OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM - Our Travelogue & Travails Series 005

Acts 28:4, KJV

"And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live."

If humanity exists without any justice system, the hearts of many would be set to do evil. It is also the same when the law refuses to execute justice at a go.

Ecclesiastes 8:11, KJV

"Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil."

Having a justice system encourages being good over being a criminal and a violator of community laws. It's clear that the islanders of Melita have a justice system and believes in justice. Their deduction might be wrong on why a viper fastens itself to Paul's hand, however, it is clearly portrayed that justice is a world wide phenomenon whether with the barbarians or the civilized.

They inferred that for a venomous snake to have fastened itself to Paul's hand, it is because Paul was a criminal who though has escaped the sea, justice isn't allowing to go scot free. They've indicated that a criminal ought to be punished. According to cosmos and God's laws, offenders ought to pay. A murderer is someone who has taken the life of another [intentional as it might interest us to hear here]. If Paul were one - having a record of such recent case which has not been pardoned, then he ought get punished according to God's justice system. God is the One who puts order in place and for order to be, there must be a system of rules and regulations that will keep the body of people under or reward the obedients. He calls order out of disorder at the beginning (Gen.1:1-3). A revelation that God is interested in order and not disorderliness. He asked Cain why he was not his brother's keeper and also punishes him accordingly for Abel's murder (Gen 4:9-13). Another revelation that God takes interest in how we treat our neighbors. It can't interest you to do evil while believing in escape without retribution. The law is the one who maintains recourse between you and your brother and it should be on nobody's side. Wherever the law hesitates however, God's or cosmos' justice system shall take effect. You can't bribe that.

The sanctity of the human life says no one should take it unnecessarily. For this reason, God seeks to protect lives - same is what any law of the land does. So, when the barbarous people inferred that Paul should pay for what he has done, their minds have gone nowhere but the universe's justice system and I'll say until a society is governed by an impartial justice system, justice can't reign. Justice should be able to catch up with anyone irrespective of status or background. If you do it, you should pay for it. However, many justice systems are corrupt and justice is all overlooked or bought over.

God is addressing the issue of justice this morning. He has put nobody else in charge but what we call government today.

Romans 13:1, KJV

"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God."

It should be our prayer that the government established on behalf of God to bear rule in every nation shall discharge holily and not judge after the sight of their eyes but rather in judgement and God's fear.

Isaiah 11:3, KJV

"And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears."

PRAYER: God of all flesh, teach the nations Your heart. Let Your sense of justice be known rightly by all.

ALWAYS RECOVERING - Our Travelogue & Travails Series 004

Acts 28:6, KJV

"Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god."

May you always recover. Comebacks will be your testimony. That place says, "however, they looked when he should have swollen or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds and said that he was a god".

This will be your perpetual testimony. You will always recover to make comebacks. What does the Bible say about the righteous falling and coming back? "For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again" (Proverbs 24:16, KJV). I pray for you today that salvation will be near your house. Comebacks in your to and fro and in any trouble you might enter into.

What you must know is that as long as we live on earth, we can't but enter into troubles. We don't have to be the cause as you'll testify but life can't but happen. However, if you'll survive and continue to live on, what you must always have is recovery, a comeback or what the Bible succinctly calls salvation.

Psalms 91:16, KJV

"With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation."

If you're denied God's salvation when you're in trouble, you'll sink, get choked and might pass out. It is salvation that draws you out of the miry clay or many waters, setting your feet on solid ground. If not, the quick sand had swallowed you up. That's why the Bible guarantees long life for anyone who keeps getting saved from his troubles. That'll always be consequential. It says, "with long life will I satisfy you and show you my salvation". Long life doesn't become an experience except salvation - saving from trouble is first of all activated. The man of God, Sunday Adelaja, the pastor of the largest church in Europe said he was called and labelled a lot of things when he began ministry and God began to move things for him. He said he was likened to North Korea dictator's leader and that many national and international newspapers spread rumours about him as being a cult leader who hypnotizes people. Moreso, being a Nigerian born leader, they called him a drug lord. He even confesses CIA monitored him for three years to discover nothing. It was when all was revealed that he knew. He said in that audio message of his I listened to that he dreaded what next would be published about him each day. His members had cried for him testifying about his integrity. He also had locked himself up to pray 10-15 hours once a week asking God for all the help He could muster for him. At the end, the victory came and he was recognized as a godly influencer and a rare African who's a gift to Europe and all the world.

You see, that was salvation that worked for him. If not, he could have died - ceased because of the many cases filed against him. He could have been falsely sentenced! Imagine a minister appearing in court like money appears in your hands. You yourself would have thought there was an iota of truth in the accusation levied against him. You'd say, is he the only minister in town and why are they coming after him only? But God preserved him by granting him salvation from all his troubles. This leads to the long life and the present life he's still enjoying. I even watched a video where he testified of how he escaped from Ukraine when the war began as he was a major target. He left with nothing. Scarcely could they pick toothbrushes. But look, God granted him salvation and he yet live. Thank God for his salvation and recovery from all our present troubles.

Paul got bitten by a snake and he could have died from it. However, recovery answered. As a matter of fact, those who knew the process of things and how long it takes for the poison to choke waits for him to yield up the ghost. But when they looked that he should have swollen or fallen down dead, yet nothing happens, they had to change their minds. Look, I proclaim recovery over you, your health, family, finances, business. I'm picking there's someone whose child is sickly unto death there. I proclaim recovery. Let God's salvation draw him or her out of the many waters of sickness. Salvation! Salvation! Salvation!

The king Darius rushed to the lion's den where Daniel has been sealed to die. He cried, "Daniel, the servant of the living God. Has your God whom you serve continually being able to save you or not?" Daniel replied, "O king, recovery has answered! Salvation has worked for me!" Look at how he puts it to the king.

Daniel 6:21-22, KJV

"21 Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.  6:22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt."

Did you see that? Yesterday, I was ruminating on the expression, "where there's no doctor". I know there's a book like that. Then, the Holy Spirit said to me, "where there's no doctor, you can pray!" Therefore, where the charmer can't charm today, God is ready to help. Over all situations that are dilapidated and are already collapsing, I declare, begin to experience recovery. Recover! Know God's salvation and amend from that corrupted state to the perfect model. Everything, anything that has being spoilt, plundered, dispersed is being gathered back now. Paul recovered, Daniel was recovered, Adelaja was recovered, you're recovering also. I heard something now. "Recovery from every wound, especially wound of the head". Anyone wounded on the head, be healed. Let your leadership power be restored. Salvation is walking and surging your highways now. Amendment is being done. Yes, amendment. All our missionaries are saved. What they'll experience at every juncture is God's salvation!

PRAYER: Father, I enjoy recovery, salvation and amendment. I see the end of all arguments and I last.

NOT ACCORDING TO THEIR THOUGHTS - Our Travelogue & Travails Series 003

Acts 28:5-6, KJV

"5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. 6 Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god".

There's a way everybody has walked. Forces and ancestral spirits might seek to mandate you to follow that same path. Once it's the way or path that leads to death and reduction of humanity in life, you should refuse going such way. Yes, firm in your faith and warfare.

