STOLEN OUT OF THE LAND OF THE HEBREWS - My Sign Series 003

Genesis 40:15, KJV

"For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon".

This is pitiable Joseph speaking here. He has been pressed and troubled on all sides. As at the time of confessing this, he is threatening to break. The archers have solely grieved him as Jacob later identifies. But thank God that his bow abides in strength (Gen. 49:23-24). Thank God he keeps receiving a ministration of encouragement, hope and life that there's an expected end to await and stay alive for. And it indeed came. We all knew it came. Hallelujah! God is faithful. 

But here, Joseph makes a statement that will cause us to flashback a little. Joseph didn't want to travel abroad (go to Egypt). Like Africans whose ancestors were taken in big ships across the Atlantic to Haiti, Cuba, the Carribean, Jamaica, Brazil, America etc to work as forced labourers and slaves, God had to force Joseph out because He has intention of seeing to the fulfilment of his dreams which he'd seen, was joyful and boastful about. So, he was forcefully set on a journey of, "I don't want to go". He was left with no choice and that is clear in his speech. He said, "for I was stolen away from the land of the Hebrews". Do you know what it means to steal? It means to actually kidnap. Man kidnapping has been since. Many Africans were kidnapped to be sold as slaves actually. But while in Egypt, he lost all connection with Jacob and home. He is in an entirely different land with no familiar face to call unto. He probably doesn't see any other Hebrew beside himself. Imagine that. He only hears some people of other tongues but he is by himself. 

Jacob also wouldn't be comforted and when the garments of many colours was sent him, he wept sore (Gen.37:35). He wanted to be reunited with Joseph but he must have given up all hope. Occasionally, a ray of hope that he would one day see Joseph might reoccur to his mind but he might be too quick to discard it because he has enough prove on Joseph having died. May I tell you something? Many people there be who have been lied to that their children are dead. That is just a lie to keep you calm and shut you forever from further enquiry. But as my Lord lives, you shall receive him or her back alive. Irrespective of who is lost who you're expecting to see again, like signs they shall reappear but in flesh and blood in Jesus name. 

But do you know that despite the gulf, the plans and workings of man that Joseph will never reconnect with family, he actually does. First, when Jacob sees proves that he is still alive - seeing the gifts and wagons he sent to bring him to Egypt, the Bible records that, "and Jacob was revived". 

Genesis 45:27, KJV

"And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:"

Previously, he was dying and wearing off with nothing to live for or expect again. Life has borne hard on him but at that news came hope. Eventually, at his death bed, Jacob reveals how much God had exceeded his expectation. 

Genesis 48:11, KJV

"And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath shewed me also thy seed".

He was not thinking of seeing Joseph (his sign) again (because he had believed in a lie) that his child had died abroad, at war, at the sea or has gone with a woman and never to come back again. Those are the common things people believe in. So, such belief would collect prayer from their mouths and expectation from their hearts. Rather, it is quietness and occasional sorrow of heart when remembrance strikes them of this their lost sign. However, Jacob not only sees Joseph, he sees his children with him. He receives more than his expectation. May I tell you that you'll see your signs and then see your signs of signs. God will bountifully load you with new experiences that'll exceed and topple the former. The kind of find ongoing now is one that'll shock you to the very core. You wouldn't have believed in such type of recovery if told you but for the fact that you're the one experiencing it yourself. So, all of you who have lost people or forgotten about them (when you have been lied to that they are dead), get ready to receive them back. My Father is saying, they shall find their ways back home. He's saying, they are marked people who He is with and so they can't get lost successfully and eventually. They must return. They're properties that must be refunded. They're coming home. You can now prepare a feast, be full of expectation and see the miracle. Those coming back home this time include age long mad people who have been let go because their cases have defied healing. The hand of the Lord is upon them, they shall be miraculously healed, found and turned back home. No more confession that, "we see not our signs". God's voice is found and located on the waters. It's a visible, identifiable miraculous sign. 

Psalms 29:3, KJV

"The voice of the LORD is upon the waters..."

Today, locating, discovering and marking of all your disappeared signs comes handy. You shall no longer wait unending. 

PRAYER: Lord, thank you for the restoration and refunding of people and hope exceedingly and beyond expectation. We see our signs again and we're rejoiced.

MY SON WHO'S LOST - My Sign Series 002

Read Luke 15:11-32

Luke 15:22, 24, KJV

"22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: 24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry."

The Bible talks of a son who is lost. You may not know that there are many people in our world with children that they have for long not heard from let alone see. They see not their signs in that regard. Those signs are lost. Disconnection has happened. The father is somewhere and the child is in another place. The mother is in the distance and the son at that end of the earth. Connection is just not happening. Though there's yearning and thought of reuniting often, yet these two ends or worlds still never meet. Imagine two lines that never meet irrespective of how the graph is plotted. However, God is chattering such technique of the devil over whomsoever's life it has been effected. Whereever something invisible but powerful just hold it like that - keeping two separate people who should be indivisible divided, I ask for the judgement of that evil power. Or don't you know it's possible for a man to leave for abroad and contrary to his plans and arrangements with the wife he left behind refuses to come back to pick her unto himself. What I want you to see is that some it happened to didn't do it intentionally but rather because of the manipulation of the evil one and those who take desire in separating two united persons. In such case, the parties concerned will seek to reunite but it won't just add up. They won't just see or find their signs. Yet, this may be the boy that the Mama used to cherish, sing for or even sold her tangibles to send abroad. But what has happened? Through enchantment and divination, they have shut that boy overseas so that he won't even have a remembrance of the mother let alone home again. Imagine a mother calling his own son and the son saying, "do I know you or have I ever talked to you before?" When did it happen that a sheep could no longer hear the voice of his shepherd when the Bible says, "my voice they know" (John 10:3,5,14). You'll immediately dissect that it's either that boy is naturally and outrightly mad or by some supernatural forces, he has been made mad or madened.  In such case, it is an evil power and watch over them that is keeping them both in their two different worlds. At times, none of them will even have the remembrance of each other so that the remembering person does not fight for the forgetful. Some children are therefore lost to peer groups - cultism, prostitution, scamming, misbehaviour etc and have chosen to stay in those worlds with peers who have now become their families. The parents can only pray and anticipate that God will one day make their signs to appear. However, that sign is lost at the moment. It's like a signal that has vanished and is no where to be found. No more sign or revelation of it near but it sure can still appear and be found. I have proves from the Bible on it being found and that's what I now share above any earthly experience.

Jesus gave a parable of a wealthy man with two sons. One crazily and in haste approaches the father and demands that he shares his living and gives him his part. The father obliged him. This boy in a few days pack and takes a journey to a far away land (far away from home, where he'll be a total stranger and no familiar face will identify him). There, the Bible records he squanders all with riotous living. He became friends with ragamuffins, prostitutes, Saturday boys, sinners - men and women who have escaped from home and are lost in life and purposes. These are those parents have sought and hoped for but have not found or received back. He made them his surrogate family. He was enjoying their company and he thought he had found true family. But when his wealth flees, reality struck as he was all left alone. He had to employ himself out. This way, he learnt some hard lessons that brought him to his senses. Due to the economic hardship in that land as occasioned by famine, he fain would have eaten the pods that the pigs eat but even that was not given to him. This way, he was brought to his knees. He calls himself to counsel that it'll be better to return to his father. It was he who even made us know that his father's servants have bread enough to eat and to spare and he, the son is here perishing. 

You see, he has seen reasons to go back home. But, is he the only one who has been looking forward to a reunion? No! The father has been onlooking and expectant all time. He is so expectant that the day he sees him from afar off, he runs to meet and embrace him. It turns a reunion that calls for a celebration. 

Luke 15:20, KJV

"And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him."

The truth is this. You don't have eyes or heart for what has not been your thinking all day. You see, both the father and the son see their signs (what was lost again). They found themselves! The father meets the son he had once known (but lost) again just like the son once again comes into the company of his father and love. Each of them saw their lost signs. They received themselves back. Today, God has given me the ministry of John the Baptist and that's what I'll be doing now (Luke 1:17). I'm to turn the hearts of fathers to sons and sons to fathers. Anyone here who has lost a child to the world, sin and promiscuousness is receiving them back now. If yours was kidnapped or stolen, you'll receive him back alive. What the Lord is saying I should declare is that, "you will see your signs again". It'll come with the water. Mark that! The voice of the Lord is on many waters! (Psalm 29:3). That sign can be found vibrating, billowing and shaking in great movement while sounding the deep. If the voice of the Lord (as a sign) could be found upon the waters, by that you shall have your catch also. The sign of the Lord exists on the water and is visible to identify and recognize. Your own signs shall become present and visible now also irrespective of where it has gone lost or has been taken to. You'll no longer be dribbled by Satan! You're seeing your signs. You'll feel the joy of before. David prayed that God will restore to him the joy of his salvation and make him hear joy and gladness [like before]. What he was asking for is his sign which had always delighted and titillated him but which is now gone after sinning and being beaten by guilt (Psalm 51:8,12). Today, your signs will appear again. All your broken bones will rejoice again. What is in disappearance shall come floating home. Receive your signs. Receive the visitation of anything lost and mourned. 

