THE MAN WITH THE EASY ANSWERS 

Ecclesiastes 10:10, KJV 

"If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct."

There's something God is showing me through this verse. I need to let you into it also. Do you know that there's the mere hard worker who keeps knocking on the door that could have opened to him at the first attempt? When it doesn't happen, it is usually because he is living in violation of a principle, a way of life or what could give the answer that easily/readily. 

That verse says more clearly in NIV, "using a dull ax requires great strength, so sharpen the blade. That’s the value of wisdom; it helps you succeed." If you've experienced this practically, you'll know how true that verse is. Even in weeding, when your machete is blunt, you can't but expend more energy. The only wisdom to doing it easily and not getting tired out is sharpening the blade. Of course, that will give you excellent speed and ease in accomplishing the task faster. However, you can't but have whatsoever you sow if you reject this principle. It is whatever you input you'll receive as output. A blunt blade will attempt poorly. Where the effectiveness of the blade should have been delivered, you'll be caught up making up for that by more pressing or hard labour. 

Have you wondered why someone speaks and has his hearer converted/convinced? Have you ever watched someone make an altar call, with troops of people following? It's not only because God is willing to work. It may also be because of the authority they have in the spirit or the conviction that follows what they say. Conviction is not something you buy in the market. If the Lord is not giving it, you can't have it; let alone see it work with you. Conviction could also be built as you live your life before people. More importantly, it can be perceived. That Shunammite says, "I perceive this is a holy man of God who passes by us continually" (II Kings 4:9). She saw something that made her receptive to Elisha, describing him as "holy", not frivolous. 

When you say something and it doesn't come to pass but another person you know says it and it hastens to fulfillment, you ought to question why. For a Christian or a minister, while it is the Lord working in you, yet you cannot despise or neglect your fellowship with God - the very place where you can daily have your head anointed with oil and have your heart helped so that your garment can remain white. This ordinary daily living before God arms you with the equipping to open doors and get done what the mere man without your preparation, equipping, anointing and grace can't achieve. When you've been with God, you become irresistible before men. 

When you see someone trying to force people to do something, it may be that he is the wrong man for the job. You see with the right man, he'll be like a well sharpened axe, getting the job done with ease and without delays. It'll be smooth. If you don't want to go about in mockery, you'd better tarry first of all before the Lord. Do this on a daily basis. Let Him give you words that proceed from His mouth. You'll just observe that light seems to come to you often. You'll never be darkened or find yourself immersed or subdued by confusion. Whenever you need direction or to be spoken to, you'll be shocked to see God take out of what you have read, studied or heard as a tool of speaking to you. 

If you're labouring and it seems you're having delayed results, it means there's something you're missing. A man with a blunt axe obviously will expend more energy and delay longer in felling a tree than one who keeps the requirements. Do you want to eliminate unnecessary efforts? Acquire the necessary skills, tools or wisdom that governs a field or an area you're attempting to break into. 

Happy New Month! I pray for you that your things will come easily like a man with a sharpened axe. The Bible says, "if the iron is blunt, and he does not whet the edge, then must he put more strength..." Because you're equipped both with the divine and natural capabilities, you will achieve things unhindered and unfailingly this month. What will follow you this month will be smoothness, ease and speed. Say, "my things are smooth. The blade is whet."
