CASTED ON GOD FROM THE WOMB - Your Baby Series 012

Psalms 22:9-10, KJV

"9 But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts. 10 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly."

We have heard narratives of babies that were dumped and forsaken by their own parents. Such act can be properly called, "casting upon God." Psalms 27:10 says, "when my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up." Literally, this happen to Moses. When the reluctant hands of his mother was forced to let him go, he was at that time casted on the Lord. To be casted on the Lord means to be surrendered or released to Him (to take over the caretaker's or parental role). Since there's no other parent figure in one's life, it means one is solely trusting and left to survive on God. I once got here when I needed my school fees that immediately on campus. I knew what it was to be casted on God. I was very desperate, pressed by that need and awaited His salvation eagerly. I kept making confession, praying and fueling my faith for a miracle until one came.

There's an African proverb that literally says, "a tailless cow solely relies on God to help wade off flies." That means a helpless, surrendered or casted away person relies on no one but God to be his Hope Maker. And like Moses can testify, the Lord takes him up when his parents casted him on God.

Some of us one time or the other were casted on God. After my father's passing away, meeting with the family's obligation of seven children was too heavy for my mother. At one time, I couldn't pay my school fees and was literally casted on God. Yet, this was a family that once knew abundance. However, God on who I was casted and to whom I was released cared enough to miraculously pay it by giving me other men who took over as surrogate parents. I've experienced that over and over again. Till now and though I'm an adult, I'm still casted on God. I've not overgrown the care He can give me. I trust Him for my needs (though I work).

The Psalmist was casted upon God from the womb. This verse shows what relationship began to exist between him and God right from the very inception of his life in the womb. He's simply a child whose father and number one carer is God. Same can be said of Christ who has no earthly father but who was casted on God right from the womb. Even at His birth, one still sees the caring hands of God moving to shelter Him by the constant instructions He (God) gives for His safety. Only a parent and someone who has so much interest in you would do that.

Parents, let this be the kind of special relationship your children will have right from the womb with God. Like young Samuel who was given away to God at an early age, let your children be ones "casted and surrendered to God" that same way. Let them know God as their father, carer and number one sponsor. Create that sense in them that they can't be stranded because God is there as their ultimate parent even when you're not. Knowing this, they'll be bold like the psalmist to call God their ancient God who was with them even from the belly.

PRAYER: Pray for children in orphanages, war torn area, kidnappers' den etc that God, their Father and on whom they're casted will reach for them.

YOU'RE MY HOPE MAKER - Your Baby Series 011

Psalms 22:9, KJV

"But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts."

Say in a loud voice, "God, you're my hope maker!" God will continually give you hope even when you least expect.

Benson Idahosa as an infant was so sickly and insignificant that he would often faint. As a result of this constant illness, his father ordered the mother to cast him on the dung hill. When he was 18 months old, he was left on a rubbish heap to die but anyway picked up again to be nurtured to the realization of his calling, destiny or life's work. He did ministry supernaturally. You can't talk anything pentecostalism in Nigeria and Africa especially and jump his name. God is a great hope maker. He makes hope even for the despised, rejected and even the dead. The dead hears His voice and comes out! He makes hope! He's a Hope Maker! He can start with you again.

When a baby is given birth to, it looks tiny - probably 3kg. Just like we specially take care of plants in the nursery before transplanting to their final habitat, we do also give controlled care to babies in order to ensure their survival. That's how vulnerable babies are when just given birth to. That baby that's 3kg at birth could grow to become 90kg or even 100kg as an adult. But, his or her life started somewhere. There's a day of small beginning for him. All the future expectations of what he can become are potentials that are resided in him by God at his beginning. As he lives, he'll exercise them and attain it all. But, until then. That's why we give special care - measured care to them. You can't just expose your baby to the heat, cold or nutrition of an adult, let's say his dad. That's wanting to kill him or her deliberately which I believe can't be your intention. As such, we're careful to ensure our baby survives his or her period of vulnerability. Even baby Jesus got wrapped in a swaddling clothes (Luke 2:7). That ain't only for fashion but his protection.

David while still acknowledging God says, "thou made me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts." Does that statement wake up any realization in you? The realization that survival is not automatic for every born baby. Some were birthed but ultimately passed on. David acknowledged God as His hope maker even while a suckling. Idahosa could have passed on but he survived also.