PRAYER: Lord, be it unto me according to Your restoration plan. I am reinstated and I now see my signs. Like God's voice visible on the water, my signs shall float home and be marked by me.

WE SEE NOT OUR SIGNS! - My Sign Series 001

Psalms 74:9, KJV

"We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long".

There are those who are not seeing their signs again. They once saw, experienced and related with these signs but somehow it has vanished to become a thing of the past. 

May God save you from the confession that, "I see not my signs again". May you see your signs and may it rush at you and be common in occurrence like water. May you experience God, His vision and manifestations once again. May vision not be forever withheld in your life. May your menstrual flow that you've even for long missed be seen now. Anything that would be to you or is to you a restorer of your years or youth which you're currently missing, I command its restoration. Let there be a reoccurrence of those age long, good old days experiences. May your well of salvation fill up once more. May you with joy draw water from it. May you be readied. May you be at alert. May you become vigilant, active and aware like before. God is working on your spirit now! May you possess vibrancy and activeness like before. Today, all your signs that have disappeared begin to appear now. You begin to see what has gone missing. They're visible now like stars in the dark starry night. Your signs will shine forth. It will show forth. It will appear. So shall it be.

When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, since Jesus was a joy of the whole world and not of Israel or the Jews alone, God became obligated to make even men in far away East part of the joy and celebration of His birth. A great king has been born. They saw His star and being of understanding, they came to Jerusalem. It was this star that appeared to them while in their own land that put them on their journey. The initiative for the journey came because they saw a miraculous sign in the sky. They didn't launch out on their own. They were rather put on that journey. 

On getting to Jerusalem however, the sign they saw was no longer to be found again anywhere. So, they were confused and lost for awhile. To keep going towards their target, they had to make enquiry around as to where the King of the Jews was born. That's the only detail they have at hand. 

Matthew 2:2, KJV

"Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him".

People around must have taken them to Herod's palace because that's the best place strangers and those with such quests should report to. Herod enquires of the chief priests and scribes and the response is, "in Bethlehem of Judea". While Herod has an ulterior motive yet they were put on their way. As they check out of the palace like this, God who sees their hearts and sees how much they're questing after Jesus appears the star to them again. The Bible records that when they saw the star, they rejoiced greatly and it led them non stop until they got to the house. As a matter of fact, the star went to stay on top of that house baby Jesus was born saying, "herein is where your find is".

Matthew 2:9-10, KJV

"9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy".

Today, you also will find your find and see your lost signs again. All the former things that you once experienced and got blessed by but which have been cut off or now tarries shall begin to rush at you again. These wise men saw the star again. I could envisage how their looks were. When they saw it, the Bible says, "they rejoiced greatly". Why won't they rejoice greatly since that's what they've long missed? It once put them on their journey but now it's been awhile they saw it. But at the point of need, it shines forth again. How happy that sister would be to see her sign again - of getting pregnant again. It has once happened to you and it will happen again. How happy that sister will be to see her long ceased menstration begin to flow again. How happy that brother will be hearing that missed and lovely voice of God again. Today, you shall see your signs again. It shall come floating on the water. The Bible says, "and the Spirit of God hovers on the water" (Gen.1:2). Whatsoever you've long seen which once gave you joy but which is not again is coming back and to stay today. It is today not tomorrow. It is now not later. I declare, see your signs again. Let angels begin to make visitation to your room again. Let the windows of heaven be opened and let the miraculous in provision and providence begin to happen to you again. Wherever goodness and mercy have been on vacation in your life, I say receive their visitation again today. See your signs and by them be prospered.

PRAYER: Lord, I see my signs again. The miraculous shall not cease and be on hold in my life.

CARRY ME DEY GO WHERE BETTER DEY AND GREEN IS LOCATED!

Your prayer, my prayer should be this song:

"My God, carry me dey go /2x

Anywhere better dey

Carry me dey go /2x".

That should be our song as it concerns the will of God for our lives. You should seek to do only one thing - God's will and pleasure. In doing that and seeing that His will solely is executed in your life, one major thing that you must do is to acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ over you. Once you do, it'll bring surrenderness so much more that your song will become that song above. 

You'll lose your own will and will pray Him to carry you on to where He sees and knows best. And I assure you that God sees best and knows best and if you'll give Him this right in your life, He'll lead you to a place you couldn't have discovered on your own. He fetches Paul Macedonia where things would happen for him (Acts 16). 

God told Elijah in I Kings 17:3-4, "3 get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. 4 And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there". You see, the Lord knows where better dey. He knows where it is located and He knows where things are happening.

Only the Lord knows your land and I tell you if you'll enquire of Him or let Him guide or lead you there, you'll discover the goodies that are there and praise Him in turn as He that has thoughts of good and welfare for you. 

Surrender! Just surrender! Let Him have a free hand of operation in your life. Let your fears assuage! Let Him fling, throw, sweep and send you to your land of operation. That land can't but be discovered to be flowing with milk and honey. You'll find better foods that you didn't ate in Egypt there. Your rest is scheduled for that land. That land will have and fulfill all your desires. It will give bread to your eater and seed to your sower. 

Psalm 23 is one of the powerful writings of the Bible. No wonder, it's that popular. Why is it popular? Because it encapsulates and encodes the leading responsibility of God that can become the inheritance or experience of any believer. It talks about the duty of God as a watching, caring and responsible shepherd over His flock. Read and chew all here and we shall see some things as the Lord will instruct. 

Psalms 23:1-6, KJV

"1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever".

It says, "the Lord is my Shepherd..." How many of you will identify God as that in your life? Do you know what a shepherd does for His sheep? He leads them first of all. It is this leading to where there's pasture that doesn't make them to be in want. Or else, they'll go hungry, suffer and die off. But God's leading which knows where better dey, where the field is green, where Rehoboth is and where fruitfulness will abound and where you'll be given ample room to discharge all the burdens of your heart is what solves that conundrum or economic tightness that any not led can find himself in. Only God knows that. It is in His mind and you can find it out or you pray and say, "I have no opinion of myself. You're the shepherd. You know the green field and where the gold mine is. Guide me there". 

Then, you'll be like a coconut on the sea that the water carries from one destination to another until it is washed on the shore where it can be planted, take root and germinate. But that wouldn't have happened if that coconut refuses to swim with the waves. Are you ready for the journey of destiny? It wants to kick-start now. 

Today, say, "my God, carry me on to where green is". Let me see those better days and plans!

ANSWER TO THOSE SEEKING TO KNOW HOW THESE THINGS SHALL BE

Luke 1:35, KJV

"35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God".

I heard that! God is here and He wants to give you answers to your enquiries. There are those with receivings or one inspiration of what they must do or become but who are in doubt of how such mighty communication will come to pass. They've had dreams of great future which tells them the thoughts of peace and of welfare God has towards them. They have information at hand like Mary that originates straight from the mind of God to them. However, it seems too incredulous to believe. Today, the Lord is putting a question in my mouth to ask you. It is, "why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?" (Acts  26:8, KJV). 

It means why should you think it unachievable, overwhelming and impossible that God does what He has announced to you He'll do? That's humans for you. That's how we think. Once we receive exceeding great and precious promises that our mind can't fathom or describe step by step on how it'll be fulfilled, we immediately think it incredible (too big to be true).

One time, God sent an errand to a virgin lady telling her an incredible thing - that she'll get pregnant without having had intimacy with any man. I don't think you'd believe if God had told you those ear defening things. That angel said, "and, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS" (Luke 1:31, KJV).

Her question immediately was, "how shall this be, seeing I know not a man?" (Luke 1:34, KJV).

The answer was, "the Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God" (Luke 1:35, KJV). 

