WHY HE SENDS A MAN BEFORE THEM - Lead and Feed Series 010

Read Gen.50:15-21

Psalms 105:16-17, KJV

"16 Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread. 17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant."

I began yesterday by showing you why God raises or blesses some people exceptionally. Now, don't be confused by the arrangement of the Bible verses above. It seems to insinuate that famine occurs before God sends a man ahead Israel. If that be, then God could have been said to have been caught unawares Himself and Israel would have been starved. It should rather be interpreted this way. God has foreknowledge of the coming famine and so sends a man ahead Israel. This man, Joseph was relocated forcefully to the diaspora in God's plan because of the preservation and redemption of Israel from a seven year's famine to come. God blesses the widow of Zarephath for Elijah too. The blessing, "the barrel of meal won't be spent and the cruse of oil won't fail" just didn't get provoked. It's so that Elijah would be provided for and consequently her host too. Did you see that if any would finance what God ordains, God will finance such too? Tell any who absconds and abstains from commitment to God that they'll have blocked themselves from God's miraculous involvement. We all know that if the grand planner had not sent Joseph ahead of Israel, a whole nation would have been starved to death and Israel might have gone into extinction. Israel is God's own nation. Christians are God's own children. If Jehovah claims Israel as His first born, are you not? Just like God showed commitment to the nation Israel during the stringency and harshness of economic depression, God owes you same in times of need. God could go to any length I'll continue to say in order to meet your needs. Imagine God sending a seventeen years old boy to Egypt against a day that won't come until he's in his thirties. What sort of God is this who cares with much care for His own? Did you see how important you are to God? You're the thought He chews. Imagine God planning for you thirteen  - twenty years ahead of an occurrence. Many of us are conversant with parents doing this. God isn't different and He's even a better parent. He takes even orphans up behind their parents. When God sends people ahead you, those people do the hard work while you come to reap where you've not sown. It was Joseph who rose from the agony of slavery with bruised feet by his sustained character and reputation coupled with the available grace of God and his time and word which has come (Psalm 105:18). He built a character and reputation of being faithful, useful, hard-working and relevant under a difficult and tempting weather. This in turn made him get recommended to the higher authority. This is how he secured the placement that could give Goshen to Israel at a time the staff of bread would have been broken wholly. Travelling abroad for any with a call or destiny to fulfill there isn't what you die there to achieve. No, no! Some are already there. They'll amass their fortune and then God would put it in their minds to have you come over. By the time you're ready and have begun dreaming it, they'll invite you over. It is by invitation. All things would have been made ready. We're to enter into rest and the labour of other men if we believe and would wait. They may be acquaintances or total strangers. God will use any and then prosper them for our sake. They will acknowledge that and will call you to be a partaker of why God raised them. Now, watch this. If you're not the commanded financier of an Elijah, it won't enter your mind to show such kindness to him. Even if you want to do it by cheer determination, God will hinder you. It won't work  but if it ever does, your invite would be kindly turned down once proven by such Christian or minister that you're not the commanded one to meet his need. Elijah could only collect from the widow of Zarephath and not the king, blacksmith of Zarephath or any other. The instruction was designated to someone. It reads someone's address, identity and location.

I Kings 17:9, KJV

"Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee."

It was a specific instruction to a specific person. Elijah knows and the widow also agrees to same. This is the mystery of divine connection that works. God said, "He had commanded the widow woman to feed Elijah and Elijah also discovered the commanded woman upon arrival." Two of you must be in agreement. The testimony of one isn't enough. God is weary of disciples who collect what is not meant for them. You'll only be disgraced. I heard from a very senior and elderly minister of another minister who was given a car by a woman. He collected it without enquiry from the Lord. When the woman's husband arrived, he questioned his wife's independence to act alone and instructed her to revoke her action. The car was returned but to the shame of that minister. That young minister fell into embarrassment because he gloated over what God was probably not giving him. To shock you, that same car had been afore taken to the same minister who narrated this event to me. He discerned it and kindly rejected the offer after hearing the "no" of God. It was same one took for God's blessings. All these hungry and in a hurry ministers who don't know the commanded hands to receive bread from shall be mocked and called beggars. People would say, "if not for us to them." There's no time God raises people to go ahead that it's not to cushion the coming ones. Any raised for you will never spite or enslave you. Even after the death of Jacob, Joseph didn't revenge his brothers for the evil done him as they suspected he'll do. He rather acknowledged himself as a vessel who God only raised to use for them. He once said to his brothers when they humbled themselves before him as mere servants, "am I in the place of God (Gen.50:19)?" John was sent ahead Jesus to prepare His way before Him. Jesus Himself sent the disciples to reap where they've not sown (John 4:38). Hanging on these, I pray that God will raise forerunners (softeners of grounds) for you. Men who will be hastened, widened and enlarged just because of a ministry they have to give to you as to make you ready to give to some others also.

