SPIRIT THAT SEES MEN AS TREES

READ Mark 8:22-26

Mark 8:24,KJV

"And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking."

Vision is very important. A blurred vision is not very much different from no vision. A blurred vision would miss what a thing is exactly. It misjudges whatsoever it sees.

Jesus opened the eyes of a blind man and did it by spatting and then touching him. Jesus affirms if he sees after the first act of healing. The man speaks sincerely and says he is seeing men as trees!

How can someone be seeing men as trees? Obviously, that man has missed the whole picture. You can't call that seeing. If food were placed before him and it was a plate of rice,he would have taken it as a mountain. That's at the first time. To clear his vision, Jesus had to lay hands on him the second time which was the very time his sight was then restored. At that time, he sees men as they were. He didn't take them for any other thing.

This inadequacy of having a thing weaved before one and taking it for an entirely different thing is possible in the spirit. There are spirits that God communicates to but which the communication is misdescribed. He has seen a snake in his vision but his own spirit that couldn't download it adequately presents it to him as a rope. You know that the devil has gotten such. The aim of the devil is to block man from anything called divine communication. If he can't block you from it totally but makes you see wrongly, I'll say he has achieved his purpose.

Many Christians there be that are stumbling in seeing. What God presents before them as revelation isn't what they're downloading. Such spirit needs cleansing. God needs to remove the scales and debris hindering its clear vision. When vision isn't clear, description will be distorted.  When it is clear, description becomes accurate.

A spirit that is far from the things of God and has for long interacts with God shouldn't expect anything but to begin to see men as trees. Such spirit will be inadequate to capture vividly all that God may bring before it. May we all have a spirit that can describe accurately what it sees in dreams, visions, trances e.t.c. May we not be of the breed that forgets divine communication shown us.

PRAYER: Lord, cleanse my spirit man. Let it be free to detect You and devil's moves accurately.

Genesis 8:10-11,KJV

"And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark; And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth."

If they have gathered and have gathered to feast on you like before; to mock you and laugh you to satisfaction, you can be assured the table has turned. "They'll be the object of mockery now" says the Lord.

Noah sent out the dovecraft to scout if the waters has abated from the face of the earth. That dovecraft is a reconnaissance aircraft. She couldn't find a landing space let alone coming back with an evidence to proof that the waters has truly subsided or dried up. Her to and fro wasn't  profitable as expected nor with an evidence of the abated waters. Mockers might have scorned. They might have said all sort of things that the experiment isn't succeeding. They must have said "the project failed and mocked till their knees knock each other." Noah accepted fate that the water has not dried up, stretched forth his hand and fetched the instrument of his experimentation into the laboratory. Noah isn't angry at the unsuccessful programme. He is neither angry at the dovecraft but rather receives her to himself and seeks trying next time.

After some time, Noah who will never give up despite the first failure puts on another experiment. He sent out the dovecraft again.  What would become of this again? Meanwhile, something has changed. The waters has abated off the surface of the earth. For this reason,the dovecraft picked an evidence to support its claim as it goes back to the base. The dovecraft went with a proof that's tangible enough to silence anyone who will doubt or raise questions about the abated water. It was a freshly plucked olive leaf.

Look at me now. Who are the ones expecting another fall or failure of yours? Who are the ones  anticipating this recent pregnancy of yours to come down like the other one? Failure! All of them have missed the point this time around. The anointing is superintending over your matter now. Tell them that the waters has abated this time around and you won't but return with evidence of a successful journey. This new pregnancy will become a child living amidst us. It is not like other times. Even Jesus Christ wasn't terminated in his mother's womb nor delivered by Caesarean section.

Those of you that have failed in businesses, came back with debt and are shy launching into another one because of the fear of the outcome; be assured that the opposite result is what will now be generated.

I declare that you receive evidences and proofs of the journey you're taking (to and fro) and the transactions you will do. 

PRAYER: Lord, abate the waters for me. Make me return with proofs of transaction. Where I've known failure before, may I be successful.

TO THE END THAT PEOPLE MIGHT BELIEVE

John 1:7, KJV

"The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe."

The work of a witness is to testify of something or somebody. John isn't the true light but he bears witness to that true light. All Christians have a call to be witnesses of our Lord Jesus Christ even to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8).

We're to testify of Him and preach the gospel. God's intention is that through us others might believe. That's why it's impossible for people to hear or believe in the gospel without a preacher of the good news.

Romans 10:14, KJV  

"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?"