For as many who have been told incredulous things, are you seeing your answer in the response given to Mary here? Who will overshadow her? The power of the Highest! It means when God promises or gives you anything to do, it's not by your power it shall be done but by His enablement or ability. This is my seventh year of unrepentantly writing the devotional. Nothing of me could have continued till hitherto if not that the power of the Most High overshadowed me. To overshadow means to take over, cover totally from head to toe like a garment, possess and overwhelm by a power or ability or not left alone to oneself again! Anyone who the power of the Most High doesn't overshadow can't walk the distance let alone go a mile. They'll faint, become weary and fall dead at the carrying of a step like an overripe fruit. It is the energia of God however that sustains us. 

Today, let this be your consolation even if you don't know how God will meet the needs of sponsoring or fulfilling your dreams, aspirations, vision or those reoccurring desires. Has He said it, will He not do it? That's the Lord! For every assignment, calling and ordainment, He arranges equipping with it. You can't be  stranded therefore. Though I can explain how God is using and aiding me to do what I'm doing in ministry but everything is solely crested on one truth, "that the power of the Most High has overshadowed or overhauled me". It is this that's making me or any anointed you know do what we couldn't have done on ordinary days. It's that same energia or dunamis (power) that helped Mary to take in supernaturally without knowing or needing a man. That's what we'll call an impossibility! What in human parlance can't happen and is susceptible to debates when it does. However, we (the Christians) understand by faith (Heb.11:3). However, you should note that once ability is supplied, all weaknesses, inabilities, puzzles and impossiblities immediately become possibilities. That's why you can suddenly know a man to be doing what his natural strength couldn't have done on ordinary days if he were himself and not having been overshadowed. When he does however, that'll be because of the impartation of power on him. The Holy Ghost has now come to the scene to aid and carry him. How does a man heal the sick, cleanse the leper, raise the dead and do all incredibles if not that he has first been overshadowed and the power of the Highest is with him? Or what man do you know who can heal the sick in his own might except God aids him first of all? So, all of you with receivings of difficult things to achieve or do in life, hear the Lord now, "the Holy Ghost shall come upon you and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you". Once it does, you'll become possessed and spirit ruled or governed by that power until you have discharged that receiving communicated to you by the Lord. And that'll be because the power of the Most High has overshadowed you.

CONFESSION/PRAYER: Lord, I'm not thinking it incredible that my dreams are impossible. I've seen that with the Holy Ghost, nothing shall be impossible. You're the supplier of my equipping.

Genesis 37:5, 9, KJV

"5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. 9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

Brethren, the Lord is saying I should announce to you that your Joseph shall have dreams. Brethren, you must know that it's not everybody that has dreams. But you, your Joseph shall have dreams. Dreams are divinely granted of God. They're only directed towards those God has earmarked so that they might have the consciousness of His plan for them. While Joseph was having dreams of what the Lord would one day do, other children of his father were not having anything. They were rather alone. No divine communication to them at all and that is because they're not called nor elected. I don't care how many of you are in a room or a space, it's not all of you who'll feel what a pregnant woman is feeling who may be there. The pregnancy which she carries will make her feel somehow that no ordinary person will feel or experience. So is it when you have a call that has gone over your head. While God is relating with you and doing things that reveal His divine interest in you, that might not be the same outworking in other people's lives. Don't you know God does certain things to those He calls?

Romans 8:30, KJV

"Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified."

Hallelujah! Calling or election is a revelation of God's interest in a vessel. Any man irrespective of race that God would one day lay His hands on and use is one who finds favour of being called and given disclosures of heaven that he might hope and walk in the same revelation - waging a good warfare by them. 

Joseph had dreams! The Bible recorded concerning the son of Jacob, Joseph that he was seventeen years old and was pasturing the flock with the children of Bilhah and Zilpah (Gen.37:2). But, this boy is no ordinary boy though in the midst of others. He is rather having distinct uncommon experiences that are not universal to the other children (though they were all together). God has intentions for him. God wants to use him to preserve a whole nation. And as such, God told him of it. It is this that makes this verse relevant to me. The Bible says in Isaiah  42:9, "behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them."

Joseph sees the sheaves bow to him. He also sees the eleven stars, the sun and the moon do obeisance and worship to him. What could this mean? It is nothing but that this fellow, this young boy would one day become a leader of many people. How it'll be, we don't know but God who has spoken it (by giving him the dreams/a taste of it) shall bring it to pass. The Bible says in Psalms 68:11 that "the Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it". God is at work. What He authors shall be brought to accomplishment. He'll find bodies, means and paths for it to be fulfilled. He will ordain people - take hold of them and use them to bring those dreams to pass. Such are Joseph's brothers who sold him into slavery. Joseph knew this and at last he told them not to be offended at themselves for having sold him into slavery but that it was of the Lord to save many alive (Gen.45:4-5). 

God knows the right time. He knows what to click. He knows what to do and knows how to do it. Even if in the expectation of a man of destiny, he is confused and overwhelmed with the details of "how these things shall be" as Mary asked, God is not at all. He is the perfect administrator who rules in the affairs of men. He knows what next! 

So, the first critical step to destiny is having the dreams of it. It is seeing it at times with the eyes of your mind. It is ruminating on end on what you know is beyond you but which could only have been an assignment divinely granted and given you to fulfill - for which reason it is occurring to your mind and availing itself for your thinking. Look, your dreams will not die. It's a foretaste of what's to come. It's a fragment of God's overall plan which shall soon be fulfilled. Let me tell you something. That it was even doubled to you means it has been established by God to do. God doesn't speak or instruct repeatedly in vain. Joseph said that to Pharaoh himself (Gen.41:32). When God speaks and again speaks to you on what He'll use you to do or make you into, just be assured that He has planned it and He will do it. I pray for you that your dreams shall find safe harbour of expression. As the anointed of the Lord and one whose hand has been helped by the right hand of the Lord, you shall from today begin to experience unsual speed up in the realization of your dreams. God will send you on an errand of destiny like Joseph if one is needed to fulfill it and if you need to tarry in that same land like Isaac, you'll have the testimony of having sown and reaped the best result anyone could have had irrespective of environment. God is God but I am Olusola ADEJUMO M'Wings. He has spoken. Will He not do it?

PRAYER: You gave the Word and great was the company of those that published it. You have given the vision, thoughts, desires and dreams, you'll justify it.

THE LORD OF PHASES, OF ALL OPEN DOORS AND WHAT NEXT

Acts 9:6, KJV

"And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do."

While I was in Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State; I was the president of Anglican Students' Fellowship, TASUED amidst other offices entrusted to me. As my second tenure as president began, knowing that was the last lap since I'll be graduating afterwards, I began to hope and wait for what next the Lord would have me do. Would I hand over and sit idle or what exactly would He call me to and hook me up with again? Before this time, I knew I had God's call on me. I had discovered it as a call to ministry and ministry things and was living in the consciousness of it. As at this time, I had already been imparted with the anointing also through my repetitive watching of sermons of the minister God drew my heart after. My ministry was on fire and at head at this time. My teaching ministry has been revolutionized and when I talk, it becomes interesting to people. I even like talking and teaching more. I could go on for hours. I was just seeing many wonderful things from the Bible. I so much lived in the consciousness of being called and being a minister that some might have mistaken me to wanting to possess the people as my people. But we must know that what is worth doing well is worth doing at all. I thank God I've not been slack in using and becoming better (for ministry) with offices God has entrusted in my hands. I take those offices and served faithfully in them as unto the Lord. 

As I was reelected as the fellowship's president, God gave me some words on why he allowed my re-election as president again in ASF TASUED. Those words became assignment for me as I was wrapping my student ministry up and would as well become an errand to attend to after I might have graduated. 

Titus 1:5, KJV

"For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee".

Crete is Anglican Students'Fellowship where I was president and where God left me to be president once more and to set things still wanting in order before I go. But it was for a purpose - to see to the appointment of the next excos also. Then, the following instruction. 

Titus 3:12, KJV

"When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter".

God told me that after I might have overseen the appointment of new leaders (who I'll hand over to), I'm meant to come to Nicopolis (my place of new assignment) but that'll be after He had sent me the president of the next set amidst two preferable candidates. I told all the ASF excos who served with me in 2014/2015 Set all these. You may want to ask Ngu Barak (the president I handed over to), Oduroye Yomi (now married), Oluwabusayomi Adams (now Oluwafemi-Ige), Eunice Olabode (my sister coordinator), Opeyemi Idowu and a host of others. Even if any of them was absent minded, they would still tell you today that one thing was clear and repeatedly mentioned by Bro Sola. It's that God was leaving him for a second tenure to supervise the correct choice of new leaders after which he must come to Nicopolis. When it was time to hand over, I sincerely told them I have yet not found or known Nicopolis but I'm deciphering God wants to get me trained for ministry. I told them, that's my life. That's my calling and the weight of it bears down on me. I can't just escape it and that's because demand has been made on me and the hand of the Lord is already on me. However, I don't know whether it's in an organized Bible School setting or just with a minister who's doing it live.