PRAYER: Let me occur in the minds of all the sent ones for me. Let me be blessed indeed to prepare the ground for others indeed.

WHEN THE COMMANDED ACTS COMMANDED - Lead and Feed Series 009

Read I Kings 17:1-16

I Kings 17:9, KJV

"Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee."

There are moments God is "crazy." God said He has commanded a widow woman to sustain (see to the continuous existence of Elijah) there. You know who a widow is and how economically challenged they may be yet that's who God sees fit to sustain Elijah. God could use anybody for you. On getting to this station, Elijah met the widow gathering sticks, called her to fetch him water and bread also. It was then this woman voiced out that what she has had not yet been prepared and that it was so small that it could only cater for herself and her child. After that last meal, they'll die. I see God redeeming you from all depressing economic situation. Elijah then stepped in, told her to go prepare it and make for him first. It was then he invoked the blessing upon her saying, what she has won't finish until full scale provision is restored.

Brethren, at Elijah's arrival, that woman only had a handful of meal and oil. She only had their last meal but through agreeing to cater for the needs of the man of God (the one she recognized as the commanded one), a fountain that issues was opened to continue flowing for her. It seems to me that widows in the Bible have a special place in God's heart. If you are, God is obligated to see to your economic success also. Reason is because you have no husband's roles in your life and you need a replacement. God is the judge of widows and father of the fatherless (Psalm 68:5). Do you remember also the wife of the prophet who ran to Elisha when the husband died for intervention (II Kings 4:1-7)? God also gave her a miracle of making the little she had continue until. Yes, continuing for a very long period of time until there was no vessel to fill. The two miracles have their end but before their end could come, it had prospered both widows.

God wants to speak to kingdom financiers today. Those God have told to cater for a ministry or a minister. There are people like that. God intentionally sends them to someone. I had said it that if God didn't command or commit you concerning a person economically, you'll give emotionally (to the wrong person or ministry) and so wrongly disburse the kingdom wealth which God has kept with you as a steward. You may be in a denomination and God may command you to see to another minister's welfare different from your local church's pastor or General Overseer (though you can't but give to them too since they communicate spiritual things to you - (Gal.6:6). God has what I call overall knowing and administrative control over His kingdom and church. He knows where needs are just like He knows where pastures are. So, He may call you to go give to someone in a place you've even never been before. He may reveal to you the address or even contact. He may tell you that as long as that minister lives, everything about his welfare is yours to bear or it may be once in a lifetime act. That's why ministers must be careful not to develop eternal economic relationship with any God has not ordained so for them. Stop sending them mails! So, before God could instruct you on this, even if you're the poorest man on earth, it means God has a plan to raise you economically so you'll be able to meet the new task. What did God say by the mouth of Elijah to this widow? "The barrel of meal won't be spent and the cruse if oil won't fail until..." God intentionally ensured it won't fail so that both Elijah and his host would be fed. God will raise kingdom financiers with their thousands, millions billions and uncountables who must first be disciples as to know whom God is sending them to in all meekness and not appropriate resources due to familiarity or like. God told me one time that He'll equalize me with whatsoever He calls me to do. "If I intend you build a church in the very middle of Atlantic Ocean, I'll equalize you with it: give you volunteers, men and resources to get it done. You'll just be telling them how you want it look like I've instructed you about. That's how the Ark of Covenant was built. God endowed Bezaleel, Aholiab and others while Moses showed them what to do (Exo.31:1-11). Did you see two categories who didn't fail God? No assignment is greater than the other. Each has its reward and it's God who would reward the strictness of their obedience to it. So, when God told Elijah that He had commanded the widow to feed him there, God was saying, though she's a widow who doesn't look empowered yet He has empowered her. Prophecy must sure be fulfilled. That Elijah would take his being from the hands of that widow with her last meal means something must happen to enlarge that widow so that she'll be capable of meeting Elijah's needs. This is why if God gives you resources for such reason and you house it, He might as well do a reallocation and behold another with the mercy of what He has given you to do. Resources in the hands of a disciple is not for fanfare only. They use it to sponsor God's will, the kingdom, the gospel and comfort His ministers. If you therefore desire enlargement, have eyes for responsibility. I'm from a family of twelve children. I'm the second born but the first male. God is helping me basically because He wants me to disburse to those behind me. So, it won't be a mistake if God gives me the bread of twelve children, two wives plus other dependents. There's no other reason why God raise some people to go ahead of others than this.