A viper fastens itself to Paul's hand. Seeing this, the islander of Melita labelled Paul a criminal who though had escaped the sea, justice is still not letting go. With the viper having bitten him, they expected he'll foam or suddenly fall down and yield up the ghost. However, this never happened even after Paul had shook the beast into the fire. The Bible records that the natives even waited a great while to watch their expectation come to pass over Paul. Their waiting a great while became caused by two things. One, snake's venom in any human being takes some time to react and prove effective. It needs to get into the blood stream and circulate, choking life. While a viper is one of the deadliest snakes there be, yet the process is still the same. Two, they had waited a great while because it took longer for the poison to prove effective on Paul. They were wondering why it had taken so long and had proved abortive. So, after waiting, they waited again because Paul seems to be defying the situation and the normal processes of things.

For the islanders to have waited a great while or awhile for the poison to work in Paul, it means they are as well familiar with the process and could therefore time or predict the poison's effectiveness. If there was a wristwatch in their days, one could have looked at it and said, "in fifteen minutes time". That's why they waited and then waited a great while to reascertain the effectiveness of the poison. That's why they set a certain time range for Paul to manifest the poison's effect.

"Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god".

Mark the expression, "they looked when he should have swollen..." It means they were timing Paul to begin to manifest, scream, dance around and fight for his life. However, they never saw it.

What the Lord is putting in my mouth to say is this. Defy situations! Don't go the ways of others. The islanders have learnt by experience how long it'll take for that venom to work. It's what they've seen people died of. Paul wouldn't be the first victim. It was therefore from such experience they predicted Paul's fate and timed him to manifest like the so many they had seen. However, Paul didn't go the way of their thoughts. He walked a new path entirely. The path Paul walked was so novel in their eyes that they said Paul was a god.

Here comes the testimony God wants you to live up to. If ancestral early death or whatsoever has been getting people in your lineage, you should be the first man to defy that process. If onlookers and those who know the history of your family line predict that it'll soon be unto you as it had been unto others, you can surely shake it off, defy the situation and live on without harm or any loss. They'll look at when you should have swollen or fallen down dead suddenly but it'll never come. You'll still be here and that'll be because the redemptive blood cries and silences every other voices calling for your blood. New story could begin to be written from you. The Bible records that when they awaited the poison to take effect on Paul and it didn't, they changed their minds and concludes Paul was a god. God can use you to change the minds and notions of people. God wants to set you forth as such testimony. If you'll take the provision of Christ, stay under His shadow and live to invoke the abilities of His redemption, you can break what has been breaking men and women where you are that you know. It may be that no one has spent a full term in an office you're vying for. Probably, something has always been kicking them out or off. But you can go to spend two and change the narratives.

It's therefore my prayer as it's God's that you'll see another day, go another mile, celebrate another birthday and defy all limitations and break processes that have been known to be sure. You're the one chosen to become a god to that situation like Moses is a god to Pharaoh. You have power over it and I could hear the Word of Jesus saying, "and nothing shall by any means hurt you."

PRAYER: Nothing shall by any means hurt me. I escape. I triumph. I am the new man on the new ground.

BE WEANED OF YOUR MYTHS - Our Travelogue & Travails Series 002

Acts 28:4, KJV

"And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live".

We began by looking at the word "barbarous" and using some of its meanings to make definitions for our teaching. While we've been able to establish the Islanders of Melita as not being barbarous but kind men, yet there's another side that proves them so. This is what God wants us to be weaned of so that we might take a change from glory to glory until we eventually have His semblance. God will keep adjusting us in the mirror of His word until we take full dressing and are aligned to the properness of His mind. Irrespective of your growth or maturity in Christ, there'll still be weight or fat for you to shed off. If you'll follow Christ on, you must see with Him whenever He points them to you.

The Islanders of Melita sure have their beliefs, culture and even myth. They don't stop inferring that's how something is because of something that they'd observed or thought to be. As the stick pretending to be snake fastened itself to Paul's hand, they theorize immediately from the multitude of their belief system that it is because Paul was a murderer. Though he has escaped the sea yet justice seems to still be seeking him out for vengeance. This is a myth and none of us would have believed it as myth until it was proven otherwise and the natives exposed as men of mere guesses who don't seek to find out real causes of things. If Paul had really swollen up and died from that viper's bite, the natives would have said, "they said so". However, things didn't go the way of their guess or belief at all. Without Paul being privy to what they had said of him. He shook the beast off into the fire. Even after that, they still awaited the poison to circulate, take effect on him that justice might be satisfied over Paul. They awaited his swelling up. However, it never came. They just didn't see such day. They were baffled.

You see, they were all proven wrong. Their myth was exposed. This is what makes any still barbarous. If you do not find the truth before you establish the fact, you're barbarous. It doesn't matter what city you live in, what city life you enjoy or what calibre of people flock around you. The moment you reduce yourself to wishful and easy thinking of causes of events without the due diligence of seeking out, laying bare, questioning, observing, interviewing, gathering witnesses' reports and even experimenting, you're no other but a barbarian. It might not show that fast but you'll soon be exposed to have been wrong all the while. The natives of Melita could have gotten away with their thesis. Those who heard what they said who also believe in God's justice system might as well believe justice was trying to get Paul considering the fact that he was even a prisoner. "Who knows if he is a murderer", they might have accented? However, they were all proven wrong. After they had waited long enough to prove the certainty of their guess and seeing nothing happen to Paul, the Bible records that, "they gave up and assumed Paul is a god."

Acts 28:6, KJV

"Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god".

Look at how quick they changed their minds again. That tells you their first thesis was not a grounded one. If it was, they wouldn't immediately agree they were wrong. They'll rather investigate why their findings didn't work. When you're given to suggesting and casting answers on life which have not been tested or proven, when you're suddenly proven wrong or when your principle refuses to work, you'll agree immediately at being wrong. I mean you'll easily be reproached and boxed to a side by a thesis that seems raving and acclaiming in the meanwhile and that'll be because you never gathered the assurance that stems from having done one's own due diligence. However, we ought to be noble men who won't just give in to compromise when defied and that'll be because we have a certain measure of confidence in our original findings having found it out indeed.

Imagine this, "after they had looked a great while and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds and say he was a god". On that wise, they were correct. Paul was a god in the human flesh. He has the divine blood running through him. He enjoys divine healing and protection. Having being bitten by that viper that fastens itself to his hand yet didn't swell up or fall down suddenly (as the natives have learnt and affirmed it should be to any who gets bitten by such snake) proves Paul indeed to be of a supernatural stock. Meanwhile, their calling Paul a god is not that they understood what made him a god. They didn't investigate that.  However, they felt he had supernatural powers. If not, he should have suffered the fate of the rest they had known. They only used the broader term, "a god" to excuse themselves from investigation and proper query again that could have given them much answers than they had applied and forced on Paul (though correct). Today, God is calling us all to become diligent investigators in our fields who do his due diligence and follow a process of testing to arrive at his answers. You may not follow a scientific method but give due diligence before you publish your results. If you're proven wrong, you might be forced to change your position and relinquish your claim. Anyway, you should be humble to do that and accept the defeat of having not given scholarship and diligence in research and fact finding. Those are the truly barbarous men!

