IN VAIN IS A NET SPREAD BEFORE A BIRD - The Sound I Hear Series 003
Proverbs 1:17, KJV
"Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird."
How many of you know that in vain the net is spread in the sight of a bird? Do you really understand what that is?
When I started with the series 001, I hurriedly made a reference to that verse in relation to what I began to teach. You see, their gathering, plan and strategy will not materialise because as soon as they cook it, the Lord Himself by His Spirit will be sending you notifications. Therefore, it shall not yield or be strong on you.
When you lay or spread a net in front of a bird, if it is not a foolish bird, that net ought not to be the one that'll trap it. The idea is this, a secret that is exposed is a frustrated and an already defeated strategy. What the Lord is doing again for you today is not to leave you in the dark but to come to you through notices. You will see and you will hear. Else, you will remain alone - without voice or sound like I said in series one.
Let's look at this in a story. Do you remember the King of Syria whose strategy and plans are always leaked to the King of Israel?
II Kings 6:8-9, KJV
"8 Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp.
9 And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down."
Do you know what the complaint of this frustrated king eventually was? He became troubled and started to ask, "which among you is for the King of Israel?" He asked this after seeing ploy upon ploy got destroyed. We know this because the Bible says, "and the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice" (II Kings 6:10, KJV).
In desperateness therefore, the Syrian King wanted to know who the mole or spy is in their midst. He needed an answer as to why all his devices and military secrets haven't worked till now. "Who's the one exposing us?" Just then, one of his servants replied him with something that hasn't allowed any of their ploy or secret to take root.
II Kings 6:12, KJV
"And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber."
Imagine knowing the mind of your enemy and the next weapon they're to fashion.
This plan and strategy of the king therefore become a booby trap. An ineffective one because the Bible explains that it was frustrated and defeated. This plot therefore fulfills the verse that we've been studying, "in vain is the net spread before a bird." It got defeated because it was exposed.
This will become your experience and the wisdom that you'll begin to live by. You will know, and that's because the Holy Spirit Himself will hint you of things. You also will not only save yourself once or twice from your knowing but the revelation of the Lord to you shall indeed be your salvation every time Satan plans to bring you down. You will not walk the road or go the path laden with traps. Escape is yours! Say with me, "in vain is the net spread before a bird. Therefore, I escape."
PRAYER: In vain is the net spread before a bird. I escape!
Jer. 28:1-29:32; I Tim. 1:1-20, Psalm 86:1-17; Prov. 25:17
