TAKING THE WINGS OF THE MORNING - NOW Series 015

Read Psalms 139

Psalms 139:9, KJV

"If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea"

God is the God of opportunities. The opportunities He avails us that we take is what lead to our enlargement and being called the favoured. Opportunities are to your blessing one way or the day if taken. It is also fleeting and momentary. That's why you have to cease it while you may. If you seek to travel to a very far distance, one thing that's profiting is to wake early and set out to that place. A setting out early also means early arrival even if the journey is far. Imagine however setting out at midday or later in the night, one's arrival can't but be later than the ones who started earlier. One of the opportunities that God present to anyone that walks this earth is to take the wings of the morning. The wings of the morning has the inbuilt potential to catapult or further you. Some things are just best done in the morning season of one's life or even the day. An early setting out by taking the wings of the morning also means covering much ground or being able to reach the farthest of the sea (destiny or purpose). That is, setting out early can make you finish your course. Has the Bible not said it is better to bear the yoke in one's youth also [Lamentations 3:27]?

The "yoke" there is that of discipline or of being corrected until perfected. Do you believe it's in the morning stage of a man's life that whatsoever adjustment he needs to make should be made. Enduring correction is fit for a time like that and not a time when one will count it an insult when the righteous corrects one. At a later time, correction or adjustment may be costly. If it's good a man bears the yoke of disciplinary measure or mark in his youth, when fitting should a man launch out in purpose for his future? As a youth. In his morning years. Those that start early are those that can push their vision to a greater extent before departure. May I tell you? Your morning years or season is an opportunity God offers you to further why you're here on earth. If you take it, you'll reap the advantages of not letting it slip. In the morning years, you may not always start perfected but as you walk every inch of the way, the journey processes you and you're processed until it shows for all to see that you've been on this road for long. How will it be gauged? Your profiting will appear to all men to see. See the wings of the morning as a flight that is ready to convey you and many to their destination if they take it. In the physical, we board flight to convey us to places. Destination that lies in front of us are covered and sure to be covered because we leverage on a transport system that goes where we are going. Child, you too rise with the dawn and set out on the journey of purpose. Your progression is measured in levels as you go. The path of the just is as the shining light which shines more and more unto the perfect day [Proverbs 4:18]. The step of obedience you take early in your morning life when you take this flight of discovery of purpose will put you at a level in your twenties, another in your thirties, yet another in your forties, yet another in your fifties etc. As you celebrate decade on decades, it will be farther in achievement. However, this is only to those who will hear and heed to start today, to start now and be partaker of those that take wings of the morning to arrive at the uttermost part of the sea (the most distant part of destiny or its peak). This is your leverage. Use your morning years to further yourself. When others are attacking purpose for the future's sake, don't be a child who dines. Wake and leverage on the wings of the morning. Laying burdens on one's youth and using it actively well will bear much mark on what one will become. There's no foundation of a building that's not crucial to what it will carry. Take the flight while you may. Your body and mind can't endure the rigorousness of purpose at old age. It is only at a particular age that waking early comes so easily even naturally. Old men don't have much place they want to travel to. So, they can't but relax, take things easy and coast along: depending on and eating the work they've done in their accumulated morning and afternoon seasons. May season not pass over you!

PRAYER: Propel me. I commit myself to purposeful living in my morning years. I receive the testimony of covering distance.

FEEDING TIME - NOW Series 014

READ I Kings 19:14-18

I Kings 19:7-8, KJV

"7 And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. 8 And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God."

There's time to sleep; time to wake; time to eat that which has been prepared and time to walk in the energy of that which has been eaten. Elijah was woken; told to rise and eat also. His was not in a trance like Peter's in Acts 10. In reality, an angel presented him food twice and told him to eat it. You must have heard of those who went to consult and were given specified meals to eat before. The one here was  food for physical strength though food has a lot of significance and place in the Bible. The food served Elijah translates into the Word of God in the New Testament. You must not eat it once but let it be daily. It doesn't mean however that God can't supernaturally even by angels bring you physical food. Testimony abounds.