I never knew that God was working out His will. I never knew that He that gave the Word has also raised a great company of those to publish it (Psalm 68:11). As I was hoping, waiting, praying and fasting for where Nicopolis would be, I never knew God would move the then Bishop Ayodele Awosoga of Ijebu Anglican Diocese to move the residing priest of St Peters Anglican Church, Ijagun and bring another in Canon Johnson Oyebode to the same place. I had already graduated when that happened but I knew in my spirit Nicopolis has not yet been found. At this time, all Excos had gone back to their fathers' houses and would only come to campus for one thing or the other - either for project or for any other business. Those around were just hanging around. So, I myself packed to Ijebu Ode to stay with Bro Emmanuel Awofeko and others. He was the one I was staying with when by ordainment and God's plan I one day met Canon (now Venerable) Johnson Oyebode. He was not even dressed as a priest that day. He saw me with some bags containing books which I was seeking packing back to Ijebu Ode where I then stayed with Bro. Awofeko. He said he had heard of me and that I was the past president of this Fellowship. We knew ourselves by acquittance. I had heard of the new priest as well. We got into talking about books and he said, "come and see". When I got into the Ijagun vicarage where he now inhabits and then into his office, I was overwhelmed seeing a library that one will need diligence to study up in a life time. We talked for awhile and I went back to town. But my mind kept going back to him. Something was calling me to him. And before you knew it, he'll invite me for vigils in his home (the vicarage) and that's how I eventually stayed and packed into the vicarage. We never slated a day. I was just going and coming until I stayed. It was then I remembered Nicopolis and how it had all come to be fulfilled. It could only have been what God only has put together to work for me. I never knew he was a minister of great works and wisdom until I was drawn closer to him. I just felt attraction towards him. There's nothing he says that doesn't minister to me. And so, I gave heed. That's how I knew him, contacted him and got trained in the hands of a minister doing it big time. Demons obey him, the Bible opens up to him, he heals the sick and does miracles, he prophesies, hears and sees and God is overall with him. I could remember some of my excos especially Sis Eunice Olabode coming to greet me in his vicarage (now my home). She nodded saying, "at last at Nicopolis!" All my other excos who were chosen again as Excos after we graduated would lovingly see me wash his car and at times come with him to minister to them since he's their vicar in charge. Many might have said, what's Papa (me) doing now but it all pays now? I never had any sense of shame identifying or serving him. I washed his clothes not because he gave me but because I received him as a father and doesn't see a big deal in it. Indeed, he was my father and his wife, my mother and his children, my siblings. 

The truth is this - before one phase ends or let's say as it nears, the God who doesn't want you stranded will ordain the next phase for you. He's committed to your progress and movement towards your destiny. He has a plan in mind not to let you alone but fit you for where you shall one day be. You will just know the next train to join when it pulls over. You'll always hear a word and a voice behind you at critical junctures of choices saying, "herein is the way, walk ye in it". You will know when what is next. You won't be confused. You'll be rightly joined to the part that'll nourish you and what next in God's agenda for you because of your future God has seen and is committed to seeing to. I bless you today as you shall always be on time and connected to the next phase of your life. You won't be static and you won't be frustrated. I am telling you that God is your admnistrator and governor of phases and if you're there seeking and longing for what is next, He'll sure open you to it. Your sheet will soon descend and you shall know that it is of it God has ordained you should, "rise, kill and eat". You won't miss the God of the new phase, chapter and open door. You'll rather be ushered into your dream land and what next.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive my sheet. My train pulls over. I am aware. I am in the know. I rise, kill and eat.

HE GOVERNS PHASES

Psalms 113: 7-8, KJV

"7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; 8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people".

Yesterday, I told you that it is at all not your responsibility to scheme your way into prominence or the limelight. Rather, let patience have her work and let the zeal of the Lord do it. We also saw that it's only what the Lord does that's marvellous in people's sight. Any origination or scheme of men is always fretted and doomed to be spoiled. As a matter of fact, that it's a man made scheme is what necessitates it for death. Instead of tarrying and lasting however, it shall crashland, skip and fail. And great will be its fall and failure!

Today, God wants me to reveal Him to you as He that governs phases. I, Olusola ADEJUMO M'Wings have known God personally and intimately as He that governs phases. Whenever a phase is about ending, God in His will and outworking will speed up and open up another. This is so that you might continue to progress, grow and go until you arrive at your large and wealthy place where you have room to fulfill or manifest all your intentions unhindered. 

This revelation I'm teaching has so much become second nature and an embodied angel working for me so much more that I just see God hover over my situation, opening me up to new places and joining me to new people [that I'll later discover I should be in pact with] but without my having initiated it. The one that shocks me of all these experiences is how God can be mindful of a man two years down the line as to send somebody ahead of him to a place He'll one day bring that same man to. He'll just grant somebody an opening into an institution or give him a privilege to stand before kings. His own standing there in the overall plan of God is that through him, many sons will be called unto glory - their destiny. And so when the time comes, the only thought of the man up there would be to call or help that man who's waiting earnestly for the next phase of his life to kick-start but doesn't even know how, where or what to do of his own power to make it launch. Today, God is raising men for your sake. That's a reason why you should not envy anybody. Anyone who runs ahead of you is a viable and possible instrument in God's hands to open the door of where they have gone to you later. Thank God the butler serves in Pharaoh's presence and had himself reinstated. After two full years, God opened the door to Joseph through him (Gen.41:1, 9, 12). If your way pleases God and you're living His will (written and breathed daily), you'll see how much God will take thought for you. 

It'll therefore be, before one phase ends, God has initiated another for you. Where next to be, I don't know specifically but I'm desirous to know and I'm open to the Holy Ghost on where He might lead me. That's how I live. I live expecting and waiting on Him. This way, I quickly progress and move on to obey when He speaks. This way, He takes thought over me too. He could see that I'm staking everything on Him. He knows I have become a worm (without a backbone) and that where He leads is where I'll go. Why won't He therefore precipitate and open to me what the next phase is? The next plane is waiting. The next train's ticket is ready. The man whose company you must next join will soon ride pass your way and like God told Philip, it'll be a call to "join his Chariot". On such occasion, there won't be any resistance at your proposal to him. Whenever you ask such man saying, "do you understand what you're reading?" The reply would be, "how can I except a man explains to me". You'll immediately be offered a seat beside them (not at their foot) that way because that's the Lord's doing that's always marvellous in our sight.

Acts 8:31, KJV

"And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him."

The Lord's act won't give you a blessing by demanding you to lose a virtue. God does rather without adding any sorrow. Today, believe God that as one phase is about ending in your life, another which is of necessity will start. You're in God's hands and He has planned your journey all through. 

PRAYER: O God of Phases, open to me new doors.

DESIRING A SPACE AMIDST THE GREAT AND STRONG

Isaiah 53:12, KJV

"12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors". 

I have taught on that theme before. However, as I prayed, I felt the nudging of the Holy Spirit on it again. When I first taught on it, I did using that same quoted Isaiah 53 where its revelation had broken loose from as given me by God to teach to the body of Christ. What you must understand is this. If God wants you to say or teach something as a minister, the Holy Spirit has a way of making that thing appeal you anew. You might have known or done it before but somehow, it'll interest you again and looks fitting for the time once more. It is this that makes us prophetic and our words fitting and meeting the needs in specific times and seasons. Who knows who God wants to speak with when He prompts or occasions such word?

Introduction is the Lord's and our prayer should be, God, introduce me rightly and at my time! Until the word of Joseph came, he could therefore do nothing but remain laid in iron. He was rather stayed in the waiting room. 

Psalms 105:18-19, KJV 

"18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: 19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him". 

