SPONTANEOUS TEACHING

ABUNDANCE AND HOW TO USE IT DISGRACE FAMINE

There's no one that God won't do for. How you use your blessing is however the matter that matters. Two prostitutes that Solomon divided between had a child each. One slept on hers. The other kept hers alive. Later in time, the bereaved mother envied the blessed one. The choice resides with you to retain or exhaust your blessings. What do you say to that?

There are those that exhaust their own at God's visitation and the turning of the season to their favour. Like the prodigal son, they'll jump for joy and be lost in the euphoria of having possessed it. They'll therefore begin to take journeys to places, even new places for adventure and a feel of heaven on earth under the disguise that they only have one life to live. If you have only a life to live, you ought to preserve it and not spread it vulnerably. You however have a predecessor.

When the prodigal son  also possessed it, he tied all together and took a journey to a far country. A place where no one would know him. A place where he could chop life without suspicion or doubt of being watched by familiar eyes. There, he spent all until he began to be in want. Season is seasonal you know! When you're in your season of abundance, don't blow it up. The tendency that famine will visit is high.

What you must know is that famine do follow abundance. It did in Egypt but they escaped it through a Joseph's wisdom. It was so thorough as predicted that they forgot they once had abundance.

Genesis 41:29-30,KJV

"29 Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt: 30 And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land."

After abundance, famine often do come to check your preparation and wisdom level. So that you won't repeat the experience of the prodigal son, always keep a remnant. It was after this spendthrift had exhausted all that famine peeped out to put in his mouth 'O God!'

Luke 13-14, KJV

"13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. 14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want."

Did you see that? Famine don't visit when abundance is at hand. It comes after, just like regret follows after an act. After exhausting all, it then came on him like dew falling upon Mount Hermon. Look, if you're in the season of abundance now, God wants you take caution and be serious with savings and investment. If you have a job, receives allowances from somewhere or comfortable financially; your thought should be how to establish yourself against the days of dearth. It will come. The wise will hear and become wiser. The simple will hear and take action. However, before it springs up, I tell you of it.

MORNING WINGS DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE - Olusola ADEJUMO

WHOSE TESTIMONY IS THIS?

Mark 4:37-39

Isaiah 40:2, KJV

"Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins."

When you warfare is accomplished, struggle comes to a halt. It is good to know peace. No matter how great a warrior you are, you have tendency getting wearied if you continue warfare without rest. You'll become drained, spent and then you can become a victim to your opponent. A perfect example of someone whose warfare spanned for long was David. Saul pursued him, family rivalry from his own issue pursued him. Yet, he had to fight many wars also. His hands were just so full of blood. Solomon however knew peace all around himself.

I Kings 5:3-4,KJV

"3 Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the LORD his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet. 4 But now the LORD my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent."

May you know peace. You, know peace. Be better than your predecessors in experience.

When someone's warfare is accomplished, it actually means that his war or what's like unto war in his life is settled, brought to an end or concluded.

In the reading of today, Jesus and his disciples were in the ship. He was asleep. A storm arose and the disciples were at a peril. The storm that arose was a raging storm. The kind that drifts the ship here and there and one that can easily fill the ship with water. To sink won't take time because water was entering the ship already. All they knew as fishermen to stabilize the ship didn't do. The struggle on the sea was a warfare against the raging storm. It was then they cried unto Jesus with a voice, "don't you care that we perish?" That is, they could have perished if nobody came to their help. However, Jesus did, rebuked the storm and it stopped. So, their warfare in trying to stabilize the ship on the sea came to an end. The anxiety and fear ended.  Instead of raging of the sea, they now know peace.

Look, may your warfare be accomplished. When it is, you'll have a taste of another season. You'll be transplanted from one experience where all you have tasted is unrest to another where there's tranquility. Do you think it's a blessing praying, praying, praying to have a breakthrough in an area without it coming on time. It is even worrisome if there are spirits or humans the devil is working through to hinder such.

I pray, your warfare will be accomplished. At this hour, you'll no longer reminisce about former things because new things the Lord is doing and He announces them before it springs forth. It shall be double for your trouble, sin and joy you shall know throughout.

PRAYER: Lord, let my warfare be accomplished. (Mention the area). I receive double for my trouble and delight of days for the years I've been troubled.

WILL YOU BE FOUND INNOCENT? - Side C

Read Daniel 6

Daniel 6:22, KJV

"My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt."

This was Daniel speaking to King Darius from the den of lions he was thrown into. This event was not fiction but a real happening.

