IT IS FOR THE PRAISE OF GOD - Fitted For A Manner Of Life Series 004

Matthew 19:12, KJV

"For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it."

Do you remember Jesus' reply to the suggestive questions of Jesus' disciples? They asked, "who sinned - this man or the parents that he was born blind?" But Jesus nullified both and said what happened to him was allowed so that the works of God can be made manifest in him. That is, heaven was waiting for a slated day to heal this man so that praise, glory and adoration might be brought again to God and so that all eyes might see that it is true that there's a Creator somewhere who created all of us and the universe at large.

Yesterday, that was what God did. He returned to the beginning, made clay of the spittle and gave eyes to he who needed it. Yes, all for His glory. So that when people ask, "who did this?" We might say, "Jesus!" Therefore, bringing God and the kingdom glory. In extension and in like manner, he brought diverse healing to people irrespective of their deformities, sicknesses or diseases.

Solution two however is this. God wants us to still praise him in our infirmities. Irrespective of what we are besseted or afflicted with, He wants us to serve Him in them - when it is convenient and when it is not. Do you remember Paul? He sought the Lord over the messenger of the devil that was in his body to humble him. He wanted it to be removed but he just had to live with it. He said, "three times have I sought the Lord to take it away."

II Corinthians 12:7-9, KJV

"7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.  9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

I don't know how many times you have sought the Lord or medical help to rectify something that refused to yield. But you might need to open your understanding to see why it is allowed. For Paul, it was allowed to keep him humble. God doesn't want him to  boast in the flesh and so allowed a thing to humble him and make him see his humanity and how earthen and earthly he still is though God is using him mightily and supernaturally.

Further more, since we are to be sold to Him, we ought not worry of life or death again. Paul says in Philippians 1:21, "for to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." It means if you're still living even in your deficiency, let God be praised. Continue to do acts that'll make men see your light and give glory to your Father who's in heaven. Continue to bring praise and glory to Him even in your weakness, tribulation, infirmity or suffering.

We all know Pastor Nick. He was born with a chronic syndrome that didn't afford him limbs. Though in that challenging situation, I tell you that his faith still sings hallelujah. He discovers his purpose and calling in life and he's living it. He's living for purpose so much that his deficiencies are not even seen or loud or raised as anthem of deficiency again. He's even married with children!

Do you know the mistake that many with deficiencies are making? They refuse to praise God even in their deficiency. Don't you know if you're lost in God and in purpose despite your deficiency, you'll be seen as better off, proclaimed and rewarded. People will wonder, "look at him, he is born blind but he's a world renown musician!"

You have the choice to either fold your arms and die purposelessly and uncelebrated or you rise above your deficiency in purpose and let God's aroma to this loving world be tasted through you. Many people have served God in thirst, hunger, war, pestilence, loss of all and family and even till death. So, are you any special? Should your being an eunuch from your mother's womb or by any accident stop you from bringing glory to God? Don't forget this Bible verse. It's for your sake it is written.

"Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who's in heaven" (Matt.5:16).

It means if you don't successfully arise or let your light shine, men would have nothing to see and nothing to thank and praise God for. Let your testimony be, "despite the infirmities, look at how far he has ploughed." Before the carcass of your spirit (body) drops, may you live with this understanding in view. Yes, in view!

PRAYER: Lord, may I not live as a horse or a mule without understanding. May I live for purpose and express your writings in me to the world.

THE MAN WHO CONFUSED ALL OF US - Fitted For A Manner Of Life Series 003

John 9:1-3, KJV

"1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him."

This popular story is lesson-packed for us. I called that man, "the man who confused all of us!" Do you know why? His case confused the disciples and when we hear or see such cases today, we still are lost, left wondering, doubtful and searching for answers. Many times, what we guessed happened is not always what happened. So, we do miss it.

He's a man born blind. To the disciples, it is either his parents had sinned for him to have been born blind. Anyway, they asked Jesus, "who sinned? This man or his parents that he was born blind? This is how we all trace some anomalies to sin. We'll tell ourselves, "I hope that brother or sister didn't sin." However, this case is an exception. It was overruled. What the disciples were probably pining to hear never came. They would have wanted a decisive answer - like Jesus saying, "yes, it was the parents that sinned!" That's why they gave him those two options and if we thought critically, we'll see that out of those two options, only one was very valid and that one only points to the parents having sinned as suggested by Jesus' disciples.

Jesus replies, "it was not that this man sinned or his parents did, but that the works of God might be displayed in him."

Now, listen up! When I started this series and stumbled on eunuchs born so from their mother's womb, Satan attacked me with doubts that it wasn't possible for anyone to be born so. I don't mean "created so" but rather "born so." All that God created is good but something might have gone off the handle. If it is correct that there's no eunuch born so, it means Jesus lied and the Bible is erroneous or untrustworthy. However, the Holy Spirit quickened the story of this man to me and it became an answer to wade off that thought and affirm the belief that indeed there are those born as eunuchs - either without or partially with sexual organs or less formed ones or with certain abnormalities that disqualified them. It might even be anything beyond my description in this teaching or my own knowledge but which truly exists or had happened. Just like this man was born blind - of his mother born blind, we can have eunuchs born so due to certain deformations also.

Now, why does the story of this man fit? Now apart from the fact that he was born blind, there's one crazy and surprising thing about him. He didn't even have eyes at all. There were no eye sockets let alone eyes in them that we could then describe or call blind. All the blind men I have seen in my lifetime do have eyes, only that something might have gone wrong with the balls or their visuals. However, this one only had skin covering that part where eyes should be. That's wondrous! Isn't it! No hole whatsoever let alone a thing being fixed there. So, there was not even a testimony of "try to open your eyes once in his life because he has been in darkness all his days." Where his eyes should be situated is like a plastered wall across a window or a thin layer covering every place. No spot for eyes could be located. It has not been created whatsoever. Heavenly bricklayer and moulder didn't make that there or it was an anomaly at birth. Just like bricklayers do create a space for windows when houses are built, contrarily, this man's body had no window holes at all!

That explains the kind of miracle Jesus did on him. It is not a coincidence that Jesus says, "I am the light of the world" (John 9:5). Though not to be taken literally but it does explain that Jesus is about giving light of the body (eyes) to someone. Jesus therefore spits on the ground, made mud with His saliva and anointed the man's eyes with it (remember the creation story and how God formed man of the dust of the ground in Gen). Then, "go, wash in the pool of Siloam" was the next command. What results are the eye sockets, eyes and whatsoever components make up the human eyes. It was a creative miracle. Something that was not there got created.

