"Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?"

One wise man of old - Solomon he bears, observed a reversal of a law in play. He was disturbed and in his careful observation said this.

Ecclesiastes 3:16, KJV

"And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there."

Is this not absurdity that where justice should be vied for, it is denial that springs from there? If you come to discover that the throne that should be established on justice and truth is actually the nest of falsehood and criminality, how much would your disappointment be? People of God, it is God's utmost desire as citizens of His kingdom that our life won't bring forth mixtures.

Our passage for today says, can a fountain bring forth fresh and bitter water from the same place? It is impossible as proved. A fountain or source of water either chooses to manifest one of the two when issuing from a place. You are a fountain of water. God would be the more pleased if you're sick and it's known you need restoration of health than you acting healthy when you're sick thereby leaving us without discernment of where you really belong. Did He not in the first place come to minister to the sick? [Matt.9:12]. He that is neither cold nor hot, God would spue out of His mouth. If God won't tolerate double lives, it therefore becomes a standard that we should be known for only the exhibition of one life - in our case - righteousness.

How many of you have discovered something about those who seriously profess to be Christians or ministers but who are not in deed and indeed? How did you feel at discovery that what he is reputed for or hailed to be is actually not the life he's living? Did you not feel disappointed? Did you not shout against pretence? Did you not say it would have been better even if she were a whore than projecting the picture of a sister to the world? At such discovery, you're shattered and you recline that it would be better if he were even known as the greatest evil doer. You see, each one of us loves honesty but many times, we don't play by its rule. We don't want deception in any form. We want somebody that belongs to this caste and indeed belongs there. We don't want a fellow who would profess to be with us but at discovery, they are not for us. Do you know why? We'll feel cheated. We'll feel like we've been used and deceived for long - having been taking for a fool. Put God in your shoe at the discovery of the double life you're living while still claiming loyalty to Him or righteousness. Just like you'll feel lied to and made a fool of, that's how God feels about us when we have divided heart and live double lives. On that note, God abhors double lives. He'll rather you're cold or hot [Rev. 3:15-16]. He always want to know who we are every time. It is that sincerity that determines what ministration we would need from Him. Today, God is calling you to repentance and a jettisoning of that twin life that issues bitter water. God would have loved if you're a chronic sinner that all heart must stay on to get born again than a wolf in sheep clothing in the congregation of saints lifting up holy hands. That's an error but also, it shouldn't be found in you if you profess to be for Christ's that there's a commodity of Satan in you at inspection. Please, how do we categorise you? Make it easier for God and we today!

PRAYER: I want to issue only fresh water (righteousness). Show me areas to shut down where my testimony before you and the world is bitter and contrary.

APPEASING THE PROUD

Read II Kings 5:1-15

II Kings 5:13, KJV

"And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?"

To quench a raging fire, you don't start another. You rather seek for water by whose ability the fire could be quenched. In today's reading, the King of Syria would give anything for the recovery of Naaman's leprosy. This shows the invaluable of Naaman to him. Were we not told he was the one by which victory was brought to Syria? So, what would be too costly to spend on him? On that basis, a letter was sent to the King of Israel to cure Naaman of his leprosy. Finally, the message of the letter got to its rightful address and found Elisha - a prophet in Israel. Naaman came in his almightiness. He came with convoy, with chariots and horses. So many body guards surrounded him that day. He was expecting Elisha to come out and wave his hand over the place, calling on God's name and recovering him. However, God's way is not man's. God must have been bent to humble Naaman and purge him of the dross in him. Elisha, an authority in his own right didn't even show up. He only sent instructions that Naaman should go bathe in the Jordan by dipping himself in there seven times. Naaman wouldn't take this. He flared up and up he went home in his chariot. Imagine the attitude of he who was looking for a cure. Some are expectant mothers but their attitude is the same. Some have terminal sicknesses yet their sense of ego, wealth and the deception of riches is still not letting them humble themselves to receive their healing. They're still trying to understand why the prophet would instruct so simply. They're still contesting it like Naaman. If they were given the choice, they'll prefer to go carry out the given instruction in Abana or Pharpar when the Spirit of the Lord that doesn't lie says Jordan. Is that not with a cause?

