WHEN YOU'VE MADE AN IMPRESSION

READ I Kings 3:1-15

I Kings 3:4-5, AMP

"4 The king went to Gibeon [near Jerusalem, where stood the tabernacle and the bronze altar] to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place. One thousand burnt offerings Solomon offered on that altar. 5 In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night. And God said, [b]Ask what I shall give you."

When you impress, you will reap the consequence. There's an impression that really impresses. How I pray that you will impress rightly so that you can reap where you've sown impression. 

Any who impresses is like a sower who sows weeping, he will doubtlessly come back to reap in joy. The day you begin to do something with all that's inside you (not considering cost) is the day you've begun to walk on the road of impressing those it may concern whether you do it to be seen or not. While we're not taken thought to be seen and applauded necessarily and first of all by men, yet excellence that's practised consistently which is our aim and trademark can't but earn us the reward of having rightly impresses someone. 

Solomon without even taking thought for the reward of impression just did his own as unto the Lord (and not to be seen by men) and the surprise of impression jumped at him. He was baffled when the Lord goes to the uttermost by asking him to fill a blank cheque He presented before him. Though it was in his dream yet I could see an element of surprise not written there there.

Do you think somebody just get turned on the inside as to say, "ask anything of me which I shall do for you?" No! Solomon had sacrificed 1000 burnt offerings before then. That was what impressed God. God must have muttered and thought to Himself, "how could he have done that?" To Solomon, what he did was not costly to him (though costly indeed). It was not costly nor a thing to price before doing because it was his love for Jehovah that propelled him into going to that extreme to give to God. When you know the value of a person, you can expend and consume uncountable on them.  No wonder, God in a burning passion and like one in utmost forgetfulness (hypnotized) comes back  to tell him to name anything at His own (God's) expense. It's like a child who has impressed his parents by passing a respected exam which made the parents tell him to request for anything afterwards to commend, compensate, celebrate and approve of his labour and high sacrifice. The withdrawal is on the parents. He has sacrificed to impress them ahead of time. Now is the time of recompense and return.

Today, I heard in my spirit, it is time to impress God, Jehovah, the One that matters most. When you please Him, He only can make your enemy even be at peace with you. Then, you can strive to earn the blank cheque of any man that you should satisfy and surprise.

As for us in Morning Wings Ministry, we've satisfied and impressed Jehovah. The voice that I heard not long ago was "this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased, listen to him." Our reward for satisfying Him is that people shall listen, take cognizance of us and give their obedience to us worldwide. So says the Lord God who authors us all!

PRAYER: Lord, teach me sacrifice for you. May I be willing to give you of what you've given me.

THE BRIDLED HORSE

READ James 3

James 3:3, KJV

"Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.'

Horses are animals of strength. No wonder, they're used in battles. Have you not wonder where it gets its strength to bear burdens, drag wagons or carriage from etc? God gave it to it.  An average horse irrespective of breed has marvellous ability that can be unpacked for the benefit of mankind. A singular kick from a horse can kill a human! From speed to strength;  to its bravery at war and to its ability of being malleable - as to yield to training or the will of its trainer, horses are just desirable. 

Despite being these useful, an unbridled horse isn't useful to man. It is rather a full fledged danger. If it is not bridled, the usefulness can't be wholly enjoyed. What benefit will man take from an unbridled horse than to have a broken back? Have you ever seen a rider on the horse's back before without the horse being bridled first of all? No, they know the rule.

In capturing any horse, it must be bridled. Bits must be  put in its mouth by which the rider would turn its whole body easily. Horses are always out of hand unbridled. They will always lose control, run hay wire or do their own will. Meanwhile, a bridled horse is brought home. Even if it's a narrow path you want to walk but which is on both sides surrounded by water, a bridled horse that has been tamed in this wise by the rider can be taken and pointed to pass through such narrow path without swerving to the left or right of the waterways. 

Your installed capacity as a man can't be utilized or maximally utilized until you're bridled as a Christian also. Bridling suggests an act of putting under restriction or control and until a Christian loses his will for the exercise of his Master's,  he may not know he could be used to accomplish more on this earth. Think of what we can use a bridled horse to perform and what we can get from an unbridled. That's an immediate allusion to what a man under a good leadership or structure can become. Don't think you can bring out the best in you. Horses themselves don't know their best but humans does and so harnesses it to bring out those best. You need a trainer. You need somebody to use you as to discover you.  

When a horse is bridled according to that verse, what do we have them do? We have them obey us. It means without the bridling, there's no obedience. If you've seen a bridled horse being ridden before, you'll observe it still gallops and does as if it wants to fall off its rider. Yet, that's a fully bridled horse with reins in the hands of its rider for balance. Now, what if it were an unbridled one? 