I said there's time for all things. Even to wake and eat as in today's passage. When the angel came those two times, he said, "rise, eat" and gave the reason for the feeding during the second feeding as "the journey is much for you." This is the mercy of God on Elijah. This is food he didn't labour for though food that perishes. The food was prepared and brought by the angel. Not only once but yet another time. Today, "you'll receive yet another time." What could have happened if he didn't eat? He won't be able to journey even to mount Horeb. That's why the angel said, "the journey is too great for you." Antidote to journeying that far is therefore eating that much. You must understand that the journey was too much for Elijah before he ate. After that, the journey was brought under his subduing power since he has been equipped for such long journey. God is fair. He'll equalize you with what waits ahead. What an opportunity he didn't miss. God cares for your journey too and when He came for Elijah, he indeed rose and ate. Your time to feed will come. It may even be now. If you enter into feeding time, it means expending time is in your future. The feeding of Elijah was not for him to sleep on forever. It was to journey to Horeb, to that far. It is God who knows our future and due to this, He'll come at time appropriate to begin to spend Himself on you and train you for the future ahead you. Your feeding time is your opportune time. Time of feeding that you mustn't miss or else it will result in a permanent shortage in your destiny. It was out of God's resources that bread was baked for Elijah twice. When you're to be used by God, He bears the cost. You'll be shocked how He does it. Dear saint, identify if this is your feeding, training and taking-in season. The great future God has for you hinges on your preparation and concreting inside. Some will faint on the way due to little or no food which leaves them with no stamina while some will journey on until they become all in the will of God. What you have inside is what you'll manifest. What you acquire is what you'll live by to display. So, spend time acquiring truth. Buy it if that's the cost. It will in turn preserve you. After the feeding, Elijah went forty days and nights to Horeb without fainting, becoming sick or resting. It was a straight marathon and this is God's will that when we take off, we will go all the way and reach the peak of destiny in calling. Taking off isn't as important as reaching. However, if you don't feed when you should feed or when your generation mate are, your manifestation will be delayed. When they have become issuers of commands in their places, you'll still be receiving equipping for destiny. That's the danger of still sleeping (in sin) when others are awake (born again) and getting ready for destiny (by being fed). Those of you who don't see church as training centre should repent also. Bread is baked in bakery but Christians made in church. Yet, church has lost this sacred calling of equipping men for rather doing other transactions [Eph. 4:11-14]. When your mates are bearing the yoke, don't put on the garment of celebration. There's a fitting time to be enlisted. Enlist now when the food seeks you.

PRAYER: I repent of my laissez faire attitude towards kingdom training. I enlist to be trained. May I not miss my time and entry into kingdom things.

GREAT AND EFFECTUAL DOORS WITH MANY ADVERSARIES - NOW Series 013

READ Judges 14:5-9

I Corinthians 16:9, KJV

"For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries."

What is all this now? Why is it that other things are showing their heads besides opportunities? Paul spoke of the door of ministry being opened to him here. He called it a wide door (one that will allow you do a lot you desire to do) and effectual door (actively supporting ministry and its reward). That is, the kind of opportunity that will avail him to doing the kind of ministry he wanted or desired to do. That's the joy of any minister in any land.  However, beside that opportunity, there's a thing contesting for that opportunity from being effectively utilized or utilized at all. This verse is one of the many that reminds us that the presence of opportunity won't always mean there won't be besetting hindrances to it. As a matter of fact, many things that may want to benefit you may be guarded and surrounded by challenges that hinders accessibility. Castles and houses of treasures in ancient times have been reputed to be guarded by knights, dragons and some other fearful created realities or illusions. Like we've said in afore teachings, you'll know a thing is an opportunity by how it has presented itself. Like this one also, it is not an ordinary door that was opened but a great and effectual door. A door that's the prayer of any evangelist to win souls for Christ, plant churches and revive the body of Christ. Meanwhile, those who hinder the gospel being preached are easily found around such opportunity of preaching the gospel. Where do preaching the gospel sounds better doing than the Arab world or Saudi Arabia itself? Imagine you having access to a gold mine but where two lions have made their den. The Arab world is a place populated by those who need Christ. We can call it an uncultivated or little cultivated land that needs tilling. It teems with many souls that are yet not born again.  They're like fruits on a tree that is good for food. However, there's no road to get to such tree. One hindrance is just present. In many Arab world, preaching the gospel is forbidden and though missionaries are doing it, they're just being restricted.  Paul found himself in such dilemma also. In these last days, opportunities that will be coming the way of believers will look like that also. Did you not consider that Samson couldn't have gathered honey if he did not first kill the lion? The honey would come from the carcass of the lion but till its death, no delicacy should be expected from the strong. That's why Samson himself posed a riddle describing the sourcing of a sweet thing (delight, opportunity, joy of anyone) from the strong (challenge, problem etc).