I have assurance that your baby will survive also. He'll survive infancy into adulthood and then pass on to kingship. The Hope Maker will make him or her beat trouble, affliction, infants' sicknesses, mortality and all vulnerabilities. He'll survive all to thrive and fulfil his destiny. Say, "my baby survives all." He survives cold, heat, King Herod and even Egypt. Like Jesus survived, He'll survive.

PRAYER: Pray for every frail, dying child to receive healing, strength and recovery. May God make hope for them.

HAPPY WOMB ESCAPE  - Your Baby Series 010

Psalms 22:9-10, KJV

"9 But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts. 10 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly."

When we celebrate birthday, what do we wish ourselves? You likely wished that fellow the other day, "long life and God's prosperity, happy womb escape" or in my manner, "long life and God's salvation" etc.

Irrespective of the caring wishes or salutation used, one thing is acknowledged. The fellow being wished those good things has escaped the womb to being in the here and now in our world. If he had not escaped the womb to seeing the world that be outside his or her mother's womb, those greetings or wishes wouldn't have apply? Hear what this psalmist says. "But thou art he that took me out of the womb." He refers to God Almighty as the doer. He credits Him with such deliverance. At that time of lament and acknowledgement of God as He who takes him out of his mother's womb, he is faced with besetting enemies who would spare nothing but give all it takes to swallow him up.

Psalms 22:12, KJV "Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round."

So, in his call to God, he tells Him to repeatedly give him deliverance and escape like He once did for him while he was housed in his mother's womb. If you know what the womb is, you'll acknowledge with me that it is a house which can even become a prison needed to be broken out of when delivery time peaks and has duly mounted. A time was when your baby stayed in your womb for safety, nutrition and just all that. However, another time came when he or she had to be released. Not releasing the foetus can lead to its discomfort and yours alike. As such, the womb can become a prison when ejection is not made at such time. But, thanks be to our God. The God of David, this psalmist is ours also. He acknowledges God for the no small deed of granting him escape from his mother's womb. As such, it's not a mere event when a woman delivers safely. Create that special sense in your kid that it was God who granted him escape from the womb to see the outside world for a purpose He sure knows and will like him to fulfill. Delivery isn't ordinary. It is God's granted salvation to the mother and the child alike. Both rejoice and long to be relieved. One, of her pregnancy; the other, from the womb. So, it's indeed "happy womb escape" to any one who now lives. Thank God you were not trapped in your mother's womb. While the remembrance of one's day of delivery reaches a crescendo and is usually celebrated on a marked birth day once a year, it should be our heartfelt acknowledgement to God that we were born. God knows about the psalmist's birth and granted him an escape. Yours isn't different. Praise Him. On your behalf, I say to God, "thanks for the womb escape of today's reader."

PRAYER: Pray for safe delivery and passage of all foetus. Nothing shall hold back their delivery.

A STAMMERER MADE PROPHET - Your Baby Series 009

Exodus 4:10-12, KJV

"10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my LORD, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. 11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? 12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say."

May I however encourage someone there? Yesterday as I taught on series 008, I heard, "Moses is a stammerer but it didn't stop his destiny."

God wants to bring encouragement to some other women or parents who have noticed some health disorder or defects in their kids and till hitherto same has not been amended.

What I heard is that, "it won't affect their destiny in any way negative." As far as we all know, that's all that matters. The destiny of a man that is lived and fulfilled makes him attractive to all and sundry. The 'specialness' Moses' mother sees in him at the very beginning of his life is what he lived up to at day's end. As a matter of fact, that destiny is what God seeks to protect when He gives Moses an adopting mother in Pharaoh's daughter. That's the long road God could walk to ensure that the destiny of your child is untampered with. Moses being a prophet swallows his being a stammerer. Let it be told on the mountains, we obviously identify with Moses being a prophet than being a stammerer. That is what will happen to that child whose difficulty seems to be apparent for now. Once the oil lands on him, he'll be taken over to do what he couldn't have done ordinarily. Oil is not only for those called or ordained into ministry. A scientist needs the oil of his field to excel as one. There is oil or grace for every office or field God is calling your child to. If he were to be a world renown painter but with a challenge in the arm, you'd be shocked that such challenge would be bypassed until he becomes that same artist in a way people would wonder how he paints knowing the difficulty at hand. How many imagine Nick Vujicic would turn out who he is currently? A Serbian born Australian -American evangelist and motivational speaker, having tetramelia syndrome, a disorder characterized by the absence of arms and legs. Yet, he has come to take life by its horn. He does things for himself as if he has no missing parts. Instead of being depressed, he's the motivator. He found himself and success, fame and wealth have now followed him. He's happily married to a complete woman and also with kids of his own. What else could a man have asked for?