This is the first hope of anyone born a eunuch. If they say, "the place is close or didn't form properly", alright. I know someone who gave complete sound eyes to someone that didn't have it before. What about that? Take your miracle in Jesus' name! Is any part missing in your body? Is any organ damaged or problematic? Receive a replacement. Let God's creative miracle be worked on you. Are you impotent or having low sperm count or unhealthy sperm cells? Receive healing in Jesus' name!

This is the first hope of eunuchs born so of women. God has spare parts for every parts of our bodies. What is deficient can be made whole! It can be stretched, enlarged or enabled. Look, irrespective of what the condition is which resulted into being an eunuch born of a woman, God got it under control. I pronounce, let it come under control. So shall it be in Jesus' name.

Now, of the two remedies and comfort I said God would provide, we've only seen one. Let's see the other in the next series.

PRAYER: I am agile, strong, healthy, active as a man. Even as a woman, any part of me that has been deactivated or is unhealthy, I call for a healthy reset.

FIRST OF THE THREE CELIBATES - Fitted For A Manner Of Life Series 002

Matthew 19:11, KJV

"11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. 12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it."

A matter that is scattered and fearful began to be raised yesterday. We began to examine "those who can receive that saying to avoid marriage or remain as celibates." After Jesus' reply to His disciples who said, "it is better that a man does not marry but remain single or a celibate for life", Jesus didn't stop there. He digs further to help them and us understand what he meant by, "except those to whom it is given." Jesus proceeds to list "those to whom it is given." They are as follows.

a. Eunuchs so born from their mother's womb.

b. Eunuchs made eunuchs by men.

c. Eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake.

These are the three "called types" that Jesus refers to as being able to receive the saying of remaining single or celibate.

Of all these three categories, the one that is unbelievable to you and which looks like a myth or miracle is probably those who are born eunuchs from their mother's womb. To understand this better, we might need to explain who a eunuch is. For better comprehension, we'll need all the definitions on the term "eunuch" that's out there. From Chambers English Dictionary (10th Edition), we have the following.

"A castrated man, especially one in charge of a harem or a high voiced singer; an ineffectual person, lacking in some way in force or power."

For the establishment of more truths, I'll extend to surrounding words formed from "eunuch" from the same dictionary.

a. Eunuchism: the condition of being a eunuch.

b. Eunuchoidism: a condition in which there is some deficiency of sexual development and in which certain female sex characteristics, eg high voice, are often present.

Also, let's check the Bible. Deuteronomy 23:1 talks of males with crushed testicles or chopped off male organ. Isaiah 56:3 talks of the eunuch who says, "behold, I am a dry tree" - that is infertile and unable to reproduce. Also, according to the Romans, eunuchs are classified into three types.

a. Spadones - infertile males from birth.

b. Thlibiae - males whose testicles had been "pressed" or Thladioe - males whose testicles had been "crushed."

Note: Pressed and crushed are very similar.

c. Castrati - males whose unit was cut off or lost altogether.

On general basis, it might also mean, "those who lack sexual desire or the ability to have sex. They may be the castrated, deformed or impotent. Going by all these meanings and definitions, we can reach an agreement that eunuchs are sexually males though their societies in which they existed or exist (if there are any today) might see them as "unmanly man" because they cannot reproduce or father.

These meanings would lead us into the understanding we need. I am not a medical practitioner (the type that works in the hospital). However, if you do ask them, they'll tell you that there are those born eunuchs. That condition where there's deficiency in sexual development in some might make some so. That's what Jesus refers to as "eunuchs born so from their mother's womb." Something might have gone wrong and due to that, an abnormality results (a rare disorder it'll be I believe) which therefore produces one without properly formed (sexual) organs. I'm believing that's how it should be or something closely related to that.

Now, these people are born so and by being born so are made to live so as eunuchs. I told you in series one that they didn't choose that lot themselves. They more likely would want to escape that fate. It makes them estranged to normal and healthy people. I wonder if they'll fully find acceptance in the company of all men. They'll be discriminated, mocked and rejected of people. They might see beauty or handsomeness but they are just not well capacitated to satiate it. For this reason, they'll endure and remain as eunuchs. They are those born from their mother's womb this way.

I pray for you. May your baby form well. May that pregnancy in you develop all necessary parts without any anomaly. You'll give birth to a proper child. Moses is described as a "proper or goodly child" (Exo.2:2). The more reason why the mother doesn't want to yield him up. It's because something positive stands him out uniquely even as a child. It's a proper, complete and whole child you'll escape or vomit. And if there's any mother or child reading this who has found himself in this condition of being a eunuch born from the womb, God has purposes for it. Follow me into series three to see God's love and comforting purposes for it.

PRAYER: O Lord, now or later, I consecrate my children to you. No harm, injury or evil must impede or limit their expressions. That includes sexual expression in your defined confine.

EXCEPT TO WHOM IT IS GIVEN - Fitted For A Manner Of Life Series 001

Matthew 19:10-11,KJV

"10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. 11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given."

If the case of a man be so with his wife...how? If a man cannot divorce his wife for every cause except on the ground of fornication, the Bible says such husband who divorces his wife to marry another wife commits adultery while the man who marries the woman put away commits adultery also.

To this, the disciples reply, "if the case of a man be so with his wife...if he is this way handicapped, it is not good to marry." To this, Jesus gives a reply, "all men cannot receive this saying (or calling), except they to whom it is given."

This teaching or series is examining that last part of what Jesus says which is, "except those to whom it is given." What does that mean? What does Jesus intend when He says, "not all men can agree not to marry or do without marriage or the having of a companion except THOSE TO WHOM IT IS GIVEN." This, "to whom it is given", what is it?

Before we get to the answering of the question, "who are those it is given", we'll tarry for now on an introduction to whom it is given. When Jesus says, "except to whom it is given", He meant except those carrying that call. The call not to marry but remain celibates. Remaining a celibate - lifelong celibate like Jesus or Paul takes a call. If it is not given to you; if you're not either structured naturally with a body that can't avail marriage, you must have been made impotent to such emotions by men or you must have been endowed with superfluous grace of God, discipline and extreme self control to remain a single. We'll see in coming series what Jesus called these three set of people who are called to such life of celibacy.