On hearing this, the entire household was concerned for Naaman. Now, who will bell the cat? Who will go to change his view and persuade him to give it a try? Just then, some of his household servants who must have rehearsed the matter before presentation walked up to him. They must have taken humble postures to appease the god of the tribe of Syria - Naaman who was offended and angry at Elisha and his humiliating instructions. The servant who served as spokesman for others called him, "My father". That's who he is to them but more importantly it shows the humble spirit in which that servant came to have his attention and sue for his reconsideration. Then, he presented the matter in a logical way to him. In a manner that if reasoned, any selfish, egoistic man would see that the instruction was actually out to benefit him. Or was it not given to benefit him? It was but he didn't see it because of his disappointed expectation. "If the prophet had bid him to buy fifty oxen for instance, he would have seen it as logical and then bought it. How much more just taking a bathe and getting cleansed?" For the first time like Nebuchadnezzar, his reason came to him [Daniel 4:34,36]. He understood that he shouldn't have been offended at all. Having being persuaded in this manner, he went to carry out the instruction. Behold, the doing of it brought the outcome and he returned with thanksgiving. You see, he was selfish just like we also. When a thing doesn't meet our expectation, we are offended at it.

However, did you see how to make appeals to a spouse, superior, colleague or friend who's stubborn, selfish, egoistic and proud. Same goes for anyone you want to have do a thing. Such may even be your stubborn child. Appeal to their sense of benefit. Humble yourself. Dethrone yourself. Don't count yourself an equal with them. You must be able to say like that servant, "My uncle, my husband: my only darling; His Excellency sir e.t.c." If you however come around and shout saying, "Look at you. Won't you go? Is it until you die?" He won't though he dies in his pride. He'll rather preserve his honour and ego. So, learn today as a parent, child, spouse, subordinate, leader or whatsoever how to have your way with people. We don't need to fight if we have learnt what fits a particular situation and what each person would open to. May you be taught!

PRAYER: Give me the wisdom to esteem another above me. May you teach me how to cultivate and be a benefit to all my relationships and connections. May I not die in my pride when cure and aid is at hand.

A CURSE AND WHAT IT DOES

Read Numbers 22:1-10

Numbers 22:6, KJV

"Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed".

That's wise Balak seeking the service of reputed Balaam to come curse Israel for him. Why should another wake to the destruction of another? As it is here, Israel is Moab's threat and Balak, the King of Moab would see to it that Israel is taken out so it doesn't conquer her like it conquered other reported nations for which Moab fear.

What is a curse? It's a working unseen but which can manifest that becomes an entity - a demon for instance to rule in the affairs of the cursed. Balak couldn't naturally fight and conquer Israel because some nations have tried and failed. On that experimentation, and having heard of the supernatural victories of Israel, he also requested for a supernatural help that might help him subdue them. Why did he request Israel to be cursed? Because Israel is too powerful for him. Begin to think of someone you want to give a knock on the head but who is far taller than you. You need to reach his head and administer the knock but the odds are against you. He's taller than you while naturally you are shorter. You either need high heels to correspond or outgrow his height or you need him to stoop before you see his head available for such knock. Such was the case Balak and his nation fell into. By divine ordination and the sovereignty of God's covenant and blessings working with Israel, no nation could have them fought naturally like that and get them defeated. Having seen this to be true, Balak opted for a way of reducing them to a place of being won. Do you now understand what a curse does? A curse reduces what is tall to what becomes short. It is a curse that makes the invincible to become the vulnerable. Israel is invincible but in the situation room, Balak had gathered that after being cursed, Israel might not be so invincible. The likelihood and chances that she's conquerable would then be opened.

If you're blessed, you don't know what it means until the enemy tries you and they encounter a blockade. That blockade is what every wise enemy always want to remove. Until the removal of that shield of yours, you can't just be touched. Blessing places a "touch not" on you. We have properties that are protected by several things written on them. You'll read a thing like, "Don't enter here. Government's order etc". That simple statement protects that place from being a walkway of men.

A curse brings to a place of vulnerability where the strong becomes the weak and could therefore be handled and the will of the enemy carried out on him. Consider Samson, he was invincible until his source of strength was revealed. After then, he became vulnerable. His two eyes were gorged out and then made a grinder and clown for jests making. Imagine how lowly the strong could become. That secret Samson gave away made him the cursed. That's the purpose of anyone cursing you. It's to subdue you so that anything, anyone and even the least of life situation that others are shelling and defeating could defeat you notoriously. It's then you'll ask, "Why is mine hard? Why can't I do naturally what others are doing and achieving?" Behold, it is a curse. Today, I pray that you won't be weakened. Anything that has weakened you, you recover from such in Jesus name. Even behind you, may Jesus Christ advocate for you not to be cursed. May it be only said of you that, "You're blessed." I break the yoke of curses and the rod of it under which you've been subdued to servitude.