Daniel, because of the excellent spirit in him was set over others and was thought to be set over the kingdom too. This was after his being promoted and ranked above all presidents and other officials. This is where hatred and envy towards him came from. Others wouldn't want that. They must have asked, "how can a non indigene arrive here and seek to substitute us?" In the bid to eliminate Daniel, they requested the king to sign that no man shall request a thing of any God or any person except Darius himself for thirty days. The king having seen the sought of estimation that would bring him did same without wondering why. It was his pride to be treated as God that really brought him the unhappiness he had in relation to Daniel's conspiracy later.

Daniel, having known this has been signed into law went to his house and prayed three times a day like he would do. Obviously, these conspirators were watching. It wasn't long they found Daniel going against the decree and requested the king to enforce the  consequence on him. It was now the king knew why they had came for the decree to be signed initially. He tried to save Daniel but all was to no avail as these conspirators held him to his words and the laws of the Medes and Persians which changed not.

Daniel was therefore thrown into the den as a last resort with a prayer from the king that his God whom he serves continually would save him. The king who had him at heart but has been manipulated and outsmarted by his conspirators couldn't sleep nor revile in the joys of kings. He rather fasted for Daniel and was up the next morning to see if Daniel was still alive or not.

He asked:

Daniel 6:20, KJV

"And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?"

Daniel in response had said, "God had sent his angels to shut the lions mouth because He has found me innocent before Himself [God] and before you, the king."

This is how the righteousness of Daniel saved him. It wasn't long when those who dug the pit for Daniel to fall into were thrown into the same den of lions. That's how their evil returned on their heads. God is for the righteous and He seeks his deliverance. Nothing interests God to see that you are of a pure heart and clean hands. As far as Daniel was concerned, it was envy and hatred that stirred his being conspired against. It was not that Daniel seek intentionally to disobey the king. He was an obedient and faithful steward that both God and the king knew to be upright in all. The reason for Daniel's deliverance was simple, "he was innocent and found blameless when inspected or searched by God."

This is a call to give God boldness and eagerness to vindicate you in trouble by having not done as said by all mouths that may rise at you. God is near to you even when persecuted or conspired against. As long as you're not guilty nor anything of the enemy found in you at inspection, you can always trust to triumph over evil.

PRAYER: Lord, when I'm searched, may I be found blameless at Your sight. I'm acquitted. All accusing tongues are judged and condemned.

PERSISTING - Learning Continuity In order to Reap The Harvest

PERSISTING

There's a devil that fights people from continuing. However, if you can continue, you'll reap its reward.

The Bible says, "even in your old age, you'll still bear fruit." A continuation on being fruitful is hinted there since fruitfulness is only associated with youthfulness.

There will be those that will stop bearing fruits at old age. Naturally speaking, one can't do much at old age but you can break that barrier and yet still be known for a particular thing at old age. You can still release albums, write books, hold seminars and conferences, go for trainings and get certified even at your old age.

As I meditated on and on, something occurred to me. While God uses those He calls. God uses those that are available as well. Do you know that some people that God called and intended they start something for him didn't continue? They began but they stopped somewhere. They didn't continue. Now, there are people who are not God's first choice in the beginning. In their weaknesses, challenges and problems, they continue doing the same thing God called some to do which they turned away from and so God has no choice but to prefer and use them as the first choice. If you don't know the Bible or lack experience, you'll easily prove my saying wrong and say I'm only trying to stir some people to jealousy or aflame.

Did you remember Judas Iscariot? He was Jesus' first choice for apostleship but because he WENT HIS OWN WAY by not continuing, God had no choice than to anoint and bring into apostleship Matthias. To all ministers who have started something, beware of going your own way!

One unfortunate thing I have found true is that you can go your own way. There's no one that God ordains a path for but journeys in/to another that praises God at day's end.

Avoid being distracted. Avoid be swerved or swayed. Like men bridle horses and capture it in obedience to do their will and walk on a path or course they'll like it take, by submission to the Holy Spirit, crucifixion of self and determination, refuse to be collected away from the way. The way here is destiny or what God has appointed you to do on earth. That one which your hand has already found doing, do it with all your might.

2 Peter  2:15, KJV

"Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness"

 Jude  1:11, KJV

"Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core."

These two places are planting the truth or possibility of going another road other than the one God ordained.

Either for gain or any other selfish reason, ensure you're not rooted from what you've started. There's a devil that hinders people from finishing strong. Stephen Farrar wrote a book, FINISHING STRONG. You can read it.  Your starting don't scare the devil. It is your persistence until the dawn breaks he wants to protest against. What you're doing may seem not to be moving, monotonous, uninteresting or lacking in support from people. Look, still continue. Just continue.

The Bible says if you're wise, you're wise for yourself. So also the child that scorns shall bear it for himself. If you continue long on this road and endures the processes of becoming great, you'll be the first who will partake of the fruits of your hands also. For that Scripture can't be broken over you which says, the husband man that labours ought to be the first partaker of the harvest. For you, you will be.

