THE HEART THAT GOES WITH YOU

READ II Kings 5:1-27

II Kings 5:26, KJV

"And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?"

Where can we go from the presence of God? Psalm 139 is a psalm of discovery that shows our not being able to escape from the Lord.

Psalms 139:2-3, KJV

"2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. 3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways".

God is the one that compasses your path. He is the God that surrounds you. In today's passage, Gehazi runs after Naaman to demand of him things that his master, Elisha had rejected after Naaman has been healed of leprosy. After his arrival back to the master, Elisha requested of him where he was coming from. He lied and said " thy servant went no whither (II Kings 5:25, KJV).

Elisha then replied, "went not mine heart with thee when the man alight from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to collect this and that?" The following consequence is that Gehazi is cursed and he carries the leprosy of Naaman.

You should know that God's eyes follows you all-around. There is nothing done in secret that won't be made manifest is what the Bible says. As a child of light therefore, let your deeds be wrought in God so that you won't fear being exposed. If you have good deeds, you'll want to manifest it in light/public but if your deeds are evil, you'll want darkness to cover you. This year is a year where secret sins and abominable deeds are really irritant to the Lord. You shouldn't indulge in any because God's heart and eyes would always go with you. Your conscience would bear you witness and call you to questions and order.  

There's no time like any other to stop secret sins also than now. It is God before whom we all have to do. Fear Him as one that knows all, sees all and surrounds you about. Decide today not to carry any consequence resulting from secret sins like that of Gehazi. When your ways are straight, you purchase for yourself clear conscience before men and God. Gehazi though lied he goes no where that day knew deep down that his conscience bears him witness. As he denies his master, his heart tells him, "you lie". Your first judge this year is your heart. So, pay attention. 

PRAYER: I break loose from any habitual sin. I shall keep no secret sin that would bring me losses, harm or death. I'm a child of light and I manifest so.

HE KNOWS THE RIGHT WAY

Read Psalm 107

Psalms 107:7, KJV

"And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation."

There's only one cause for wandering. It is not knowing the right way. If you don't know by an inner conviction what course to study, where to live in or what to do per time, you'll always be seen trying to master it without mastering it.

One of the greatest prayers you can offer to God through Jesus Christ is to be led in the right way. Being led in the right way is like a blind fellow that gropes in darkness for the way that leads to where he goes. He may have mistaken the wrong way for the right. So, he'll need a guide to root him from that and plant him on the right way to his destination. This is necessary because no one goes on a wrong path desiring conclusion at the right destination.

In today's passage, some survivors who were gathered from all over the earth where they've been afore scattered seek to inhabit a habitable city but the way they don't know. In their wandering, they become faint, tired, weary and hungry. It is at this time when they've gotten to the end of themselves that they now call unto the Lord. Their distresses made it so. Unless God allows you to see you can't locate a habitable city for yourself, you won't come to enquire from Him.

The thinking that thinks he can do without the Lord has only not met failure. If he does, he'll cry out to God to show him the way though he had once denied God's existence. 

At the crying of these people, God lived up to Himself. He led them in the right way. This is when they can say, "imagine. Look at the way we've been trying to locate. So, it's this simple." May it be this simple for you. Things are simple for those who start with the Lord. It is hard for those who will go without Him.

Don't forget that finding a city of habitation is not your responsibility but that of God. You will walk there but let Him put your feet on the path to it. He knows it, let Him unfold it to you.

Today, you're led in the way that's right. Any path that looks like it but which is not it will disappear from your sight. You won't be led in error or into a wrong conclusion. God will give you rest. Your wandering will stop.

PRAYER: Lord, lead me in the right way. Lead me to my city of habitation - my good conclusion.

GO ALL OUT!

II Kings 9:24,KJV

"And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot."

You will always have a target and bringing that target down isn't your second thought but first. In the pursuit of a goal and seeing it succeed, you need to go all the way out.