PRAYER: I refuse to be shrunk. Anything or word of man seeking to create a vulnerability in me to be conquered, I rebuke you.

THOSE WHO WILL HAVE WORDS TO SHARE

Numbers 23:3, KJV

"And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place."

Those who will have words to share are those the Lord meets. Unless this Presence meets you, you will come back like you've gone.

Balaam acknowledges he place of God meeting man. When we go to pray while hoping for a response of peace, the answer or conclusion is not in our custody to give. That's why we have gone to wait in the first instance. It is the Lord's to give or withdraw. Have you gone to pray for a thing to turn to A while it turns to B before? In the case of Balak, he wanted Israel to be cursed but God didn't give him that desire. At times, God agrees with our expectations also.

Let's assume you're praying to God on the choice of a marriage partner and you climb up in prayer expecting God to meet you. God may not quickly or at the first time appear. Often, people that receive answers over some things didn't receive it just at first bend of knees. There were moments they climbed up but God was silent. It was total black out. No voice, no sound. There were moments when they prayed with zeal and inspiration and believes God can't but hearken to such prayer but nothing still comes.

One thing that's left to God to give is reply. We can pray but none of us can put words in God's mouth. He will reply or keep shut. He even replies at the time He wills. That's why tarrying in the place of prayer matters. Is it not "the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings to search out a matter?" (Proverbs 25:2 , KJV).

What am I saying? When you pray and God didn't meet with you on the first day or first time of prayer, don't gasp down. Go ahead because He will surely show up. God may tarry but He will surely speak. So, keep watching on your tower. One thing that we don't have in our jurisdiction are the words which is why we come up to know. Except He speaks, we don't have words or assurance over what we've mounted up to pray on. You can fabricate a lie and say that's what the Lord has said but you will know deep down it is from your self.

Balaam said he will go and he will come back to show Balak whatsoever the Lord says if He meets him. That means God may not even show up. It is still peradventure. God may show up or may not. Showing up is where our joy lies. That's our expectation because we need an immediate reply but what if God doesn't show up and is quiet like the dawn?

Is it the first time you start praying on all the things you receive answers on that the Lord gives quick and immediate response? No right? That's what makes God God and humans humans. Because we don't have answers with us ready- made and answers are not always given us at once, that's why we keep coming to God. Those divine words are precious and we don't want any area of our lives to be left in the dark. The need to know drives us to God as we hope we'll know. Today, as you mount up in prayer, trust the Lord to meet you and show you great things which you know not. No one has words to give out or share as revelation except the one God has met. If God didn't meet you, you can't serve as a mouthpiece to those who wait for a response of peace. It is what any prophet hears he says. What would he say if God keeps him in the dark? May God have mercy on all of us and meet us in our places of prayers daily. May you on what you're seeking God for return with an answer of peace. May the table turn in your favour. May it be as you desire and have thought it to be.

PRAYER: Lord, I am your son/daughter. Witness to my heart. Speak to me. Let the Holy Ghost's ministry of the rod and staff bring ministry to me. May I not be without voice or sound at the place of prayer.

FORM OR ELSE!

READ Jeremiah 18:1-10

Jeremiah 18:3-4,KJV

"3 Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. 4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it."