Obedience is first of all the consequence of bridling. If you're under Jesus' lordship, you must obey. Being born again brings you under His lordship. Only by then can your whole body be easily turned about. Your whole body is your whole affairs. Lack of submission is why many Christians can't be ruled over nor brought to their destinations. A bridled horse loses its will to the rider. That's where God wants you get to where what He ordains for you is what you do while leaving what you could have done. A horse is praised for its excellence because of this yet it isn't something she also wants to do naturally. That you don't like it don't mean you don't need it. 

The horse has inner abilities but it is man that  bridles the horse to help it accomplish these abilities. If you surrender like clay in the hands of a potter as well, what God and good leadership will use you do will be unto or even greater than what man trains or bridle a horse to do. 

PRAYER: Lord, where am I out of control, put me under control. I submit to your Lordship and any godly physical structure you've given me.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR SPECIAL ANOINTING

 YOUR SPECIAL ANOINTING

There's a thing known as your special anointing. If you're anointed with a specific mandate to fulfill, you'll have this anointing reside permanently in your call. However, it is not a permanent anointing. It is not permanent in that, it goes and comes. 

When you're ministering, this special anointing can announce itself as an interrupter. Ask teachers who are also healers or prophets. When they're at work and the mercy/willingness of God or the faith of a fellow in the congregation is placing strong demand or obligation on God to meet their needs, God by His Spirit will visit the minister ministering. 

Immediately, he'll have awareness that the Spirit of ease has come. He knows by experience that he must stop the ongoing ministration to administer that anointing right away, there and then. This anointing is like the food you buy in disposables. After eating it, you do away with the disposable. In like manner, once you minister to what you know by interpretation the anointing that has just descended on you should be used for, it lifts. You will always know when it comes and when it's to leave.

When it comes on some ministers, they become unusually heavy as if they're wearing on them a coat of mail. Some will be feeling wet. Some will feel warm. The palm of some especially healers will look as if it has been set ablaze. They may even be receiving a liking to lay hands on people. At times, it may be promptings to speak only for those who are speakers. 

That's the effect of that special anointing. It is strong and it always announces itself. All ministers are anointed but each minister has an anointing for special capabilities. That's not common. 

I know an elderly minister who's very much respected in Nigeria and beyond. When he's teaching, he will pause often: at very irregular intervals to hand out prophecies. Do you know why? God is showing him things. That anointing for ministration is at work. After such revelation, he can proclaim by decreeing or administering the anointing by contact (which is very rare for him to do) because of the millions he ministers to. Many times, I've only watched him speak into people's lives to address their situations or say what God is doing. At that very hour he decrees, don't doubt God, what he said God said he should announce is either concluded or ongoing. Testimonies or hard copy is what you should request for if you so desire proofs.

Ministers, this anointing is your leverage. Don't let it shy away from showing often when you minister. Don't grieve the Spirit or else He'll fold His arms in your life. So, always have the attitude and spirit-posture that will make it readily available. Fast, pray, maintain holiness and be sensitive. To upcoming ministers, you will learn the outworking as you grow and learn better to yield to the Holy Spirit at this dimension. There should be nothing you're doing that should be too exalted to drop once it comes. 

Don't worry however if you're ministering and the anointing doesn't show up all the time. Minister by faith then and you can still get the job done. But if this bulldozing anointing visits, quickly ride on his back and do whatsoever with it as soon as it tarries. This anointing is like the dew that disappears as the sun sets out. It's like manna that melts when the sun comes out also. So, you can't be careless with it or else your congregation will remain needy and go home unattended to. For yokes to be broken big time, you must heed this anointing.

Did anyone exhibit this in the Bible? Yes. Samson. Just let's dwell on him only. Read Judges and dwell on Samson's entire life. You'll observe a pattern by which God visits him. What I'm describing fits that pattern. 

You'll see that that anointing always hits him when it's time for ministration. Until the eleventh hour or to twelve, the anointing won't surface. Read all these passages to see how it happens often to him.

Judges 14:5-6, KJV

"5 Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him. 6 And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done."

Judges 15:14, KJV

"And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands."

Look at these two instances, the anointing - that special anointing didn't descend on him until the need or thing to evacuate was at hand. At times, it comes unannounced but you should know that your Parakletos is here for your aiding. Samson knew whenever it arrives. 

The special anointing I talk about is like that. For some ministers, they have it to eject demons. If the anointing should come around like this, they won't have to be shouting and persist in "go out. I said, go out." It will be as soon as they hear of me, foreigners cringe before me. They all lose heart, coming out of their hiding places. 

So, today, this is an explanation coming to your way as a minister. Take heed to it and stop wasting this anointing whenever it comes. 

May you experience God in a new dimension to counteract the devil's oppressive works in people's lives.

IF YOUR LIFE MUST CHANGE

I Chronicles 4:9-10, KJV

"9 And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. 10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested."