Jehu went all the way out. In today's passage, he stands as the anointed king for vengeance against the house of Ahab and Jezebel. Jehoram is a son of Jezebel. When he fled, it took a sniper to take him down by a shot and Jehu did that.

In arrow shooting, I heard that when you draw bows, you should draw the strongest and when you hit, hit hard. If Jehu had not drawn hard and hit hard, one thing would have been true: Jehoram might have been hit but he might have escaped by later recovering.

What did the Bible says about Jehu and the bow: his instrument of target for achieving purpose today? "Jehu draws it with his full strength." I know why people are not achieving their goals. One major reason is because they pursue but they don't pursue excellently. They don't give it all. They don't give commitment. Why did Jehu draw his bow with his full strength? He wants to ensure if it hits, it will be a hard hit. Do you know that the bow do make a kind of threatening sound as if it would break if well drawn for release? I believe that bow gave off such sound that day. Jehu drew with his full strength so that when it hits, it will hit well and his target will not survive it. So, what happen after the hit? Jehoram was pierced. It wasn't an arrow he could escape because it was an arrow well drawn on the string and released with fury. Such arrow can pierce a dry wood and come out of it. Exactly, that's what the arrow did. It pierced from one end and out it came out of Jehoram's heart. If it were a bow not drawn well with all Jehu had as strength that day, there is tendency that Jehoram is hit, escape and afterwards heal since the arrow would not pierce much. This one ain't one. It left no chances for recovery.

Today, draw your arrows with all your full strength. You will do so if you have a goal that you must achieve once and for all. That's when you can't become careless. For Jehu, he carries the anointing for vengeance and the escape of Jehoram might erupt into a declaration of war or hostility against him. So, to avoid that, he gave it his best shot and sniped Jehoram out at a shot. 

Give that goal of yours a blow but a deadly blow. Let it be a blow that won't make it sneeze but rather faints and die. Read as if you won't read again to pass exams. Attack your plans with all you've got in you. Give new enthusiasm and don't diminish in encouragement. Only those who can't risk Jehoram escape will draw the bow with their full strength. Please, if it hits, let it hit hard and make irrecoverable.

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen my feeble hands and my drooping knees. I receive strength to give all resources at my hands to achieve my target in life. May I always be fully committed.

UZZIAH ARRIVED AND STIFFED

II Chronicles 26:15, KJV 

"And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong."

I want to believe apart from the pride of ascension or achievement that fights people off the height of success, there's a strong demon specially deputized and delegated by Satan to see to it that any man up there comes down. Pride is a demon itself. 

Uzziah started as nothing. Having partnered with God, help untold was brought into his life continuously to fill his nothingness and make him into something that could be boasted of. This help was constantly given him until the Bible described him as having reached a place where he became strong. Do you know what it means to be strong? It actually means being able to stand on one's own now. "Being strong" there brings the idea of a child who can now walk on his own without needing the parents to balance or stabilize him ( taking thought for him that he may fall while walking). However, you'll realize that that child can't say he is done with the parents yet. 

Everybody that can now stand should beware. Don't be deceived that your being able to stand means God is done with you or He should be utterly removed with His inputs. No one removes God that survives it but that's where Satan wants success and your being made strong (at your level now) by God push you to. He wants you get to a place like Uzziah where you begin to disdain holy things.

II Chronicles 26:16, KJV

"But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense."

Don't get to where you see your being strong as an excuse not to ask for further help again. You can then despise fellowship and prayer. Prayerlessness and not intimating with God again shows your sufficiency and independence of God.

Do you know what you have is what you may not ask for? When a man is totally filled and lacks nothing, he can easily be  tempted to say, "he needs not God." By the time realization will happen, a thing without remedy or difficult to remediate might have happened. When we pray, we ask for help. All of us are strong in degrees different from each other both in the spirit and the physical - as it concerns earth's goods. This doesn't mean we should cast away God. Ever be humble and continually ask for more. If you agree you're totally strong indeed, you won't know there's stronger after strong and strongest after stronger. With God, blessings and equipping are in levels. He'll test you with little to see if you'll follow still.

