THOSE SAYING "SHALL I STILL HAVE PLEASURE" - I Still Have Pleasure Series 004

Genesis 18:12, KJV

"Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?"

There are those saying, "shall I still have pleasure?" Many there be who having received a word of prophecy are in doubt because they are naturally out of the race. Such is the case of Sarah.

After Abraham had shown generosity to the divine emissaries he called into his home, God gave him a Word.

Genesis 18:10, KJV

"And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him."

This became an impossibility naturally because of what this verse says below.

"11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women."

So naturally, it was impossible for a child to be born in that state both Abraham and Sarah were. Abraham is very old and Sarah has ceased doing menstruation. So, where will a child come from? As Sarah herself puts it, "shall I still have pleasure?" Since it has ceased to be with her the way it is with every woman, she doubts the possibility of ever being able to conceive. She shifts the dynamics to, "shall I still have pleasure?'

We should enquire, "have pleasure for what?" Obviously for sex. She was saying, "When last did I have sex? I don't even get gyrated or moved towards that again. I've lost the desire for sex - the only way getting a child could happen naturally."

That was the question she posed and heaven heard. According to God's Word, what happened was that she carried a son at that time of the year as said by the mouth of the Lord.

This is what the Lord is saying. Are you there saying, "Can I still walk? Can I still use my leg? Can I still do this or that? Shall I still have pleasure at 90? Can I still have the libido or exercise the potency of a man after a damaged backbone?"

Stop seeing your case as closed. Whenever the Lord appears or speaks on a matter, He shifts and reprints the affairs of men. I don't know the specific thing God did for Abraham and Sarah but I sure know that God gave Abraham the strength to still sleep with Sarah and God in no doubt revived Sarah to have the pleasure of a young lady. The Bible says, "And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb..." (Romans 4:19, KJV).

God can restore you. He restored Sarah. He did a work in her life that restored libido and sexual interest/desire back to her life. This way, the weak can say she is strong. This way, the dead can say she is alive. That is the kind of work God is doing in your life today. What is dead is being called back to work. Impossibilities are being threshed. God is saying, "At old age, you won't lose your vitality. You will still be strong, able and agile." For all those aged men and women fretted with weaknesses of old age, God is moving to heal you now. Be healed. Be restored. Receive your vitality and strength again. Have pleasure and take interest in life once more. Be young again at heart and in your body.

PRAYER: I shall not be weak both at heart and in my body. God moves to heal my weaknesses and sicknesses. I retain pleasure both to pursue my dreams and to exercise myself physically. I shall not be crippled or damaged in any way.

INTEREST: YOUR BASIS FOR SPRINTING - I Still Have Pleasure Series 003

Ecclesiastes 12:1, KJV

"Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them..."

What can you achieve without having sustained interest for it? Interest is the basis or platform on which your dreams and aspirations are constructed if they'll be fulfilled.

Sometimes ago, I chatted with one of the students I graduated in 2023. He's currently in a private Christian university in the country. I also used that means to enquire from him the admission statuses of his other classmates. One of such news that shocked me was hearing that one of her classmates, a student I as well taught had resigned from furthering her studies. I was just baffled because these were students who attended a private secondary school where a lot was spent on them. He said the girl said she would like to face business. She's an Ibo girl anyway so that might not be impossible for her to do. The sponsors run business. In my frantic pursuit to have an answer, I enquired whether it was because she had no sponsors again but the answer was in the negative.

Looking at the case and some knotty distractions that I heard now surround the girl as shared with me, I asked for her contact in order to open her eyes to the need for a tertiary education even if it'll just be a degree.

I found out that only one thing was missing - interest in tertiary education. While others were giving their best and trying multiple schools for admission, how can a 16 year old girl say she would settle down for business? I was just bewildered at what a person could become that we never saw coming.

What changed in her? What did she lose? Interest! She has come to a place where she's saying, "I have no pleasure in education again."

