FEET AT THE DOOR - The Sound I Hear Series 002

Acts 5:9, KJV

"Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out."

Yesterday, we began by exploring the idea behind, "feet at the door." We saw Elisha saying, "...shut the door, and hold him fast at the door: is not the sound of his master's feet behind him" (II Kings 6:32).

Therefore, feet at the door heralds something yet to unfold but which is near. Feet at the door may be of good heralds or evil messengers. Feet at the door may be of those who will bless you or those who could bring curses down.

In Peter's word, "the feet of them which have buried your husband is at the door..." That is, they are just nearby, not far away, just here to attend to you as fast as you could blink.

Don't you think you can have help situated next to you this way? Don't you think whenever you cried, you could always have a foot at the door, ready to run in, seize the moment and pull you out of whatever.

If you need urgent help and there are no feet at the door, you can pass away because the idea of feet at the door talks of waiters or a help that is readily available to storm in and give their services as required.

God has given us "feet at the door" for angels when He said, "on their hands they'll bear you up lest you dash your foot on a stone" (Psalm 91:12). Before then, that verse says, "for he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways." That is, they would be commanded or have been commanded concerning you. The word, "charge" means given a command to act in a certain manner.

You see, whenever there's no intervention, quick response intervention, dashing your foot on a stone is imminent. That's why God always situate feet at the door for us.

I pray for you that for good, you won't lack feet at the door. As you age, you must have feet at the door. They should be nurses and carers. Those you'll call once and who'll flung in to attend to you. The idea of "feet at the door" speaks of servers, people dedicated to give their services to you and I pray that you will not lack such men. When you call, they will answer. Like Peter said with utmost confidence, "the feet of them which have buried thy husband is at the door and they shall carry thee out."

Peter knew that they were available and also that they were dedicated to their job. God is giving you such a quick response squad - who as soon as you need them will storm in.

PRAYER: I receive my feet at the door - dedicated help coming my way and waiting on me.

Isa. 19:1-21:17; Gal. 2:1-16, Psalm 59:1-17; Prov. 23:13-14