Form or else! It is not a threat. So, don't see it as one. Let your perspective be straight. Regard it as a warning rather; for if you don't form, it has consequences. There are two destinies that await clays that won't form or vessels that get marred. The word "destiny" tells you of destination also. That is, where they may end their existence. In today's reading, the vessel the potter wrought on the wheels was said to mar in his hands. A marred vessel is a broken, spoiled or destroyed one. Such vessel could go either the road of the potter's field or the road of refashioning and then find usefulness in a great house. Those two destinations are so sure. That is why it is better to form at once because of the road of the potter's field that we have experiences and testimonies of many having gone. If while making a vessel, it mars, the probability is very high that the potter may discard it to begin working on a new clay to form a new vessel or same like unto the one that didn't form. Substitution is a reality! Do you know after moulding a thing into a vessel, it takes effort returning it to clay to use to remould? That's why if you enter the potter's house, you may see a lot of incomplete and spoilt vessels. They may tarry at the potter's house but he may consider discarding them one day to clear the house. Meanwhile, that of this vessel is different. This vessel witnessed a great come back. Repentance is key if you want the chance of great come back. The onlookers that watched the potter at his wheels were anticipating the discard of this marred vessel as one that has refused to yield. They're awaiting the potter to declare him unwanted any longer and send it to the circle of those who couldn't make it. However, a witness given us is that the potter refashioned it into another vessel as it seems good in his eyes to do. Here, the potter manifests indeed why the vessel is in his hand. He exercises a kind of dominion on it. Thank God it was the positive one. Herein is the blessing. May God call you too back. May you witness reinstatement. When it seems you're going or gone in the sight and calculation of onlookers and the devil, may you be drawn back. Look at the reappearance of that vessel. It came back another vessel as the potter dims fit. My prayer is just that after you're recovered from having being spoilt (by sin and works of darkness) and you're reinstated, you'll still come as a vessel in the category of honour God previously intended for you since it's possible for the vessel that is reformed to be of lower grade or use to the one the potter previously intended it to be. May your having proved unfaithful at first time not lower your grade as it had proved the reality of many anointed vessels in this life.

PRAYER: In restoration, let me come back as a whole vessel. Mercy of God!

IT HAS BECOME LIKE FLAX CAUGHT BY FIRE

Read Judges 15:6-14

Judges 15:13-14, KJV

"13 And they spake unto him, saying, No; but we will bind thee fast, and deliver thee into their hand: but surely we will not kill thee. And they bound him with two new cords, and brought him up from the rock. 14 And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands."

Samson agreed with the men of Judah to bind him and hand him over to the Philistines. Those ones already came to him wondering what sort of evil he has brought on them since he knows they're under the Philistines. Yet, these Philistines are his own enemy. So, they reached a hypocritical agreement to bind Samson and hand him over under the pretext of Judah being visibly seen by the Philistines as a good subject.

They did. When the Philistines rushed with a shout to apprehend him, something immediately happen to him. The Spirit came on him and when it does, the cords (strong and agile bounds) that were used to bind him became very relaxed, loosed like flax that fire has caught. Look at that experience. He didn't do anything by his energy. He didn't struggle to unbuckle the tie but when the Spirit came upon him, there was a relaxation and loosing of his bound for him yet without any effort except for willingness and desire to be loosed in order to fight the enemy.

Yesterday, by the Spirit, I declared, "it is broken and solved." Today, God is coming for some other people again. This move must not be missed. Hear this, the Spirit also makes difficult things easy. Yesterday, it was the spoken word of the anointed but today, it is the Spirit Himself. Is that not why we have written, "...not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts" [Zechariah 4:6, KJV]. God is not trying to eliminate hard work where you should work righteously to gather but the issue is this, you can't break free by might or your strength where you're under spiritual bondage. Spiritual bondages don't break by effort. If someone is cursed, let him labour from today till tomorrow, his experience will be like that of Peter (though he was not cursed here) that toiled all night yet without catching a thing. He may try saving. He may try giving good customer service in order to retain them. He may even be making some money but he'll see that things are still not adding up. Why? It's spiritual limitation he's fighting and to fight that back, they don't by man's wisdom, personal discipline or improvement etc first of all but by the anointing destroying that yoke. If someone is cursed not to be buoyant financially and he's adding discipline to save, it won't still work. Such will only be frustrated. First of all, take authority over that spirit by which you're cursed. In anyone's life, I cast out such spirit.

The Bible says:

Isaiah 10:27, KJV

"And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing [Holy Spirit]."

When we invent things, we do to serve a particular purpose and eradicate a need. When God gives the anointing also, He does with the hope that we'll be wise enough to learn and understand that it is only the anointing that destroys the yoke. Look, it is not by weeping, shouting or hollering. If any one even lays hands on you void of the anointing, the yoke won't still be broken. But if he speaks the word only or touch you only and it's by God's Spirit (the anointing), you'll immediately receive a testimony of your chains or bound breaking, melting and relaxing or loosing its hold on you. Pay attention to me. God hasn't raised me at this season to partner with the Holy Ghost to show pity on your problems. He raised me with the speaker's mouth given to Jeremiah to pluck down or build up [Jeremiah 1:10].