Look, God will take him or her over so that the testimony that'll come of him or her would be, "this is he that was thought could never be in his sixth month (in the field where God would have him or her used). Yet, he's there and has colonized it.

People, including yourself might have thought what can this one do? You might have been haunted with hopelessness but only with some ray of light encouraging. God is saying, "I Who made the mouth shall take over his/her mouth or that part that needs a taking over." God asked Moses when He was about sending him,  "who created the human mouth?" God was with Moses' mouth. Though he eventually bargained until God gave him Aaron (for a mouthpiece), yet it is whatsoever he tells Aaron he (Aaron) reemphasizes. In the same way, God will glorify Himself in and through that human weakness, frailty and defect of your child. God told Paul in II Corinthians 12:9 "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." As such, Paul glories gladly in his infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon him. I see same as a way out. God wants to cause a better wonder by working through such weakness inherent in your child's earthen vessel to bring about His glory. Relax and let God take all the glory. It's a journey to destination of wonders. Nothing changes still in his or her preordained destiny. When God's fire fell on Elijah's sacrifice on Mount Carmel, it consumed everything at sight including the stubborn impediments: the stones and the water. The fire leaked up the water instead of being stopped by it. Imagine that! Your child by God's outstretched arm on him will swallow up his defects. It won't show again therefore. The potency of your child's calling will ingest, absorb and assimilate to nothingness the defects that should have hindered him in fulfilling his destiny. In same way fire consumes with rage out of sight, his grace shall consume and overpower all his perceived human weaknesses. As such, only strength, grace and his prowess shall be revealed and heralded.

PRAYER: Lord, let your strength, the grace of the office or field you're calling my child into overwhelm and swallow any infirmity or impediment that can restrict him.

YOUR BABY IS GOODLY AND WHOLE - Your Baby Series 008

Exodus 2:2, KJV

"And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months."

Your baby will be whole. If you're pregnant, that's the confession to affirm. If your baby or child is not currently because of an ailment or anomaly, be full of expectation as God will be healing all babies or even fetuses with a thing wrong with them.

Did you observe in our reading that it was said of Moses that he was goodly, beautiful or a proper child as rendered by another translation? That describes a uniqueness, unusuallity and gift he was born with. That paints him as the kind of child anyone would love to have. No one wants to have a child that'll be sickly, repressed or one showing signs of down syndrome for instance. We want a perfect baby - a beautiful or special one. Such that we'll be proud of. We want a good and perfect gift free from the perversion of Satan.

That's God's intention for all expectant and nursing mothers. Be assured, nothing shall go wrong or tamper with the constitution of the fetus in you or the child you now carry. This perfection that God declares utmostly touches on your child's destiny also. All is new, good, special, beautiful and unique. Your baby has been made in a mould that was not, is not and will not. This makes him or her the special individual that he/she is. And as I speak, I am anointed to say, "nothing shall corrupt the seed you have received as special from the Lord." Birth procedures, complications and any sort of mishaps (even spiritual) shall not dicily change them to another from that special and astounding creation God made them.

As such, be assured if you're very much afraid that your baby can turn out sick or physically challenged due to medical reports. If there's any conviction that necessitates such, the basis for them all is what God is attending to on your behalf now. I change such report to good news. I call you to believe God's report of healing and right mind for them. Who has believed my report? (Isa.53:1). God is at this hour visiting the root of any problem that has been detected medically and He's putting it right. This other daughter of the house of Levi carried Moses to term without any mishap being recorded. You're also a Hebrew woman and her lot is your lot. You're Abraham's seed. As such, be assured that you shall have a good outcome. Your child is beautiful, handsome, proper and special. He's a gift with a bundle of gifts in him. Nothing short of this!