PRAYER: Lord, give me the patience, diligence of an enquirer. Secret things belong to You but that which is revealed belong to us and our children forever.

THEY CALLED THEM BARBAROUS PEOPLE - Our Travelogue & Travails Series 001

Acts 28:1-2, KJV

"1And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita. 2 And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold".

The word "barbarous" has many meanings and we shall begin to teach and consider some truths right from some of these.

Our evangelism and making of disciples never end. God is the One who locates us in the next field to till. He sees right and so allocates us rightly. How Paul got to the Island of Melita was something not planned by him. It's something more of God's providence than man's foreknowledge. Though God had told him, "they'll be cast on a certain island" after escaping the sea and its turbulence, yet Paul and others wouldn't have wanted to be shipwrecked or be diverted from their course (Acts 27:23-26). Paul couldn't have imagined what he met there. As a matter of fact, what he saw there far outweighs the imagination of any missionary if he were called to testify.

They didn't know what Island they were cast until they had arrived ashore. In that angel's revelation to Paul, the name of the Island was not given. The Island is obviously a cut off from the thorough touch of civilization for we read that the people are barbarous - uncivilized and uncultured. If they are uncivilized, there's a manner they might have been expected to behave. They might have been expected to be unfriendly, violent and rude. However, these islanders and natives proved to be otherwise. For we read that as soon as they were cast on the Island, they made fire for them, took them in so that the escapees could have shelter from the present rain and the consequence of cold.

It's God who justifies us even when men wrongly thinks of us. It's not your business to seek to speak for yourself. That may even be lack of humility at times. However, He that sees it all can as well win all and sooner or later, men's opinion of you would be different. We should be free from, "what do they think or are saying about me?" It's a bad snare that'll make you obedient to men instead of God. You'll be engulfed turning men pleasers.

The Bible reports them to be "barbarous" or "barbarians". They are not different from the Piraha people in the Amazon world of Brazil that Evangelist and Missionary Linguist, Daniel Everette once went to convert. The Piraha people are mostly untouched. Though, there had been a delegate of missionaries to them - to live with them, learn their language and translate the Bible into their language so that when preached to, they might be converted, yet all failed until Daniel Everette was sent. He became the first to break the code and understand the Piraha language. Though he failed to have them converted but his contact of the Piraha people is no different from Paul's contact of the people of Melita. The two natives could be both described as "uncivilized". They are cut off from the often touch of the general world. They rather live by their own beliefs, cultures and myths - untainted by the world around them.

You know the Melita people are lost in their own beliefs and myths considering what they thought Paul must have done wrong for vengeance of death to still have sought him despite having escaped the sea (Acts 28:4-6). This is nothing but a myth. They expected him to swell up from the viper's bite and give up the ghost. However, that never happened. Like I afore said, don't speak for yourself. Let God speak for you. His sole voice will drown a thousand voices with preconceptions or wrong notions of you. Your defence can't do much. It'll only raise more arguments and doubts. I know a God who clears men and makes him welcomed in people's mind.

Today, the barbarous are no longer uncivilized. It is the civilized that have become barbarous. We should be weary of calling ourselves Christians without Christ like characters or fruits to establish same (Gal.5:22-23). That makes us barbarians! Also, how often do we think the rough would be the unrefined? Only to discover that he is a gold wrapped in rag and a gift to humanity. This is who the Islanders of Melita are. Contrary to the opinion of men about them [considering they were cut off from the regular touch of men], they were called, "barbarous". However, they proved not to be one. Their act of kindness proved everybody who had called them barbarous or might have expected them to act uncivilized wrong. Let us all fight with acts and not with mere speech. One echoes louder and wins without arguments. The Bible has spoken conclusively on this when it says we should be doers [instead of mere hearers] - James 1:22. How often do you do the Word of God so that men may see your good work, be converted and give glory to your Father who's in heaven.

This is Day 1 of this series. You're welcome to the Island of Melita where they said the barbarous people live. We have found the barbarous to be friendly anyway. This is our experience so far in our journey and encounter with men as we preach Christ. God always surprises and surpasses our imagination as what we thought difficult and hard are cracked and opened nuts at our arrival. Today, I pray for you, you'll meet it differently. Trusting God for all missionaries at distant, isolated and forsaken lands, God will shut the mouths of lions for you. The barbarous will become friendly with you and they shall give ears to the gospel.

PRAYER: Father, let us meet it differently. Let the unfriendly become our friends. We have a better testimony. Your gospel is preached and men are discipled.

THE BLESSEDNESS OF THE OPENED EYES

II Kings 6:17, KJV

"And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha".

We have to pray. We really have to pray that God opens our eyes to see. Not seeing is a deficiency. Blindness is not an asset but a vulnerability to many dangers. It's only a blessing for the blind to have as its guide he who sees. However, it pays to see for oneself. It pays to have the faculty that's aware personally and without looking unto any one for revelation or notices.

In today's reading, the King of Syria would want Elisha to be arrested for having exposed much of his military plans. Having gathered intelligence on where he dwells, an operation "Catch Him Young" was sent by this Syrian king to nip Elisha in the bud. It's this that brought the many horses and chariots that have themselves surround Dothan. Indeed, Elisha is grinded in human parlance but for God who is with him.

When his servant observes and sees this reality, he shouts desperately and wonder what they shall do - how they shall escape. However, Elisha is well confident because of what else he has seen. Apart from the physical reality around them, he has seen the spiritual reality that's for them. It's this succour he provides for his servant when he says, "they that be with us are more than they that be with them". However, this only scratched this servant, it yet didn't build faith in him until Elisha had prayed that he be brought into same position and status as he. He therefore prays that God will open his eyes. In a jiffy when this was done, the servant sees the entire valley filled with horses and chariots of fire. Only then could he agree that they that be with them are more than they that are against them. He saw their resources. He saw the beings that are not ordinary or physical yet tangible to influence the earth and its realities. In this wise, he resolutely rests in the provision of the Lord. How many times have we feared because of what we see - dread as physical fear but to the neglect of our divine resources that is more able even to the pulling down of great strongholds (physical or spiritual).

Brethren, we need to see. We need to see beyond the physical that's common and is the special privilege of all. We can see through and see into the world of the spirits, discern good and evil; demons and angels. We need to see. We desperately need to see! Some have shared how it's not only humans that live on this terrestrial ball called earth. One might take it for a wonder and deem it impossible but if God should open your eyes to see, you'll observe that not all humans are even humans. If Elisha's servant's eyes were never opened, he won't know as reality that apart from physical horses and chariots that there are on earth, there are such models in the spirit.

Paul praying for the Ephesians says this.

Ephesians 1:16-18, KJV

"16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints..."

Whether your understanding is opened to conceptualize the Word or God's plan and activity on earth or you have insight into divine knowledge, all is a form of seeing - because it involves knowing being granted you. And until you see, you can't understand deep things. There are heights that we can attain, there are blessings that we can have and that's to have the blessing of the opened eyes. Even Psalmist hollers in prayer that his eyes would be opened.

Psalms 119:18, KJV

"Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law".