"It became as flax caught by fire" is today's anointed word meant for your freedom. Samson was under bond but when the Spirit rested on him, the bound knows where to go without even being instructed. It was like that gate that opened to them of its own accord as they approached it. I decree, let your problems melt. Let it answer you by the reason of God's heavy presence heavily present today. Let yokes be destroyed. Let burdens be lifted. Let the deaf hear. Let the blind see. The dumb, speak. The lame, walk. Diseases and sicknesses are declared unwanted. It is the Spirit that sets free. Be freed where you desire freedom!

PRAYER: It is the Spirit that sets free, man's effort profits nothing. Thank God I'm freed.

REFUSE THIS KIND OF EARLY SATISFACTION

Genesis 39:7, KJV

"And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me".

There's a thing known as early satisfaction with mercy. That ain't bad. God promises us that and we should seek to lay claim on it [Psalm 90:14].

Meanwhile, God won't like you receive the type of satisfaction He has not ordained. If it is not coming from God though promises to be great or soothing, let it go like that. There's nothing that God has promised to offer you that awaits fulfilment that Satan won't come around to offer you ahead of their times and seasons.

Potiphar's wife suddenly appear on Joseph's road to the real satisfaction predicted ahead of him and for him. She offered to him without any price at sight what Joseph would later be given for free to enjoy and without fear or guilty conscience that may one day lead to confession. She said, "Come, lie with me". If Joseph had hearkened, there would have been rapid promotion for him in that house because that woman would become her advocate from that day henceforth ad seek to find more space and authority for Joseph that would free his time so he could have time for fun with her but that sole action of his could have postponed forever the fulfilment of his prophecy.

Beware of this type of satisfaction. Also, whenever any incident seems to be bringing this type of temptation of what you need or is pleasurable to you, know that what will meet that need is really around the corner. The devil is in the business of shaking brass before you for gold. He'll shake glamour in exchange for glory. He knows there'll be such that'll exchange birthright for porridge. That's why he comes ahead with luring temptations to deceive many with what is no satisfaction at all.

In God's will for Joseph, a bride has been prepared for her. One he'll marry in honour and amidst national celebration. Satan doesn't want him have this real glory prepared for him and for which he's been prepared. On that note, he came to dangle before him the left over food of another man as the honour of life. This would have been the end of Joseph's journey. Palace would have been terminated amidst wondering of why.

Those who escape a temptation like this are rare. May God help you too not succumb to what quenches thirst but which is not from God. It offers early satisfaction and escape from continuity in struggle but do your due diligence to mark it right if it's coming from the Father of light whose is every good and perfect gift.

PRAYER: Lord, teach me waiting when answer tarries. I will not be deceived into what is not satisfaction.

THOSE WHO COULDN'T MAKE IT

READ Jeremiah 18

Matthew 27:7-8 KJV

"7And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in. 8 Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day."

When you read Jeremiah 18, you saw the potter working at his wheels. While he worked, a vessel he was making was marred in his hands and so he refashioned it into another. His refashioning it into another is what saves this vessel from joining other vessels who couldn't form where they're usually disposed. There's a portion or plot known as the potter's field. This field is where all work of art made of clay that couldn't become the hope of the potter are discarded. That is after they might have been found wanting as the clay itself may determine or turn out to be. If it's fashionable and yielding, it is safe.

Since a potter is a professional who uses clay to mould things into existence, it becomes of him to have the stretching ability of using clay to form anything. Despite this however, there will be clays that may be stubborn and not submit to be formed into a vessel. If he discovers that what he calls clay isn't clay enough, he may discard such work of art that he wrought but which couldn't form properly. So, such work of art are discarded to a land known as potter's field. It's like having a special place where you discard broken bottles etc. At this time, there's a place like that where all vessels that refuse to be formed are dropped. Not only that but also broken vessels or ones that are no longer needed.