So, it's a privilege being a witness actually! John bears witness of Jesus. John didn't come to speak of Himself. He came to do Jesus honour by pointing people's attention to Him, His worth and His ministry. There is a kind of estimation that John gave to Jesus' ministry that made people cut off from John to be with Jesus. When John started witnessing and speaking in admiration of Jesus and His ministry, people left his (John's) ministry to join Jesus'. 

John 1:36-37,KJV

"36And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!  37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus."

John witnessed of the true Light. He didn't turn the flashlight on himself. Ahead of time, he had told the truth without denying it that  "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:" (Matthew 3:11,KJV).

He told them "there is One amidst you whom you know not." That One amidst them is Jesus Christ who has the better ministry of fire and Holy Ghost baptism. You will agree with me that the witnessing of John led some people into believing in Jesus and His ministry.

So also, we're to witness. The witnessing I'm talking about is not only preaching the gospel but rather liking and giving good comments to what somebody has said or has written. Let's assume you hear a minister's sermon and you were blessed but didn't keep it to yourself but rather witness the things in that sermon to someone and tell people from whom you've heard such things that are powerful; do you know you've done something? Somebody could become a member of that denomination or ministry just like that. When you speak of the miracles, signs and wonders you saw; you'll be working on people's hearts to create interest in that minister whom God is using. Witnessing is what gives anyone disciples. A man that's ill spoken off cannot have disciples. A product ill spoken off can't have users. A dirty reputation won't gain followers. You will see that throughout that chapter that chronicles John's witnessing, he elevates and speaks of Jesus in high and respectful words. He agrees He is the better one with the ultimate power.

It's like reading a writeup online and liking it and commenting. Comments like "I'm blessed; indeed, this is teaching" etc will quickly draw men to wanting to read that same writeup. There will be curiosity to tap into what has blessed some people. However, that writeup might have been bypassed if it had not been liked or good witnessing made about it. Now that some people have witnessed of it, it seems to be more genuine, powerful and one that people can relate with or trust. They'll want to believe in the testimony of two or three. Is that not how you witness and make people join your network business and patronize you? Your intention was to speak about that system until some people believe in that risk. 

Don't withhold your likes, good comments because they will all be witnessing and when it does, you will draw men to believe. Now, imagine if somebody gets blessed through your witnessing about a church, ministry, minister or sermon that you call powerful. Don't you think you'll have a reward for bringing a member either to the kingdom or to what God is doing. 

Through John's witnessing, all men believed. May you also be a witness of good things so that through you people might believe. The intention of witnessing is to the end that people might believe. So, be a witness of good things. 

PRAYER: Lord, teach me to be a witness of good things that through me all men might believe in Jesus Christ and what you're doing on earth.

HAS ZEAL DIE IN YOU?

John 2:15 -17, KJV

"15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;  2:16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.  2:17 And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up".

There is love of the beginning. There is strength of the beginning. There is zeal of the beginning. There is concentration and focus of the beginning. 

When you get a new job, you quickly want to prove you're capable. How do you work therefore? Like a ravenous wolf. When you first meet to court, how did you relate with your beloved? Never tired. Always calling. Always caring. Always there for him or her 24/7. That's the nature of man. He may not reserve the best for the end. For those who have taken on divine nature, the testimony should rather be. 

John 2:10, KJV

"... Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now."

It's better if the testimony about you is that you increase and not diminish in what you've started doing. Some will take off like a jumbo jet but will end up going on like the first generation train.

Thermometer is used to measure temperature. With what are we going to measure your zeal level now? If zeal is dying in you, you will know. You will no longer be driven by purpose like before. A sort of tolerance has entered your soul and coasting along or doing it little little is now your song. Do you know how many enemies of the church has unleash abuse and criticisms on Jesus for having exhibited violence in today's passage? Many have called him the "impatient, violent, intolerant man" but how did God view him? "The zealous man". I found out that the objective (why) for doing a thing is more judged than how it's done. Why did Jesus do what He did? To restore His Father's house to the intention of God. Whenever you're accused of doing a thing wrongly but which is born out of the right motive, God has you judged right though men may judge you wrongly. 

The zeal of God's house consumed Jesus. One of the things that any adult can easily lose is zeal. Adults have tasted love. Some have had many relationships. Their fingers have been burnt before. Some have even divorced while some are single parents now. Anyone with experiences that are bitter described above may find it difficult believing in love again. Let's assume a jilted lady is going into another relationship, how do you think she'll begin to relate with this just found man? She'll do it with caution and all carefulness. She'll do it with "I won't give my whole self in case I need to pull back. So I won't be so disappointed, I won't first give all". She'll want to observe and observe before she would begin to respond. One of the people that's difficult to win their trust again in love matters are those whose fingers have been burnt. Compare her with another lady that has not tasted and gone on adventure of love before. You'll see that this other lady will be saying to her man "you're the best thing possible that has happen to me".  She'll start with a kind of trust and believe in love that the former lady won't have. There will be enthusiasm, commitment and importantly, passion will be sweeping them along like a flood.