He knows that without the opened eyes, without the scales falling off from the eyes and the capsule or casing of the Word being broken, he can not penetrate or see any wondrous thing from God's law. One thing is consequent upon an opened eyes. You will see wondrous things! Things that you cannot all describe. Things that until you saw you never believed existed. My prayer is short, simple yet shall be again effective on you today. It's that God will open your eyes/understanding. You'll know God's love plan for you and see into the riches of His glory. You won't be deaf and dumb children. When God pipes to you, you'll respond accordingly and you shall altogether fulfill your very purpose of existence. You won't miss out of the will of God because the Lord will open your eyes to see wondrous things (deep and uncommon revelation) from His Word. This way, your path will be naturally ordered and you won't fall into the pits of many. You're therefore saved. You're therefore delivered from what will happen but which like Elisha you have seen and now get warned by or warns others of. I see you with the blessed seeing faculty.

PRAYER: Lord, grant me the blessing of the opened eyes and understanding. Enlighten me and let me see wondrous, awe causing and troubling things.

FILLED AND THEN TO OVERFLOW

John 1:16, KJV

"And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace."

Today my Wing brothers and sisters, I'll be describing those two experiences above. They are what you can have. They are experiences that are possible, can and should be consequent in your life. Your season can come for you to enter into each of them. One precedes the other. Being filled precedes the experience of overflowing. By the anointing today, you shall begin to experience being filled and then you shall experience an overflow. Just believe in God and then believe in me, God's anointed. In this way, difficult things shall be made easy.

At Cana of Galilee, as Jesus readies to turn water to wine, He instructs to fill some six water pots with water.

John 2:7, KJV

"Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water..."

At day's end, we have this report, "...and they filled them up to the brim" (John 2:7b). There's a huge difference between filling something and then filling it to the brim; having something and then having it to the fullest. A huge difference there be between both. It's possible to be an owner of something but a scanty possessor of it. However, it's possible to enter into the experience of "receiving grace for grace" from God until one is really filled to the brim. To be filled to the brim means to be blessed for one self, lacking nothing that can delight and comfort oneself. You automatically become self contained. You get where your own hands can meet your own needs any time, any day. However, there's another level and that's the one Psalm 23:5 talks about when it says, "thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over". Now, here's a new experience - different from being filled to the brim that makes one able to support oneself. This rather describes a vessel - a person who has so much of something until he constantly gives or pours away of same.

That actually describes Jesus in John 1:16. The Bible says, "of His fullness have we all received grace for grace". Jesus has a fullness - to the brim or filling the room blessing. But beyond that, He pours into us on daily basis. No one can pour into another yet doesn't have an overflow or an issuing spring that renews him. Not having a spring or overflow is a signal to a soon drying up.

You might also need to be taken on a reminder that as that widow in debt pours the oil into one vessel to set it aside by itself, the oil keeps pouring because it's actually operating by a spiritual overflow. As long as there are vessels to pour oil into - to call oil out from this original giving jar, oil keeps pouring though the oil in the pouring jar doesn't fill its jar to the brim. However, that little oil has suddenly being enlarged and blessed to give away abundantly (II Kings 4:6).

Where do you want to stay? Where you're filled to the brim with heaven's blessings or to go a step to where you're not only filled but you overflow, and because you are, you shed your fat and abundance of overflow to others? When I hear the term, "shed fat" or "lose weight", I wonder. Only those with excesses go into such exercises of shedding  already accumulated and overflowing fat or weight. If you're slim like myself, what excess of body fat do you need to shed when your wife's effort and prayer is that you'll even add weight?

God told Abraham that He'll bless him and he'll be a blessing (Gen.12:2). There are blessings that are personally contained. They become a pool. They are not rivers neither streams that run to bless others. I don't want self contained blessings only. I want a gift for all, an anointing for the nations.

It's my prayer today that the Lord will shuttle you into the next level of joy. It's my prayer that'll you'll leave being filled to the brim to entering into the overflow experience.

PRAYER: Lord, top me up with blessings until I'm filled and then overflows.

THIS BEGINNING OF MOSES' MIRACLES - My Very First Day Series 008

Read Exodus 3, 4:1-9

Exodus 4:1-2, KJV

"And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee. 2 And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod".

This second verse above is a response to the refusal of God's call on Moses to be the chosen vessel by which Israel will be delivered from Egypt (Exo. 3). God has met Moses in a bush that burnt but was not consumed and now He's commissioning him as Israel's deliverer but Moses says, "they will not believe or listen to him and that they'll say the Lord didn't appear to him". On this note, God decided to start with Moses. God decided to convert him from his own doubt and unbelief first of all. He began just by asking him a question. "What is that in your hand?" Moses replies, "a rod". God told him to throw it down. He does and it on site becomes a snake. Seeing that, he flees from it in fear. God then teaches him how to handle it. God told him to pick or grab it up by its tail. When he did, it became a rod again. This way, God works on converting Moses from his own doubt by proving a sign to him.

To further concretize him, God asks him to dip his hands into his bosom. He does and when he brought it out, it turns leprous. God asks him to repeat the process and when he does, his hands become cleansed.

By these two established signs, God proves to Moses that it is He who appears to him. More so, God also told him that if any of these two signs won't be believed, he should perform the third. He should collect water from their river and pour it on dry ground. In a jiffy, the Lord said, it'll become blood.

Though Moses would go on to still doubt God yet this is the beginning of Moses' miracles. The glory that Moses would manifest forth, for which He'll be referenced as God's sent servant actually began secretly here with God when he was taught how to do miracles.

One time, I had a dream where I was being taught how to administer a ministration. This is also true of an elderly coveted minister and General Overseer headquartered in Nigeria. He would see a divine hand writing something on the board and a divine voice teaching him what to teach the body of Christ. So, the fact that God teaches Moses how to do miracles or admnisters signs isn't strange. As a matter of fact, I praise that. But without deviating from our line of study and theme, the years to come of glory that Moses would reference; the parting of the Red Sea he'll always remember and for which the entire world would remember him had its roots first in the beginning of his miracles at the backside of the desert at Mount Horeb. If you're looking for a day to mark for Moses when he started being used to do signs and wonders, this is the day. The day he threw an ordinary staff down and it became a snake while the cycle came back to itself again; the day he puts his hands in his bosom and it became leprous to the recycling of the process was the very day Moses began to move in signs and wonders. Till then, he was never capable of anything supernatural.

Many ministers have shared when they noticed signs and wonders, healings or miracles in their ministries. W. F. Kumuyi, a Nigerian minister who has an international ministry that's uncompromising talks of his reading the book of T.L. Osborne on healing the sick as if he were preparing for an exam. He said after reading the book by marking, underlining and making all its content his meditation, he just began to observe that even at Bible study, people began to give testimonies of being healed. Yet, just as he taught them. The signs and wonders began without his having done it consciously or his being aware himself. It began by looking at the reports of those who sat under his ministry. That's how he took off. That was his day of signs and wonders. That was his beginning of miracles. Just like Jesus' was in Cana of Galilee (John 2); Kumuyi's could have been in the University Campus of Lagos (UNILAG) where he started the ministry with 15 members during his first year as a lecturer.

