CONFOUNDED AND MISLED: TAKING LIES FOR THE TRUTH! - The Lying Mouth Series 002

II Kings 7:6, KJV

"For the LORD had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us."

Yesterday, you saw how God overthrew the counsel of Ahithophel, wise and strategic as it was. David's prayer came to pass when he said, "O Lord, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness (II Samuel.15:31)." To get that done, God only had to distract them to the counsel of Hushai to counter Ahithophel's. 

Look, the best wisdom against you can be dismantled or disappointed. Experts can lose battles against you. Weapons of war can become corrupt and useless sighting you - and that's what the Lord is doing for you. 

I heard the Lord again. He's saying I'll confound your enemy and any of such as rise against you. Have you been surrounded? Are you under siege? Is a warlord, reputed for wisdom and constant victory waiting for you to announce your surrender? The Lord is saying, "it will not happen because on My hand shall I bear you up." As for you, you'll escape this mutiny, plan, assassination, plot or whatever it may be. Divine intervention is what is stepping into your matter right now. 

The Bible says Benhadad gathers all his hosts and goes to besiege Samaria (II Kings 6:24). This Syrian king is a very wise and strategic warlord. He refuses a confrontational battle where he might also lose soldiers. Rather, he chose just to surround Samaria, exercise patience and allow them to get to their breaking point, in order to force a surrender. To a very large extent, he has won the battle because the Bible says he causes a great inflation in the city to the extent that, "an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver" (II Kings 6:25, KJV). When you get where the most worthless and despised goods rank in demand, you should suspect famine is in town. 

The only thing this king waits for is for Samaria to open her gate of its own accord and say, "we surrender" and he sure pushed them to the edge of doing that before the Lord bore Samaria up from dashing their foot against a stone. Wouldn't surrender have been forced when the state has fallen into cannibalism and the king himself could do nothing about it (II Kings 6:28-29)? Do you think they would have survived it if the Lord had not stepped in? Never!

Say, "God has heard and He will appear for my deliverance." God heard at Elisha's prophecy of abundance slated for the next day. Therefore, He begins to move things into place. Guess what He does that stirs laughter in me.

The Lord confused the host of Syria. The Lord made them take the fake for reality. The Bible says, "the Lord made them hear the noise of chariots and many horses until they conclude that mercenaries have been rented against them." Nobody drew that conclusion for them or put it in their mouth. They did because God was confounding and confusing them. On that note, they forsook their devices in their tracks and fled in an unimaginable manner that left their tents as they were so that Samaria might be able to plunder it for survival. 

This is what God said He is doing. If you've been surrounded by those who will not give up unless you're done for, the Lord has taken note. He'll confuse them to frustrate them. He'll stir a caricature army and invention against them which they'll swallow hook, line and sinker as truth. You'll have been delivered, promoted and assisted before they'll ever discover they were only misled. For short, they'll take lies for the truth. So shall it be. Satan and his host shall be this confounded over your life. This is happening to those of you under siege, conspiracy or one hopeless tight corner or the other that you may be in. The hands of the crafty shall not be able to succeed in performing its enterprise over your life (Job.5:12). 

PRAYER: Lord, manifest your wisdom against siege and plots in my life.