PRAYER: My child is whole, goodly, unique, versatile, able, enabled, eloquent and capacitated. He's a perfect gift.

THE SIXTH MONTH WITH HER WHO WAS CALLED BARREN - Your Baby Series 007

Luke 1:36, KJV

"And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren."

A woman once had complications and her womb had to be removed. The consequence is that she'll never ever be able to conceive let alone hold her own baby. The medical experts even went ahead to provide the couple with the alternative of adoption. You'll agree it makes sense to do. Like they'll say, "they care but God cures." Without disregarding or mocking medicine however, God overturned this report to give this woman a man child! That's nothing short of a miracle.

Michael Jordan speaks about himself: "At school when I was a little boy, I was told: "You will never play basketball. You're too skinny, you have no coordination, and you cannot think properly, you cannot find your way in the field." But I was obsessed with basketball. Every morning, I woke up at 5am, went to the gym, where I would throw the ball for 3 hours before school. There were cockroaches and rats everywhere in the darkness, but every day in the morning, with tears in my eyes, I continued to train and improve my movements. Every day for three years in a row, I kept on training. Once, one of the starting players on the team turned his ankle so he could not continue playing. They called me: "Come here, do you know how to play?" "Yes, I do." Well, come on, go and replace him!" He went to the court and began to throw the ball into the basket. The whole place went ablaze with cheers. The coach says, "stay on the court. We'll find a place for you in the team".

That legendary basketball player whose all his records haven't yet been broken is he who was told would never play basketball. Yet, the sport became his lifetime hobby and he not only played but went far gone in it.

As Gabriel announces God's divine conception that'll take place to Mary, he also notifies her about the state of Elizabeth, her cousin. Gabriel tells her, "your cousin Elizabeth is also pregnant with a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren."

Hallelujah! Glory be to God! That's nothing short of a miracle. It means, "to their shame, look at what God has done for her despised!" I just have one work to do. That's to proclaim to you what the Lord is saying. And what's He saying? It's that, "you'll not only see or experience the season they said can't come on you, you'll be far gone in it." That's what I heard which launched this teaching.

While I've been on opening your sight to the destiny and specialness of your child, yet I concur there may be waiting mothers whose eyes are lifted to God, saying, "Lord, when shall I carry mine?" To such, especially to those that some men have vowed would never carry theirs, God is saying, "you shall enter you sixth month too. You'll not only enter but you'll see the ninth month and hit delivery also."

Like Gabriel says to Mary, "is anything too difficult for the Lord?" That need to be settled if you've become doubtful and hopeless considering how long you've been waiting. Elizabeth was in her old age yet it was never late for her. She conceived, saw the sixth month, entered the last trimester and delivered her baby safe and sound. This is just your testimony. It'll be shame to those who have mocked you when they hear or discover that you're in your sixth or far-gone month.

The mouth of the Lord has spoken good concerning you that you too shall experience that experience of a nursing mother. You shall be called a mother alongside other mothers. You shall have your own experience to share and your baby to bear. You will enter into your sixth month! It doesn't matter what people have called you. Did they call you sterile or infertile, let all that alone. Just confess with me, "I'm seeing my sixth month! I'm having my own bouncing baby!"

PRAYER: The God of all open doors, I call on you asking to be far-gone in the experience and event they said will never come on me. [Mention the event as peculiar to you].

YOU SHALL FIND THEM - Your Baby Series 006

Genesis 48:11, KJV

"And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath shewed me also thy seed."

Yesterday, I prophesied that your children when given up are as bread casted on the water that'll be found after many days and are as a corn of wheat sown in the soil but to bring forth plentifully in return.

In this way, you'll not only get what you gave or yielded up but rightly receive a dividend over same. I have a succinct illustration from the Bible to illustrate this.

When Jacob's children  report back to him that a wild animal has eaten Joseph (amidst the false proof of the coat of many colours soaked in blood), Jacob would not be comforted. He weeps and calls himself many unfortunate names (I suppose). He said lamenting, "I'll go down into the grave to my son mourning" (Gen.37:35). After many days, he agreed with his fate and forever yielded up Joseph. He never thought of meeting or receiving him back again until Joseph sent chariots and many tangibility to begin to wake and rouse his father to the proof of his existence. Jacob was dazed and he'll not be doused until he had seen Joseph for himself. He'll need to touch his flesh like Thomas (the doubter did to Jesus) and by this be assured that indeed herein is Joseph.