I found out that what you're not destined for, you may not aspire to be. If you have a soul revelation that refuses to be satisfied with operating at your local church level for instance but rather sees himself with influence all around in the body of Christ, it may be that the jurisdiction of your calling is wider and of that larger audience which is why such thought and reoccurring thought of your being used greatly and more mightily comes to your mind often. Many times, those with such destiny, expectation or inner aspiration would have to wait until the Lord flings open the door of ministry by which they could go national or into such space. It was God who opened this door of "come up hither" to Joseph himself. God knows who to use, the event to launch and where it must be slated. Nothing confuses Him and He's so mindful of you that nothing shall go amiss. It is basically the Lord's doing and it should be left to Him to do. Your responsibility as a son or daughter that's not content with his status, position or influence is to pray that the vision of the greater tomorrow God has flashed into your heart or the ministering on a larger platform that keeps appealing your mind will come to pass. Don't fret or compare yourself with those who might even be younger than you are but who have had this door opened unto them. The Bible says, "no man can receive anything except it be given him from heaven" (John 3:27). And who knows whether those you're unnecessarily envying waited on the Lord for this door to be opened to them or they schemed, forced and initiated it by being men pleasers and having sacrificed a virtue and an ingredient of costly amount? Everyone who has made it knows how he made it irrespective of the story they tell men. The Bible also says in Psalms 75:6-7 that, "promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south but God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another". It means this issue of being promoted or gaining more influence or having more estates to watch over is of God and solely His work to us as He deems fit. Your own responsibility is to remain prepared, sendable and fit for your day of glory and showing forth in the body of Christ or that spehere of life you've been called unto. God is actually at work so that everything might work for your good. Don't move out of your calling before this day or decide to seek for a way to promote yourself into prominence. It is the Lord's doing that will always be marvellous to us. Man's can't hit that standard. Something can't but be detected to have gone wrong, missing, decayed or corrupt on the way. Such promotion and "come up hither" solely worked out by men doesn't last. Your way up will usually be your way down. If you've been self promoted by men or through your own lobbying etc, it'll have to be by your effort you'll maintain been in the good book of such who have preferred and chosen you to introduce or bring to the limelight. However, if you let God do it, you have God to be obligated to. There and then, you won't be under any pressure to satisfy any man to the defying of God, His will or your own conscience and peace. You'll even be stable and strong not to change your message. Do you know how many who have known God's thought towards them is of peace and of welfare, to give them a future and a hope and to call them to the hills but who have not been patient enough in letting God's time and God's zeal do it. The Bible says in James 1:4 to, "let patience have her perfect work..." So please, don't disturb the outworking of patience. The Bible also talks of the curiosity of God's zeal in bringing promises to manifestation. It says in Isaiah 9:7, "the zeal of the Lord is doing it". What you therefore think is taking time is rather fulfilling its cycle. If you'll enjoy it forever, let patience have its effect on it. However, God is also mindful of bringing His utterance and will to you to pass. So, what you think is slow is actually running at a full speed seeking to be fulfilled because it has been willed and slated to come to pass by God's mouth. It's on this basis that God's zeal is seriously and assidiously seeking to make it work out. It'll find people, events and places to hook to for fulfiment. That is God for you! God is interested in making it work because He is not a man that He should lie or the son of man that He should repent. He wants what He has told you of His greatness to you to come to pass that you may know Him as the faithful God and be assured that He's not an erratic speaker or as a mad man beating the air. He has a goal. However, let Him do this work solely. Do not interrupt Him as to reap consequences that only follows the blessing the Lord has not solely given or work out. 

PRAYER: Lord, I surrender to let patience have its full work. I also thank God for your zeal which is jealous for my manifestation and so is seeking it.

THE RIGHT WAY OF FIGHTING SPIRITUAL WARFARE

The Right Way of fighting Spiritual Warfare

When physical war is taking place, the aim is always to take possession of a thing and people. The target is made to be subjected to the value system of the attacker whether good or evil. If the target is overcome by an evil attacker, he becomes obligated to do evil and if otherwise, he becomes a slave to good. Whether you like it or not as a believer, you are in the middle of war. A spiritual war!

"And the Dragon was angry at the woman and declared war against the rest of her children- all who keep God's commandments and maintain their testimony for Jesus" (Rev.12:17).

Devil has declared war against you. He has a lot of captives and he is not stopping to conquer more free men and women. So, many believers who have been set free by our victorious captain- Jesus have surrendered themselves again as captives in the camp of the enemy. The only  reason I have realized to have cause this is that they don't know the strategy with which the Devil fights his war. Now, when you find yourself a captive in the camp of the enemy, you become obligated to join his army that will be firing arrows against the rest who are not yet a slave to this evil warrior. Whether you are a pastor, prophet, apostle or first class Christian, you won't be able to help it but to do his bidding.

"Lest Satan takes advantage of us for we are not ignorant of his devices" (2 Cor:2-11).

Let me begin to unveil some of the strategies of the enemy through some revelational knowledge given to us by our Captain. 

"You have heard the law that says the punishment must match the injury: 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' But I say, do not resist an evil person! If someone slaps you on the right cheek, offer the other cheek also" (Matt:5-38-39). Also, this place says:

"Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing.

Devil's strategy in winning a warfare against you is to make you do evil and so become a captive to him(evil). Of course I know that no believer will want to do evil because they know anyone who is given to evil is of the Devil. Devil's way of doing it is to first of all raise an evil person against you, this can be in your family, at work place, in the neighborhood or at church. He only wants you to press the button of retaliation and by doing so, he has succeeded in recruiting you as a captive of war. The only way to win this is to follow the word of God which happened to be one of the armors to stand against the Devil in your spiritual warfare. This we must always put at the back of our minds that people who rise against us in evil are not actually the problem, they themselves are unfortunately captives of the enemy. This is why Jesus said that we should pray for those who persecute us and bless those who curse us. This is our winning way. Space will not permit me to explain this matter deeply but I must quickly point this out that winning a spiritual warfare requires that we be defensive and offensive in our strategy. 

"13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion" (Eph:6:13-18).

If the Devil is not using the first strategy, this scripture passage explains the other strategy he will use which necessitates the kind of armor we must put on to win the warfare. Let me talk about "truth".

Truth as a defensive armor tells us that Devil makes captives through lie (heresy). Knowing the truth and living by the truth will make you stand against him. For instance, a believer can be lied to that sex outside marriage is nothing wrong. Any believer who believes this lie will soon become a captive to sexual immorality, such will not know when he or she will soon begin to jump from one bed to another. Thus, becoming possessed by all kinds of demonic spirits such as filthy spirit, manipulative spirit, spirit causing spiritual laxity, hardened spirit e.t.c.

I will like to just say something about righteousness as a defensive armor and round it up with Gospel of peace and prayer as an offensive weapon.

Righteous life which makes you holy (uncommon, untouched, clean, different) is a great defensive armor. Somebody will say, how come you are talking about spiritual warfare and you never mentioned a situation where a person is attacked in the dream by charm, enchantment or divination to run mad or to get sick. I will say it is part of spiritual warfare but it is actually the punishment a captor gives to his captive to satisfy his pleasure and demonstrate his superiority over his captives. But such arrow of oppression or affliction will not enter if a believer lives righteously. 

I Peter 3:10-11 says, “If you want to enjoy life  and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it". 

Holiness and righteousness are great defensive armors that protect us against satanic oppression.

There are many more to write but space will not allow me to do that. But let me wrap up this write up by these two offensive weapons- Gospel of peace and prayer. There is a saying that the best form of defense is attack. It is actually good to be defensive but it is better to be offensive in this spiritual warfare. Let us imagine Devil alone fighting against a thousand good people, you will realize that his achievement will be minimal unlike having a thousand evil people in his camp (captivity) that he has recruited to do evil with him against us. In a situation like this, the best way we can reduce his victory is to set his captives free to reduce him to himself alone, then we can all unleash our judgement against him. How can we achieve this? It is by preaching the gospel of Christ that bring peace to all his captives and we empower our preaching for effectiveness through a weapon of prayer. The weapon of gospel of peace is aimed at emptying the camp of the enemy of good people that have now become evil. When we refuse to preach, the enemy wins more souls into evil and uses these same souls to do evil so that we the good people can join his captives. The gospel of peace bring salvation. Salvation is also an armor for spiritual warfare. If you have not received salvation through Jesus Christ, you can't but be a captive of the evil one, the Devil. And as a believer, we must continue to grow in our salvation. This is a way we can continue to live as a conqueror in spiritual warfare everyday. May you continue to grow in the Lord and in the power of his might.

IS SAUL ONE OF THE PROPHETS? - Taken Over Series 003

I Samuel 10:11, KJV

"11 And it came to pass, when all that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the people said one to another, What is this that is come unto the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?"