I could also remember the case of my own mother. My mother had shared this story with us a number of times while we were growing up in order for all her children to receive a push to pursue academically. She said she had the opportunity to be educated abroad. My mum was initially from a Muslim background before marriage. As she said, "Bro. Dauda (her uncle) had just arrived from abroad to Nigeria during one festive period." Since nobody could persuade her again to further her schooling, he was asked to do so. Calling her by her first name, he urged her to continue and that he'll be responsible for the sponsoring.

According to my mother, she refused and told Bro. Dauda she'll face trading that she had started with already. Bro. Dauda then took it further, "What about leaving the country with me?"

All these were attempts to change her mind. Despite all, my mother turned it down. She said, "she was deceived by some petty money she was earning then and the boyfriend -girlfriend relationship she was in."

At the end, my mum never got educated past Primary School - something that pains her as often as she remembers. Her pain always gets doubled whenever there are opportunities that she could have pursued with certifications if she had gone after it then.

Don't lose interest. Some have lost interest in pursuing Ph.d because the Master's they did was strenuous. Why won't it look strenuous when it was after some years of having finished undergraduate studies you were going back for study? That made it look as if you were just starting again. Look, if you won't lose your pleasure, desire, interest or inner drive to do things, you'll go far. Nobody can counsel you beyond how dead or driven you are on the inside. Your eyes might open later but it will just be too late.

May you not join the group of those saying, "I have no pleasure in them again" especially now that you're still young, having the resources and sponsors to make things happen for you.

PRAYER: I rebuke the spirit of error and deception subtly persuading me I've gotten to my destination when the bus stop is still ahead.

THE NORMAL VERSUS ABNORMAL CONFESSIONS - I Still Have Pleasure Series 002

Ecclesiastes 12:1, KJV

"Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them..."

Looking at this verse that we began to treat yesterday, you could see the normal confession that no one will chide you for if you ever confess and the one that will make people wonder if you were healthy if you were to confess.

Those are the confessions of the "old age" and the man with "the dew of youth still on him." The Bible acknowledges two seasons in that verse. It says, "Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth..." That's the youthful season of anyone's life being referenced.

It then goes on to contrast that part with another that says, "...while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them." That second part refers to your old age and mine.

Those are the two seasons in a man's life. The first, time of youth and the other, when he begins to lose pleasure and interest in life and what he once held in high esteem. That's why the title of today's teaching has been fittingly called, "The normal versus the abnormal confessions." At old age, people would confess when enjoined to participate in certain things that, "they have no pleasure in them again." While this confession is true for a grey head and can in no way wake up questions or challenge, it'll be otherwise for a man still in his youth.

Even the laws of nature do not support a youth saying, "I have no pleasure in life or its activities again." If you indeed have no interest in life, how will you pursue purpose and fulfill your destiny? That's because it takes interest in life and one's calling to exercise oneself towards becoming what God has called one to be. What you must know is that "pleasure" which we best interpreted as "interest" is the lifeline of youths. That's why they can be seen gallivanting up and down. Take this festive period for instance. How many aged men and women did you see sounding with knockouts? To them, that is childish. They probably once did that but now they have not only outgrown it but they have lost interest in such an act. Such an act cannot bring them gratification like it used to do before. It cannot put a smile on their faces like it once did. So, they literally shed it. But what allowed for the shedding is nothing but for the fact that they have come to lose interest or pleasure in doing a lot of things at that stage of their lives. So, things that once excited them seem to be out of place now.

Are you there having the confession of the aged head, saying, "I have no pleasure in life again." Any young man or woman who holds this confession is sick one way or the other. Either he has been affected by life to have come to hold another perspective of it or he's mentally ill. A young man or woman with an abundance of years before him can't suddenly say "Let me retire. I'm tired of life. I'm bored" when he's just starting and hasn't achieved anything. He can't suddenly wake up dispirited or demotivated. Rather, he wakes up with the dew of his youth and fires on. He's so interested in life that he or she could easily be distracted by it. That's why he's even the direct target of the advertisement world where the 'lusts of the flesh, lusts of the eyes and pride of life" are turned out.