Judges 14:14, KJV

"And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness."

But before sweetness can come out of the strong, did you see the effort he gave? Though he did by the anointing, if it wasn't a hard thing that requires superior strength, the anointing wouldn't have aided him. Will you flee because your honey is kept in a lion? I hope you've heard the cliche statement that's popular in Nigeria which says, "money is hidden in the lion's mouth." That saying is as well metaphoric. It means in acquiring wealth, hard work will be sacrificed and other requirements. Becoming wealthy won't just fall on you. No matter how easy anyone describes his getting his wealth to you, he still gives attention.

Great doors will be opened for effectual services but what if many adversaries show up to contend it? Will you turn back? I'll say, don't. The throne was ahead David but Goliath must be evacuated. Paul stayed. He said in the preceding verse that he'll stay in Ephesus for the fact that God has opened a great or wide door for effective ministry for him despite the contesting hindrances that grows beside it for rivalry. Whenever you see opportunity that's clearly marked as God given and  many adversaries by its side, just know the other is the handiwork of Satan to resist God's will from being done. Should it be when the opportunity of bearing the gospel well was opened that the gates of hell would raise contenders? Something seem programmed and targeted into that time frame. Meanwhile, don't worry. When opportunities are being hindered this way, clearly receive God's encouragement to go for the opportunity while triumphing over the hindrances. Let your morale booster be the joy in front - the wide effectual door. Keep persevering for that sake.

PRAYER: Lord, give me discernment to separate between opportunities and adversaries. May the fear of the lion not keep me back from eating its honey.

IT IS BECAUSE SAMSON HAS BECOME PREY - NOW Series 12

Judges 16:18, KJV

"And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand."

A prey is an opportunity. Ask me and I'll prove it. The Bible says, "How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up? [Deuteronomy 32:30, KJV].

In the case of Samson, when the Spirit left him, he became cheap, soft and was taken as an opportunity (a prey). Delilah also speaks here in a very close manner Caleb spoke. She said, " come up this once. It means "this final unfailing time" in that context. The Philistines had gone some times before but Samson always snapped awake. This time however, Delilah assured that what she severally had sighted as opportunity but missed as indeed opportunity has become opportunity indeed. So, she sent words, "come and gloat over him. Come and take your profit and do with him whatsoever you wish". What happens when they arrive indeed? Did Samson not behave as an opportunity indeed? He did because he couldn't resist them. They therefore captured him and made him into a toy - leveraging on him as an opportunity.

Judges 16:21, KJV

" But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.

That's the fate of an opportunity. It's an opportunity that doesn't looks threatening since what's threatening in it has been taking care of either by removal or the altering of your own understanding to see it in a new light as no danger. When Samson was complete - with God on him, who dares touch him let alone touch his eyes? That will be  risking death. But after he was made an opportunity, it doesn't take much to have his submission. It was even a young chap that was leading him all around.

Judges 16:26, KJV

"And Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand..."

