. You know when you expect a job to have been done some how because of how esteemed the job is but the job that seems that big is rather accomplished almost without effort and with the least instrument (one despised as unable to do the job), shouldn't one wonder at how it has suddenly become easy as to be so cheap to be attempted that way. Those of you that are always putting trust in big things to achieve big things, it doesn't have to be like that. May God lean you down to face all Goliaths with what could really win the awe of men. If Goliath had died by the sword, the shock wouldn't have been much. Many would have predicted a warrior like him dying through such war tool. However, a sling and a stone downplays the almightiness of Goliath and reveals him as no mighty man that a sword should even be drawn at. It's like saying a notorious robber is arrested without charm or a gun. You know he's notorious. His being notorious makes him invincible to any human mind but at last, his arrest just happen like that. God will touch your mind and hands. Henceforth, you'll begin to secure your Goliaths without sword. That will be the testimony. People will come around to question you as to how you won so cheaply. They'll want you explain how the victory took place and the moment you say you recovered without using drugs, birthed without CS despite the complications, they'll wonder and say, "abnormal". This is the kind of awe God wants to command.  Look, the testimony is Goliath dies without a sword in David's hands. May you accomplish in such simplicity what is tough. 

PRAYER: Downplay what is hard before me. If it takes them years to do it, let me accomplish same in a month. Let there always be a place of testimony and the desire to confirm if my testimony is plausible.

THOSE WHO ARE IMPRESSED BUT DECEIVED BY THE GLORY - Purpose Series 012

Read I Sam.8:11-17

I Samuel 17:7,ESV

"The shaft of his spear was like a weaver's beam, and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron. And his shield-bearer went before him".

There are those that fall into the category today's devotional's title describes. They are the set that are impressed by the honour those who heed calling or purpose enjoy but who eventually get deceived by it. In today's quotation, we read of a fellow who bears Goliath's shield. Goliath has been a man of war from his youth. At this time being referenced, he was not a youth but a fully blown adult who has stayed a soldier for years. The decades he has put down in service is now returning payment to him however. One of such is the fact that he has a shield bearer. If you read through the Old Testament, especially the Historical books, you'll see kings and master warriors having shield bearers. The shield they use in battle for defense, it is somebody's responsibility to carry it for them until it's time to use it. This reveals them as masters and the bearers apprentices. Having a shield bearer is prestigious and honourable. It reveals your rank. There is no office or position that doesn't has its honour. If the honour of your profession isn't revealing itself now, it is a matter of time. You'll see much of it. It is however wrong to be influenced to go with another to his own field because of that field's honour. Have you found your own calling? Tarry there and your field will also yield the specific kind of honour it has to give to those who are called to it. To start a ministry because of the honour you see those who are called to it enjoying will either make you seek Satanic assistance or get you frustrated. Ministry, especially founding work is not what any man takes its honour unto himself. You must be called - not by yourself or any human but God.

Hebrews 5:4, KJV

"And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron".

Start because of the calling and stirring of heart to do such for the Lord. The Bible says, " Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it" [I Thessalonians 5:24, KJV].

It is He that calls you that will do it. Ask yourself if He'll do anything at all if He hasn't called you. Commitment is secured at commission. When we see those who have paid the price of their vocation benefiting from their years of years' sacrifice and commitment to that field, the temptation may arise to be aroused to follow suite without being called. If you're already called, it is good if you see what God has made them and by that strengthen yourself. If you're not, never be deceived by same to start what they're doing. God doesn't supply strength and endurance for what He doesn't call people into. Somebody could have said, "I want to become a soldier. Look at Sir Goliath and the honour he enjoys". In reality, I wanted to become a soldier. I like the respect, honour and estimation given them but God never released me to go that way. May we be taught to stay in our lane and not poke nose. Admiration of those who have made it isn't sin but be warned never be led by that only to consider for a vocation what God hasn't planted in you at eternity to manifest as calling in time. "Somebody carries his shield for him. He's a big man. A driver drives him. They carry his Bible for him. Come and see jets. He has maids. He has convoy". Yes, he has and should do. Don't be deceived by all these. They're just by-products of walking the road he was called into. It is the road walked with persistence that produces them. If Goliath was not a champion and taken for same, do you think any will submit to carry his shield for him. He won't even have the heart's release to allow his shield to be carried. You can follow to a place in purpose where any privilege done you is what you're not guilty accepting. It just befits you. It doesn't matter those criticizing you, saying, "he's making slaves of men". Let them also go and heed their destiny's call and let's see if at the utopia of their calling, there won't be those who will voluntarily submit to them. But you, know that there's no glory without the call first of all. Being a warrior is an endangered work. It is not by skill only survivors makes it home. That's why this same Goliath fell victim one day. That was despite the skill. So, before you're tempted to accept the challenge you were not called or equipped for, count the cost and the danger. Let not admiration seduce or lure you to death and injury. The glory of the calling can encourage us to follow but it can be deceptive if you have heeded to chase after the shadows only. After a few years in ministry, if no one gifts you a car, you'll opt out and be offended. The genuineness of anyone called is always tested as to sift the called from the uncalled. It's then you'll know how bad it is considering ministry because of the honorarium involved. Be warned and be guided before you go on this road. Judge your motive and let it be correct. Once it is, throw yourself wholly into it. You'll always float because He'll bear you up. Faithful is He that calls you. That same Father will do it.