PRAYER: I submit to be made a sharp threshing economic tool for kingdom advancement in Your hands for end time ministry. Lord, enlarge me to my responsibility. Equalize my sack to the task.

MIRACLE: THE BRIDGE TO NORMALIZATION - Lead and Feed Series 008

I Kings 17:14, KJV

"For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth."

One time, I prayed that I'll not live on miracles in this life. Then I recalled that I'm on earth and here, each of us will face problems and shortages that we can't but need God's special moment of miracles for. Miracle is actually not the daily normal way by which we live or by which God wants us live. We are for signs and wonders; no doubt about that. We should only ask on what conditions signs and wonders are triggered into existence. If everything were normal, there wouldn't be desire for a stepping in of the supernatural. It is rather always when the natural has failed. Because the natural order has thus been broken, God needed to supernaturally feed Elijah. Feeding by ravens or any sort of bird isn't the usual way God feeds any human being: unbelievers or believers. May I ask when last a bird or a snake brought food to you? However, you work and you do eat the reward of labour? God created that mould (specific) miracle for Elijah and would for anyone because of the need and circumstance that may come upon them. If there was no famine initially, would God have been necessitated to perform a miracle? Later in time, Elijah arrived in Zarephath. When he requested that the widow make him food, she disclosed her status and how little her meal is. Elijah then said, "the jar of meal won't be spent neither the cruse of oil fail until the day God sends rain on earth."

Did you note, "until the day God sends rain on earth." That's the day of normalization. They all desire going back to it. Rain falls to give us green herbs to eat. Without it, there can't but be famine. That's the day all of us do live in except it gets interrupted and we're brought into the experiencing of the "jar of meal shall not be spent and the cruse of oil shall not fail." Why would Elijah acknowledge that shortage won't afflict them until things normalizes? He himself knows that living on that miracle isn't the forever way of God's provision to them. It is just a privileged and temporary response to shortage so that they'll never be in want as to prosper such word like, "the Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want."

Miracles are just the bridge that God uses to connect us to normalization. If normalization has been broken, God can give a miracle to carry you over and hand you into normalization. You have no job yet God chooses someone to be responsible for you. That's a miracle. It may lift when you're normalized since no adult desires that he'll be tied to another's apron. God also doesn't plan such for you. He rather desires making you a blessing in order to bless others. Someone has no arm. Whether he's born that way or he suffered injury on earth, if another limb grows out, that miracle would have first been because she had no arm and God wanted to restore and normalize her. If you check other human beings, their stories are that they have arms. Miracles of provision proves that God wouldn't leave our souls in "hades" as it concerns meeting our needs. It means if you're the sheep of His pasture, He would do anything to ensure your sustenance on the earth. He could use your enemy to feed you. Moses' sponsored him. Just mention it. I therefore pray that those of you who have had your staff of bread broken will experience a miracle. Until things normalizes, God owes you. He's under obligation to ensure you keep taking a living. If it will cost Him a miracle, He's giving you today and I assure you that miracle will persist until things normalizes. It is not a miracle that will forlorn you. As much as your need persists, the miracle will persist.

PRAYER: Lord, meet me at the point of my need. More importantly, restore me to normalization.

WHEN THE BROOK DRIES - Lead and Feed Series 7

Read I Kings 17:2-16

1 Kings 17:7, KJV

"And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land."