Such day eventually came and went by. Consequently upon Jacob's death bed, Jacob confesses, "I have not thought seeing your face again but now I see also your issues."

From yielding up Joseph, he literally sowed him into the manifestation of his purpose and glory. At the end, he not only received Joseph, he received a family with him!

Brethren, temporary departure even if it is a death of a beloved one isn't the end. Reunion is assured in Christ - the eternal life (John 3:16, I Cor.15:52).

Are there parents here whose children walked out and never return? Are their carers here whose children have been lost to the wide whole world of sin and immorality? Though that was not your wish for them but I'm moved to say, "you'll have them back". They shall be retrieved and you shall know joy together once more at the family table. Let all prodigal children return. Let the remembrance of God and home strike your heart to the core. Be brought to repentance and yield up your life with sinners. You're regained.

PRAYER: Thank you Lord for the miracle of retrieving back my lost child. I receive them in good health and all perfection. [Make that your confession]. Pray for backslided Christians and those who strayed that you know.

TRUST GOD AND PASS THE BATON - Your Baby Series 005

Exodus 2:10, KJV

"And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water."

Jim Elliot says, "he is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose." In Africa or let me say ancient Africa, parenting is a community work and not the reserve of the biological parents only. I'm still on your child. Only that, I might tilt towards parenting and what your attitude should be towards passing the baton. Let your prayer as a parent from day one be, "God, raise parents for my kid at all time." You're not praying this because you lack faith that you won't see tomorrow. Rather, because separation will one day be inevitable.

Moses was forced to leave the hands of her parents. No parents living and doing well would look at a baby (a three month old) and toss him off like that. Even if the father ever solicits for such, it won't come easily to the mother who'll still be filled with the memory of the birth pangs. On this basis, such child is therefore not easily yielded up. However, Moses had to leave her parents' hands and eventually their home. He had to be 'casted off'. He had to be tossed to another. He had to go away and painfully as a child. Your own might need to grow into an adolescent before that fat is shed but one thing is sure, he or she will fly. A bird is born to fly and not remain in its nest. Or, do you wish for a child to retain and nurse all your life? You got the message.

Be willing when it's the divine time to release the rein and let your child go. The call of destiny will arrive for each child differently at their time. There are children who won scholarships to travel out of the country and far away from their parents even while just Junior Secondary School students. Samuel didn't reach that age before he was boarded away to live with Eli. So, it might be your child's turn and his destiny to leave early to the academy or a definite place of destiny coaching. Joseph also had to walk this road. He was forcefully cut off from his loving dad and home. Yet, all in preparation for the manifestation of God's plan for him. Not knowing when this call might call, it's your responsibility to build structure in your child very early. It'll include teaching the concept and existence of God, faith in Jesus and ensuring their personal salvation, gender definition and its perversion, ethics and morals, self identity and esteem, patriotism for fatherland and pride in one's origin, people and culture.

One major thing that's difficult for parents to do is to let the ship of their children sail. They feel a kind of loss letting them go and though it might be hard to bear, you shall find them back. They'll be like bread cast on the water that shall be found many days hence (Eccl. 11:1) and a seed of corn sown that will assuredly bring forth plentifully (John 12:24).

I might as well pronounce as I just perceived that God is sending adopting parents before some of you. For whatsoever reason for which your son or daughter needs to be beloved, shown kindness or tender love, spoken or advocated for, God will raise mouth to speak and hands to bear him up (even in a strange land). God raised a parent for Moses. He was adopted when his parents from a clear conscience were forced to abandon him. At day's end, the testimony coming from this act is, "and Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds" (Acts 7:22). Imagine! Look at the good education he received through adoption. God needed to familiarize him with the court and system He'll later send him to resist also. As such, God sent him ahead.

Adoption is not always evil when it is an initiation of the Lord. It always has a happy ending. Upon separation from your kids, either on daily basis when you leave them at the creche or wherever, God will find parents for them even in their teachers. Such parents are those who'll jealous for them with your jealousy. They'll care for them like you will do. Sunday school teachers, creche carers, nannies, caring relatives, grandparents etc are those who need to be rightly filled with an adoption spirit because it is in their company your child will spend time. Is it his time for enrollment in school? Send him and let him be properly adopted and mentored. Don't slacken the ride for him or he might experience delayed manifestation. I pray for your kid, he'll find men to receive him in every time of need.