PRAYER: Lord, may I master the two sides of admiration and honour. I persist in my calling to reap the glory. I refuse to be deceived to go the road of another.

THOSE WHO SAY OF THEMSELVES THEY'RE BUT A YOUTH - Purpose Series 011

Read Jeremiah 1:1-8

Jeremiah 1:5-6, AMP

"5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations 6 Then said I, Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am only a youth".

Mindset is very powerful. If people regard you as the head but you persuasively convincingly believes yourself to be the tail, you'll manifest the 'tail'. Whenever God encounters people and calls them as tools to use, one of the first things He does is to make them see they're capable or reinforce same believe in them. That angel told Gideon, "The Lord is with you thou mighty man of valour". Gideon himself was not seeing any fight or warrior spirit in himself. He questions whether God was indeed with them [Judges 6:12-16]. O, how I pray that God will give you those who will show you who you're really are until your perspective is changed when doubt arises in you. Your circumstance, background, past life isn't as important as the  demand on your life and what by calling you are. If God comes to you for use, it means you're usable. Don't reject yourself. While in secondary school, I was called upon to replace a senior graduating student who did chanting and eulogy every year at our graduation ceremony. People would applaud him and spray him money. The Yoruba language teacher knew I could do it. I knew I could do it also because it's a thing I had done in the closet. I was given the material to memorise for the chant but deep down in me, I knew I won't take it. What trick did I pulled out? On the D-day, I didn't go to school. That's how I disappointed them but I didn't do it intentionally. I did it out of fear and non acknowledgment of myself as the one who should do it. I was the Labour Prefect but I was thinking, "why not the Head Boy?" At that time, I suffered a lot of inferiorly complex. I did't even want to be seen. The discovery of my purpose destroyed the yoke. Now, I'm not afraid of taking up assignments. I do and discharge same in boldness. When I preach, it is strong and in boldness. I'm no longer bound by inferiority complex. I'm called and anointed. I'm the chosen. If not me, who else? That's my confidence. So, I radiate it. 

Did you hear what Jeremiah told the Lord? I'm but a youth. Did God call him a youth? Did that One not tell him that his calling predates his formation in the womb? God was saying all these to assure and set him to come to a place of believability in himself. Do you know how many talented, gifted, called, chosen, well favoured people are acting contrarily today? Do you know why? They're seeing themselves lesser than who they really are and what God has really called them. Why are people too conscious of their problems? Why are they swallowed by the thoughts that only some people are glorious vessels but others must be hidden! 

Look, if God is striving to change how you should see yourself and you refuse, you won't be used. God may want to but it won't still work. A poor mindset can't reflect a correct manifestation. Even if you say your God is big but your mindset is poor, you'll downgrade God to a small God. Change your mindset; believe in yourself. You're not too young to be used. Forget about all those disqualifications you are mentioning. There are highway robbers, kidnappers, terrorists, suicide bombers who are just teens. So, what makes you a child that can't do the job? Accept the offer and God will equip you to make up for your real or unreal inadequacies.

PRAYER: [Touch your Bible and say] - This is my Bible and I believe it. I am what it says I am and I can do what it says I can do.