What are the ingredients of God that have decrease or have been leak out in you? This include the first of anything in your life. This includes your first love, commitment, zeal  etc.

Revelation 2:4 , KJV "Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love."

You may have vision but if there's no passion, you won't be able to drive it. Just like great ships are driven by fierce wind, so also are visions driven by a corresponding passion or energy. Don't let anyone whose passion for what he is doing has died put you to check or quench yours. Derogatory statements, mockery, accusation e.t.c. are few that quench passion. There are those that will mistake your passion for other things. Passion can easily be taken for wanting to be noticed. Just despise the so many comments and pour yourself into what God has ordained you to do. For you to go more than inches in this life, you need a catalyst. I call it the hard driver. It is otherwise known as zeal, energy or passion. Visions are sailed by it. Even when there are hurdles on your way and you have passion, you'll not give up. As long as encouragement has not die in you, you will finish strong.

PRAYER: Father, what are the first ingredients I started with but which I've lost now, restore them into my life. Fill my wineskin with wine and my spirit and soul with burning zeal.

PLEASING GOD SERIES 003

YOU HAVE BEEN CALLED TO SPECIALIZE: The Call On Your Head - Pleasing God Series 003

Happy New Month!

Our full of sap Bible verse says, "when a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him (Prov. 16:17)."

Why there's still headache is because you've still not understood this place. You have done exchange of duties and you want God to take dressing and agree with your new rule.

God is not calling you to do everything stated in that verse neither is He calling you to do the strongest stated there.

"Making your enemies be at peace with you" is the strongest. God says, "that's mine to take care of" while yours is "to please me." When you take care of God, God takes care of your enemy.

"Pleasing God" which to many people's minds is the difficult is actually the easiest duty to play by man. Why? ...because our pleasing God is by faith and not by works!

Hebrews 11:6, KJV

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

To our shock and that of He that sits on the circle of the earth, people are however seeking, trying, sacrificially engaging and painstakingly involving themselves in rigorous activities to convert and make their enemies be at peace with them.

So, they call him; acknowledge her birthday, send her gifts, hint him of their having food he can eat; make themselves inferior to him/her yet all these human sacrifices coming from logical thinking has not gotten them the desired peace or reunion they're dying for.

Instead, they infuriate this fellow the more. Then, they stop and question why they're not getting the desired result since they've done all the good they know to win the approval of such and such fellow.

God said I should tell you that you can't convert or win anyone by the multitude of your good or goods. No one has ever saved any human being from sin and his very self by offering himself. Only Christ does that!

God is saying, "handover to Me." Let Me convert your enemies. Though they're tigers, they'll begin to eat grass like sheep soonest after the work of God might have been wrought over them. You'll be shocked that these foes of one time would freely come to seek your hands in friendship. 

Don't think you have skills, education and stratagems to draw attention of your enemies towards you. That's why the more you seek to impress them, the more you depress them.

Stop doing God's work. Don't out of what you think is comfortable of the two tasks desire to trespass to do what God outlined to be His to do. Stick to your specialization. That's when you'll know true result.

May your enemy not only eat your food, collect your money, use you and your resources yet without loving or being at peace with you.

But if you'll give this work to God today, you'll be challenged to see what it means not to contest with a professional like God who's versed in converting people's enemies, even the hardest of them to be their friends. Saul was the enemy of the church breathing slaughter against it. This God Who knows His job to do met him and this same Saul became friend and advocate of what he was afore killing.

Don't touch that dial! God is the CONVERTER not any man!

RAVISHED WITH LOVE

Proverbs 5:19-20, KJV

"19 Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love. 20  And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?"

"Ravish" is a word that insinuates and expresses some form of misbehaviours. To be ravished with your wife isn't sin. The Bible has said let each drink water from his own cistern. What God is against is you being ravished, transported, delighted and carried away by another woman's love. We now have many men whose wives can't command their attention again. They've been drawn after another woman apart from the one they tied the knot with. It's this woman described as strange by the Bible that they now call often and express affection to daily in confession of how much they've been held in her stronghold. All these ought not to be to her but one's wife. 