A BIOGRAPHY: A BRAND PLUCKED OUT OF THE BURNING" - Your Baby Series 004

On February 9, 1709, Reverend Samuel and Susannah Wesley's family survived a fire accident that threatened their survival and consumed nearly all their possessions. The family's eight children were eventually saved but we need to look critically at the saving of John Wesley. Of the family, John Wesley was the one whose rescue costs going the extra mile - thereby bringing to the sense of a meditator that this boy is no ordinary one.

Betty, a servant of the Wesley was said to have gone to the nursery to get the youngest children, including one who was barely one. Bearing the little ones, she called on 5-year old John Wesley to follow her to safety. At arrival however, John was missing. Susannah Wesley who was in her third trimester of pregnancy and who had escaped with a burnt legs explains that Betty "left Jacky (for so was John Wesley also called) to follow her, but he, going to the door and seeing all on fire, ran back again."

Samuel attempted multiple rescue of John but he was prevented by the flames that has now consumed the staircase. He returned to the garden fearing John could not be saved. The family even prayed to God to receive his soul. They lost all hope!

When a glimpse of him was caught at the window of the now very consumed house, some quick witted resourceful men reached the window with one climbing his neighbour's shoulders. This was after he (John Wesley) had yelled and yelled with no help coming from outside. It wasn't long the roof of his room gave way. This experience made his mother allude to him as "a brand plucked from the burning" (Zech. 3:2).

His father commenting later said, "come, neighbours! Let us kneel down! Let us give thanks to God! He has given me all my eight children: let the house go: I am rich enough!" His joy knew no bounds as he kissed John repeatedly in an outstanding emotional outburst and thanksgiving to God.

John Wesley would later go on to found the Methodist Church and be revered as one of the great revivalists of all time in church history. It is clear from his saving that God grants special salvation to people for a purpose He intends. Of all the eight children's rescue, his was the most dramatic, suspenseful or even foregone.

Where it seems there's no way, God shall create a way for you. This story and testimony is acquaintance to many though this one may be particular to John Wesley. However, many many dangerous things did many people escape. Such special deliverance should be noted. Moses met his deliverance and that culminates in the name and testimony that he was "drew out of the water". This is the lot of your kid at faces of dangers. They are given to experience escape when the flood of life comes. They'll be "drew out of the water", "plucked from the burning", "preserved in famine" and kept in all situations.

The Bible says in Job  5:19, "He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee." Then it goes on to make a long list of all the things God will deliver you and your baby from (Job 5:20-26). What a list! What a deliverance! You can believe for this. It is truth. It is reality.  Irrespective of what the situation is, await God's escape. He delivers even from famine, insufficiency and scarcity that the economy of your country might have caused. He'll come. He'll not hold back. He'll arrive to draw your baby out of perils (no matter what it may be) to the preservation of his soul.

PRAYER: Special deliverances and rescues are mine and ours. In all, I am more than a conqueror.

PRAYER: El-shaddai, the great carer and loving God from whom come all good and perfect gifts, cut a covenant of preservation with my kid(s).

DREW OUT OF THE WATER - Your Baby Series 003

Exodus 2:10, KJV

"And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water."

Why would a mother choose a name, "drew out of the water" for her child? Experiences have been regarded as one of the factors that necessitates what name a child bears. Moses is no exception of this. He is a survivor of water that could have drowned him. Looking back therefore, Pharaoh's  daughter (his new parent) who knows his background found no other suitable name to call him but, "drew out of the water". This name alludes to God's salvation wrought on Moses. The Bible says in Psalm 91:16, "with long life will I satisfy you and show you my salvation." Salvation means deliverance, rescue or escape in this context.

When she was revealing to our news correspondents why she named the child presented to her "Moses", she said, "because I drew him out of the water!"

Let us be men full of understanding. In essence, this dark or black Egyptian (African) woman is saying, "I can't forget how he was saved. He could have died. He was a baby meant to die but at a turning, he was saved." Reminiscing over Moses' miraculous deliverance, this young chap got the name, "drew out of the water."