Buying a designer bag may not interest an 80 year old woman like it would move a 24 year old lady. Engaging in greed, lasciviousness or immorality will not appeal to someone who already has lost his/her drive for them but for someone whose senses are still very keen - he or she will find them attractive. That's why there's a need for caution and redirection of focus. That's why that verse says, "Dedicate that moment of your keenness to God. Use it to remember your Creator by serving Him and walking in His commands." If there's nothing of such, one will just waste the time of his youth and divert interest into the wrong things that'll lead to major risks either now or later at old age.

So, while it's acceptable for any aged head to say, "I no longer have pleasure in them (that is the array of things that constitute life or living), it is forbidden for a youth to keep the same confession. Therefore, rise and fire on. Use the keenness of your senses, the dew of your youth and the strength of life you have now to become somebody while you may. Don't forget that knowing God is also a key choice. This is the time you have sharp senses to feel after Him. Now, you can give Him yourself and your time. As a matter of fact, consecrate your life to Him for His use.

PRAYER: Lord, I acknowledge you have loaded me with youthfulness. May this be used to further Your kingdom and achieve my divine purpose.

WHEN THOU SHALT SAY I HAVE NO PLEASURE - I Still Have Pleasure Series 001

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Ecclesiastes 12:1, KJV

"Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them..."

Do you mean we will all get where we will profess, "I have no pleasure in them." That period is no other but a time when what charmed no longer does. At such a moment, things basically lose their spell on us and it seems we no longer feel experiences deeply and strongly like before. At such natural stage of man, he begins to die and return.

Here's Solomon sending a warning on the need for us to maximize our youthfulness. Solomon admonishes us to "Remember our Creator in the days of our youth..."

Then, he emphasized, "while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them."

The evil days and the years that draw nigh with the confession of "I no pleasure in them" refer to old age. At old age, activities lose their cords with which they have held us bound for years. Your senses to start with will diminish in potency. The “pleasure” Solomon refers to in its entirety includes physical vitality, sensory enjoyment (sight, sound, taste), sexual desire, independence and courage, enjoyment of life itself. Solomon was making a point when He said, one will get to a place where one loses interest in general activities of life that one once lived actively to rejoice in. Then, you'll hear, "Let the young continue. It's their own time." The reason for such an attitude or statement was then given, "because man goes to his long home..." (Eccl. 12:5).

It therefore becomes a subject matter of interest to me to consider "interest" and the role it plays in our lives. What happens to a man who still retains a "burning interest or desire" - the very thing KJV called "pleasure?" My prayer for you is that you will not lose interest in life. Anybody who loses interest in life to start with is such who commits suicide. When people who still have long years ahead of them, even to correct whatever mistake they've made claim their own lives, then it could be said that they have lost interest in life. Wherever there's interest, desire or pleasure, there's always a present fire to continue to pursue. Giving up or casting in the towel is a sign of having been dispirited or of losing interest. If you do not have your interest doused, then you can still go on to achieve what you couldn't achieve last year. 2026 affords you with a new page to write on.

Don't forget what Solomon said in that opening chapter. It says, "Remember now thy Creator in the days of your youth when the evil days come not nor the years draw near when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them." Solomon is saying, "aged people naturally lose interest in life and its busyness." That's why they no longer bother on acquiring the latest of gadgets. What freaks you doesn't move them again. The reason is not because they aren't flesh and blood as you are but because they have lost interest in those things that used to appeal and trouble the senses. Degradation has happened to their senses for sure. They can't feel, hear, see or taste like before. As such, their admiration and interest also reduces over this world's affairs, goods and their pursuit.

That's why I prayed earlier that you won't become tired. You don't necessarily have to grow old before you have the confession of aged people who say, "I have no pleasure in them." Many youths are already tired, fainting and collapsing on the road. My prayer is that you will have pleasure in what you should still retain pleasure for. May you still burn after life, taking it by its horns to discharge the will of God in the time you have to live - having your strength intact.