I told you yesterday that once you're taken over, you might give off or be used for what you've never been known for before. What you must know is that humanity is frail and spotted with inadequacies. We're only made complete, strong and become he that can do all things only through He that strengthens us. It is that act of strengthening you and I that lead to the impacting of a God ability into us so that we'll be able to do what we couldn't have done before. That's God's equipping of you as a minister of the gospel. That's God's ministration to you to arm you up. Meanwhile, through you, others will receive God's energia to be able to do what they couldn't have done before. That's when chains will be loosen, the insane will become sane, the deaf hears, the blind sees etc. However, you must know that God's concentration today is on the fact that He gives you dynamite (power) even where you're most weak as to qualify you to minister to others. This is true and a worthy saying that once a man is taken over, he becomes reputed for all the good he couldn't do before. 

As predicted by Samuel to Saul, certain signs shall follow after his having been anointed secretly as king over Israel. One of these is to be taken over and prophesy himself. 

I Samuel 10:5-6, KJV

"5 After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy: 6 And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man". 

I'm still talking on being taken over and I hope you saw that it's well expressed in the verses above. Samuel promised Saul that the Spirit of the Lord (Holy Spirit) will come upon him and when He does, what shall be the consequence? He [Saul] shall prophesy with established and known prophets. Mark that! That has never been the experience of Saul. In no place do we have record of Saul prophesying until this time. That is a manifestation of having been taken over. Do understand that being taken over also means the Holy Spirit coming on you. Saul could therefore do nothing [or manifest any mighty work] until the Holy Spirit had come on him. If the Holy Spirit never did, he wouldn't have been taken over [as a vessel to be used] and will never for once be reputed to have prophesied or be taken for one of the prophets. Brethren, Jesus while speaking said something that fits the Spirit of God coming on Saul. He says in John  6:63 that "it is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing..." Did you see the Spirit in action in an ordinary man's life today? That's why it's the Spirit that quickens [or benefits] us, the flesh profits nothing - brings no profit [except ruins].

You can do what you have never done before or be known for what you've never been known for before. All that will come to pass when the Spirit that quickens, enables and inspires come on you. When the Spirit came on me, I began to write and then author daily. Writing daily is not consequent to my having studied English. No! I'm just poor me without the Holy Spirit. It's rather because it's the Spirit that quickens. Once the Spirit comes, disability is changed and revamped to ability. You immediately become strong and enter into the rank of those known for a vocation or calling. Just like Saul, people would ask, "is he now among the exhorters, teachers, prophets and holy minstrels?". 

Today, an ability will come on you. I call it the energia of God. It shall arm you up and give you a new reputation. You shall therefore enter into calling and be known in the calling. So shall it be. 

PRAYER: Lord, I receive your energia that makes an ordinary man able. Today, I am armed for ministration.

DIVINE TAKE OVER - Series 002

Numbers 22:28, KJV

"And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?"

Divine take over is a reality. This narrative is very much clear to us. God is not delighted with Balaam. Though He has given Him a permissive release to go yet God wouldn't have him go. He has only received answers according to the multitude of idols he has hidden in his heart. This should be a warning to you not to be given to your own will or else, God might reveal or give you your perverted will [Ezek.14:4]. It's very much clear to us all that Balaam has a strong appetite towards the riches and honour promised him by Balak. It's for this reason he says again, "tarry here tonight and I'll see what more God would say" [Numb.22:19]. The question should be, "what else does God want to say?" Has He not spoken and will He not abide by it? It's on this occasion Balaam missed it. 

Going forward on that journey, God sent an angel to withstand him. Unfortunately, Balaam couldn't see God's angel which has come to stand as an adversary. It's herein this scripture is fulfilled which says, I have set the Lord always before me, He's at my right hand, how shall I be moved (Psalm 16:8)?" It is what you set before you and which you look or have looked intently into that you'll see or see its manifestations. The Psalmist is not shaken because the Lord which He always thinks on, seek after and imagine on has made him in turn to be as solid as a rock. However, that's not the case with Balaam. What he has set before him is Balak's son's of Zipporah's promised riches and honour. As he goes on that journey, he has lost touch with God and now all the imagination of his heart is on what great estate he'll soon enter into. For this reason, he couldn't see God's angel. This is a man who ought to have open vision with open eyes yet he doesn't see how close he is to getting killed. What you set before you is what you'll see. It's a spiritual principle. If your meditation all day is on fornicating, you'll see the devil indulge you with an opportunity to take sooner. 

But in all, salvation is still hidden for Balaam in his ass. On three occasions, his ass turned away from the angel and the divine presence before it. That angel has an aura round him that no mortal could intrude into or else would be slain. It's this the ass sees and fears. However, God wanting to rebuke the madness of heart of Balaam rebuked him by opening his ass' mouth. That's a divine take over now. Animals do talk or exhibit communication but their communication (especially of a donkey here) is intelligible to humans. But this donkey received a take over and immediately its mouth is open to communicate rebuke to Balaam. 

II Peter 2:15, KJV 

"... and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet".

Unfortunately, Balaam still didn't hearken for I thought he'll run away for refuge when he hears the donkey speak. Rather, he banter words with it. This tells you how much he is bent on getting Balak's riches and honour. The passage of the Bible above says, "...the dumb ass speaking with a man's voice..." What I want you see is the word, "dumb". It means inability to speak or make speeches. So, there won't be audibility even if the mouth is opened up and down. However, when the Lord God takes this ass over, though dumb (by makeup that fits it), it immediately has a loose tongue and it speaks with a human voice that instant. This is God's doing and it's marvellous in our sight. That's what the Lord only could have done. Or when did you hear your dog speak to you in a man's voice, in intelligible understandable human language? Never! So, if an ass could exercise that, it means God needs it for a vessel and had to equip it for same. That's why I earlier said that taken over always come with all the equipping necessary for the discharge of the taken over. When you're taken over, even if you're not known for a particular thing, you immediately become reputed for it and that's because you're just a vessel in His hands. God has therefore made you to appear like a wonder unto many. Today, may you provide the Lord with a body and be His taken over and anointed. 

PRAYER: Lord, take me over and use me to the fullest and contrary to my afore reputation.

DIVINE TAKE OVER

Numbers 22:28, KJV

"And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?"

There's something like divine takeover. God can take people over for you or take you over for His use. 

When I first got to Lagos State, Nigeria, I was not in the know that any sort of religious activities shouldn't be done in the state's luxurious buses but I have the habit of evangelizing in public transport. That day, my fiancee (now wife) was not talking to me. She just kept mute though we had boarded the bus together in order to go make some purchases somewhere (that was even not around our wedding). 

Not long after we settled in the bus, I was taken over and I felt very much like preaching. Oftentimes I had preached in vehicles, I was the one who solely decided to, chose the scriptures and even did a mental work on how the preaching should go but this time I had this strong urge, a bubbling from my inside and then a sense of urgency to preach. I do see scriptures in the spirit and the one I saw that day was from Acts 16. It Chronicles Paul's call to Macedonia but I didn't preach on the Macedonian call literally. From those verses and that incident, I rather preached on calling and going into the field or specialization God has called our individuals to. That day was lit. That message was one of the messages I found difficult to forget. It sets the entire passengers on fire. Everybody was just quiet trembling at the Word. That day, I had a knowing that there might be somebody who has been living in defiance or resistance to the will and call of God on his life. Mind you, the will of God or His call is not always to ministry. It may be to a career path like being a chef or a farmer. But that message as I discovered might be the last God's sent message to that fellow who has refused to succumb to God or His call till then. For that reason, it came with much power and grace. It was so powerful and effective that I was almost turned into a little god in that bus. I could sense the admiration, reference and worship afterwards. As people took turn getting down, they'd looked at me with a sense of "what a thing" and then drop off! But, I turned them all to God. To Him be all the glory and honour. May you or I not be found seeking to share with Him His glory. 