First, this name is full of appreciation and past remembrance. It's to call Moses himself to the awareness of his special destiny as one in debt to God almighty (who had saved him). Moses was just a baby when the event happened. He wouldn't know if he wasn't told. However, this remembrance of God's salvation (coded in his name) would lead him to enquire why he was named, "drew out of the water." Knowing he was drew out of the water, he himself can't but come to gratitude and be full of sensitivity to the fact that God has a use or purpose for him later on in his life. His school mates who don't know better might call him, "waterboy" but the correct interpretation of the event that could have claimed his life would lead him to self estimation and identity. Moses can't but find himself therefore! He won't be a lost soul like others who couldn't find themselves because they couldn't see an uncommon thing or uniqueness that speaks volumes about their non-ordinariness. That experience which reveals God's interest in him from babyhood would lead him to seek that for which God saved him from drowning.

This story of Moses tells of the many dangers that babies can be exposed to for which we have a sure promise that they'll all be saved from them with none of their bones ever breaking.

God's salvation or deliverance is sure over your baby. Even in the water, on land or in the air, He'll go all out for them. Your baby is the "drew out of the Lord" whenever the messes of life come with high hopes of messing them up. The testimony will be, "the event came but God's grace saved them." They can't be shamed. They'll rather be "drew [rescued]" out of danger. Escape and deliverance will locate them and that right early.

PRAYER: Lord, let your potent protection and shield like a rainbow in the sky and a tent cover my kid(s).

INDEED, MOSES IS SPECIAL! - Your Baby Series 002

Exodus 2:5-6, KJV

"5 And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it. 6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children."

That's the story of how God ran to save Moses and have him adopted by Pharaoh's daughter.

I began yesterday by showing you how special Moses was. His being unusual was sensed by his parents who moved swiftly to preserve him (whether he might indeed be preserved by their doing from the king's harsh and looming command of death).

However, there was an extent they could go and not go further. After three months of hiding Moses, they concur to the impracticality of continuing, else they are disclosed big time. On this wise, they were forced and seriously necessitated to yield him up. Observe their love for Moses in not wanting to yield him up at all despite how consequential they knew defying Pharaoh's order would be. That's the typical mother's or parents' love working for their kids. The Bible says in Isaiah 49:15, "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.?"

The answer is almost an impossibility if not an impossibility. That affection is just there to protect what is yours. You're naturally called to duty for them. However, when Moses' parents couldn't go any further, they released the rein to God and He didn't disappoint. He immediately picks up Moses and finds him an adopted mother.

That act of God in picking him up after he was kind of forsaken by his parents is what I'm specializing on today. I said in yesterday's devotional that what is special is valuable to us and protected likewise. The fact that Moses isn't ordinary but has a special destiny to fulfill is seen in the fact that when his mother releases him to the Nile, God rushes to pick him up. So, it isn't only the parents who now seeks to preserve Moses (by making a waterproof cot for him) but God is also there to save him that rightly by providing him with a legal uncontested adoption. Have you read the Bible portion which says, "on their hands they'll bear you up lest you dash your foot on a stone" (Psalm 91:12). That exactly is how prompt Moses' deliverance was. God rushed and caught him!Let me tell you something. Any child with a uniqueness, specialness and unusuallity of destiny is such that cannot dash his foot on a stone. When they tumble, they always fall into God's hands. Even if such baby or child is on his way to hitting the ground, God will rush and send His troops to bear him up. There will just be salvation (an eleventh hour escape from the blues or less thought off quarters). That's what happen to Moses. He's an investment of God. He's a tool in God's hands who must grow up to discharge why he was birthed. So, he must not die as a baby. Rather, all things must be put in place for his survival until his time of appearing and manifesting his divine destiny (which the mother smelt at his birth) be fulfilled.

This series 002 is laying emphasis on the fact that God is specially interested in that foetus in your womb, that baby on your knees or that child at the creche. They all have their unique and special destiny and it has now become God's responsibility to make hope for them until they fulfill what was written of them in the volume of God's book. The psalmist talks of God making hope for him at his mother's breasts. As such he didn't die. He survived to live on.

Psalms 22:9, KJV

"But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts."