Everybody has his first day - that day that when remembered, it would cause glory and worship to be sent back to God. Oh, how I thank God over my life. I remembered the day I launched the ministry without conferring with any flesh and blood. First, it started with the name Youth on Morning Wings and we operated by that for months before it was rightly articulated into Morning Wings Ministry. I pray, may our beginning always humble us. May we not stop where we have started. May we pursue a more excellent ministry and see all that litters this road of the calling. May we go on to know the Lord.

PRAYER: Lord, cause me not to shrink back. May I see my better days. Here's my vessel, start with me.

THE BEGINNING OF SAMSON'S MOVE - My Very First Day Series 007

Read Judges 13

Judges 13:24-25, KJV

"24 And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the LORD blessed him. 25 And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol".

In the course of this series, I hope you've encountered God and have been taken back to reminisce how you've fared till now and how you've administered the grace that God gave you since deposit. Or, have you been a waster of the resources with which God says you should see to the welfare of the world? God forbid!

Samson is another man whom the Lord started with. He became very great in the will of God. A one man battalion who has the testimony of "heaps upon heaps...(Judges 15:16)." Such is his own testimony. By his hands, God begins to deliver Israel out of the hands of the Philistines. Many times what we remember of great men and God's vessel is their glory days only. We rarely remember their days of stirring when they were just developing their wings, seeking to fly. However, Samson just didn't start as a champion without a beginning. God began with him somewhere and you'd be surprised to know that it was while in the camp of Dan. That's where he lives and God came there to visit him just like He walked into the garden to visit Adam and Eve.

Genesis 3:8, KJV

"And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day..."

God can walk into your space also. As a matter of fact, henceforth, you'll begin to experience Him unusually. Don't buy into the lies that some sells and spreads saying, divinity doesn't come to unite with humanity. When the Holy Spirit visits you, that's exactly what'll happen. You'll suddenly be made strong and capable. You'll be then made ready for use and harnessed for your course. The testimony we have about Samson is that, "and the Spirit of God began to move him at the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol". You might ask, "to what end is this move?" To the end that he might be used to deliver Israel. That move is what he has never experienced before. But one day like that, he made the record that the Spirit of the Lord began to visit and move him at Dan. All began at the camp of Dan. That's the place where the Lord started with him from. That means Samson also has his own history. He just didn't fling to rising to become someone that put thousands to flight or one that reaps the testimony of "heaps upon heaps". No, he started very small. He started while a lad we might say. When the stirring began, he would suddenly experience a power feel, an excitement and a propelling surging him on. He'll suddenly feel powerful and enabled to do extraordinary things like lifting weights beyond his age or that his natural physical power can't bear. I know some of his mates could have seen him as a show master. Whenever any had anything to lift and it coincides with this Spirit stirring, they might have called on him to help out or he might have volunteered. At such times, he could run miles and not get tired. At such times, he could do the impossible and what boys of his age would call others to come and watch in utter amazement. During that stirring and propelling towards giving deliverance to Israel, he began by testing his anointing out and he found out he could do supernatural things. When the stirring is not there or the Spirit has not rested on him, he found out also he's as ordinary as any other man. All these are the truths concerning his life. Samson had a time in his life when the Lord just began with him; a time that his training and testing of his supernatural wings for flight just started. This is a call to parents to observe closely what interaction their children are having with life and spirits around them. Here's the Holy Spirit moving Samson. What spirit moves and motivates your own kids? A child went to visit an aunt and there he contacts pornography! Imagine that boy being initiated into the unfortunate for the very first time in his life. That's how some adults became who they are just by one wrong initiation in their youths.

You know, Samon's life and beginning reminds me of Joseph. A lad probably of the same age when God began to visit him too. The Bible recorded this concerning Joseph.

Genesis 37:2, KJV

"These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives..."

This place affirms his being seventeen. That exactly was when God started with Joseph and started coming to him through the gift of revelation (dreams).

Genesis 37:5, KJV

"And Joseph dreamed a dream..."

This dream Joseph had at the very beginning of his life would lead all the way to the greatness he'll have at the apogee of his life. Everything we talk of Joseph ever achieving have their roots in these his first dream(s). Same applies to Samson when the Lord declares His intention to walk with him and use him by first visiting him again and again for acquaintance with the kind of anointing He's giving him.

Everything that Samson would call a miracle, wonder or the supernatural all started and had its firm roots at the stirring of the Spirit he received while at Dan. It all started there. Those were his humble days. Samson would go on to kill heaps upon heaps, tear a lion as a kid, carry the gate of a city, catch foxes and do the impossible with them etc. However, all these feats of Samson could be traced back to the beginning of it all - when God's Spirit began to visit him while at Dan. If we were to write or author the biography of Samson, it could have been, Samson: Peeping Into The Beginning Of Life Of A Man God Used.

Nothing just springs up like that. There's always the first time when such man tastes of heaven's visitation and is initiated into an act or deed that he'll for all time move in. Your first time will come but you won't die there. You'll continue, continue like Elijah until you reach your own Horeb. You'll reach the height of it all. Though Samson died at day's end, yet the testimony is that he attains the peak of what he started and was known for during his days in Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol. He killed more Philistines all together at his death than what he did in all his lifetime put together (Judges 16:30). Elijah journeyed in the strength of the meal he was fed and journeyed in that strength (not to stop) but to arrive at Horeb (his destination) as set by God (I Kings 19:8). This is your testimony. You won't set early. You'll do this act you've been initiated into to arrive at Horeb. You won't say die so sudden. You won't cast in the towel that immediately. You'll fight all the difficulties and the challenges that litters the way of your calling until you make arrival. Arrival is sure and you shall arrive in Jesus' mighty name. And when you arrive, you'll tarry in glory and not suddenly be plucked down like Samson. Go in this thy might!

PRAYER: Lord, I go all the way to reach the climax of my calling and to tarry in my perfect day.

AND HE MANIFESTED FORTH HIS GLORY - My Very First Day Series 006

John 2:11, KJV

"This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him".

When Jesus turns water to wine in Cana of Galilee, one thing summarizes that act He does.

It is, "this He did and He manifested forth His glory..." The doing of a miracle here is interpreted as the manifesting forth of the glory of the Son of God.

There's a witness that a physical miracle registers about the vessel used of God for that miracle. It immediately triggers estimation of him and belief in Him. It immediately changes people's view of him. If you don't know, such man immediately is esteemed as a hero (though he must seek never to make himself one) and divinity clothed in human flesh. Though Paul and Barnabas refused worship after working a miracle at Lystra yet they were treated as gods, deified and venerated as same.

Acts 14:11-12, KJV

"11 And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men. 13 Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people."

Did you see that? Despite the fact that Paul and Barnabas had to stop them from that act, they yet still do it (Acts 14:18).

That place of consideration about Jesus says, "and He manifested forth His glory..." "What glory", we should ask? It's the almightiness of Jesus. The fact that what the Father does, He can as well do. The fact that He's not different from the Father in acts. The fact that the Son, Jesus Christ should be able to command our attention and suffice us. You know, Philip once asked that Jesus should show them the Father. Jesus told them that he who has seen Him has seen the Father (John 14:8-9). He Himself suffices and satisfies. He has a glory that is shed abroad and manifested forth whenever He does any act of wonder. It reveals Him as One to be worshipped and venerated. How great, big or of a mighty manifest He is then dawns on them all. We are struck by the fact that this is a superhuman (divinity) in the human flesh. Hallelujah!