There's a work that you could trust God to discharge on your behalf when the brook dries. It is  the Lord who solely does this as much as you've submitted leadership and guidance of yourself to Him. If you're an attentive, listening and instruction propelled Christian, you will know what or where next God is directing you to. Today, God is facing you to tell you "no condition is permanent." He's telling you the brook might dry up tomorrow though He initially sent you there. Your job is not God in whom your trust should be. It is only a means by which God glories Himself, make you exercise your creative ability and have you sustained through its proceed. Never say, "if I lose this job, I'll be finished." Your job is important and you shouldn't be lackadaisical about it or test the authority to prove what would happen but you're only finished if you're cut off from God - your Vine. From Him we all take nourishment. He is our cause and in Him we live, move and have our being.

The brook that might dry for some may be their sponsor that may be incapacitated. He has been doing it before but suddenly, he becomes bankrupt and couldn't go further to tear them provision often. What should be the attitude of a Christian then? He should look up unto God who initially gave him the brook and the ravens to take sustenance from to open up another place. I'll like you know that you're the thought that enters God's mind. Those who leave everything in God's hands will see God's hands in everything. If you so much rely and wait on Him, God won't disappoint you. Hear this Psalms.

Psalms 104:26-27, KJV

"26 There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein. 27 These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season."

You see, all God's creation wait on God that they might be fed. Our provision comes from God. It is what He gives us we gather. Knowing this, He'll always hasten to ensure you don't come to want. He provides in due season or else! When the brook dried, did you not see God come for Elijah? Did you not hear God saying, "relocate, arise to Zarephath. There's the next provision." Leading I said precedes feeding. You must be locatable. If one brook, job or means of sustenance closes up, God will open up another channel hurriedly. He does this to proclaim Himself as master over all situations and people. He said, "he had commanded a widow to feed Elijah there." At such moments, God will ordain places and people for you who won't be able to say "no" to you.

How many people are there with the symptoms of a dried brook? It simply means you need another job or means of sustenance. God will choose any desirable means for you to have Himself glorified. This is also a message to anybody or system that has become a brook to anyone not to become proud or suddenly withold the bread God kept in their custody for others. If you do, God will always be glorified. The brook that dried dried to its own shame. The storyline could have continued with the brook but immediately, it shifted to Zarephath. I hope you don't want to be replaced or substituted. I'm hoping you want to find relevance as a vessel in God's hands for use continually. I pray that God will give any whose brook has dried, is drying or will soon dry a Zarephath to take refuge in. God knows where the next move is. He knows where the barrel of meal won't be spent and where the cruse of oil won't fail. He knows where the cloud has gathered, where the carcass is, where the green pastures are and He shall indeed lead you beside His still waters. You'll feed on abundance and do in peace.

PRAYER: Be my headlamp. Reveal to me next steps to carry in the journey of "never being in want." I know Your faithfulness.

SO THAT YOU'LL NOT BE IN WANT - Lead and Feed Series 006

I Kings 17:7-9, KJV

"7 And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land. 8 And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, 9 Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee."

There's a work that the Lord of all the earth does. I have seen and experienced it and many more have also. One time, that was last year, I needed to attack a capital project. So, I almost freeze all my monthly income for it. I didn't put any other responsibility into consideration before doing this. I just went ahead to get that done. After I did it, my sight opened and I knew I needed money for some other things often. As a matter of fact, it was at that time a sibling began to cry for a new phone plus school fees and feeding allowance that must be allocated to the family often. I was looking to heaven intently and trusting that the servant of God won't be in want. Then, a miracle like I've never had before happened.

Someone gave me a job to do having known my reputation as a creative, content and research writer and wondered if I could do more of that job. Believe it, over a period that lasted six months which was the exact time I needed to save for the amount that'll do the project, that offer sustained me. It was one of the greatest offer I had gotten. At the same time, I kept working for individuals and conglomerates. It just went on sizzling like that. That's how God saved me from ever being in want or getting to a place where I break a sweat before provision came.  I knew that offer was from God because until I resumed from my saving vacation, the offer didn't lift. That was God's word to that widow - "for thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth (1 Kings 17:14, KJV). So, I knew God intentionally created it for me to contain my needs for that time being. Kai, I really fed on that thing. I wish it could come back.