If you've been jilted, betrayed or broken from a relationship before, you might have gotten where you no longer have pleasure or interest in trying or doing that business again. There are people who have vowed they'll never remarry because they were hurt from their previous marriages. Such have come to the state of these aged humans who are only expecting their departure to their "long home." Nothing best describes them than, "I have no pleasure in them" again.

Have you seen anyone that has lost interest? He cannot sprint or attack a goal. He'll rather tell you to let it go. Your interest and desire must be alive still in 2026, greatly than before. You need it to do life and wage a good warfare. If you're not disinterested in life, living and following still, then I don't need to see a vision before telling you you'll surely make it. Why? The Bible says, "There's hope for a tree if it be cut down that it will sprout again. Though the roots wax old in the ground..., yet it shall bud up at the scent of water" (Job 14:7-9).

At the sight of the right opportunity, the appearance of divine coincidence and timing and in the presence of the right resources, you can't but bounce back and make a big catch. Stay in the fight! That's what will happen to you. If you won't pack up to resign and resolve that you wouldn't make new attempts again, then you can't but achieve big. Only those without dreams again don't breathe or live actively by keeping interests alive in themselves. If you carry a burning desire or expectation, it will not only keep you awake; it will keep you active. God is saying, be especially interested in this year. Be especially interested in doing good. Let interest - desire be stirred in you to live actively and to the fullest. Don't be like those waiting for their final bus to their "long home" - grave. If there's life, there's hope. If you won't lose your interest or say, "you have no pleasure in pursuing your dreams again', I bet it with you that you'll make it.

Don't give up. Has church or we ministers of God disappointed you? Don't lose interest in God. Else, you won't be able to pursue Him nor seek to know Him. You have to keep interest alive. That's when you can float like a balloon in water. All those without interest will sink into the water like led. Keep interest alive and all things become achievable for you. As a matter of fact, that's when you can see doors all around and where doors are not.

PRAYER: I am inflated anew. Nothing deflates me. I refuse to be dis-spirited. I entered this year 2026 as a giant: able and potent to achieve. I shall not be demotivated. I go in this my revealed might.

MORNING WINGS DAILY DEVOTIONAL - Olusola & Oreoluwa ADEJUMO

FURNISHED, PREPARED AND HANDED OVER

Luke 22:11-12, KJV

"11 And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?

12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready."

What explanation can we give to the experience here? How can someone walk up to you, ask you where you have prepared for an inhouse meeting he wants to host and you in your right senses deliver the key to him without having closed a deal with him afore time?

I told someone, "God is our mouth. He speaks to the hearts of people on our behalf and then ministry becomes easier." A minister cannot go around begging people to have 'mercy' on him. But he can cry to God who will instruct men to receive him and open a spot to him when he comes. That's exactly what happened to Jesus here. His ministry enjoys mercy at no cost. Ministry became fun because He was led.

Jesus is a fully led fellow. Leading will give you everything including your provision. Jesus only paid for a few things with money and at those times or that time, the money was supernaturally provided for (Matt.17:24-27, John 12:6, John 13:29). The provision came supernaturally, not from savings or labour. That tells me something, money is not ultimately what I always need to meet my needs. Why?

If today I wanted to organize a meeting in Ijebu Ode because God is sending me there and I needed a venue, God can send me to a place where He has sovereignly prepared as our venue. We may not have the money for rent at hand by ourselves. We would have confessed that to the Lord and He knowing how to meet our needs could either send us someone to pay for it or have it yielded up to us for free. Don't think it's impossible. If it were impossible, it wouldn't have been written in the Bible. If it were impossible, it wouldn't have happened to a lot of us. I've experienced God's provision this way even in a foreign land. People had taken me in, met my needs and treated me as their son yet didn't know me before. As a matter of fact, there was nobody to testify of me to them. Despite that, they opened their door to me. The one which baffled me most was this man called Pa. Joseph who took me in while I was in Katsina town, Katsina State. He had two daughters, lived in a room and parlour self contain that was barely enough for his family. He rather struck a deal with another Christian brother who lived in the neighborhood in whose house I often slept every night after taking dinner at his house. Imagine the mile he went for me.