Read what Message Version says.

"11 This act in Cana of Galilee was the first sign Jesus gave, the first glimpse of his glory. And his disciples believed in him."

It says that reveals, "the first glimpse of His glory". It means the greatness of Jesus was seen and reackoned with immediately Jesus' disciples saw that miracle. If there was any argument afore then, it died after they saw that miracle. Moreso, while the Master of the Ceremony was praising the couple mistakenly (and not Jesus) for having reserved the best for the end, the Bible has this to say.

John 2:9, KJV

"When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom."

While he (the ruler of the feast) does not know where the water turned wine was gotten from, yet the servants who drew the water that became the wine stand as witnesses (though in awe of Jesus who actually provided the wine). They also with the disciples have seen Jesus' greatness now. Jesus added nothing to the water turned wine. It was water that was turned to wine miraculously and not water that any additive or flavour was added to by following one man made procedure. So, Jesus not only manifested His glory or greatness forth in the sight of His disciples but the likes of these servants who knew for sure where the water turned wine came from. They can't but have been wrapped in awe as well (seeing His mightiness) and having known where they collected the water turned wine from. They are the best witnesses to the fact that what Jesus did was a miracle. Knowing no abracadabra was done by Jesus, they must have had cause to even believe in Jesus' glory or greatness more. I therefore pray for that minister that people lightly esteem now and sees nothing importance in or his ministry, God will answer you by giving off signs through you by which greatness of God will be manifested. When signs are thus given, perspective of men are changed or raised higher about you. It's a work God will do for you. He'll use it to fill all your valleys. So shall it be.

PRAYER: Lord, answer with a miracle where I've been despised. Be permanently attracted to me in glory.

AND THEY BELIEVED ON HIM - My Very First Day Series 005

John 2:11, KJV

"This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him".

Miracles are to a specific end. They are not done erratically, proving the minister is a superman amidst men. They are importantly for conversion. It may be from sin, Satan or even from doubt as the case of Jesus' disciples is. That place says, "this beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee and He manifested forth His glory and..."His disciples believed on Him."

It means prior to this time, though Jesus has made followers, they didn't believe or really believe on Him. Now, we have come to the nitty gritty of the matter. You have not yet made disciples until there's no doubt about your call and your position with God to them. If there remains one yearn of doubt, Satan will detach them and use them to tear your ministry down. A man is said to have made disciples when they're fully persuaded of Him and His ministry. Only God knows those who are this way persuaded of me and those who are near me but are still in doubt because they haven't seen what would strengthen their mountains in me. So, they're still looking for some sorts of physical manifestations. Some have seen this and known this of my ministry but others might still be seeking some other signs - like flying flyers of programmes everywhere every time. Irrespective of what sign you're waiting to see however before you can be converted, as long as it's not sinful, criminal or occultic, God can give it to win you. I've seen God does that for people before. He always seeks to win people over. He even converts Thomas the doubter (John 20:24-29).

But the Bible records concerning Jesus, "this beginning of His miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee and He manifested forth His glory..." This then is followed by the conversion of His disciples to believe on Him as that God sent. They therefore become ones who are ready to even rugged it out for Jesus. Peter therefore becomes a fellow who could cut off an ear for His Saviour (John 18:10). James and John also become those who could now seek to call fire on those who resist their Master (Lk.9:54). All these acts stem from having been first persuaded of Him. These men have been fully converted and persuaded of He that they have believed in and now follows. This is where God wants to bring many of you to. A place where no doubt has space in your mind; where you're totally given away and believe that person is who He says He is (just like God calls or reveals Him).

Summarily, a physical miracle when wrought converts people. So, when they see Jesus does that, all doubt is cleared off. They see the supernatural side of Him other than Bible exposition and they believed. Miracles are to an intent. Even Jesus says unless these people see signs and wonders, they won't believe (John 4:48).

Today, if you're there as a minister who has been waiting, hoping and thirsty of being ascended here, just raise your hands and receive this dimension. Whatsoever you turn will now turn. Water will begin to become wine in your hands and where needful, wine also will return to water. What you plant will be planted and whatsoever you pluck shall be plucked. You're given the mouth of Jeremiah the prophet and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Just pray for people and over situations and let people testify that when they tasted the water made wine, "it has become wine indeed" (John 2:8-10). No struggle. It's authority you're using. Go and manifest forth God's glory and turn people to believe in God, in you and your ministry.

PRAYER: Lord, use me for the miraculous. My heart is right while I desire that people's impossible needs be met.

IN CANA OF GALILEE - My Very First Day Series 004

John 2:11, KJV

"This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him".

If you enquire from my audience and congregation, they'll tell you that often as pastor writes or composes, you'll see him mark his writing with the date, start time of writing and ending it. I do this for so many reasons.

However, there's one more thing I do but which I only document in my book of revelation and receiving. Whenever God speaks to me or an event that's critical happens to me, I always document it down with the date, time and place of event.

If I should ever give you my book of revelation, you'd be surprised to see many receivings with their places of receivings, time and date. Thank God for recording. It helps a lot. At times, you yourself might forget or partially lose accuracy but thank God for the invention of documentation. It is aiding humanity in that regard.

Why record where events take place? It's critical to the event itself. The turning of water into wine didn't happen in Gaza, Tyre or Sidon. No, it happens in Cana of Galilee. The place of mercy where this holily event occurs is at a wedding - a function that any might believe a miracle ought not to be wrought. However, God chose that place for that very first miracle. For your witness to be complete and thorough, "where" must be settled. Many times when I write or speak, I usually mention specific places critical to my journey and the description I'm giving. That's to prove the worth of those events I'm narrating. If I were lying, somebody who was there at that time could confront and reveal same as a lie since they were co-witnesses. The Bible says, "this is the beginning of His miracles which He did in Cana of Galilee..."

There's always a place where people take off from. There's a place that each of us can reference in our journeys as the very beginning and start of the greatness people see us with today. For Samson, his day, experience and greatness began here.

Judges 13:25, KJV

"And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol".

I pray for you that God will begin with you. May He rightly locate you where you are or where He might transplant you. You'll be where the atmosphere is right and the people are expectant. You'll be where the people are eager to hear. If not, you'll reap the testimony of Jesus that "and He did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief" (Matt.13:54-58). You'll therefore be restrained by such unbelief and lack of acceptance in a place. However, may rightful location not suffer you. The Bible says, "he's like a tree planted by streams of water..." "By streams of water" speaks of a location or a place that aids such tree planted by the water stream. May you therefore be where your audience pines after your deliveries; where the ground is ready for the word to be sown; where rejection and unbelief are far from you. Yes, Jesus' audience pines to see His miracles in Cana of Galilee. First Jesus' mum, Mary motivated Jesus to doing something to their lack of wine. May you not lack encouragers and those who'll stir you to do the miraculous in this life. May you have the support of men just as you have of God. May you hear, "go, go" until you meet needs as sent by destiny. Apart from this, Mary told the servants standing to do whatsoever Jesus commands. All of them are therefore in expectation and anticipation of what Jesus would do. They had already received His ministry in their minds. This acceptance communicates a sense of being wanted and indeed this demand they placed on Jesus leads to the birthing of the first of His (public) miracle in Cana of Galilee. Look, may God give you people who will call things out of you. May you not have a congregation and a people that are as dead as the grave. May you rather have those who are waiting for what you'll tell them that they might obey. That's the atmosphere of miracles. You also as a minister will be able to see God in different dimensions and graciousness you've never known or seen Him before. Mary's word of trust in the capability of Jesus and the waiting of the servants on Him is therefore the first trigger for this Cana of Galilee miracle.