When we talk of divine takeover, what do we mean? Or let us ask, what is a take over? To take over in its right sense means to possess, grab or even inspire for a particular intent. Meanwhile, it should still be noted that the taken over won't lose his senses or by that become a zombie. He's not. That's why even when possession or the cloak of the anointing comes to rest on him, he has the responsibility of welcoming the Spirit or shooing Him away. But, a man could be taken over. You my reader can be taken over. Whenever God has a work to do and it is utmost that it should be done, men [even unbelievers or the heathen] could be taken over. God will inspire or come on them for that work to be accomplished. When He's done with them and the work accomplished, then He might lift Himself from them. But while the work last, He'll committedly be with them and upon them. There are many kings, nobles and even politicians and world leaders who God has taken over before just for His own will not to be disrupted but progressed. He comes on them to legislate or favour His course and that's it. They'll just become favourably disposed to God's people and that'll be it. They'll just unnecessarily become accommodating and would look like they're acting contrarily to what they've always stood for. As a matter of fact, those around them would wonder at the change and that won't be but for the fact that God needs a body to express Himself and His will through. Who has He found if not Cyrus whom the hands of the Lord will help (II Chro.36:22-23)? There are many Cyruses that God is stirring and taking over and that's because they have the power to use their influence to achieve something for God. Once it's the Lord, God will teach them. With every taken over comes every initiative and know hows to accomplish that intent or purpose of God for which He has taken you over. You can't be taken over as God's mouth for instance and be suffered with utterance. No! Utterance will gush out like flood. It'll be unimaginable at the choices of words the Holy Spirit will fill you with. Each word will have an intent and as you send them, so they'll do and achieve. That's when this verse of the Bible that says, "so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (Isaiah 55:11, KJV). Such are the words given you in such times when you hit this prophetic frequency where you're shooting almost without effort and then expressly. Divine take over is a reality and if you'll ever be a vessel who'll be sanctified for the Master's use, you'd see that He'll take you over frequently. At times, I'll just experience a cloud on me, dew settling or permeating me or a cloak or jacket wrapping me up. Once I feel this energia (energy) of God, I move in my graces, anointing and office easily and spontaneously. I can then run and not be weary, do spiritual things thoughtlessly and with such intensity that'll even surprise me. The testimony that'll follow is that, "and it snapped like a flax caught by fire" (Judges 15:14).  May God raise more instruments and take more people over.

CONFESSION/PRAYER: I have prepared you a body, Lord. Come and take Your place.

I GOT MY MIND MADE UP

Read Acts 21:1-14

Acts 21:13, KJV

"Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus".

I once heard somebody told a story of a young chap who said he would jump down from a storey building. Crowd eventually gathered. However, he was being hypocritical about it. Yes, because he neither jumped but rather repeatedly echo, "I will jump". If he really wanted to jump, he wouldn't do much announcement but rather take off into the air. By such action, he'll be measured to have been very very serious. We ought to move from intention or profession to acting. Many people are really really reluctant when it comes to acting or taking the step that matters. They are not different from the King's Horseman in the Nobel Laeuretes' Wole Soyinka's _Death and the King's Horseman_ . The King's Horseman according to the Yoruba tradition ought to die to accompany the spirit of the deceased king to the realm beyond. However, his reluctance proves he actually does not want to die. His delay proves he loves life and would device to cling to it. This man is therefore slow in action - especially the sort that's expected from a ready heart. 

God forbid! May you not be like these two fellows above. May you be such one who has made up his mind and then follows it with action. May you be like Jesus with a tilted face set towards Jerusalem. May you have made up your mind on what to pursue and not resign from in this life. 

In today's passage, by the Spirit of God, Paul is first signalled that he should not go to Jerusalem (Acts 21:4). Did he hearken? No! On another occasion not at all distanced from the first; a reputable prophet by the name Agabus prophesies that Paul would be bound in Jerusalem. 

Acts 21:11, KJV

"And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles".

The prophecy is so dramatic and graphic that a shivering heart would have been scared out of what is purposeful for him to do. I just learnt here that knowing the will of God before hand pays a lot. If you do, nothing could come shaking or violently root you up. It'll help your perspective of things and give you right judgement on new matters. That's why it's popularly said that those who stand for nothing will fall for everything. They can't but be tossed to and fro. Since God doesn't contradict Himself, it means that word of knowledge was not given to Paul to deter him from appearing before and witnessing to kings and nobles as the Lord Jesus had afore said of his ministry and assignment.

Acts 9:15-16, KJV

"15 But the Lord said...for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: 16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake"

That Paul would even suffer many things which these two predictions warned about isn't a new thing. They are disclosures Paul has been living with and bearing in mind till then. So, those prophecies [while they're from God] are rather for the sole purpose of affirming and preparing his soul ready again for what he'll face. Also, they are timely predictions to prepare him for the last phase of his ministry and the need to hold on. No wonder, even Jesus appears to him while in bound encouraging and reminding him of the need to further bear the gospel before kings.  

Acts 23:11, KJV

"And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome".

So, we should know to what end a word of knowledge is given. For Paul, it was never intended to stop him but encourage him to face what lies ahead him in grace and the strength of our Lord Jesus Christ. But looking at these words of knowledge on different occasions, you'll have thought Paul would have perished or repented of any thought to go to Jerusalem. Rather, Paul runs the contrary. He tells the brethren who had begun to weep and plead with him not to leave why they'll be doing that to break his heart. He is firm and decisive in his speech. Paul only sees them as being petty and hindering God's will that should be fulfilled in him and through him. God has already told him that prison and bounds await him wherever he goes. That is not to scare him but to prepare him ready and make him remain steadfast in assignment. Paul in replying the brethren cautions them not to cry. He admits he's not only ready to be bound but to die for Christ if need be. That's how much he's sold to purpose. He could even go the extra mile. This is nothing else but a mind that's made up. And if I'll say, no mind is made up which doesn't first of all have a cause behind his resoluteness. How worthy is your cause?

This is the kind of person God wants you to be. Purposeful heart that can not be persuaded out of God's will and all classified for him. Paul is so strong in subduing the situation under his control that all the pleading eventually quietened when they observes he'll not be persuaded. They rather commits him into God's hands and that His will would be done in his life. This is who I want to be. I want to model after this kind of immovable resolution. Some will call it stubbornness and others label it as pride. But this is resolution coming from a prepared heart that knows God's will and will refuse to be moved from it. A heart that's ready to do the will of God - eat His meat and finish it. As a matter of fact, why Paul refuses to be dissuaded is so that he might finish his course. 

Therefore, beware of pettiness when purpose is at stake. At the edge of doing the will of God which is utmost to your destiny and will be obedience to God, you'll meet with dissuasion that you must be firm with and not allow to turn you. Some could have temporarily cut off family to travel abroad for studies, go into the army or pursue a life, career or destiny that'll be one day glorious and for which they'll be famed on earth and rewarded in heaven. However, they allow voices of parents, siblings, sponsors and sometimes mentors to drown them. This way, they couldn't travel into this future of excellent things of eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, neither has it entered into the heart of any man what God has prepared for them. I pray for you that you shall be loosed into your greatness. You won't stay back when you should journey into purpose. No voice will be strong enough to win you over from the future that God has preordained for you even pre your conception. One man once said he stayed back in the village when his age mates were leaving for Lagos in those days. He said it became the reason for his smallness till date. Some of you also, there's a call on your head. I hope you'll heed it and pursue it. If not, you'll have successfully being hindered from seeing your better days and that off course lies in front. 

PRAYER: Lord, I receive grace and gift of discernment. May the devil not disguise through authority figures to dissuade me from path I should take and the way I should go.

HIS FACE IS TILTED!

Luke 9:51, KJV 

"And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem".

Brethren, I say what I hear. Look, His face is tilted. What a thing that Jesus has a tilted face. You can as well have such face. A face that beholds in the spirit or through his mind and refuses to let go but is stayed on what it has found to muse. A face whose mind is made up and would not for once or one thing or the other shift his resolution. That's the tilted face. A tilted face is one that's resolutely crested on purpose and its conviction about what it has seen or received as purposeful to do. 

May your face be tilted and solely fixed on what you must do as written of you in the volume of God's book. Many people will do all to the exclusion of what is written of them. May you not be that. At a tender age, Jesus' face was tilted to the business of His father. That was at age twelve. He would even not mind being left behind by family as long as He is doing what He loves to do [Luke 2:42-46]. Hmmm! A tilted face!

Our verse above conveys in its entirety a tilted face and a resolute heart. It says, "and it came to pass..." We might quickly ask, "what eventually came to pass there?" "It came to pass when the time was come for Jesus to be received up, that He steadfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem". 

Something necessitated that focus Jesus has. It's because the time of His suffering, crucifixion, death and departure nears. Because it's beginning to near for the son of man to be received up (ascended), He immediately sets His face towards Jerusalem (where it would begin to happen to Him step by step). This is a purposeful life. This is a life that has seen what is written in the distance for Him and would refuse to be deterred from hitting or dotting on it one by one. He's been called to come and He's not in denial. It's no longer a debate that Jesus is sold to purpose and what is the will of His Father for Him. Can a time come in your life where because of purpose, you set your face or focus on something and dot on it for long until it's done. When you set your face on something, it becomes your next move. You'll have so much cultivated and meditated on it that that your next activity will be to implement it.