PRAYER: Lord, may I be like a child irrespective of your blessing on me. May I never stiff. I move on with you in my spiritual journey. The I've arrived sense won't satiate me.

DESTINED FRUITS THAT ARE CONSTANT UPON CONSISTENT MEDITATION

Psalms 1:3, KJV

"And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."

According to today's Bible verse, there's a thing you're known or should be known for. That is your fruits which you're to bring out in your season. This is where the season of one Christian yielding fruits is different from another. By the fruit of a tree, such is known. This is because a trees' fruit bear witness to it and the tree to the fruit. If you see mangoes, you know it is from a mango tree. The thought will never occur to you that it was collected from pawpaw tree. 

Matthew 7:16, KJV

"Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?"

So, if you're looking for a particular fruit, you must go for a particular tree. You can't see a fruit everywhere on numerous trees. Just like the righteous there is said to bring forth his fruit [one he's created, ordained and appointed to bring out as he tarries in the Word], so do you have some fruits that you can't but bring out if you become like a tree planted by the river side. If an inventor invents, that's his fruit. If a singer releases an album, that's his own fruit. If somebody writes, that's his own fruit. That's their benefits. 

Now, there's only one thing that makes this possible. It is because such people have a source that inspires, fills and occupies them to the brim with ideas they could turn into tangible products for the world to tap into. That of a Christian isn't different from this also. If you study the Bible by taking delight and meditating in it day and night, you'll so much have much squeezed out from it that you'll begin to bring out fruits from it. It is these fruits that can be felt or related with by your world. By it, they can be ministered unto or edified. This teaching you're currently reading is one of the numerous fruits I bring out on daily basis by tarrying in the Word of God that I leverage on to inspire me to birth such tangibility for my world. Some have solved even academic questions up to Ph.D level from revelations from the Bible before. That's why it's the living Word. It is the man that delights in it that would be like a tree planted by a river of waters which brings forth his fruits in his season. You can't be buoyant without delight in the Word. There's a fruit that is the direct result of having related for long with the Word of God. You can exhume it and become a world distributor of it.

But if you're not planted near waters, how will you suck water for your nourishment and growth? You, begin to consider the destiny of trees that are not at banks of bodies of waters. In dry season, even if they don't die, you can't see them flourish. It can't retain fruits neither would many of it keep its leaves. Rather, all could wither. If care is not taken and aridity continues for long, such plant may die off also and won't come back until it smells water. 

However, those that are musing in God's Word would bear fruits. They are those that are receiving pumping of inspiring doses from the Word - a financing source.  Something is fueling them and so they'll keep producing. From the Word of God, some have created brand names, founded organizations, written constitutions, develop a system etc just by understanding that came from it through inspiration. What this world of Christians have given birth to through being watered by this Word and taking delight in it through meditation isn't small. Your own profit or fruits can be revealed to all eyes to see in your season if you'll henceforth begin to study the Word of God by commitment and not by convenience.

PRAYER: Lord, a fruit is attached to me to bring forth, I shall be a mass producer of such. I and the world will benefit from my constant study of the Scriptures. Give me grace.

BECAUSE IT IS YOUR SEASON  - The Productive Christian Series 001

Read Psalm 1

Psalms 1:3, KJV

"And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."

The righteous is like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth his fruit in his season. What your gaze must be fixed on is _"that brings forth his fruits in his season."_ Do you know some things won't just yield unless their seasons come. If you know this, you'll quickly be hastened as a Christian to discern and separate between what you can accrue any time any day and what can only be received in its day.