Now, in the face of all these, one thing might be staring us in the face and that's the fact, "except to whom it is given or conferred", it is hard, almost impossible or outrightly impossible (in the words of Jesus) to receive the saying of remaining a celibate.

Like we all know, it takes calling to do certain things. When we say people are called, it means they have been chosen or destined to do something or achieve an intent in particular. For that task, they'll have natural or supernatural equippings for its achievement. The way God has created some of us, we cannot receive the saying to avoid marriage. Avoiding marriage means avoiding sex and we're just not ready for that because we are most importantly not made for that or wired to live that way. That's why it's not every normal and completely healthy human being in their body has become a Catholic Father or taken a vow of celibacy and abided by it. Rather, God made us ready for marriage. We came with sexual organs and emotions that'll drive it. It is this that spoil and disqualify us. When Paul says, "to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife and every woman, her own husband" (I Cor.7:2), that's what he was saying. He meant we are not all created to endure, "except for those like him who can remain as he is" (I Cor.7:7-8). Except for those who are enabled not to see it as a necessity and helped to live above that emotion or its desire (I Cor.7:37). So, on plane one, it'll be difficult to receive that saying and stay unmarried or as a celibate. Why? God, first of all didn't call us to that life by making us without emotions or by accident being birthed with damaged sexual organs. If he had called us to it, we'll probably not have had sexual organs at all. Those without those (if there are those born without it) are people who naturally can receive that saying on plane one. They are ready-made or customized for it. Just like calling is something divine that God chooses you for and chooses for you, that life and lifestyle is naturally chosen for them and conferred on them because they lack the body that desires sex. In simple term, such are like angels on earth who neither marry or are given in marriage (Matt.22:30).

If there were such people created without sexual urge or emotions and some of them were asked before their creation, they might have told God to make them completely healthy like any other man or woman. However, God chose a life of a celibate for them and to make it easier for them, he didn't give them the instrumentalities to fulfill any sexual desire. A sign that God is calling them to separation. Such people visibly could see that they have been 'enclosed" and "decided" for. They are not left with any other option but to embrace this life and road God has etched.

Calling is "except to those whom it is given." If it is not given you; if you're not made that thing or enabled for it, you cannot function as expected in it. We cry, may God enable us to live expressly and fulfillingly in our calls.

PRAYER: Show me my call and let me see what I'm most suited and fitted for. May I stop ploughing another man's field.

ACCORDED HONOUR AND MADE SPACE FOR AMIDST THE GREAT AND MIGHTY - Unorthodox Daughter Series 007

Genesis 29:4-6, KJV

"4 And Jacob said unto them, My brethren, whence be ye? And they said, Of Haran are we. 5 And he said unto them, Know ye Laban the son of Nahor? And they said, We know him. 6 And he said unto them, Is he well? And they said, He is well: and, behold, Rachel his daughter cometh with the sheep."

The Bible portion that is coming to my mind for use is in Isaiah. Speaking of the reward of Jesus Christ after pouring His soul for sin, the Bible says.

Isaiah 53:12, KJV

"Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."

That is fulfilled in the name that's greater than any other name given to Jesus (Philip.2:9-11). Looking at Rachel, that same Bible portion succinctly describes her. She actually shares portion with the great and spoil with the mighty. What likely led Laban into making a shepherd out of Rachel had earlier been hinted at in one of my earlier series. However, irrespective of the reason(s), what matters is that there's a need and a responsible soul clung to it. When the vacancy for a shepherd's role opened in Laban's family, Rachel steps in and she goes on to share name and portion with the male syndicate in the profession. Don't cry for want of opportunities. Opportunity will always present themselves this year. Whether you'll take it therefore depends on sighting and knowing it for what it is. Our theme for Year 2025 is, "We Know Our Time" and are therefore not like fishes trapped in an evil net and like a bird caught in a snare (Eccl.9:12).

Pay close attention. The first ever time that our curiosity is awakened to ask if Rachel is a shepherd (which she is), it was fellow shepherds and men of the same trade who identified her as one. They said, "see, Rachel his daughter is coming with the sheep." Coming with the sheep here is notable because it involves shepherding the sheep until they all get to the well. It might even involve carrying the little, sick or injured ones. Now, these shepherding qualities would make us probe if Rachel were not a shepherd. As we would find out, she turns out to be one just like they have hinted because the Bible acknowledges her as a shepherd in verse 9.

Genesis 29:9, ESV

"While he was still speaking with them, Rachel came with her father's sheep, for she was a shepherdess."

If we were to turn it, it would mean, "shepherds are those who follow or come with sheep." Having this definition at hand, we then can boldly say that Rachel is made great space in the profession of skilled men. For them to call her a shepherd, it means she must have passed some certain tests and endured a great deal in the discharge of the shepherd's task. More importantly, she guided, led, nurtured, treated and watered the sheep. This makes her a shepherd and for this she was recognized by same trade men when they say, "see...Rachel, his daughter comes with the sheep."

If you too won't leave, if you won't turn your back against the profession or way of life you've chosen (especially if it's God ordained), you shall sooner or later be recognized. The recognition of Rachel as a shepherd breaks the stereotype in the Bible. Even the seven daughters of Jethro aren't specifically identified as shepherds but here's someone recognized as one.

Rachel: The Shepherdess! She has become a force to be reaconwith and one of no mean status in the trade. Work at it. Stay there. You'll also be introduced with that recognized title for doing the work and living the life. You can share in the name and fame if you share in their lifestyle and sufferings.

PRAYER: May I fully embrace my calling and stick to it through thick and thin.

A DAUGHTER WITH THE SHEEP - Unorthodox Daughter Series 006

Genesis 29:6, ESV

"He said to them, "Is it well with him? They said, "it is well; and see, Rachel his daughter is coming with the sheep!"

Though a visit to India or East Africa might avail you the experience of seeing female shepherds yet it is not a popular sight. If you conduct a world survey as to if there were female shepherds or how many there be, there'll be many more who'll refute that assertion on the singular basis that they don't believe there are female shepherds because they haven't even seen one.

If not for this teaching, if I were to ask you to mention a female shepherd in the Bible, you yourself might say, "a female shepherd? Are you fibbing? Even in Nigeria where pastoral farming is popular especially in the North, their females stay at home or trade.