To God's glory, the recipient and holder of this first miracle of Jesus is Cana of Galilee. It happened no where else except in Cana of Galilee. Immediately, that place became popular. Some of you would start from somewhere. That place would be your Cana of Galilee. It's there you'll launch from and if you ever tell your story, you'd referenced it. There's always the place. It's always a specific place. There's always a place that beckons you to come to start in it. Others like Jesus' hometown would just be stiff and tightly closed to you but your Cana of Galilee will want you to turn water to wine. They'll instruct themselves concerning you that whatsoever you command should be done. They'll just be self taught. Herein, you know that you're at your Rehoboth where the right season meets with opportunities. I pray for you, you'll locate where you can start that company that would become a world phenomenon from. What will go round or does go round eventually started somewhere. There is always a place and may your place (when situated) not hinder you. May it not be a place that will murder your dreams, clip your wings and tie your feet.

PRAYER: Lord, keep my feet, sight and desires from places where the works of my hands won't be floral. Rather, set my eyes like a flint rock, direct my path to the place where men would ask of me a miracle (in what I can do and delight doing).

THIS BEGINNING OF MIRACLES: Understanding Your First - My Very First Day Series 003

John 2:11, KJV

"This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him".

What do you understand by, "this beginning of miracles...?"

What do you think that expression means if it were to be rewritten in other words? It would have been, "this is the first of His miracles..."

It would have mean, "this is the first of His miracles which He did in Cana of Galilee and He manifested His glory and His disciples believed in Him".

That, "it is the beginning of His miracles" therefore means it didn't end there. As all of us know and would testify, Jesus still does much miracles after this one. But this carries the label, "His first". From there, we learnt a lesson that anything that's first in your life should be acknowledged, marked and recorded. You must not let it go unrecognized. It is not easy to come to experience the first of anything. It usually takes time before such event appears. Imagine when you first observe you're now a man or a woman. That was at puberty when you begin to see some changes in your body or passion. That's when the guys see semen, have deep voice etc and when your body even as a female changes to begin to grow into that of adult women you know. What a thing that a girl now sees menstration come. This is what she has not experienced before. It should be marked. Tangibility and recognition should be attached to it. It's her first and it'll one day testify to her "motherhood".

Now, I was saying that being their first does not means the end of that experience. The first day a boy saw semen ejaculated and a girl, blood for menstration is not the end of those experiences. Rather, it marks the beginning of those consistent experiences.

I'm hearing my Father. My Father and Lord is near. The anointing is heavy on me. The garment is worn me now. What I'm hearing is that, "you have started and you shall go on until you reach the climax of that experience. You won't die young. You won't get cut short in the midst of your days. This experience of witnessing a change of level and being transcended has started but it will not stop". Jesus started in Cana of Galilee where His first miracle was wrought at a wedding. Water was turned to wine but that wasn't His last. The Bible calls it, "this beginning His miracles." I'm hearing, "there are many more after this".

Look at me brethren! What you have seen or what has began to happen to you is just the beginning of the experiences you'll still see and behold. Jesus would still see the dead raised in His ministry but He began with the turning of water into wine. It began with the event in Cana of Galilee. Today, yours will start and from there will flow ceaselessly ever until you reach your old age and fulfill, "and they shall bear fruits in their old age" (Psalm 92:14). Some of you who have founded something by inspiration and calling on you, you'll see that thing grow and go on to become a world- wide phenomenon. It's not staying here only. It's going there - getting throughout the places and reaching its height in its day and time.

PRAYER: Lord, let me experience grace, move in the Holy Ghost, utterance and all divine abilities and aids ceaselessly. I go on to fulfill my calling.

RECORDED FOR REFERENCE'S SAKE - My Very Day Series 002

John 2:11, KJV

"This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him".

It has to be recorded. It cannot be taken for granted. It should not be taken for granted. The beginning of anything a man does is landmark and historic in his life. So, it should be marked and archived.

The Bible records that, "this is the beginning of His miracles which He did in Cana of Galilee..." It had to be taken note of. There are so many reasons for that. One is the fact that such has never happened through him (publicly) and in His ministry before. It is therefore his starting point - very baffling and full of awe when seen. On that note, all attention and spot light was turned to that. So, it had to be marked as, "His first miracle which He did in Cana of Galilee..." First things are always very precious in our sights.

This is not different from the recording our parents keep on the day their children made their first step or first articulate words (and not babble). It becomes more exhilarating when the first utterance of such child is "baba" or "mama". It's a moment not to forget. It's a thing to always remember and pen down for that child so that he or she might know the first day or designated time he performed the miracle of speaking [which will now be carried into adulthood to remain forever in his life].

Great moments that should be marked and recorded by any parent includes birth day, first speech, first step, first schooling day, first award/prize giving day amongst others. All these should be documented and kept secured that they might be handed over to their kids when they reached adulthood. You'll see that they'll treasure and respect it as the beginning of a special day in their lives. No one takes that day for granted. Irrespective of what He finally turns or becomes, he keeps recalling that day as the beginning of it all.

I'll never forget the first day I was taken to school. I'm trying to remember faintly even as I was also told. Also, I remembered the day I packed and left home for the University. Mama (my mother) saw me to the bus stop and we both cried as I left for campus. That was the beginning of my miracles and all the great things I'll become on campus and later off campus. On campus, that day began my being president of various religious bodies and my excelling academic life there. Off campus, that day started my becoming a minister (which you know his repute now) and then a great educator also. Imagine. If that day had not happened; if that first step to campus was never taken, would I have been reputed to have been a minister and a great educator today? No! Everything all starts with that first step. That first step is the beginning of your miracles. That you take it (first of all) and then continues in it is what will make you what you should be. However, your destination begins with that first original step. It's always to be anticipated, remembered (after it had happened) and then cherished in thanksgiving to God when remembered.

Also, it was recorded in order to register a witness to heaven and to earth about Jesus and His ministry. That's also to silence anyone who might want to debate Jesus as a minister who just springs up without foundation or trace of something that has its foundation in time long ago. Those who know the beginning of Jesus miracles which He did in Cana of Galilee can't but take such on and point to him that they were witnesses of it and how it testifies of Him as the Messiah and Lord. That's why that place says, "this He did and He shows off His glory and his disciples believed on him".  Brethren, I'm not joking. Olusola ADEJUMO is my name. The Lord calls me and then anointed my head with oil (the Holy Spirit). I am raised to proclaim and declare. What I say is "so be it" because they're the very mind and declarations of God. I therefore declare that today is your beginning of miracles. As it'll be special to what God wants you to do and be, "do miracles". You'll be reputed for glory and you'll stay in it. I cause a change in your family life, situation and affairs. Let abundance take over from scarcity while scarcity gives way to your being a blessing to others. God has spoken. He who will reverse it does not exist.