Having a tilted face will be your experience especially if you're called and you have an assignment you need to fulfill. A time would come that the assignment would come knocking like a mighty rushing wind and all that you'll feel for it is going to heed it. It'll so much burn in you that you'll lose joy in pleasure or indulgence in other activities. You'll just want to go to be with the Lord in that particular assignment. That's when your face is turned towards that heart calling and nothing else could satisfy or pacify you from it. 

As a matter of fact, Jesus couldn't be removed from the direction of Jerusalem that His mind has trapped and absorbed. The Bible says, "He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem". "Steadfastly" means sternly and with all focus. That is from then, the rumination, aspiration and plans of Jesus becomes going to Jerusalem to be arrested, suffered and even murdered. This man, Jesus is sold to purpose even unto the death of the cross as willed for Him by His Father. No wonder, He says, "no man collects His life from Him but that He willingly lays it down. He said He has power to lay it down and to take it again because He has received same commandment from His Father [John 10:17-18]. And at the end, the fact that He had a set face steadfastly set towards Jerusalem and on dying for the sins of the whole world is actually what saves us all. If Jesus had not died at all, I wonder what would have happened? That's why you must have a set, focused, classified and all fixed concentration on your purpose. Refuse to be shifted! You must seek not to be lost in your concentration but rather totally given to it according to this verse.

Isaiah 50:7, KJV

"For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed".

He sets his face like a flint. Do you know what a flint is? It's a very sharpened, streamlined and pointed rock. So sharpened that it could be said to be facing just a specific direction and not enlarged and scattered to all places. When you set your face like a flint or set it on something like a flint, you give it your whole energy and concentrate  all on it. For instance, if you use a lens to direct and focus the rays/race of the sun on a paper, it'll burn. That's what a sharp pointed or flint face means. It means a face that's single and not like one without purpose beating the air. You must be purposeful; marching in unison like a flood and in strength like the Spartans. 

That's why Jesus refused to be distracted, detoured, diverted or remapped away from His purpose. Purpose is so single and singular that a little detour would take you far away from it. But you must not stray but rather maintain your stay. Because of the season that Jesus has found come upon Him that a planned purpose must be delivered, He also surrendered to flow with that time and purpose and obey all its intents. As such, He's willing to go to Jerusalem. 

God wants you to be this focus. Jerusalem and being there so much gripped Jesus' spirit that they were not received where they have gone. The Bible records, "and they did not receive Him [elsewhere He went immediately after the revelation of being in Jerusalem] because His face was as though He would go to Jerusalem". 

So, it's possible for somebody not to be received at a location because in his very soul, he is dreaming of a vision of another land? Jesus' thoughts and imaginations on being in Jerusalem must have become so visible in the realms so much more that it cancels appearances in other places. Jesus' face is rather titled towards Jerusalem. You also can have a titled face. Yes, you can have a face, mind, heart that's always directed to a particular obsession, pursuit, finding, vocation, location or even a fellow etc. When it gets to that level where your face is set towards a particular thing, it means if it's not that thing, it's not another. Why is your desire set on a particular specialization? Why is it that the thought of your mind and imagination are all directed towards a particular direction? It may be that God has ordained that field for you to colonize or dominate and if you look at it, it's in that field you have gathered experience over the years and have become the expert you are. Or why do you keep dreaming of travelling overseas? Why is your face tilted towards the great beyond and your thoughts directed and casted on people of other races? That's to draw you to come into your calling and grand plans that await you. That's why nothing has been able to satisfy you or collect you from that dream till hitherto. 

Jesus' face is tilted. Tilted towards Jerusalem and not any other place. May we all be this children of purpose. May we all be sold out to what is purpose alone. May we be so single that no conviction could snatch us from what we have set our faces on, towards or to do.

PRAYER: Lord, use the tilting of my face and the obsession in my heart to call me where I should be.

MORNING WINGS DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE - Olusola ADEJUMO

YOU WILL TRAVEL AND TOWARDS THE GOAL

Genesis 40:15, KJV

"For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon".

Do you have a destiny? Do you by faith believe that the thought God has towards you is thought of good [of welfare] and not of evil, to give you a hope and a future? If you do, you'll do well. It'll make you see God in the right light as He who has your best in mind and who can't compromise that irrespective of what you face. It'll make you succumb rightly and attitudinally to his refining furnace when you're taken through one. If you know that Canaan is truly before you, you wouldn't mind the difficulty of the wilderness if your journey is necessitated to be mapped through it. Your eyes will just be on the prize - that lies at the great beyond and on the other side. 

God can lead you or He guides you. Leading and guidance are two realities. Many times, both are in the journey of a destined man. God only communicated to Joseph his great end. That was the interesting part. Joseph wouldn't stop telling his brethren and father his great future. It looks so good to him. No wonder, the Bible says we have exceeding great and precious promises (II Pet. 1:4). Knowing creates joy in any no doubt.  

Seeing he'll become a fellow so great as to be worshipped or bowed down to, that stirs him into joy and lightens his face. He was just speaking all around and to any who'll care to listen. But God is committed to moving beyond the disclosure of your future to you. Where the real deal lies is in its fulfilment and that's the joy anyone should seek to experience. We can talk of a bright future till tomorrow but if you don't enter into it, it'll have been a mirage glory. How then will you be satisfied early with God's mercy that you have long awaited for all these years?

So, God transplants Joseph from the base of the Hebrews to Egypt. God didn't seek his permission. God didn't notify him. All he had were dreams of an expected end but he was not shown the process and road to walk to possess that expected end. In Joseph's word above, "I was stolen out of the land of the Hebrews..." That's how God sent him on the journey of destiny fulfilment. Let me tell you something. God is not committed to your comfort that doesn't get your destiny or reason for creation fulfilled. God is committed to 'keeping your nigga boy running'. He's committed to putting you on the run. He's committed to your travelling and your path and your destiny crossing. That's what He's committed to and so the ways by which He may do that may at times be shocking to an ordinary mind. It might puzzles us. Imagine Joseph himself saying, "he was stolen out of the land of the Hebrews". He was almost if not outrightly blaming that! Indeed, he was stolen out of the land of the Hebrews but to what end? Was it not to an end that he might fulfill his dreams? Was it not to an end that the pictures, motion pictures and revelation he had seen abstractly would be fulfilled? Was it not to an end that what he has confessed in front of many witnesses would align with what would take place so that he won't be mocked or taken for a mere babbler? If he had seen all, he wouldn't have spoken that way and blamed the process by which God launched him out. Write it down in capital letters. God is not committed to your comfort but your movement to destination and he'll keep you moving until the day dawns and arrival is made.

So, whenever you pray saying, "God, let me achieve my dreams", you should leave the process in God's hands. He could fling you anywhere and by any means! You should be that humble. It's God who uses providence to bring Joseph to Egypt. I am telling you the truth, Jacob would not have released a seventeen years old to have gone to a foreign land let alone be sold into slavery. If God had consulted himself or even Joseph, that process would never sound reasonable or workable to them. So, the process is in God's hands. Trust Him as the Father with numerous good thoughts for you who can't mishaps you. What matters is your arrival and may you arrive. May God keep moving you with His hands and in the waters of His will until you get to the shore of your destiny and land at destination. 

Later in time, God's intention became so clear to Joseph. He now knew it was God who had put him on his feet and journey since then. He told his brethren, "you meant it for evil but God for good. He sent me here to preserve you with a great salvation." He was even comforting them (Gen.45:5). What a thing! This is Joseph who was saying he was secretly stolen away from the land of the Hebrew. That means he wouldn't have come if sought. No man in his right senses would want to take such route to destiny (being put in fetters and iron). He wouldn't have gone. He never wanted to be shipped or flown through that means. It was not acceptable to him. At that time he was saying that in prison, he was missing all the comfort of his father's house never knowing it just remains so little for his destiny's light to shine in its full strength. 

I pray for you that when you're at the edge of your breakthrough where your destiny should shine forth, you won't by a condescending act terminate it (by becoming inactive and uncooperative with the process) and if you do, may God's mercy and providence overrides it. So shall it be in Jesus' name. Look, write it down somewhere and confess to yourself today saying, "God is committed to keep me moving. He'll pay for my transport fare or plane ticket. He'll send or push me to where next is next. New doors shall open and I shall go on in ascension until I have made arrival in the large and wealthy place His soul intended when this journey long began.