That tells us that the idea of a female shepherd is not very popular but there are those who do contribute to livelihood and the economy of their localities just like Oumar Sesay Farouk's poem - "The Song of the Women of My Land" said of some unrecognized female farmers.

Rachel is not a son but a daughter with the sheep. She's not the first born. Leah is but we sure have an idea why Leah didn't pasture the flock but Rachel. The Bible describes her as, "weak eyed" (Gen.29:17). That means she might have problem shepherding in intense sun or under bad weather. It also means she might easily be vulnerable to dangers in the wild since her sight is poor and not sharp. However, Rachel is compensated for in that shortcoming. She is adequate and though the second born, the sheep were committed into her care. While Laban had other male sons, yet they might have been too young to pasture then or might be monitoring other sheep. It is for all these reasons Rachel got a space amidst an all male or mostly male trade or vocation. She's a daughter not a son. Yet, she does shepherding. Does this not tell you something that your girl child can perform or achieve extraordinarily also. The Bible talking of the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31:29 says, "many daughters have done wondrously but you surpass them all."

Rachel surpasses them all. We can talk of great women and though her name didn't appear in the list of heroes of faith in Hebrews 11; she's a woman of great qualities and of an uncommon path other than the ordinary.

God might be speaking to someone who has been rejecting his daughters and is mourning for a son. A daughter can do what a son could have done for you also. Biblical and realistic life experiences have proven same to be so. Rachel (a daughter) is a shepherd. She covers her father and serves as great help to him. You'll have such benefit if you'll give the right kind of training to your daughters in order to reproduce after that great thing you're expecting. We all know the importance of education - and the right education. If you can arm your daughters with such education that'll make them highly trained and fit for their callings, why won't they perform or even outperform a male? Rachel didn't just become a shepherd. She becomes one because she takes on herself the ways, lifestyle and sufferings of shepherds. To become something means following a particular lifestyle. When Samson's parents were enquiring of the delivering angel what vocation Samson would do, they asked this way.

Judges 13:12, KJV

"...How shall we order the child, and how shall we do unto him?"

"What kind of rules should govern the boy's life and work?"(NLT).

"What is to be the child's manner of life and what is his mission?"

It is the road that makes the man. If your gold doesn't pass through the fire, I wonder how it'll turn or what it'll become. To be anything, you must embrace the ways of life of people there. You can't discharge as a man of God without our consecration! May you be willing to embrace your greatness in that manner.

PRAYER: Lord, what ways of life, manner and lifestyle should be upon me for preparation for my manifestation? I enter into it.

"16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father's flock. 17 And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock."

I made a statement yesterday which was that people are usually prejudiced against someone who wants to break the status quo or stereotype. No other persons are victims of that but these seven daughters of Jethro.

They came to water their father's flock but they were contested with, overthrown and put to flight. Beyond this literal writing, there's a meaning seething for discovery. We didn't read of Rachel being driven away from the well or once opposed by the all male shepherd squad. As a matter of fact, fellow tradesmen treated her cautiously. This is well noticed in their description and identification of Rachel as a co-professional. They said, "see...Rachel, Laban's daughter comes with the sheep (shepherding it)" (Gen.29:6). However, these seven daughters of Jethro weren't given that recognition by their colleague shepherds. It might be coming from resentment of having females in the trade or from the tyrannical rule of the male ego. Irrespective of the root cause, they were not welcomed or received as shepherds by their male counterparts. They were casted out as people who are not part of us. Another school of thought might say they were overridden because they are females who can easily be taken advantage of.

Like I began to say yesterday, breaking stereotype will call for a kind of suffering or hardship. Imagine what the first female hunter faced when she said she would become a hunter. Imagine what the first female boxer might face when she had attraction towards boxing and confessed it. The mum could have said, "so, you want to bring shame on me." It is a debatable matter and to those of that society then, an impossibility. Even in this modern world, when females seek to poke their head somewhere, they usually meet with stiff rejection.

This would also fill us with praise and appreciation for a female like Rachel who might have fought through the thick and thing of this prejudice casted on the feminine gender by the society who defines what jobs or ways of life is best suited for the genders and should not be trespassed. Having this knowledge, we're filled with more admiration for her. Though she found acceptance with other shepherds and even male shepherds, we don't know whether she once fought their rejection, hatred, aspersions, mockery and ego. How she came to win them over so much more that they now see her as a fellow shepherd is the wisdom we don't have written in the Bible literally. However which way it is, she enjoys their fellowship and probably partnership.

No one says the road will be easy on you as a daredevil who's trying to break a virgin land or achieve the uncommon. However, may God grant you favour, men like Moses who'll help regain your rights and a supportive community to cheer you on in your bid to do the classified.

This morning, I'm recalling the poem of Oumar Sesay Farouk titled THE SONG OF THE WOMEN OF MY LAND. As a tribute to the labour of some women long dead and gone but uncelebrated, it occurs to me that there may be many female heroes that were never sung. However, may God help you have a breakthrough wherever there's a hedgethrough. Break barriers and be a pioneer in that field! You won't go uncelebrated. Like Rachel, you'll be inducted into the profession and rightly called by the title of your vocation. As for Rachel, she's a shepherdess.

PRAYER: I am a pioneer female. I trail the blaze for others to follow. I am accepted and where rejected, I fight my way through. Undaunting like a lion and sweet like rose.

MADE FOR THE OUTDOORS - Unorthodox Daughter Series 004

Genesis 25:27, KJV

"And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents."

New Living Translation Version (NLT) calls Esau "an outdoorsman." Describing him from the choice of his trade, he's a man of the wild. Unlike Jacob, he doesn't love staying at home or amidst the tents. The question would be, "to do what?" For that, he chose his part and what naturally suits him which is to become a hunter. His love for the outdoors is vividly manifested in the sort of vocation he chooses as his life's calling.

I want to show you something by the help of the Holy Spirit. Being an outdoorsman is much more very strenuous than being an indoors man. As a matter of fact, when Jacob brought his mother's prepared food to Isaac under the guise of being Esau, Isaac asked, "how is it that you have found it so quickly" (Gen.27:20)? Isaac was asking because he knows that hunting for game doesn't come easily. It is an outdoors vocation. It takes a lot of effort, athletism and perseverance. You exert yourself as a hunter if you'll ever come home with a game. Such is the life of anyone whose trade is an outdoors trade. Such is the life of Rachel, the shepherdess on whom we have stayed and taught for these few days.