This miracle of mine is in the Bible. Did you remember the fiery prophet, Elijah. There's no one he can't deliver God's word to. He doesn't look at their faces. After he prophesied "no rain, no dew" except by his words, he immediately caused famine to spring up. God seeing this situation which he has not only brought on others but himself moved in to shepherd him to where he won't be in want. He was told to go hid by Brook Cherith. There, he'll drink from the brook while the arrangements God had made with the ravens would bring him meat. So, until the brook dried up, Elijah was eating balanced diet - a combination of carbohydrate and protein. You wouldn't believe it. He was never lean for once. That's God's work but that's not where the miracle is.

It is that when the brook dried: when one staff of provision broke, God created another. That's exactly like what happened to me. There was a channel of provision by which my needs are catered for as a salary earner but when it stopped flowing because I needed to save heavily for a thing, God created another. Now, what would have happened if when the first oasis stops flowing, God didn't create another way of escape for Elijah and myself. We'll have known want. We'll have known hunger. We'll have tasted embarrassments but God prevented both of us from getting there. That's the work God does so that we won't get to ever be in want. They can sack you from your job. That's Satan's move probably through jealous people who planned against you or the national situation of your country but God never fails. You'll never get to the place where you'll be in want - desire a thing and not have it because you don't have purchasing power. Never. He that made the provision of the brook still watches over you to see that you fall at the hands of the "widow of Zarephath" as occasion would necessitate it. In this way, you'll never have the fate of leaderless Christians. Your case is peculiar and God's commitment stands by you. Today, I'm heavily anointed and I declare that you'll see this God's work. In unseemly situations where provision you trusted is failing, God will make another provision for you. Before one fails, another is supplied. This is what will uphold Psalm 23:1b from happening in its opposite direction to you. Today, I fellow with God of all the earth to say, "you shall not want." Receive it!

PRAYER: Lord, as seasons and circumstances change, may your commitment of provision ever be sure to me. Before one provision fails, may another get delivered. I shall never be in need.

SHEPHERDED! - Lead and Feed Series 005

Genesis 26:2, KJV

"And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:"

Recently on LinkedIn, I read a post of a lady who earns Five Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira monthly. She recently had an opening to travel abroad besides this also but she's confused whether to leave her job and free apartment in Abuja to travel abroad. Nigeria in recent times for instance seems hard but here is someone who seems to be living very large. She posted that in order to seek the advise of her LinkedIn family and I read some telling her to stick to her job here and all other privileges she enjoys. Why travel abroad when your target is comfortably being achieved here in your country?

This describes Isaac. When famine struck, he wanted to go to Egypt for refuge but God said "no." God told him to stay back in that same land because to his downlines He'll give it. He stayed, sowed in that land and he had a very troubling testimony.

Genesis 26:12, KJV

"Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him."

Would Isaac have ordinarily reaped hundred fold from that land? No! That was in famine but the blessings of a guided Christian begins to overtake him. What I'll like you see is this. You actually don't know how things might turn out to be. God sees into the future. Have you wondered why people go to do consultation. Because they don't want any part of their lives to be hidden from them. They wanted to be aware. So, man is limited because he ordinary and alone don't have all the information by which he could prepare or plan for the future. Having eyes who sees all, knows all is therefore an advantage as the Divine could bring into one's life privileged information where one is limited. To Isaac, it was, "stay in this same land." That lady who needed advice and threw it open could be deciphered for not knowing the Shepherd. If she does, God would have made plain to her whether to leave or go. Now, she's looking for the majority to carry the votes for her on what she'll do. That's dangerous. She's hoping which side to decide to go based on the persuasion of people.

As simple as God's instruction was to Isaac, it saved him from the headache of travelling to Egypt (where he believed economically they're doing well) to remain in Gerar (that despised land). This obedience however brought a reward to Isaac just like that lady who still earns and live big in an economically depressed country. She's clear she didn't want to leave for abroad. That's why she threw it open. Forfeiting those privileges she's receiving here looks to her like "calamity." Yet, many considers a calamity staying back. No matter how terrible and worst the situation of a country may be, there'll still be people who will live fairly well in there. God is therefore putting it to you to await instructions for your life. If Isaac had gone to Egypt, he wouldn't have sowed in the same despised land and reap hundred fold until he became the envy of all economically. While going abroad isn't bad yet it must be at God's command. If God has work for you here and you leave for abroad, you'll be alone because God won't be your companion. You would have left him behind in your former base where He waits to make you a wonder to the world and bring honey out of the rock for you. Be rightly situated by God and the concerns of people won't be your concern. You'll so much have more than enough that you won't even see reasons to "flee." You'll always be in a strait like that lady who got confused and needed to be persuaded as to why she should leave.

