COUNT YOURSELF WORTHY - Make a Search Series 002

Proverbs 25:2, KJV

"It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter."

There's one thing that fits and befits each of us - it is the searching out and doing of investigation on a matter.

God is to be praised for being mysterious. He hides things away, beckons on us to dare to find them out. Then, the Bible says, "trying to find what God has tucked away out" is the privilege given us.

If you look at the act of keeping away, it is an act that puts the one meant to search at a disadvantage because what was tucked away is no where to be found obviously. It is like gold in the earth that one would have to dig for. Digging for such is what we were told each of us is lucky doing. Instead of saying, "poor me! Look at what I have being assigned to do while bemoaning the situation." We should rather express curiosity at the sight of being told to come and decipher what lies in the darkness in the secret room of God. If your professor sets questions and tells you to crack it as a student, do you know it's a privilege being found and called to crack what your professor who's more educated and better than you in all ways has set. Should you not attack it with joy?

What befits us is the searching out of matters. Whenever it comes upon you to pray and find out something in God's heart, kindly do it without murmuring. It is your honour doing it.

If something is your honour doing, you see it as your job. You see it as what you specialize in. You see it as a thing that you know can't weary you. You just believe the riddle is yours to be solved. If I don't do it, who else would do it? The unbelievers?

God has done His part by concealing the matter. It may seem hard to people's mind and they might wonder why your Father isn't making information so available for you. To you, you don't see it as much hard work or a play on your intelligence to show you're not a brain. You rather see it as a trivial thing that won't cost you much to locate. Your enthusiast to accomplish.

What you see as an honour to do is what you avail yourself of. Imagine  someone builds a building and seeks your honour to open such for service. Would you see that as trouble? You'll see it as how much you're estimated in such fellow's mind. You'll see yourself as being counted a chief person as to be required to do such task. You'll immediately concur that you're indeed the one to do it and not another. 'I'm I not noble for which I've been called?"

It's a privilege. I say it's a privilege that God hides something away and gives mortal men the call to find it out. If an immortal hides something away, should it be the mortal that would search out? Yet, that's what God has done. He didn't commit it into the hands of angels but mere men like yourself and myself. He uses that task of finding out to esteem us as His children who should know His mind. What spirit knows the mind of another if not the spirit made anew at salvation? (John 1:12).

Today, diligently seek to know what's in the mind of your Father. This shows He is treating you as His child. What an honour to come and find out. Please, avail yourself of it.

PRAYER: Father, thanks for calling me to find out, for equipping me at New Birth to find out. I do with ease and delight.