PRAYER: Lord, make today a drastic turning point on things that I've made prayer points till now.

THE BEGINNING OF MIRACLES - My Very First Day Series 001

John 2:11, KJV

"This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him".

Brethren, it's a day good starts in a man's life. Anything that goes on repeating and replicating itself in any man's life (good or evil) always has a commencement date. You might have known one level of good and not be transcended into another. However, the good news is that you can know the next level of joy, ministry and purpose fulfilment that's next.

Jesus has started ministry. The disciples assuredly know Him for His teachings and so praise Him for being a teacher. However, that's not all. We can always go on. We can always proceed unto the more excellent things in what we do. Just one day, a day that no one would have suspected would have been that D-Day (because it was at a social function), Jesus however does His first miracle and then it became recorded to have been done in Cana of Galilee.

The Bible says, "and this is the first of His miracles which He did in Cana of Galilee..." His first miracle. Imagine! The beginning of his greater things. His being transcended and transported into a greater ministry other than He or anyone had known. Anyway, we may vindicate this as His first public miracle yet we should still take cognizance that the Bible vindicated it as the first of His miracles.

Do you know that even Jesus didn't start doing miracles the first day He started ministry? Physical miracles if you ask? He's the Miraculous and I'm not saying He lacked the capability to wrought miracles until when He did. However, a thing is being shown us about progress, growth and timing. There's time for everything (Eccl. 3). That's why the Bible says, "and this is the first of His miracles..." That testimony didn't come until a certain time in His life, walk and ministry. He came to a point where He did His first miracle and how would Jesus have felt? Very good. If you had put a mic in His mouth, Jesus would have spoken good things and testify really big. The joy Jesus have here is not different from the joy a couple have when they birth their first child. That joy is exhilarating and fulfilling.

"And this is the first of His miracles which He did in Cana of Galilee..."

Your new phase will come now. You'll be promoted and ascended into your next level. Receive your open door. Receive your come here hither. Enter into what is next, operate in what is next and stay in what is next. There's always a day, a day that marks the beginning of a day to celebrate or a thing to celebrate. Your day is here. This is the beginning of your miraculous days. From today that the flood gate has been opened, you'll begin to experience the unsual. You'll have the testimony of receiving God's visitation and then tarrying in that visitation. It'll be the beginning of your miracles, new days and experiences. It'll become marked that today, 1st of November is the beginning of something good but which you've never experienced before. Write it down.

PRAYER: Lord, Jesus had His day wherein it was stated, "and this beginning of His miracles." Let mine start now.

HE EVEN CALLS TODAY - What Is Purpose Series 007?

Mark 1:16-18, KJV

"16 Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. 17 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.18 And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him".

Yesterday, we saw how God called Matthew the revenue collector away from the revenue office into ministry. God do call professionals. It doesn't matter what they do or who they are. He doesn't discriminate. Rather, He uses men from all walks of life. He has intention for all men. However, something else could keep them busy until the calling that has predated them is revealed.

In today's reading, Jesus called some pairs of people. He first called Simon, also known as Peter and Andrew his brother. Later, He calls James and John. The Bible records that these four are fishers. These are professionals whose lives till then have been built on how much they can catch and how much they can sell. They have gained mastery of the water and nothing frets them of that practice. However, Jesus calls them. He told them to follow Him and then issues out a promise of who they'll be on that journey.

"Follow me and I'll make you fishers of men".

God has an intent for coming to collect anybody He marks for use. Before He came, you were busy doing something. For Simon and Andrew, they were busy casting a net into the sea. They were really occupied. These are no idle hands at all. So, it won't be such people that'll be harvested into nothingness. They must be put to work and led the brighter path that awaits them. Indeed, the destiny that awaits them far outweighs the one they've been labouring in for years. There's a big difference between been a fisher of  fishes and being a fisher of men. It is damnable for any man to lose his soul (Matt.16:26). The most precious of all God's creatures is the man (Psalm 8:4-9). God is very mindful of him. That's why the Son came into the world to die for his sins (John 3:16). As such, this is a call away into a better pursuit - of harvesting the most precious of God's creatures.

You may be there, like these two brothers - occupied with casting your net into the sea. But, what if the Master has need of you? Will the testimony over you be, they left their net right away and followed Him? I hope so. Don't miss this call. It's what others look for but which has not been extended to them. No man takes the honour of being called unto Himself.

Hebrews 5:4, KJV

"And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron".

The other called people that we shall examine today are some other two brothers as well.

Mark 1:19-20, KJV

"19 And when he had gone a little farther thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets. 20 And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him".

This one is even more graphic. When Jesus called this two, they were with their father in the ship mending their nets. These two immediately at being called like the first also left their nets, the hired servants and then their father. That's a bigger sacrifice in obeying the call.

However, it should interest that God doesn't call people into nothingness. God speaks to us when He makes Abraham our example and tells us to look at him that we might derive one comfort or the other from him when called.

Isaiah 51:1-2, KJV

"1Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. 2 Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him".

This is the beauty that awaits you. If these brethren had tarried in their fishing business, they would have done so until they died. Their lives and works wouldn't have continued to echo after them. However, the calling magnifies a man. It makes him larger and bigger than who he is naturally. It not only gives him purpose to focus and fund but also gives him reward here on earth and thereafter.

Are you there and you're thinking it's not your kind that God calls? If you've been developing burden for ministry and God's things, it might be that God is speaking to you. If you've tarried long in a godly atmosphere, your calling to ministry and its things might pop up from there also. What matters is to give obedience once we ascertain it is the Lord who calls us. Till Jesus comes for these brothers, none of them went away. That's because there's a voice that you must hear that's not like any other voice. If you're destined and called into a vocation or way of life, by the time the relatedness of that call comes, you'll notably identify it. It is always, "my sheep hear my voice and they follow me" (John 10:27). I pray for you that you'll be rightly situated in your calling. Any sort of labour at which you have tarried till now that you should be collected from for your greater good and the doing of God's pleasure shall not go in vain. I pray that you shall be harvested and that early. I pray that you won't block your ears to the call. Many are called but few are always chosen. That's not because God didn't have plans for others. He does but He has left every man to make choice of whether to follow or not. You won't miss your batch. Simon, Andrew, James and John are all a batch called into their calling. May you not miss your batch. The regret of many that miss their batches and their call is to see those with whom they were called at the same time later in their greatness and sigh in heavy regret that they wished they had followed also. May you follow and that immediately. May you have counted the cost before the eventual arrival of your Saviour and Creator calling you away into the very and proper ground you should till. That way, you'll be like a man who's been weaned and who has nothing to lose. It'll be as soon as you hear Him, you obey Him. You won't have to troubleshoot the call because it's actually what you've been waiting for. It's appearance would only be your confirmation.

PRAYER: Lord, I shall not grieve your call. I receive grace to follow and be made.