The Bible describes her as coming with the sheep and being a shepherdess (Gen.29:6 & 9). Do you know that shepherding is an outdoors vocation. If you don't have love for the outdoors, you can't take a vocation as shepherding and excel in it.

Joseph feeds the flock with the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah just at the age of 17 (Gen.37:2). Though young and tender, he's recognized as a shepherd and you may not know the danger that attends to shepherds until his brothers lied that a wild animal had tore him to pieces (Gen.37:33). Why would Jacob believe this lie if it is not one of the hazards of shepherds? That's one of the realities that any shepherd faces apart from being prone to robbers. Now, take all these vulnerabilities of shepherds and stamp it on Rachel. That's all she endured. Rachel must have shepherded closely with males of her time as to be dubbed "a shepherdess." She received acceptance as a shepherd - because it's even the mouth of her fellow shepherds (who are males) who said she comes with the sheep. However, she could have been rejected and contented with earlier on. You know there's this jealousy that's usually exhibited when you see someone coming into a space that is notably for certain persons or has been held or protected for long by them. It's like having a female engineer. It's usually one amidst many.

Anyone who'll do anything that's special or uncommon must therefore count the cost. Being a female shepherd doesn't come easily when it involves going distance often, scouting for pasture and at times water. All these are things Rachel was involved in. Unlike Rebekah, her mother in law and many other women who are steeped in domesticity, Rachel is differentiated by the male dominated profession she chooses to do.

Destiny will choose you what your way of life should be: whether to be an outdoor man (extrovert) or an indoor man (introvert). Who God made you will choose it! It is destiny that chooses for fishes to live and swim in the water and it's same destiny that created birds to fly and explore the space. Your calling and what you're most likely best suited for will choose you. First, it's what you're made for and as you smell it, you'll one day embrace it. Let us raise a toast and a cheer to Rachel, the shepherdess and courageous outdoorsman. She has dared to pitch her tent where many would not. She deserves our applause for pushing the frontiers of jobs and demanding for a space to be made for her (in a male saturated profession) where there's usually contest.

PRAYER: Let the call of all female children call. May they not be lost but see correctly what their calling is. Arise and fulfill your passion and calling.

BREAKING ORTHODOXY: THE STAFF BEHIND THE VEIL - Unorthodox Daughter Series 003

Genesis 29:9, ESV

"While he was still speaking with them, Rachel came with her father's sheep, for she was a shepherdess."

Yesterday, we learnt about Rachel who comes with the sheep and who was called a shepherdess. We also contrasted her with Rebekah (who we took as a generalization for other girls, their pursuits or ways of life). While Rebekah comes to the well with a pitcher on her shoulders to fetch water - therefore continuing the legacy of the traditional woman who stays indoor all the day,  Rachel comes to the well but with a staff and identity of a shepherd who's in command and with oversight of some flock. This is a great difference. This is a reflection of how some girls, ladies or women are having in-road into male dominated or saturated professions.

Rachel is your trail blazer and role model in this wise if you want to company with men and attain their heights, respect and greatness. You have one to pattern or take after. She's called Rachel, the shepherdess.

I bring you today the story of great unorthodoxy and how there's a staff hidden behind the veil. Women especially in the East are known with the veil. It's a cover but also a symbol of chastity. When Rebekah sees Isaac approaching, she took her veil and cover herself (Gen. 24:65). The veil not only symbolizes chastity but is also a token for hidden beauty and sought after grace. For Rachel, at our meeting her, the Bible didn't describe her or introduce her to us using first of all feminine qualities that make men savour female and see them as toys or sex objects. Rather, she was introduced to us in the manner and guise of a male. The Bible says, "here's Rachel, Laban's daughter and she comes with the sheep." Will a woman who comes with the sheep immediately arouses the interest of anyone? You didn't meet a powdered face. The Bible didn't say, "and she's fair to behold and she's a virgin!" Nothing therefore awakened in anybody. She wasn't portrayed as a prey ready to be pounced on in the chamber or bedroom. She rather owns the narrative here for she is called a shepherdess - one in control of sheep as if she owns them.

Rather, someone like Rebekah, her mother in-law get described in those alluring and male thirsty adornments. She was dolled and painted as "very fair to behold, a virgin whom no man had known..." (Gen.24:16).

While Rebekah is portrayed as a bride made ready for her bridegroom, Rachel (though she eventually marries Jacob) is portrayed as a groom meeting his bride. Rachel is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber (Psalm 19:5).

Orthodoxy is being broken. The fact that the Creator God created them male and female (equal partners for each other) is an enlightenment dawning on all now. May this be recognized by you! Catch it!

PRAYER: While I recognize leadership of the male in the home setting, yet I wake up to the reality that God created them or (us) male and female and as equal partners. I rise beyond female's pettiness of dolling the face only to the embrace of my calling and destiny.

THE GIRL WHO WON'T FELLOW WITH OTHER GIRLS - Unorthodox Daughter Series 002

Genesis 29:6, ESV

"...see, Rachel his daughter is coming with the sheep."

In the new series I began yesterday, God started teaching us about Rachel, a girl or female child who comes with the sheep! A sharp and contrary belief to the fact that it is a boy or male child who should come with the sheep. However, we'll be looking at how different Rachel is from another woman of the Bible. To me, Rachel is distinct and it is a verse like the one I started with yesterday that made her so. Imagine the Bible saying, "...and see, Rachel, his daughter (daughter of Laban) comes with the sheep."

Should a female come with the sheep? Is that what she should be doing? While others are busy fetching water at the well, cooking and doing one house chore or the other, the Bible indiscriminately says, "Rachel (the daughter of Laban) comes with the sheep." This is distinction in calling and profession I am seeing. It is untypical of females to follow the sheep. We might have an example like Jethro's seven daughters who seek to give drink to their father's sheep. Only that, that of Rachel is overwhelmingly pronounced over theirs.

Exodus 2:16-17, KJV

"16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father's flock. 17 And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock."