Judas didn't continue yet he was God's first choice. When first choices go away, they open the door for God to consider lesser vessels or alternatives that He'll then put His treasure into to decorate. You and I must close the door against second choices.

Those that will be saved are those that endure to the end. Motivate yourself by gazing at the joy in front. Jesus also despised the shame of the cross for the joy set before him.

By that, you won't be totally swallowed to contemplate selling your share in that company or selling that venture or relocating. Tarry there. Life answers the persistent. Work it for it's a principle that works.

Judas Iscariot had obtained a part and apostleship in Jesus' ministry. You can call that part or apostleship his share. Have you not heard of people selling out their shares before but only to see that company become a tree that birds of the air now makes nests into.  Yet, what happen to Judas' share. All was left for another to enjoy.

It was left for someone who also has been paying the price of persistence by being part of all that happen from the baptism of John, even unto Jesus' ascension. Matthias therefore entered into someone's labour. I'm afraid. I pray to you God, "don't let me leave my morning labour for another to gather and eat at night."

Let me be the first partaker O Lord! I make that my decision.

EVEN WHEN YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS BRINGS YOU EVIL - Side B

II Samuel 11:14-27

II Samuel 11:14, KJV

"And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah."

The righteousness of a righteous man can save him. Yet, the righteousness of a righteous man can bring on him evil and consequently death! Those who will be righteous will sacrifice in this life.

After David had pulled all the tricks in his hands on Uriah to get him go home and sleep with his wife but without success, David thought of the final thing to do. He wrote a letter. Banking on how loyal Uriah was, he delivered same into his hands to give to Joab. Uriah didn't suspect anything from the onset. So, he couldn't have thought it wise opening the letter. It was his very death sentence he was carrying in his own hands to the executioner. He carried the letter faithfully to Joab without an iota of curiosity sparking in his mind to peep into what it contains. If David couldn't bear him witness of being loyal, such letter wouldn't have been delivered into his hands. It was not given him for want of messengers. David was wiser than that. Only that you could describe Uriah as one to be relied on. He isn't unfaithful one bit.

Proverbs 25:19, KJV  "Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint."

This is another act that proves Uriah a man of sound character that any of us should emulate. You can trust him at his back. Eye service can't be from him. His loyalty isn't seasonal. It goes all the way and remains constant. The delivery of this letter to Joab made the will of David in this verse below come to pass over Uriah and that's how his loyalty or righteousness puts him in trouble.

II Samuel 11:15, KJV

"And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die."

What difference it would have made if Uriah had an inkling into the letter? His life could have been saved. He could have linked all the events together and then flee far away. However, we wouldn't have known him as a loyal, righteous face and hero of today that we are all jealous for.  For every good act you do, you're enrolling your name into the hall of fame of those to praise and hail for such. If it is otherwise, you shall live to be remembered for same. Uriah died and what he most cherished which was his all in all was collected from him, yet both Joab and David knew they killed a righteous man just like some people planned to kill Jesus, the author of life. They knew they had taken the life of who never seek them for evil.

Look at me, it is better you die a hero than die a villain practicing unrighteousness through being amended to join them. It is unfortunate if a lion refuses to die in his pride but dies as a dog. As for Uriah, he died but he died head above his shoulders. He died as a warrior who did his country proud. He died gallantly. How did Joab later die? From this singular event, can you total all evils that God used to recompense David and say it is little?

Oh no! Righteousness pays even when it is not reasonable to practice. This is a notice from God to you to suffer for Him even as much as you'll like to be known with Him. I pray for all that are being persecuted for righteousness' sake, may God divinely vindicate you. If however it will bring death, may you not have soiled your garment. It is better for one to be searched with no iniquity found in him. Please, maintain your good record.

PRAYER: Lord, teach me the practice of righteousness. Save those persecuted for righteousness' sake and grant many courage to face persecution unto death.

THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF A MAN WILL DELIVER HIM - Side A

Read II Samuel 11:1-13

II Samuel 11:10, KJV

"And when they had told David, saying, Uriah went not down unto his house, David said unto Uriah, Camest thou not from thy journey? why then didst thou not go down unto thine house?"

Tell the righteous that his righteousness will save him. When you are righteous and continues being righteous, there is one reward it can bring you on earth. That is to save you.

In today's reading, David in the bid to cover his sin of adultery which has manifested as a child devised to bring Uriah back home. His plan was that if Uriah goes to his house, he would have affairs with his wife and this would make him the father of a bastard child. He wanted to cover his sin by planning deftly after this manner.