There is a thing like " _the day, the time or the season_ ." If it is not the season for a leaf to fall off its branch, it won't fall unless you pluck it off. If it's not day for the sun to shine or night for the moon to peep out, you won't see either. Though they both wanted to be seen at the peak of their performances, yet they stick to the rule of their seasons. Season naturally calls you into manifestation even without your taking thought for it. That's why you have to pray that your season will come upon you. It is not age that determines season but the ordaining of God and how cooperative we are with God on our journey. Some by their own acts are delaying or postponing the ripening of their seasons though it has been afore fixed that they manifest or bring forth someday. Stop sinning, stop not putting preparation in place for the D-day.

If that tree bears fruits in its own season, the message is that you must bring forth at your season. It means some things must happen or be fulfilled upon you because of their time which has mature and is fixed. You're not destined not to be productive. You carry in you the seed that gives birth. That place says, "he brings forth HIS FRUIT in his season." Did you see? Some fruits were allotted to him. That is, whether he likes it or not, he must bring forth something which is his. God has destined you to.

Unless seasons come for some things, no matter how you try, you can't force result. If at your season, you however are not productive, then there's an attack and a curse of the devil hindering that. I break it off you in Jesus name. What did the Bible say here?

Psalms 102:13, KJV

"Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come."

Why would God arise? ...because that fixed time has come. That's all. Nothing added and nothing removed. Singularly, that's the reason for God's coming through for Zion. 

Are you not Zion today? Your season has come. If it's your season for it to happen or be done, it means it can't be hindered because things must answer at their seasons. A law is there and an angel watches over your season to ensure that it is kept. You won't miss seasons! 

I pray for you, because your season has come, you'll be productive in your calling and career. You'll be favoured, sought after and things would happen for you faster and better than you've been labouring to make happen. Alas, the season has come upon you. Result can't be hindered again because the Law and the Lord of seasons are watching to perform to you in your season. 

PRAYER: Lord, help me by early discovery not to miss seasons. Restore to me any missed season/opportunities. Watch over my season with jealousy for accomplishment of purpose.

MAY YOU THRIVE!

Psalms 92:12,KJV

"The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon."

The palm tree is unique amidst trees. One special thing about it is its ability to continue under circumstances or conditions that withers other trees and seals their end. It always further even in dry season. This is the tree that lives on even when water is withdrawn. It continues to behave and put forth as if water had been. It doesn't give excuses even for not continuing.

Noo! The palm tree always thrive irrespective of its location. Aridity can't baffle nor dismay it. Being planted by rivers of waters only rejoices it again. This tree doesn't know hard times even when hard times is on. While other trees lament and cry as to why the economy has downgraded, it murmurs not. People have wondered why.

The palm tree doesn't stop flourishing. This is whom I pray God make you. Somebody that passes through hard times as if hard times had not existed to him at first. Do you remember the men thrown bound into the fire? The Bible said "they came out of that situation without the  slightest burn. They were not singed. Not even smoke could be smelt on them.

Daniel 3:27,KJV

"And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them."

Our world is not a relaxing one. Best of minds are cracking up. People are winding down and collapsing just like that. They just can't continue. Challenges are bugging down on them and many are sure lost in  it with only a handful that survives. When you thrive, you don't stop continuing. Under harsh condition, you won't go into extinction. In famine, Elijah didn't go into extinction, he thrived. In that unpalatable circumstance, arrangements were still made for his continuity. He drank from Brook Cherith while for his survival, birds fed him (which was unnatural).

John's ministry was in the desert. John didn't even ate delicacies nor was one available for him. His food (honey and locust bean) was a disciplined one that shows what rigour he was enduring. Yet, he didn't fold up. He existed still where things don't usually survive. He made headway and people came to him. 

Today, may you thrive in struggles and hardship. May you see the light of the day and survive. May you not give up where and when there is no water. May you rather flourish and continue to exist to the amazement of all. You will have the upper hand. You will prevail over challenges and gain ascent over contest and oppression.

PRAYER: Lord, may I continue to be when I ought not to be.