They asked Jesus, "where will you have us prepare?" (Lk.22:9). Then, He began to speak.

Luke 22:10-12, KJV

"10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.

11 And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?

12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready."

Imagine this! It was not even an ordinary room. It was a LARGE UPPER ROOM - the kind that people will want to have for themselves. Despite how roomy and ventilated it is, it was waiting for its possessor. Jesus didn't take custody of that property for weeks or months. It was only for a day but even at that, it was released. Yet, Jesus had never met that man to discuss or falsely plan things out with him. Even the disciples only obeyed and trusted Jesus and they found it so. How God wants us to trust Him when He leads us. If for everything - programmes and events you'll do, you let it be God's initiation, it won't be hard for God providing for what He has initiated. A whole upper room, furnished and made ready was yielded up for Jesus' use and even without a pay. What a God! Meaning, if we'll find out, there's a place God has designated for each of our needs to be met. At one time, God kept money in a mouth's fish just to meet Jesus' needs. At this time, it was a man He sent Him to who has a room ready for him. That man could have turned people away who wanted to rent that property because he was feeling for its coming purpose. That man will not argue but rather yield to them that which God has afore spoken or convicted him about. That's the story of how a well furnished house was yielded to Jesus as it was. When this man was cleaning, furnishing or probably renovating that place, he might not know to what end until God told him about it. But at day's end, to what end arrives.

That's why for a Christian, money is not everything. What you want are your needs met. If when you're hungry, needing a shoe, a phone, wanting to pay your school fees etc; someone always appears to give you that which you need at that material time, how much money will you touch or have to hold? You'll just see you're progressing without necessarily holding or hoarding money for a need that'll pop up. That's why you can trust God for your needs that will pop up. You can enjoy a service or buy goods that don't need to be necessarily taken care of by you. This principle and faith life is so effective in Jesus' life that even at His death, it was someone who came to beg for his corpse, laying it to rest in his own newly dug grave (Matthew 27:57-60). Jesus unlike some men who'll make plans for their funeral - what cloth/clothe they must be buried in, how and where etc didn't do any of those. He knows His life is a project in God's hands. If He has appeared on the human scene at the right time and He is not missing His time in the scheme of things, then the right man will show up at the right time to take care of Him and so it was throughout.

This Year 2026, God wants you to stick to His plans for you. He'll lead you so finely that you'll wonder what has changed that had not been before.

PRAYER: Lord, I submit to Your leading and leadership. I enter into everything you've planned for me that I might fulfill age long prophecies written about me.

MORNING WINGS DAILY DEVOTIONAL - 25/12/2025

THURSDAY - 25TH DECEMBER, 2025

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

MORNING WINGS DAILY DEVOTIONAL - Olusola & Oreoluwa ADEJUMO

LEFT AS IT WAS: THE BREAKTHROUGH OF MASSIVE PROVISION

II Kings 7:7, KJV

"Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life."

I just heard, "left as it was." Listen, people will leave things behind for you. They'll reserve things just for your needs. They'll leave it as it is for you. They'll leave their room, house, car, business as they are for your profitability and meeting of purpose under God. They'll say, "Bro./Sis, can you take over in my absence? Can you make this yours? Can you have this?"

They won't need to take or subtract anything out of it. If they do, the Spirit will convict them saying, "Return it. It has to be left as it is. The new owner stands before you."

That's what you'll enjoy henceforth. Which story do I bring you today? Let's see what the Holy Spirit has to say about that word He's declaring. He's showing me a place.

II Kings 7:6-7, KJV

"6 For the LORD had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.

7 Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life."

What does the Bible say they did upon hearing that noise? "They fled and left their tents, horses, asses, even the camp as it was..."

