LET DOWN YOUR NETS FOR A CATCH
That's what I just heard. I heard, "tell them to let down their nets for a catch."
Luke 5:4, KJV
"Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught."
God doesn't make announcements or pronouncements without having sighted something. A dog does not bark if he hasn't seen a thing. So, when God told Peter to, "let down his nets for a draught", it was because of what Jesus had seen and knew was coming or will soon happen.
Peter is no longer here but you are here. I heard this word concerning you. It came fresh to my spirit. I heard God say, "let down your nets for a draught."
It means, "ready for an opportunity." As it's occurring to my mind, you've sown somewhere and God sees that a harvest is coming. That's what He's readying you for. So, when He said, "let down your nets for a draught", it may mean, "pay attention to your journey as you go henceforth so that your harvest doesn't pass you by."
If Peter didn't get ready or prepare for the foretold harvest coming by letting down his nets for a catch, though the catch was there (in the water) at that time, it would have scattered and gone.
God may also be speaking to some people that He wants to bless or make to reap the reward of their service to Him. He really doesn't want them to miss it. He loves them that much. So, before it springs up, He announces it to them. So, He's announcing beforehand, "let down your nets for a catch."
Why many miss opportunities is because they aren't aware of it. You'll hear such say, "but I didn't know." But God wants you to know: to be aware on the matter that concerns you. There's a Yoruba proverb that says, "O n bo, O n bo, awon la n dede."
It means, "what is foretold should be prepared for." If you have an announcement or receive a notice or gossip that your mother in law is visiting, that notice is to prepare you. A married lady would know what to put in place before her arrival.
If the mother in law is a difficult one, the lady knows she needs to prepare her mind and trust God for things. She'll know she'll need to commit things into God's hands while resolving to please her. Notices are to prepare you. God is still repeating it and I'm feeling it. He's saying, "let down your nets for a catch." Simply put, this is harvest time. Harvest is on the way! The fishes are whirling and gathering! The harvest is being put together (just for you). Your reward is at hand but you need a basket, a net, a vessel and preparation and readiness to draw it into your ship. Else it slips!
The preparation you put in place for what you're expecting depends on what you're readying for.
I'm hearing a complementing Bible verse in my spirit now.
II Kings 4:3, KJV
"Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few."
That's Elisha speaking to that widow with little oil in the jar. He instructed her to "go and borrow vessels and not a few" just for the sake of the harvest He had perceived in the spirit coming her way.
"Go borrow vessels of all your neighbors, not a few."
What was Elisha saying? "Something is coming your way; continuous flow of oil is coming your way. You can't sense or see it but I could sense it. I'm even smelling it. As such, go and gather what is needed to harvest it and collect it to the fullest of the opportunity that'll be sent.
God doesn't want your collection of it not to equal or correspond with what He'll send. So, borrow vessels not a few!
His saying that you should borrow vessels not a few is not only an instruction but a warning. A warning that if you don't have vessels on ground, the (coming) oil will be wasted.
Peter didn't know of the harvest to come neither did this woman discern the same too. But Jesus could discern what was coming his own way and Elisha knew also what was coming this woman's way. So, they said, "get ready. Let down your nets for a catch and get vessels ready for the oil!"
I perceive another thing in the spirit. God wants to make some of you prophets - watchmen for others. He wants to make you that man who senses, knows, perceives even before it arrives and can sensitize men to ready themselves for it.
In these two places I just quoted from, Jesus could predict a harvest coming Peter's way though has not manifested and Elisha also could predict a coming blessing of the flowing oil even when it hasn't manifested.
Just on that story alone, I'm hearing a number of verses in my spirit. I'll quote them all and use it as the Spirit of God intends.
I Kings 18:41, "And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain."
II Kings 6:32, "But Elisha sat in his house, and the elders sat with him; and the king sent a man from before him: but ere the messenger came to him, he said to the elders, See ye how this son of a murderer hath sent to take away mine head? look, when the messenger cometh, shut the door, and hold him fast at the door: is not the sound of his master's feet behind him?"
Did you read these two recent verses I posted? First, Elijah told Ahab to run for shelter ere the rain (that has not come but which will come which he has heard and perceived) stops him. Imagine that! He was fulfilling this scripture.
Isaiah 42:9, "Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them."
He was fulfilling..."before they spring forth, I tell you of them."
The same was manifested by Elisha. He knew a messenger of death was coming for him even when that one was still on his way to his base. He hasn't even arrived! Due to having information before hand therefore, he puts preparation in place and escapes..
God wants to make you "seer" and "mouth" for men. You'll see, perceive and hear before hand so as to be able to declare to them what the Lord is doing (that's on the way of being manifested as tangibilities).
Begin to perceive! Begin to see! Begin to hear! Begin to understand even before the action! Events will no longer catch you unawares! Know things! Receive the mind of Christ and operate by the same!
Jesus manifested that mind. He told Peter, "let down your nets for a catch." Was it for nothing he said that? Obviously no. We knew that because we saw what became of Peter when he heeded that instruction. The same happened to that widow woman who was instructed and warned of gathering vessels in preparation for her coming harvest.
She was even given specifics - "don't gather a few vessels." That was because what God wanted to do was not minimal or small. The harvest would be terrible and much to bear in few vessels.
Jesus knew what harvest was coming Peter's way when He also instructed him to, "let down his NETS for a catch." Not one NET but NETS (all he has or uses to fish) for the harvest would be much. So, you too, release your faith! Let down your nets for a catch. A harvest is coming your way and some of you know it already. You know what that is. God is saying, "put preparation in place fully so that you can have it all lest some slip back into the waters."
Listen to God's anointed servant, the one whose mouth God has polished like the arrow's. "A harvest is coming your way!"
I say, "the season has come upon you. The season when your oil will flow without ceasing. The hour when the fishes you have looked for all the night (without sighting one) would gather for you.
You're reaping where you have failed till now and that's because it's God's Word aiding and abating you this time around. You're reaping with it the additional return of all your vain labours of the past. That's why Peter harvested fishes that could account for his last night toil yet just a catch. Just one catch!
You'll experience a return and harvest that'll complement for all past efforts and failures. It'll make you fall on your knees and worship the Lord Jesus, even like Peter did. The awe will shake you.
You'll inclose a great multitude of fishes. Your net(s) will break and your ship(s) will sink.
I hear the sound of an abundance of rain. I am hearing footsteps at the door.
I'm perceiving a harvest coming your way. Release your faith for it sons and daughters of God. Your faith will take it! Don't waver! Don't be like a double minded man. Such don't receive from God. They always lose out as they are tossed to and fro.
It's your faith that'll take what God is bringing. Let down your nets for a catch. Release all your faith. Don't withhold. Don't!