There is the conventional crying or action while there's the unconventional. Jabez cried! He cried! Why did Jabez call on God? He cried because he wanted to change his situation. The situation Jabez met himself was not his creation. Whether it was however his creation or not isn't the ultimate. Where the matter is is changing the situation. You can't forever mourn the past when you should take responsibility for the future. Jabez had been cursed subtly at birth and he needed to break off from this pronouncement that has been moulded into a yoke which yielded to him undesirables.

On that note, he called on the God of Israel. He attacked and addressed a particular quarters. He knows every good and perfect gift comes from above. Now, before he cried, he came to the discovery of something not good. He got to a place where having spoken with himself, he decided not to continue that way again. He must off course have seen a lot of disgraces and embarrassments which brought him to himself to say, "enough!" He wanted freedom and he set his mind on it and not any other thing. If you had met Jabez at this time and had asked him what he wanted, he would have mentioned one thing, "change." Jabez knew what to address and then who to address. It was God he called unto. He didn't cry to the mother and say, "make another pronouncement." You must know where to face, who to appeal and draw your requests on.

How many people are tired of where they are, who they are and the repeating happenings in their lives? Until you are tired and wanted a turn of event, you can't take a corresponding action. Jabez got to this brink. He got where he knew nobody would turn things for him except he does it himself. Therefore, like Jephthah, he took his life into his hands and advocated for his cause from the Father. He petitioned God. Like an angry man, he refused to leave God alone nor be comforted. God saw the desperation and signed his demands.  

Come and see contention in the spirit. When Jabez cried to God, it is equal to fighting that curse or label put on him in the spirit. There was a violent reaction. Things shook in the spirit and what was the result eventually?

Jabez then became a new being. One who could be described as being honourable than the children of his mother. But that was not Jabez before. A new Jabez now walks the town. Hallelujah!

Today, may your identity change. May you be known otherwise from the past. May there be a turning and a wide distance from how you're negatively described to how you'll begin to be positively described. 

But before any of these will happen, you must come to the realization of your condition. You must be pained. You must be angry to have a new life. When you are, then you'll see new ideas, actions etc flooding you as practical steps by which your life, status etc would change. Jabez prayed. You may not necessarily pray but rather may take actions which you've never taken before that will bring that new dawn on you.

PRAYER: Sensitize me to what I should resist. Let my awareness lead to unconventional acts to desire change. I receive a distinction that deviates from past's reputation.

BECAUSE IT IS YOUR SEASON

Read Psalm 1

Psalms 1:3, KJV

"And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."

The righteous is like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth his fruit in his season. What your gaze must be fixed on is _"that brings forth his fruits in his season."_ Do you know some things won't just yield unless their seasons come. If you know this, you'll quickly be hastened as a Christian to discern and separate between what you can accrue any time any day and what can only be received in its day.

There is a thing like " _the day, the time or the season_ ." If it is not the season for a leaf to fall off its branch, it won't fall unless you pluck it off. If it's not day for the sun to shine or night for the moon to peep out, you won't see either. Though they both wanted to be seen at the peak of their performances, yet they stick to the rule of their seasons. Season naturally calls you into manifestation even without your taking thought for it. That's why you have to pray that your season will come upon you. It is not age that determines season but the ordaining of God and how cooperative we are with God on our journey. Some by their own acts are delaying or postponing the ripening of their seasons though it has been afore fixed that they manifest or bring forth someday. Stop sinning, stop not putting preparation in place for the D-day.

If that tree bears fruits in its own season, the message is that you must bring forth at your season. It means some things must happen or be fulfilled upon you because of their time which has mature and is fixed. You're not destined not to be productive. You carry in you the seed that gives birth. That place says, "he brings forth HIS FRUIT in his season." Did you see? Some fruits were allotted to him. That is, whether he likes it or not, he must bring forth something which is his. God has destined you to.

Unless seasons come for some things, no matter how you try, you can't force result. If at your season, you however are not productive, then there's an attack and a curse of the devil hindering that. I break it off you in Jesus name. What did the Bible say here?

Psalms 102:13, KJV

"Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come."

Why would God arise? ...because that fixed time has come. That's all. Nothing added and nothing removed. Singularly, that's the reason for God's coming through for Zion. 

Are you not Zion today? Your season has come. If it's your season for it to happen or be done, it means it can't be hindered because things must answer at their seasons. A law is there and an angel watches over your season to ensure that it is kept. You won't miss seasons! 

I pray for you, because your season has come, you'll be productive in your calling and career. You'll be favoured, sought after and things would happen for you faster and better than you've been labouring to make happen. Alas, the season has come upon you. Result can't be hindered again because the Law and the Lord of seasons are watching to perform to you in your season. 

PRAYER: Lord, help me by early discovery not to miss seasons. Restore to me any missed season/opportunities. Watch over my season with jealousy for accomplishment of purpose.