The testimonies of your children - those unique babies of yours is Isaiah 43:2 which says, "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee."

Destiny children may begin to face hell from childhood but that hell won't take or consume them. They'll come forth as gold. Escape will be theirs from the Lord. Therefore, I declare that your baby shall live. Is any baby being prepared for a surgical operation there, you shall survive? God shall put resources, circumstances and people in your future just for the fulfilment of your destiny. I call providence and the arm of God to see you off on your journey. So shall it be for your children. Amen.

PRAYER: El-shaddai, the great carer and loving God from whom come all good and perfect gifts, cut a covenant of preservation with my kid(s).

A SPECIAL BABY DESERVES A VIGILANT CARE - Your Baby Series 001

Exodus 2:2-3, KJV

"2 And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months. 3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink."

For some days, I'll be speaking on destiny or calling or the life's  work of your baby or child. I want to show you God has ordained that your baby (either in the womb or on your knees now) be ordered in some ways. Before then however, I might need to introduce to you parents' jealousy over their wards.

A man of the house of Levi went and found to marry a daughter of the house of Levi. This union produces Moses, God's prophet. Only for Moses to be birthed at a time Hebrew children are being killed. When he was born, his mother couldn't let go because she could see that Moses was a special child. Specific disclosures on what makes Moses special aren't categorically given. One may dangle whether it is physical tangibility or just the smelling of the unusuality of Moses' destiny. However, it could have been both as well. If we should consult some other Bible versions, you'll hear all these said about Moses.

"...She saw that he was a special baby and kept him hidden three months" (NLT).

"When she saw that he was a fine child, she hid him three months" (NIV).

"She saw there was something special about him and hid him" (The MSG).

In all these translations, we  contact Moses' uniqueness in varying language descriptions. Either something physical or just the sensing of his destiny; Moses' mother sees right. What God wants her to see in her child is what she saw. As such, she leaves the category of parents who don't see any uniqueness or attached value in their kid. This ability to see and identify correctly what her child carries now leads to the special cherishing of Moses. How?

We read that she refused to yield Moses up when she could have done so earlier. Despite Pharaoh's command, she dared to risk her own life for Moses.

Hebrews 11:23, KJV

"By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment."

She must have secretly believed that God would revoke the king's commandment within the time of hiding Moses. Though nothing came the way she expected change, yet God took another way to spare Moses' life.

What am I saying? When you observe and measure certainly that your baby is not ordinary, you want to pay closer and stronger attention to him. Since we give our time and valuables to protect what is dear to us, you'll as well see to it that your special children in every way possible have the best that God ordains for them and the best you can give. It is this that'll lead you to preserve them for their destiny, calling or life's work. When Moses' mother hid him, she did because of the special destiny that's ahead of Moses that she could perceive. I'll theorize assuredly now that what she saw must have transcended physical  handsomeness of Moses. Don't forget that this mother of Moses is from the tribe of Levi and a Hebrew woman. There must have been certain things that her training and special knowledge of God must have availed her on Moses. Due to that, she becomes more jealous for him. She wouldn't give him up and when she eventually does because circumstances mandated her, she did all her best to ensure Moses' safety. She takes a special cover and house for Moses. She had to daub it with slime and pitch so that water will not penetrate it and as that ark or cot was released, she commits Moses to God's care in tears. Indeed, God proves worthy. He appears to draw Moses out of the water. It's from this experience Moses got his name meaning "drew out of the water" (Exo.2:10).

As we journey on this new series, parents and sponsors should pay attention. God is saying, "one major reason why parents will give their best to the human spirit He has sent to them (now in human flesh) is having a revelation of that gift as no ordinary one.  A baby is not common though common. If you have it, it is a gift from God and He wants you to exercise special jealousy over them like Moses' mother does. This jealousy categorically should be in protecting them from distractions so they can fulfill their destiny as ordained for them by God and as it might have been consequently revealed to you - the parents (just as Moses' mother smelt his destiny).

I pray that you won't trivialize with what makes your child special as to jettison it or the training that can groom him for pseudo ones. May you rather cling to the specialness of your child and with all your strength preserve and raise him to discharging just that.

PRAYER: Father of all spirits, open my eyes to see and smell the destiny (uniqueness) of my kid(s) and preserve them for same.