That's where that declaration came from. Look once more, where necessary for the fulfillment of God's assignment and purpose "people are going to leave their properties for you as it is." It may be people relocating abroad or those God has blessed but moving onto a larger inheritance etc but what I know is that at this time, people are yielding up their properties for God's use.

Where it is needed, God will make demands on people to yield up what is theirs for your sake. It took God nothing to do that for Samaria. Samaria was at the edge of being totally broken and surrendering but there was a turn around. The man of God prophesied plenty for a specific time of the next day and God had to move to disallow His words from falling to the ground. If not, Samaria would have fallen (as the capital city of Israel) - the Northern Kingdom

So, God did the unthinkable. He made the Syrians (who had come to lay siege and who had created a famine through the same siege) to hear the noises of chariots and of horses. It was such a noise that the Bible describes it as, "the noise of a great host." The miracle is that they interpreted it wrongly. They mistaken it for the King of Israel having hired against them the Kings of Egypt and the Hittite. Caught with fear, they took flight.

What baffles me is that they left all their beasts of burdens which could have hastened their escape for running on foot. They were so scared that no one thought of that. What came on them was terror. Outright terror wherefore they arose and fled for their lives - living the entire camp and the provision they have stored for themselves as it is. It is this that was later discovered by the four lepers, announced to the King and looted by the hungry/dying people. So, the Word of the Lord came to pass (II Kings 7:16).

I pray for you, you'll inherit people where necessary. God does that for His purpose. Do you know you can inherit a whole library of someone? The old man will just call you in having found your passion for reading to have all he has gathered from the days of his youth. If the books are majorly Christian literature, it may mean you have a future in Christian service and that's one of the means God wants to use to reinforce your training. I pray for you, you'll reap after people. You'll harvest their labour. When necessary, God makes that happen. It happens only as He sees needs. God knows how He brought Samaria out of famine. He also knows how He'll take care of you especially if he is sending you somewhere. That reminds me of one minister in Ondo State, Nigeria who's living in a fully furnished house he didn't build. How? When God sent him there for ministry, his arrival time coincides with the relocation of a couple abroad. Finding he's a minister and having been witnessed to, they yielded the entire house to him as it is. The day you will have a car, it may be unplanned. The fellow will just yield it to you, taking only his personal belongings like diary and phone. Whenever it's to serve God's purpose, uncommon things can happen.

The one experience that'll mark and dott your life as you go into Year 2026 is that, "people will leave/yield things (their things) up for you as it is." Shockingly, if that thing needs a repair, they'll bear the responsibility and still have it sent to you as brand new. While I was on campus, needing a room as I planned relocation from where I was previously. A fellowship brother but who was a set ahead of me asked if I could come and occupy his room as he was leaving school. He not only left the house as it was for me. He paid for my rent in advance. Till today, many of the ties I inherited from him are still what I use for both ministry and work.

When it is the Lord, they'll not be covetous to take one thing from it. Nothing will be important to them that they won't see as a necessity for you unless it's a very personal belonging like I earlier mentioned. As you go about the kingdom's business henceforth, expect the miracle of things being yielded up to you as they are.

PRAYER/CONFESSION: I am never stranded. God takes thought for me by raising men who'll leave their things for me as it is. With this, I'm effective with my assignment and purpose even in 2026.

MORNING WINGS DAILY DEVOTIONAL - Olusola & Oreoluwa ADEJUMO

TAKING THOUGHT: LET US BUILD FOR HIM A PLACE

II Kings 4:10, KJV

"Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither."

You know, it is yours to serve the Lord and it is His to bless you. God's kingdom is one of administration of resources. How I wish a lot of people will know that God can administer resources to them by Himself for specific needs in their lives. Those resources may be an answer to prayer or a waiting that's being done. What matters is that God can send resources your way. He can impregnate and let it become the thought of someone to think of you and your welfare. It is one of the ways God takes care of people - obedient and willing Christians in this kingdom.