Do you know why? He has been reduced to an a cheap commodity. I hope you've heard of dogs that can't bite before. That's an opportunity for robbers. It's to their rejoicing that what makes it threatening has been disabled. I pray for you that what can harm the devil in you won't be lost. If it is, it is restored in the number of years you've been without it. No one will be able to take you for granted or rub their hands on your head anyhow. In my home land, Nigeria; we have a sarcastic saying that's said to anyone that dares a vehicle on motion. We'll say, "why not, since what kills in it has been removed?" Samson became a prey and all respect was lost for him when he was shaven. This is how people use opportunity and deal with it. I pray that what is harm in what you're seeking to possess will lose his wonder, awe and fear. It will be easy for you to subdue.

PRAYER: Pray for all ministers that cross your mind not to lose God. Pray not to lose same.

AN ENCOURAGEMENT TO GO UP AT ONCE - NOW SERIES 011

Numbers 13:30, KJV

"And Caleb still the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it."

What did Caleb see differently from others? Why will he be saying, "let us go up at once and possess it?" In essence, he was also saying, let us go and take our profit. We've been allotted it, let's now go and practically make it ours. Don't forget Canaan has been promised them and repeatedly said to be theirs to possess by God. Their having heard this over and over should have produced a strong faith in them. Yet, others were seeing contrarily. God, in the midst of those who won't still recognize what their opportunity is, give me eyes to see what I should even not exercise fear or doubt over but rather go over at once to possess. What does that language, "going over at once" means? It means without further consideration. Without any examination. Without further thought of the matter whether it's an opportunity or entrapment. "Going up at once" means charging, leaving what is at hand and reaching immediately for this one on which you've been instructed. Does Caleb look like someone in doubt from what you read there? Did you not see how he silenced everyone and issued out a command as if he was Moses, their high leader. When you have seen rightly and have known correctly, your behaviour will deviate from that of the great congregation. Caleb knew one thing that others didn't.

Let's settle for ourselves if Caleb will advise they go up at once or that immediately if Canaan will be danger to them? That's where his assurance also came from. He saw their opportunity as opportunity. To others, their opportunity masqueraded as a threat. What's the threat? The giants in the land. Report said the Israelites look like grasshoppers.

Numbers13:33, KJV

"And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight."

That there's a little hindrance between you and your opportunity doesn't eliminate it from still being your opportunity. God had spoken that Canaan is their inheritance [Numbers 13:2]. This may be one of the reasons for the firmness of Caleb and believing of Joshua. What does God describe that target to you as is what matters. If the target is revealed to you as your opportunity, make a move and worry less of the giants. Giants are not gigantic when God calls them your prey?

Has He not said, "to you and your seed will I give Canaan? [Genesis 12:7].

PRAYER: Remind me of your promises when I'm doubtful of possessing.

WHAT I HEAR IS WHAT I SAY

WHAT I HEAR IS WHAT I SAY

What did I hear that's special that I'm telling you before it springs up? You should ask me what I heard that has become declaration in my mouth to be handed out. Look here, it is, "the sound of the abundance of rain." What makes a prophet a prophet is that he hears and he speaks. What he says is what he hears and what he hears is what he says. Therein is where result is for him and the great congregation that eagerly awaits God through this channel only. I'm hearing the sound of abundance of rain. Rain might have tarried for long in your house. Joy might have gone on vacation for long but God has have mercy, the floodgate has now bursted open. I said, "it is open!" Something blessed is to happen. The heaven is about to give its rain for you even if it seems this is not the season of that rain. That I said it by the Lord rather means it will rain. I say one more time that I hear the sound of abundance of rain in your life. Things that have dried will spring up again at its arrival. That's what rain does. It rekindles hope. Receive rain!

I Kings 18:41, KJV

"And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain."