Now, the Lord told me and I heard, "you, don't get to the potter's field". There will be ministers or Christians who will end on the potter's field. God has great plans for them to become vessels of honour in His great house but because of their making practices of sin and living contrarily to the very core of their consecration, they will find themselves as unusable but to be discarded to a place called the potter's field in reality. In the potter's field, if you take a walk there, you'll see so many vessels that once decorated the house and were the obsession of the master of the house and envy of visitors. Their time has elapsed and is over for them. These are minstrels and anointed men who were once on stage. They were once listened to and gathered around by men. But now, they have left the shelf of display to the potter's field where the feet only threads on them and says, "shame to you who couldn't concur". When you inspect carefully, you'll see vessels of clay that are yet to dry. These are the category that God was training to send but who begin to despise the training and discipline of God over their lives. Seeing they were these reprobate, God handed them to be sent to the potter's field. Once a vessel of clay or clay itself gets to the potter's field, it rarely finds its way back to the potter's house except on very few and uncommon situations when the master by mercy may need such vessel for a reason that only he (He) knows best. Today, God is coming for everyone who names the name of the Lord. The foundation of the Lord stands sure. This Father of ours that we must not take His generosity for granted knows those who are His. So, He's saying, "let everyone who names the name of Christ or claims identification with Him depart from iniquity." If not, one thing is the consequence even if such is an esteemed minister. He will end where others who couldn't form or were formed but were marred and not refashioned ended. He'll finish his race on the shattered, scattered, vulnerable and ugly potter's field where multitude of clay works resides who have failed to meet the Master's expectation. How I pray for you that as you confess your sins and turn from them, that mercy will locate you. Your heart will be changed so that you won't live habitually disobediently to God. Beware, the potter's field is real. It is carved for the rejected just like hell is created for all whose name won't be found in the book of the Lamb.

PRAYER: Lord, don't exclude me from your will. Grant me divine inclusion and another chance. Let your mercy find me. I am reinstated. A miraculous come back.

WHAT YOU MUST DO VERY QUICKLY AT ITS SET TIME

Read Luke 5:1-6,

Confess Psalm 102

Luke 5:4-6, KJV

"4 Now when he had left, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. 6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake."

There's an opportunity that you must quickly take. It's like profit that you must quickly rake in. It seems to me that things have been made ready but await your response in gathering same.

Jesus told Peter, "launch out into the deep". Those words aren't words that were spoken to prepare him. They were rather to stir action from him. He had long anticipated results.

"Launch out" means to proceed and take action concerning a thing which Peter in this place already know since he has been instructed concerning the deep. So, it was not preparation or thought time for him. It was launching time.

When Jesus said "launch", He didn't say it from an empty stomach. He said it from assurance of what He knew would happen. Under the sea, fishes have already gathered awaiting Peter to launch out. Things have been put on ground. That's why it was Peter's opportune time. It's time to harvest and do cheaply without sweating unlike last night's. His time to gather what was not previously there. When Jesus said "launch into the deep", the fishes that were not available before heard the voice of their Maker and quickly came to do the bidding of He that created them and for which purpose He created them. I'm hearing concerning somebody that things that were not previously there are now there. Repositioning has taken place. A kind of bringing back. Things created to meet your needs won't flee from you. You will attract them and they will likewise be attracted to you. There will be mutual attraction. Those fishes had afore rejected Peter though he needed them. For that reason, he toiled (worked hard) to gather them all night, yet nothing. That's how wealth distances itself from people despite hard labour. You can have desire but fulfilment may not complement it. If you ask Peter if he desires fishes, does it not even show he was in dire need by his trying and retrying on the basis of hope whether he'll catch a thing. Yet, at night's end (when the day breaks), not even a dime. Some are labouring (putting in all) without compensation. Don't say it's impossible. Hard work doesn't equals reward all the time. He TOILED and then did ALL NIGHT. Despite this, no result! Have you not heard People say, "despite the night duty, the extra hour, is this all I get?" It means they got nothing! Night duty without pay! Look, I cause a change of your story. I call fulfilment to align with your desires.

What God is saying is, "Now is the time to favour you. Your opportune time is now.

Psalms 102:13, KJV

"Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the TIME TO FAVOUR her, yea, the SET TIME, is come."

"The time to favour her and set time" means your opportune time. Things have been solved for you. Just use it to touch it and you'll have it! Midas touch I see.

PRAYER: Thank You the Spirit of ease. I'm not slow in possessing. I claim all that was not previously visible to see. I gather into barn. Seed time has become harvest time for me!

"And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt".

Pharaoh said, "I am Pharaoh" to Joseph! Did he not know he was Pharaoh? Don't forget that at this time, Joseph had cracked opened his two dreams hinting at future abundance and famine. It was after this incident of correct interpretation and recommended remedy which pleased Pharaoh that Pharaoh himself said in front of all his people, "Can we find a man like this?"

