"And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord."
God wants you to learn submission but more importantly by prompt obedience. The Bible says there's a disciple in Damascus. To him the Lord says, "Ananias." Guess his response, "Here am I Lord."
Enough of people that God calls who don't appear. Enough of people God calls who are nowwhere to be found. God wants people who whether asleep or awake will say promptly to His call and demand, "Here I am."
You know my heart is soaked with a burden. And the burden is, "Don't get to a place where you're consistently bothered to change something or work over something in your life."
That cannot be good looking on you always. God is patient. He'll make demands on you for your refinement and so that you might walk in bigger consecration that can recommend you for bigger power and glory with Him. Be a vessel that yields on time.
There will be two ways to test this on you. One, the Holy Spirit will keep convicting you of sin, righteousness and judgement. He'll keep calling you to come and scale new spiritual heights of growth into maturity with Him.
Another way is that people around you, especially authorities and those you have submitted to will on God's behalf make demands on you too. You might want to go out as a wife and your husband might tell you, "Why is this clothe revealing your cleavage. Go and change it." As simple as that is, that's God making demands on you through a human vessel. Don't be a spouse who argues and argues until you win the argument on what you're doing that's not morally right that should be changed or outgrown.
Some men have died in accidents or setups because they refused to hear the persuasive voice of the Holy Spirit in their wives for instance. You may be a child, you may be a sibling to someone you're staying with. God will be using those authorities to make demands and enforce God's will on you. Yield! Be a vessel that yields. Be a vessel that surrenders and grows. Not out of murmuring but out of understanding that this is for your good. Refinement might look like a rebuke on your body or flesh but it'll yield the peaceful fruit of the Holy Spirit later. It'll make you look fine for the Holy Spirit's use.
The Bible says this and it's important we heed it altogether.
Genesis 6:3, KJV
"And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh..."
Did you see that? Imagine God saying, "My Spirit shall not always strive with man..."
You see, God will come for you. He will seek to reshape, refine, rebuke, correct or admonish you. Hearing is what matters. If you're not a listener, after many attempts, the Holy Spirit or even those authorities could leave you alone to your vile thinking and behavior. And I tell you, that's the road to destruction. Never get where authorities in your life don't have strength and the moral right to call you to correction. Don't hamper them! Free them and make their input something they feel wanted to contribute by how quick you yield or agree with God through them.
If a spouse continues to refute the truth that his wife or husband keeps telling, one day, that man or woman will stop telling those truths altogether. She'll or he'll just get to a place of weariness where there'll be a resolution in her heart, "Let him do whatever he likes. It's his life." Such people that are left to themselves will face hurt.
I pray that you won't be left to rot. Rather, you'll hear God and heed him. Rather, when demanded or called, you'll say, "Here I am."
PRAYER: Break me and remould me. I submit under Your mighty hands that I might be later lifted.