You might read this and even see nothing suspicious for which to regard them as shepherds but that of Rachel is undeniable. The reason is because Rachel is specifically and later on identified and called by the professional name of a shepherd. The Bible says, "while he was still speaking with them, Rachel came with her father's sheep, for she was a shepherdess" (Gen.29:9). Whether a "shepherd" or "shepherdess", it sure refers to a professional doing and discharging the same task and that's who Rachel is.

Rachel therefore leaves the class of her mother in-law, Rebekah who knows nothing but to be lost in the girls' chores. Our society is a funny one. It has carved roles for each gender to play. Women and generally females are to take the back seats and not be involved in the great outdoors. They're to be sane and good home keepers, raising in turn another generation of house keepers. However, Rachel defies traditional gender role here. He found no where else to be pitched but in what males do. She was earlier described as coming with the sheep and later called a shepherdess.

She left the great congregation of women who are bullied and regarded as inferior because all they do is stay at home and be at the beck and call of someone. Unlike her mother in law, Rebekah who meets heralds of her future husband by the well while coming to fulfill her chore of living the traditional girl's life - of fetching water, Rachel begs to differ.

Genesis 24:15-16, KJV

"15 And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder. 16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up."

Rachel is rather a shepherdess and the supportive evidence is that she even comes with the sheep. While other girls or ladies of her age are bearing their pitchers on their shoulders, she bears the staff on her shoulders! What a thing! What a breaking of orthodoxy and begging to have a space amidst the great and mighty of her time who are renown for shepherding. While other girls are lost and their stories are not even told or remembered, yet Rachel's peeps out as the girl or lady who follows the sheep. May this distinction comes upon your children, especially the female children who might be discriminated against or are less wanted, esteemed as capable, gifted and talented as the male children in our society.

PRAYER/CONFESSION: I'm a girl child. I'm strong and mighty; able and capable. I'm not a toy or just an object of sex. I function in my office and calling. I am a shepherdess.

HERE COMES RACHEL WITH THE SHEEP - Unorthodox Daughter Series 001

Genesis 29:6, ESV

"He said to them, "Is it well with him?" They said, "it is well; and see, Rachel his daughter is coming with the sheep!"

This verse is one of the strange verses you might see in the Bible. Strange in the sense that it says a female child comes with the sheep. You might need to check who the Bible says come with the sheep again and again. But irrespective of how long or how many times you check, the name you'll find there is that of a female child or lady, Rachel.

Why would Rachel come with the sheep? To come with the sheep here doesn't mean ordinarily following the sheep without having a thing to do with them. It doesn't mean as the sheep are being led to the well, Rachel follows them so that she might fetch water for the evening or cooking. Rather, she follows the sheep because it is her job to follow and see to their welfare. This immediately arouses our suspicion if Rachel is ever a shepherd or shepherdess. Is she called or regarded a shepherd ever in the Bible? Would Rachel make it into the prestigious record and hall of fame of those who keep sheep or cattle in the Bible? Was she ever inducted by a specific identification as a shepherd or is this all we have as evidence to guess whether she's indeed a shepherd or one who just follows the sheep?

In days to come, you'll be seeing this with me. This is the story of the girl who comes with the sheep. I once read a story. It's the story of a boy who caught a wolf, hid it under his clothe from his commanding officer but won't cry (as not to arouse any suspicion) even as the wolf bites him. That story dubbed him, "The Boy Who Won't Cry." How should I dubb Rachel as given away by this passage if not as, "The Girl Who Comes With The Sheep." Even if there are no further biblical proves to ascertain if indeed Rachel is a shepherd, I'll be doing some good comparison of Rachel with another closely related woman of the Bible so that you might see that there's something peculiar and extraordinary about Rachel who the Bible describes as coming with the sheep. Something gives her away as a shepherd. It sets us thinking and that's the fact that, "she comes with the sheep." Looking into the Bible, that is not the testimony of many female children, girls, ladies or women. They are rarely described as "coming with the sheep" or as "shepherds." As such, let us focus the light of analysis on Rachel, the lady and daughter who comes with the sheep.

PRAYER: My girl child is distinct. She isn't inferior but loaded with gifts and armed with high calling just like any esteemed male or man. What a man can do; a woman can do also!

FULL OF THEM - Full of Them Series 006

Psalm 127:5, NLT

"5 How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be put to shame when he confronts his accusers at the city gates."

The Bible didn't say, "how joyful is the man or woman who has one?" It rather says, "how joyful is the man or woman whose quiver is full of them." We all know what a quiver is. We know it houses arrows. But beyond that, arrows housed in a quiver are in a state of continuous sharpening as they grind, press or go to and fro in the quiver. The quiver houses and sharpens therefore. That's the function and role of any parent. Not only to house, provide shelter and other welfare for their wards but to train them for destiny purpose or for their individual calling.

Arrows in a quiver are being reserved for use. There's no arrow drawn from the quiver by a shooter that undergoes another sharpening before being put to use. No! No one does that. It is believed that they are ready already. Only that they're in a waiting state. Getting ready for demands to be made on them or for their names to be called for a specific purpose.

A hunter might see an antelope now and draw an arrow from the arrays he has in his quiver and shoot it at that animal. The purpose that serves would be killing the hunt. He might draw another only for the purpose of making a mark on a tree or plucking something from a tree. So, arrows don't have the same specific assignment though all might hope to be sent on errand when there's a debate, clamouring, accusation and struggling at the gate.

Just like a father or mother do have his quiver full of them, a nation can have her quiver full of them. So much more that when they're counting world renown, influential or most impacting persons, they'll keep referring to a particular country. There's no way you can talk of Nobel Laureates and not remember the Jews who off course are of mixed heritage/parentage of Blacks. Such people would mean the gifts their ethnicity or country has given to humanity or the entire human race. Those are therefore arrows that have gone out of the quiver of that nation to bless the world in Invention, Fintech, Science or what have you.

A day would come when people would ask, "what has your own nation contributed or for short, what have you contributed?" May you be able to say in the midst of that jangling and accusation that, "do you see that person? He is from us. You see that other person, he won a Nobel Laureate and he's our citizen." It is that that settles the matter.

That is why the man whose quiver is full of them is joyful. He is joyful at what they can become or be used to do. Imagine if it were one man who fathered Pele, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos. They'll be deemed to be arrows from that man sent into different spheres to have effects. That's why that man is not described as "happy" having only one but having many and having them fill up his quiver like Joseph who brought Ephraim and Manasseh from between his knees. His father asked, "who are these?" His reply was, "they're the children God has given me in this place."