On that note, Joseph was promoted by him as the second ruler after him. Pharaoh said it himself that he would only be greater than Joseph in the throne. He earmarked the kingdom to him immediately having found him worthy of such. While doing that, he concretized his doing of that as being effective and irrevocable by saying, "I am Pharaoh!" Why would he say he was Pharaoh to Joseph when Pharaoh himself knew he was Pharaoh and when all standing by knew he was Pharaoh? He wanted who he is, his abilities and all embodiment to be distilled into them and remembered.

Have you seen somebody pull or use his name or title as prove of assurance or guaranty for another before? That's exactly what he did. When he said he was Pharaoh, he was indeed saying all he has said are irrevocable and to be trusted because of who they know him to be. They'll stand fast and can't change because he who has power and authority to make such decree or move is he who has made them. In case you or anyone standing is doubtful, it pleases me to remind you all that, "I am Pharaoh".

Whenever I update my status or speak to people who don't know me or are doubtful of me, I do say, "I am Olusola ADEJUMO". Whenever I say that, somehow I feel strong, capable and become one who can do all things through God who strengthens me. Other than that, why do I say that? I want those hearing it to have faith in me. I believe a believe in me as a minister can give them something. Many times, when we hear of a person's name, who they are immediately hits us and we come to terms with all their capabilities. The same is the revelation that Pharaoh wanted Joseph to hold at hand here. He is Pharaoh and as he has said, "Without Joseph, no man would lift hand or foot in Egypt." That's the power he's giving him and no one can question it because Pharaoh (whom everybody should fear or submit to) has said so. He spoke as the final authority and he wants all to know and be reminded of who has spoken. When he says, "I am Pharaoh", he seals all he has said by that saying and makes it one that no one could contest or seek to rival.

Have you not read in the Bible the Lord almighty Himself saying, "I am the Lord" also? He'll even say, "That's my name and I change not" [Isa. 42:8]. Why would He also say "I am the Lord"? Is it that we've forgotten? No. He wants us to see His almightiness and how far his reach goes. He wants us to believe in Him and know if He's the Lord, then there's nothing that's impossible to be done or settled by Him.

Brethren, there's one thing I want you see. Discover yourself which would lead you to calling people to trust and believe in who God has called you. I am the refuge of some people and I am not saying that by pride. It is because God made me so. Whenever my siblings for instance lack assurance, are troubled or need settlement, I do like to call them to the reinforcement of things being possible by saying, "I am Olusola ADEJUMO". At times, I'll even say "Believe in God and believe in me". That last statement were words of assurance spoken by Jesus to some people for their confidence and encouragement. So, see yourself as the "sure banker" of some people. If God has made you so to people, decree yourself to them like that until people have no iota of doubt in what you can do for them. I'm not an ordinary Olusola. I'm the anointed Olusola. So, that's what I call people to believe in. That all things is possible to be wrath by He who called me and is using me. No one says he is somebody to people who's not that thing first of all. Just like I want my siblings to be assured I am Olusola ADEJUMO who can pay their school fees and sponsor them to the height they may want to reach is how God wants you to become he who people could depend on. May you be found worthy to be such whose name and labour would be such that could be rested on.

"When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom".

From time immemorial, man has taken several initiatives to distinguish invaluable men from the other. One of such distinction is achieved by the specialness or rarity of things owned. There was a particular time that paper was only available for the nobles'. Also, you must have heard of phrases like, "Made for me; cut to fit, tailored towards my needs e.t.c before?". All these expressions came out of the inventions of professionals to meet the needs of their clients. Things could be made just for you. A fashion designer could make a suit like never before - whose design is not in the market place just for you. We've seen several cases of people approaching manufacturing institutions to specially make them a thing for distinction and then to meet their special need. It ranges from vehicles to materials that aids any who's medically challenged and then to household materials that may bear the logo or brand of such mighty men. Consider the president of the U.S. for instance. His office affords him the privilege of driving a customized vehicle called the beast. That vehicle amidst his motor pool was made to meet the need of a highly sought after leader who may be a target of assassins all over the place. It's a limousine with over 7 tons of armour. It can withstand high caliber gun fire or even an explosive device! That was made for an office and to stay him alive.