Those of you that have been afore sad, gloomy with all head bowed down should revive because of the news of rain. Rain is what Ahab was looking for. It was absent in his nation and land for three and half years until this declaration by Elijah. Elijah told him, "go and celebrate" because I see good news, your very long expectation at hand. For Ahab, it was rain. For you, it may be expectation A or B. That thing, I hear it is at hand. For that sake, begin to rejoice even as it seeks to descend like the sheet that was led down from heaven by its four sides.

Your dancing, rejoicing that it's coming is both an act of faith and thanksgiving to God that you have received what has not happen but will. Prophets are one of the great exercisers of faith 'cause they call what be not as though it is. The prophet said, "I hear the sound... That is, though it is not raining yet it will rain. That he hears it means it is near or very near. And before they knew it, rain rushed at them. They even had to run to escape it or else it will beat them mercilessly. Look, what you've been expecting is coming with full force, with shoots and roots. You must quickly put preparation on ground for it lest you're stopped. It will be heavy. I hear the sound of abundance of rain. The kind that will lead to a mighty flood like one that can sweep away. Weeping might have tarried for a night but I hear joy and rejoicing. Like a mighty rushing wind, it will rush at you. Receive rain into your life. Water shall be in your house. Receive the  long awaited blessings. So shall it be. Because I said it, it is so. God said, "say it". I said it and now it is so. So, go and sleep!

GOING UP AT ONCE TO TAKE OPPORTUNITIES - NOW Series 010

READ I Samuel 17

1 Samuel 17:48, KJV

"And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine."

If something is danger and you perceive it so, will you not have sense enough to flee from it? It is absurd if that's what you swiftly go to embrace. This to David shows Goliath was at all not a threat. David saw Goliath as his opportunity. The profit he must take from the market place at once. He didn't withhold but went for it. If you know opportunity as opportunity, won't you embrace it? Whenever Satan wants to scare people away from their inheritance, he'll camouflage opportunity as Goliath and presents it so to them. That's why people are afraid of what is tall. Like adults who want to scare a fella, Satan will be saying, "come and see in a sarcastic intimidating way". So, they'll flee. O Lord, redeem all children of glory, whose is the head of Goliath and his sword but who have suddenly turned back from honour. You may wonder, why would he do that? Was he not afraid? I said he was not. I had said if a thing is an opportunity to you, you'll know because you'll have  assurance after assuredly gathering and believing it so. It's this knowing that will develop a concretized base in you towards propelling you into an action of faith. Don't forget that when David got to the battle field, he had every chances to be discouraged or flee. Did we not see others flee including Saul as Goliath speaks? Was David not human as well? However, why didn't he flee? Unknown and unuttered to anyone, David was receiving an urge to go ahead. From nowhere, a boldness rises in him to take on the job. Somehow, God didn't allow him see as men do see. God rather helped him to see like God would see: unfearful and seeing the job at hand as nothing but which could be likened to the lion or bear he had killed.

1 Samuel 17:36, KJV

"Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them..."

God changed his perspective of seeing things. God changed his heart to be made ready and strong for the task. People said, "are you crazy? Don't you know what you are saying but he kept being crazy because what was urging him on wasn't conventional or general revelation to all. David kept asking, "who's this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the army of the Lord." If Goliath is uncircumcised (not having the Abrahamic covenant of circumcision). David has. So, from that revelation, he knew he has God on his side. When you're to face a harder task but begin to regard it as one of the simplest tasks you delivered on the last time, then you ought to be checked. Your temperature ought to be taken! No one says that whose confidence isn't protruding from somewhere. What thing has presented itself to you that looks like Goliath but is your opportunity? God said I should commission you to draw near to it as it draws near to you. Is it an exam, fee or debt to pay, surgical operation to do, childbirth, interview, answering a query etc, draw near to it. Don't reverse. It's not a threat. It has no strength but is only big. You're a covenant carrier in the spirit. That guarantees you winning.

PRAYER: [Act to be done]. Get any liquid, preferably oil (to symbolize Holy Ghost). Smear it on your head and receive what I say. "Receive effrontery and the power that confronts, make light of big problems and see through the needle of faith.