The bedroom is a place for ravishing. In love or the making of love, ravishing or being ravished is an associated word. I had told someone that if we were allowed into the secret lives of many people we respect and esteem as spiritual, we would wonder if they are at all. He asked why. I said, "because no one is excluded from being ravished with a woman's love." If you see what some men does when they're ravished by love in the secret, you won't see them as gentle outside or spiritual. Sex brings ecstasy and a sort of behavior on the man and woman.

Sex is ecstatic and it could be. If you ever see animals, a male pursuing to have sex with the female, you'll understand ravishing from that analogy. The fact there is a male who has lost all senses. What matters to it at that time is sex. Until then, the fire and energy in him won't be doused. To those who are married, when you're caught in this ecstasy, you'll agree that even the bedroom may not be the place where sex could be done. It could be done anywhere because of the immediate demand that has come for it at hand.

Being ravished is a good sign of still being in love with one's spouse. If you're married and your spouse especially the male is no longer crushed, ravished and delighted to pursue love affairs with you, then we can conclude that his love for you is dwindling down.

Ravish or being ravished by someone's love is clearly portrayed on the first sexual act of a married man with his lady after wedding. The man would do it with zeal and does so as if that's all that life is all about. A ravished man is a man that has been consumed by the lady's love to the extent that the lady's consumption of her is now controlling him. A ravished man is one that would consider the woman intricately and sigh that God indeed has made her a wonderful fellow for him. He can't but continually express his awe and wonder. This wonder is off course what spurs him into the ecstasy of being quick, in haste and uncontrollably passionate to explore the woman and be satisfied with her. 

When love is burning between couples, ravishing is high. For ravishing could also mean to destroy. It means utterly vanquishing a thing but in this case, the woman. A woman is just like a city to be conquered by the man. The man is just like a general or a warrior.

I pray for you that wherever ravishing has been replaced by sluggishness and reluctance in sex in your marriage, God will refire you. When fuel is poured into fire, it blazes the more. May you become more passionate in love and in sex. It is one major way by which couples bond if they don't want a big gulf to be between them. Today, let your love be on fire. May the thought that enters your mind as couples be that of your partner. May her beauty, figure and everything consumes you.  May she delights you and be attractive always to call your attention to ravish her and be ravished with her love.

PRAYER: Lord, new wine in my home. Set my love ablaze for my spouse. New concentration, new delight, new joy.

SECURITY AT ITS MAXIMUM

Joshua 6:1, KJV

"Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in."

You can take chances but you ought not to. You can't tempt God. You can't take things for granted and think of getting the best out of life. Life is lived to the fullest by those who bring special attention to it. 

Thoroughly furnished preparation can give you success. What is facing you can be prevented from conquering you if you have received ahead of time a basement of strengthening qualities in you. Israel came against Jericho but Jericho wouldn't surrender like that. To defend themselves, they closed their city gates with a description that shows their unwillingness to be conquered. That's the only opening to their city. No other space is in their city wall.

"Strait" means tight, close, tight-fitting. A thing that's tight-fitting has leaned down people that could enter. It has even shut down entrance. That is, Jericho didn't take any chance. They gave Israel no ground or advantage to get through to them. Another place in the Bible where the word "strait" was used with a very close relation to our matter here is:

Matthew 7:13 - 14, KJV

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

What you need to know is that military leaders and commanders of forces are strategists. They can deflate and bring to damnation a whole city by just a crack in the armour or an exposure thereof; which is why Jericho blocked all such opportunities against Israel. All they needed is just a thing to leverage on to confound their enemy. How I wish you'll become Jericho that is not willing to give an inch of his land to intruders. Has the Bible not spoken in Romans 13:14, KJV that "but put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof." It is what you make provision for that can be fulfilled. It is what you give handles to that will creep into your life. Some are making provision for the enemy. David didn't go to battle at the time kings lead battles. He eventually made provision for sin. He entered into what made the sword not to depart from his house (II Samuel 11). Some are making ground for poverty. He's always spending like a spree when he could begin to make bricks for a house.

Make no provision for your opponent. Satan goes all around prowling, looking for whom to devour. Those he will see to devour are those who didn't close their gates tightly. I don't mean being holy but being very holy. I don't mean praying but always praying. Jericho just didn't close their gates, they did very well without leaving even the slightest space that an animal could have entered through.

Today, I'm hearing in my spirit God telling me to give you an instruction for your continuity. That's to take things very very seriously. To handle things straitly: without space or advantage for the enemy to leverage on. To handle things in such a way that even other Christians would tell you "yours is too much". Christian life should be lived in such a way that even the devil would not have a thing to accuse you of. Blamelessness is your goal. Occupy everything. Defend your ground against invaders.

PRAYER: May I be thorough. I make no provision for the flesh. I won't assist Satan against my life