Resources do go two ways. God can impinge on your heart to give to people as a way of administering to them and He can impinge on people to allocate to you as a way of meeting your needs in criticality and hot tempered time when it needs to be met. That's why I said resources do go around in this kingdom."

When we talk of trusting God for provision, many who haven't known or accustomed themselves with this path would get confused. They'll say they're preaching a substitution to hard work. Recently, a minister friend just discovered I have a job. We attended the same tertiary institution together for our undergraduate studies. He was shocked that I was also keeping a job. He thought I was only running ministry. My consistency in ministry and in authoring the devotional had deceived him. However, despite keeping a job - not even one; I have many jobs. I rely and trust God often for provision. Only my wife could tell you how much I operate that. I can have money at hand and I'll have it disbursed to where God wanted it to go and begin to trust God to meet my own needs. I could have removed from that salary or income of mine to buy my necessities but I just wanted to work this principle, acclimatize with it and have a testimony to show people that it works. And indeed, it works.

Look at Elisha, he was only consistent in his service to God. That woman even acknowledges that. She says, "I perceive this is a holy man of God which passes by us continually." You see, Elisha is a consistent man. He passes continually. He didn't pass just once. He repeatedly passes in carrying out God's assignment. It was while discharging his ministry day in day out as he passed that this woman first constrained him to branch and eat bread before it eventually led to devising a means to build a place for him.

Look at me. Your car's key is in the hand of someone. You can buy for yourself if you want but another reality is that you can be given. Elisha never for once thought about resting on his journey but God could see the big need in his life. I'm sure he might have travelled by foot. Travelling that way constantly continuously can't but be wearisome. God knew he needed rest - a break on the way. So, God raised this woman to take notice of him. First, she constrained (persuaded him when he refused) to eat bread and lock in often to refresh himself as long as he passed by. Then, the big matter - "Let us build him a place on the wall that when he visits he can go therein."

Elisha never initiated anything. Elisha never whispered anything to anyone. If he ever spoke to anyone, that would be God that he prayed to. He probably only sent letters to heaven to intervene in his constant weariness as he journeyed. Then, heaven heard and sent an answer. An answer in a wealthy woman who would refuse to be rejected. She persuaded Elisha until he ate her food. You could see she really wanted to part with that food. It was coming willingly from her. And then after perceiving that this is a holy man of God which passes by them continually, she took it further. They built a place for Elisha. As in, they camped in Elisha for themselves. They were thinking of him. Look at how that woman puts it.

II Kings 4:10, KJV

"Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither."

Look, God will begin to raise people who'll begin to think about you. They'll not only think, they'll decide what to do for you. Their thinking of welfare (their thinking of good and not of evil) will birth favour that will touch you.

Elisha enjoyed that on his consistent and daily walk with God. In His Christian service and ministry, God remembers him and gave him those who said, "let us build for him a place and put in it a bed, a table, a stool and a candlestick that he may turn in thither."

Elisha got a fully furnished room in someone's house. He never paid rent. You can have that experience you know. You can live in a fully furnished room or house without rent. I've had it on campus before. A senior student ahead of me paid my house rent and left his room as it was for me. I just came to occupy it. He only went with his books . The many ties that I met there are still what I'm using till date.

God is shifting a place for someone in people's hearts. Do you travel often to a location and in need of a place befitting ministry or what you're there to do? God can mandate men to say, "Let us make a little chamber for him."

The ultimate is this, wherever you go, you shall be accepted. Someone is waiting there to receive you. They'll lodge you and treat you like their own. You don't have to have known them before. God will just give you a spot in their hearts and so shall your experience and mine be in 2026. For us ministers of the gospel, our needs will be met without begging and crying to people. Our humanness shall not be discovered before we are provided for. We won't be mocked or shamed. Rather, we'll be served and serviced by God through those He will sovereignly choose or use by Himself.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for all needs met this year and all needs that'll be met next year. Never cornered, I'm grateful.