MORNING WINGS DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE - Olusola ADEJUMO

A CALL TO REMEMBER - Lead and Feed Series 004

Exodus 2:24-25, KJV

"24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. 25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them."

In series 003 (not yesterday's devotional) but that of two days ago, I brought to us under the anointing why Psalm 23:1 should first be lived out as an instruction before we lay hold on it to put God in remembrance of meeting our needs. "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want", it says. It means, if the Lord is not or has not become your own Shepherd (by your making Him so), you will reap poverty plentifully and suffer want adequately. On how to learn how to willingly and realistically surrender or make Him your Shepherd, read series 003 of "Lead and Feed Series."

The children of Israel sighed by the reason of their bondage in Egypt. They were nearing breaking point. "Sighing" reveals great discomfort. No one sighs who's not or had been under a weight or load. So, as they sighed, groaned and cried, their lament reached God. Now, what did that pulled trigger effects? It created an instantaneous response. That place read, "and God remembered His covenant with Abraham/other patriarchs (Gen.15:13-14, 18-21)." Now, what connection would this remembrance serve in relation to their own suffering? Permit me to say the remembrance of that covenant is actually their salvation. From the time God remembers, He recalls His promise to Abraham that his downlines would be strangers in a foreign land where they'll serve for 400 years before evacuation at 430 (Exo.1 2:40-41). Afterwards, He'll bring them out and have them possess the land flowing with milk and honey - Canaan. So, that remembrance brought to God's memory that "these ones are Mine. I owe an obligation to them. I can't but act. Their suffering should stop now. They should hereunto be delivered." If you check the next chapter, we for once get introduced to Moses, their soon to be called deliverer.

However, Israel's groaning would have been in vain if they had not been grafted into covenant when Abraham was making it. All that nation at that time were in Abraham when he was cutting that covenant with God. A prove is that Levi was inside the loins of Abraham when he paid tithe to Melchizedek (Heb.7: 9-10). Let me tell you, if your great great ones cut covenants with spirits; even till date, those spirits may still want to see to your affairs especially if you've not renounced the works of darkness. If at any time you mistakenly act or behave somehow as to pull the trigger of remembrance of the terms of their covenants with your ancestors, just like the dead soldiers in Ezekiel 37, they'll rise up a great army and come and do whatever were the terms of those covenants to you. It doesn't matter if you're even in the diaspora. They don't need your permission to act. Someone or some people gave you over just like Abraham gave Israel - a whole nation to God to watch over. Even at the demise of Abraham, the watching over still continues. That's how stubborn a covenant is irrespective of its kind.

Brethren, what am I seeking to establish? If there has not been a relationship of Shepherd-sheep between you and God, if you lament to Him that you're in need, He won't give you the satisfaction of a disciple. So, you can't but get to the point of hunger, disappointment, frustration, begging and salivation for anything that could temporarily cure you. That's the point described in the affirmative as, "I shall not want." If Israel was not in covenant with Jehovah, let them roar like thunder, God wouldn't have been that way obligated to them. What am I saying? Your relationship, sonship, commitment to God is what will bring His obligation. Sell yourself out first of all. Let all your acts proceed from Him. Make Him your sight and walk in His footsteps. Until then, you can't reap where you've not sown. How can you call Him "Lord, Lord" and expect salvation when you don't know Him? I have a beloved. I'm obligated to her because we're in a relationship. Another I wouldn't give attention to. "And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers (John 10:5, KJV).

Today, beyond any shadow of doubt, God demands you to lay your whole life down at His feet so that He'll govern your step by step. It is then you won't lack (because you'll be led to where God has seen there are green pasture and still waters). It's then you won't die untimely also because He'll ensure your path and that of the destroyer or eliminator doesn't cross (by His guidance that'll make you avoid it).

PRAYER: [Confess your sins and call Christ into your life]. That was to those who needs Salvation. Decide to always consult Him for His leading. Pray that He'll hear you in the day of affliction.