When you're questioned or when the need arises, may you have representatives to present. May your family, nation, continent not lack such great men that we can look back and in turn dubb as arrows because they manifested as same. Indeed, happy is the man whose quiver is full of them and that's because he can and will be represented well.

PRAYER/CONFESSION: I am not ordinary but mighty and renown. When national saviours and deliverers  are called, I am one.

YOUR QUIVER IS FULL OF THEM - Full of Them Series 005

Psalm 127:4-5, NLT

"4 Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior's hands. 5 How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be put to shame when he confronts his accusers at the city gates."

I pray for you, "you will not be lean in spirit, soul and body. You will not be deprived." Have you seen those expecting for long but who haven't received before? It doesn't have to be expectation for a baby now. Such eventually become weary and if care is not taken, dry! They'll lack joy or any motivation. For them to do what others are doing speedily and effortlessly, they'll need a doze of encouragement or stirring for same. This is when by experience you can learn how the joy of the Lord is usually anybody's strength. Anyone without joy is usually weak even if he is not hungry. However, God is changing your narration today if you're in the region of my description. The Bible is very very clear and specific when it says, "the land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; 16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up" (Matt.4:15-16). Now, God didn't flash His light to any other place but on those and to those who are in the region where darkness is. Those are the people who need that ministration and God gave it to them. Everyone who's where they are who has become weary or dry because they lack the joy that comes from being blessed or having received, God is answering you today.

The Bible says in Proverbs 13:12 that  "hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life." The Bible says, "how joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them." What a thing when your quiver is full of children! Quiver here is metaphoric of your house, person or entity. "To be full of" means to have abundance of something. That made me say God is set to give you abundantly until you can have the testimony of your own quiver being full of it. However, this blessing can be decided by you like the manna that is measurably gathered according to what each man can take or eat (Exo.16:21). However, God is ready and not withholding from you blessings that'll fill your house.

Your quiver - house or knees will be full of them. Henceforth, you'll have one or two to show for it. When there's a call at the gate awaiting a response, you'll have one or two to answer and attend to same on your behalf and for God and His kingdom's sake. When it concerns finances for the kingdom, you'll have wards to respond. When it concerns being deliverers for their nations, you'll have one or two that'll be called deliverer of this nation and recognized so. Today, your face is saved and you evade disgrace. Because of this blessing which Yahweh shall therefore give, instead of being lean, you shall be fat like the tree of the Lord that is full of sap. You'll be joyful and remain joyful. You're not deprived of any good thing. Your hand has it all.

PRAYER: I am full of joy. Anything that'll complete my joy is received in Jesus' name. My children are notable - men of renown in their fields and callings.

CONFRONTING THE ENEMY AT THE GATE - Full of Them Series 004

Psalm 127:5, KJV

"How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be put to shame when he confronts his accusers at the city gates."

Do you know that in every culture there's a respect that follows you especially if you raise notable children? Having or raising notable children - ones that can confront the enemy at the gate is not only the heart cry of many people but is also the outcry of God. God is looking for representatives everywhere. God is looking for ambassadors everywhere. One thing that amazes me is this. There's no where where God is not represented. Even if it seems that a place has been islamicized or notable for resisting the gospel, never think God is handicap and has no one who fears Him or does His will there that would be ready to defend and sanctify Him as holy. God is well represented everywhere even if He only has a pint of people or just one. Our God is never stranded. In every nation, aisle, valley, mountain, jungle, city and even home, He has someone who He could take and use for His own glory. He has someone He could breathe Himself into (inspire) and have him or her do His sovereign will.

People, just like parents desire having children in order to escape disgrace or embarrassment, so also do God desires having children who would carry His aroma, name, values, emblem and institution worldwide. While Satan has gone to town creating needs in the lives of people and causing them harm, God is looking for those to fix into the seven mountains of the earth and every place where humans could be found to destroy the works of the devil and bring down His kingdom on them.

God, while testifying of Abraham says, "for I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him" (Genesis 18:19, KJV). "After him" to do what if not to abide by all God has commanded should be done? It is when all these are adhered to that Christ's values and the kingdom's are spread, imbibed and practiced by all. God is looking for those to use as His extension, rod, arm or witnesses to the world. How I pray that you'll have an opened eyes to understand and say, "God, if you give me, I will give him back unto you." It is such people with the heart of Hannah that God is answering now. God does not want to give to lose again. He's giving to gain more. When He sows Jesus (through His death), He reaped all of us. While Jesus conquers hell, death and the sting of death, God is expectant that you also will arise like a colossus in your calling, get administered and indeed manifest as arrow sent on errand. If God has you, He shouldn't be reproached any longer. If you're there, you should stand up for God and the kingdom. Therefore, God is seriously counting on you.

PRAYER: Lord, I am ready to stand for you when the need be. I carry the flag of Christ's kingdom. The gate of hell shall not overcome wherever I am.

WHY GOD GIVES TO ALL - Full of Them Series 003

Psalm 127:4-5, NLT

"Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior's hands. How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be put to shame when he confronts his accusers at the city gates."

There's a reason why God gives to all of us. It is so that none will appear before Him empty handed. It's also the reason I'm perceiving God might want to give to you too.

It's so that when asked or when requested of, you can bring forth one or two from your quiver or from in-between your knees. God does not want you to be without feedback. Effective communication is said to have taken place when a feedback or response is received. In same manner, you cannot be deemed to be effective or responsive until you have children that can answer for you. God wants to give you yours. It is the will of God for you in particular to be blessed and to carry yours. God shall not withhold any good thing from you. "Any good thing" the Bible says.

Psalms 34:10, KJV

"The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing."

Psalms 84:11, KJV

"For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly."

YOU are both a God seeker and an upright man. Today, God wants to give you so that by that one or two issues you will have, you'll be able to wrought and defend His will at the gates.

What God is looking for are representatives of Him and His values everywhere. He's looking for those to reproduce Himself through and thereby pass Himself to generations to come. If you'll stand well as one through whom God could pass Himself to your kids, why won't God give you two or more? Why won't God fill your quiver with them? He knows that having children won't be for show or the afflicting of the barren as Penninah did to Hannah (I Samuel 1:6). He rather knows that your having a child will be to be able to stand unashamed and speak with the enemies in the gate. If there's one enemy that we are called to confront and destroy his work, it is Satan. Jesus manifested for that purpose and everytime we realize sonship, we ought to be destroying - wearing out, tearing down, degrading and making null the works of the devil.