Did it succeed? No. The righteousness of Uriah wouldn't allow him to be such cheap prey for David's strategy, though at his back. Loyalty saves him. Hear today's model speak.

II Samuel 11:11, KJV

"And Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this."

Though an Hittite, he wouldn't be unpatriotic to the land that has become fatherland to him. While other comrades struggle out with the enemy and barely survives in the open country, should he be then comforted? This man is fit for leadership. He'll never take advantage of situations to the disadvantage of others nor exhibit selfishness. He's an advocate of fairness to the core who always look not unto his ways but that of others. Having being touched by such patriotism and loyalty to the throne which he couldn't deny, David then proceeded to the plan two of making him drunk in order to still protect his reputation. Yet, Uriah was resolute even in his drunkenness. He didn't go home. What was normal for him to do was to go home and drink water from his cistern before departure back to the battle they don't know when it would end, but not this one. You can't just trap him that easily. He has practiced righteousness to an extent that it's no longer a big thing for him to live sacrificially and to his personal detriment. It was not that he didn't care for his family or that he was not a wife lover like any of us, however he ranks principles above emotions.

Your own righteousness can as well save you. In the work place, amidst friends, in that relationship etc, righteousness pays. Loyalty to the party involved matters. You'll see at the last day how this same righteousness will bring you untold reward that would make you exclaim for good. When they plan a trap for your feet, unknowingly to you, you'll be scaling it by your practice of righteousness. Uriah didn't have an inkling that it was a trap. He was only living his daily life of being faithful. Because of your righteousness, all that plans your downfall will be found to be hatching cockatrice eggs and weaving the spider's web. Their webs shall never become a garment neither will they cover themselves with their works (Isaiah 59:5-6). The mouth of the Lord has spoken.

PRAYER: I release Isaiah 59:5-6 to work against all planning me evil. I escape traps. My loyalty shall save me in any relationship or congregation of men.

THE INPUT OF THE LORD

THE INPUT OF THE LORD

Let me enter by saying, "may God not suffer us with His input."

There's a thing like the input of the Lord. His input is what He only has to give. It is His own donation. It is what He only authors. You can't acquire the input of the Lord from another quarters except from the Lord Himself with whom this input resides and stems from. If we could possess this input from somewhere, we would immediately stop gazing at God. He however becomes the centre of attraction because of this thing that resides with Him only. This is how He makes Himself important to us and we dependent on Him.

The input of the Lord? How without you we're nothing. What shields the wise from being labelled a fool is this input. What makes a prophet one is this input. If God should have any reason to prove that His input is what validates man's input, He'll quickly withdraw Himself from such, stand aloof somewhere with folded arms to see what becomes of such with his education, oratory, good looks [what he has to offer] etc. Then, you'll see that prophet speaks without the fulfilment of his prophecies for it is God who makes prophets prophets. If he speaks and God delights to bring his words to pass, God will cause happenings and events to happen in reality to validate him. He will order time and seasons to be swayed in the direction of his words.

Input of the Lord, I'm scared not having you in my life!

Psalms 127:1, KJV

"Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain."

They can labour to build the house. They can contribute their own quota. It is however vain input if the input of the Lord is not to it contributed. Do that not tells you our objective [building] won't become reality [a building] unless the Lord team works with us. His input is the superior that we awaits. Consider His stamp or signature that of your boss you need before you can cheque out the money though you've filled the cheque.

Samson was made to realize this at late hour when the Lord departed from him. He then assayed to do like before but to discover to his dismay the importance of the Lord's input for which he has never been grateful once. You know you can do miracles or the supernatural until you lose awe for wonder yourself and say, "that's no longer special!"

There's a thing known as the supernatural ingredient: anointing, grace or gift that aids mere men like us. These are the inputs of the Lord. A minister that God wants to shame is he that God won't give revelation that can become utterance. When he speaks, it will be dry. People won't be moved let alone stirred. Burdens won't be dissolved nor yokes destroyed. Why? The input of the Lord is wanting.

He is building (by preaching) but nothing happens that should happen for the benefit of mankind. So, men are not edified (built up). You can speak into the air or speak into people's lives. The latter is God's work to assist our nothingness as men.

If you're a parent, pray that God builds with you. Children are hard to raise without their having iota of seeds of corruption in them. But if the ultimate builder builds with you, you will be called lucky and praised for same by many later on. They wouldn't know that your labour births nothing if the Lord had not refused your wards eyes from running after vanity and seeking after leasing.

Oooh! Input of the Lord, answer me. Attend to me. For without you, I can't be acknowledged to have built or accomplish.

God, henceforth, let it be by your input. Let it be not by strength nor might. Let it rather be by your Spirit. For it is He that makes men's labour become results people can clap or call accomplishment.

Input of the Lord - I fear you!