DEFINING PATRIOTISM WHILE SEEKING HOMELAND'S PEACE - Part 2

Let me reinstate on something that was not obviously stated in the first writeup with which a balance would be made.

When we say, "be patriotic to your homeland, I'll like you know how it works." Consider this interview with two Nigerians.

Interviewer: I heard Nigeria, your country is still dark and all is pretty total black out.

1st Citizen: [Smiles to cushion that] We have light but endeavour is being made for its stability. 

2nd Citizen: [Claps his palms together and crowns it with "did you see?"] Is it not Nigeria? That's how we'll remain till the end comes. Nothing works!

One response shows hope, love to protect and cover the nakedness of what one call his own while still agreeing to the same truth. The other is not but rather mocks and shuts the gate at hope.

When we say be a patriotic citizen of this 'Land', do we not know there's a 'fish' that wants to LORD it over others in the same waters. Being patriotic doesn't mean not learning the truth and speaking the truth [but in love and honesty] to advocate just and right causes. No compassionate being will support the killings, kidnappings, banditry, terrorism, inequality and impunity at all levels. In the spirit of patriotism and jealousy for what we call homeland, we will rather seek for a change that benefits all.

We've attended conferences, meetings etc and have traded with the elders at all levels and have known the truth. The scam and lies of the 1914 amalgamation has been betrayed into our hands with many truths. We learnt history and retains it. But despite that, if oneness can be called forth with equity and equality, no branch of this tree will threaten to break. 

Let me say this 'Land' is like the statue of King Nebuchadnezzar which was of gold, silver, brass, iron and clay that was brought to stick together despite being of different composites. We're wishing it will stay together if the one calling itself the 'big fish' will stop troubling the water. If it won't, even God is obligated after seeing your love and my love for homeland to create other ponds for other fishes in their species to indwell.

If you'll read that place in Daniel 2:32-35, you'll see that a hand cut a stone that smote the statue finally. Down the line of history, gaining freedom has been by sweat or even the blood of some people. But I tell you, it didn't come also until a divine hand ruling in the affairs of men signs the petition. There's a time that's written that has been set as rainbow over us and placed like a satellite in the heavens.

ONE THROUGH WHICH WE'RE BEATEN INTO ALIGNMENT

Proverbs 30:29-30, KJV

"29 There be three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going:  30 A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any"

Begin to imagine a path especially a thin path. If the lion is coming at one end and any other beast walks towards him from another end, the Bible says, "that other animal would be the one to turn away from the path for the lion." Its fear is always feared. So, what the lion wants as a desire to be implemented is always implemented over other animals. The lion doesn't seek to conform or adjust to what other beasts wants or seem to have set as the rules of the jungle; it is other beasts that moves, shifts to upgrade with what he calls best and has been made known by an unwritten code in the jungle. 

The lion is regarded as king amidst all beasts.  He is the measurement by which others are measured. He is the standard. Other animals will dance to his tune. He doesn't play down. He remains with what he has known and believed to be true and just while others must swiftly take dressing to align with that. There has never been a story of a beast turning down this request to be uniform with the lion's request. What's the lion's request, will or command? "I turn not away from any. I will remain on this trail but all others must turn away and align to my demand of leaving the trail for me to walk. Once I pass, they can then resume their walk." There has never been a traffic jam on the trail a lion takes. Even if there are as he comes, it automatically clears itself without a voice raised or a roar made.

Are you seeing a kind of injustice in the jungle? God made it so. Did you see power that can't be challenged?

So also, there's a measurement by which we're measured. When it comes to the contest of wills, God won't turn away for you. You will be the one to turn. That doesn't mean if you insist, God can't succumb and let you have the permissive will you're bending for. If you'll allow however, if you want a thing as a believer but God is saying no to that very choice; what God is saying is, "you, align or shift position in what you want to what I want." He is the lion by which we're called to the higher standard or what has been laid down by Him as best for observant. God is greater than us. He even begat us and like the lion in the jungle, He should have the last say over us. If you're saying this and God's Spirit is interjecting you to keep your peace, you better allow it. You better go on vacation for what the dictate of God at that time is to come to pass.

The lion is walking a path. Another animal is walking same path but once their paths want to cross where it seems an argument of who should wait for the other to pass would ensue, all the beasts know who should wait. No one seeks to do contrary. If animals could be this obedient to a higher authority, what happens to humans and the human government issuing God's decrees? What happens to obedience to God Himself?

The key to winning in life is to allow God always win over your choice, will, desire and ambition. You know better but He knows best. Always agree to align to what He'll deem fit as demands. Check carefully, what's God calling me to align with at this moment? Let your obedience starts from there.

PRAYER: Lord, grant me willingness to obey. Where dropping my will for Yours is hard, do comfort me. I shift and meet up with the standard You've created to be met.