I John 3:8, KJV

"...For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil."

God has found no other to use than human beings or vessels sold or given to Him. Those God would likely find readily available and useful are those who have been raised with that mindset and for that purpose. That's the purpose those children in your home should serve. That's the purpose those kids in-between your knees must discharge at growing up and realization of themselves. It doesn't necessarily mean becoming pulpit ministers but rather fulfilling same purpose irrespective of where they are. Nothing else. Just that.

May God open our eyes to see that God is raising seeds for Himself at this particular moment. You must know the time that has come upon the world just like our theme for Year 2025 says, "We Know Our Time." At this time, God is seeking those who can go around, bring the challenge to the enemy and destroy his work wherever they find it. Will God find you and your seeds useful?

PRAYER: Lord, I accept your will over me and my kids. I submit to it. Be it unto us according to your word.

WILL MEN PUT IN YOUR BOSOM! - Full of Them Series 002

Luke 6:38, KJV

"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."

I said, "good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over...will men put in your bosom." Say, "amen" to that! This Year 2025 might be reaping season for some of you. The Bible is clear saying, "to everything there's a season and a time to every matter on earth" (Eccl.3). Some seeds might have been sown earlier on in your life. You might have even forgotten them. However, they shall be raised to speak for you. Resurrection or remembrance of seeds afore sown is a big biblical reality. The Bible speaking of Abel says in Hebrews 11:4, "by faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh." Also, we read of Cornelius.

 Acts 10:4-5, KJV

"4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God. 5 And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:"

Though Abel was dead and possibly buried, his blood still cries or speaks. That typology means a long buried or sown seed could come back to speak. You might have sown your seeds (which is typical of having buried them) but you shall find that which you have casted on the water (Eccl.11:1). It is not lost. No good doing ever disappears. Rather, it is being accrued as deposit for you. It has been going into your investment and savings plan. That's why the Bible admonishes us not to be weary of good doing.

Galatians 6:9, KJV

"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

Same is written in II Thessalonians 3:13. It says, "let us not grow tired of doing good." The Bible even says some have entertained angels without knowing and obviously for this reaped a harvest and blessing greater than what they have sown or given (Heb.13:2). Examples would be Abraham and Lot.

However, I'll like to draw your attention to a place in that verse that says, "good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over will men put in your lap." Yesterday, we read of Joseph bringing forth blessings of children from between his knees. Today, we're meeting a like word that says, "...will men put into your bosom or lap." How many of you has something being weighed unto you or into your lap before? Or has anything being weighed to you that you need your lap or bosom to cringingly support its weight or quantity before? That shows it's massive or very much.

That's why the Bible suggests the idea of measuring it into your lap or bosom. Your lap or bosom is much more wider than your arms. Your bosom not only comprises your lap but your upper temple and a part of your belly area (for support). A thing weighed into your lap or bosom has much space to occupy than the one weighed into your arms. For this reason, God is saying the harvest you'll have in return for having given or sown in service for His cause or humanity's is such that'll be abundant to the extent that it'll be measured in your bosom. Or did you not hear the description of that blessing? Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over will men put into your lap.

Say, "I don't collect small small things. What I collect and that which is measured to me is always big and over weighing. They are big big things."

That it is coming as a good measure isn't okay. It'll be pressed down (to accommodate more), shaken together (to be evenly distributed on all sides to also accommodate more) and after all these are done, the result would be that the blessing to be given to you is now running over. That's what would now be collected, carried and emptied into your bosom or lap as if it were a truck sand of tipper being offloaded unto you. At its offloading, how would it look? It'll fill the space. It'll exert weight and occupy space. Amazing things are your portion this year.

You see, the kind of blessing that's allowed in your life are those that fit these descriptions. The kind that when estimated or valued, we must pass through the "good measure stage, pressed down stage, shaken together stage and running over stage." Such blessing in anybody's bosom isn't small. It is huge and collosal. Receive the story of your big things from now!

PRAYER/CONFESSION: Good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over blessings will men put in my bosom this year. I am enlarged to receive my enlargement. I receive my big big things. Oh! Visitation of big things.

THE ABUNDANTLY BLESSED MAN - Full of Them Series 001

Genesis 48:12, KJV

"And Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth."

The image being painted here vividly reminds me of a picture where my father has two of my siblings in-between his knees while the rest of us surrounds him. This imagery of having children - not one in between one's knees shows having abundance, being full or being blessed.

I know that some might choose not to marry, let alone give birth. It is by this they'll be marked as eunuchs for the kingdom of God if their dedication is for God and the furtherance of the gospel. There are other eunuchs anyway (Matt.19:12). However, having children and having them as arrows in a quiver paints the image of a blessed man.

The Bible says in  Psalms 127:3-5 "3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. 4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. 5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate."

Note the statement that says, "happy is the man that has his quiver full of them." Now, take that statement and compare it with the imagery of having children in-between one's knees as portrayed by Joseph who has Ephraim and Manasseh in-between his knees. You'll observe that what that suggests of Joseph is the picture of a blessed man. A man that has and has and is comforted because he has. He's a man that has and can be said to lack nothing because he has the crown of creation as his reward! He's a fulfilled man - not lacking in joy!

The Lord is starting this year with the fact that He wants to make your quiver full of them. He wants to make your knees to be full of them. He wants to bless you with one, two or three so that you can bring them forth from between your knees for certain purposes as fit their callings and destinies.

For waiting fathers and mothers, God has not forgotten you and it is not ordinary that God is leading me to proclaim to you that your quiver shall be full of them. The valley of dry bones is not in want of bones. It is full of them (Ezek. 37). Why should you be in want constantly for children? Does it seem you have none now? When others are pushing their own forward or bringing them out of their knees in fanciful and ecstatic joy, it looks as if your own knees are empty. However, Jireh (the Provider) says I should tell you that you shall not be disgraced. You shall have and to 'spare.' You shall have and have to send on errand. You shall have and have ones that'll become pride of parents. So shall it be. Welcome to a New Year where you're full of all blessings!

PRAYER: Father, my quiver is not empty nor is my house void of joy. Abundance upon and all around me as I journey this year.