In today's reading, Jesus of course wrought his first miracle of turning water to wine. This act didn't happen just like that. A need warranted it. When we seek after a need being met and acquire a thing to dissolve same need, we're not doing such for pleasure. Pleasure is when you already have a need met and you're at satisfactory level but you just want to recline in abundance or delight your flesh. Jesus made a wine - like never before type when they wanted it. It was brewed specially for that wedding and to the estimation of those couples. If you don't know, people already began to wonder after the discretion of the groom to have kept such special wine till then though it was not his making. Because God takes thought for you too, that's how you'll look wise to people due to what He'll wrath in your life by his divine wisdom of keeping the best for the end. What is specially made isn't common and this all together places a premium on the groom and wife. There's nobody who leaves that wedding who won't talk of the special wine they took when it seems the event has winded down. Except that wine remains after the event, none will find it on sale. A thing brewed specially for you is rare and made just to attend to your own particular need. At times, you may not be able to duplicate it. Like this wine, it occurs once and for all and is gone.

When it is thought of the bridegroom that his event is coming to an end because he lacks what could make the event lively, a comeback was made and it was even a better and comely comeback. Wherever you're lacking and not meeting up, today, God almighty will cause a provision that will make you meet up. It won't only be a provision but a special one. People will see it and wonder at its specialness. They'll salute you for your wisdom and call you discrete for knowing how to wage the war of wisdom. Your best has not been seen at all. If the path of the righteous is said to be as the shining light, it stands to reason that the wine (glory, honour, blessing, wealth, fame) that would shock the world is coming later into your life. What you are at 25 is lesser than who you'll become at 35. It will be from glory to glory. If the wine they had afore tasted was lesser in quality than the one with which they closed the event with, it prompts me to say you'll exit this earth gloriously than you came or met it. Your best have not been served. We're keeping that as a last card to shock those who are seeking to compete or outcompete you. By the time we allow this miracle of the rarest wine, glory, wealth, promotion etc to be wrath, they'll testify like the ruler of the party did that, "you have kept the best for the end". Your end will therefore better and surpass your beginning.

FORM WITHOUT POWER; LEAVES WITHOUT FRUITS

Read Mark 11:12-14

II Timothy 3:5, KJV

"Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away".

Form without power! Take some time out to think what it means. Have you seen a very beautiful vehicle before until you discover it's under repair and has no engine? If you had tried starting it, it wouldn't have kicked or moved an inch.

"Form of godliness" is simply a deceptive appearance that any could carry. "Form of godliness" is not godliness itself. Form of godliness is what makes some appear as Christians afar off but upon closer scrutiny, they're revealed as no Christians because they don't live what they project out. He might have been Christianized while bearing John, Janet and professing same. He might put on the cross, tuck in or covers her head often only to discover that these forms that attracted you to him aren't leading to any life to substantiate the appearance you've seen. He may be the greatest liar, fornicator or adulterer of all seasons. In today's reading, Jesus journeys with the disciples and was attracted by a fig tree with plenty leaves from afar. When Jesus saw it, He humanly thought the tree would have fruits - figs. On that basis, he walked in hope of fetching fruits from this fig tree only to discover that this fig tree has been living a deceptive life and using same to command attention to itself. It poses as one with fruits yet without fruits. Its having much leaves and looking very much decorated from up down would convince anyone from afar to hope fetching a thing from it. However, only a form is what this fig tree shoots out. The main thing that it should have - for which Jesus (who was at that time hungry) and many others would have set out after was absent. Fruits were lacking. It therefore denies the power thereof because it has failed to meet expectation on what is really being sought. There be many Christians like that.

Check if you're not being described. Do you look like it somewhere but you're not it? You look like reality but you're pseudo. Brass also looks like gold you know but ain't gold! When that place says, "having the form of godliness but denying the power thereof", it was nailing having a form of godliness and intentionally crafting to put on the sheep skin when one is a wolf. In life, you must know what is substance or wheat being sought after different from the chaff being rejected or to be jettisoned. Many times in the Bible, vivid and lucid examples were given to draw lines of distinctions between the wheat and the chaff. The wheat is the real eatable substance that anyone retains from grains or cereals while the chaff is what we let go. The chaff is so empty and light that a little breeze of air would carry it off. That's why a place in Psalm 1 says these:

Psalms 1:4-5, KJV

"4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous".

Have you seen how incapable chaff are in resisting the wind even naturally? They can't but be driven away since they lack the substance that could make it difficult for the wind to drive them off as mere particles. As distinctive the distinction between wheat and chaff is, so is the distinction between "form of godliness" and "its power thereof". If you have a form of godliness, repent from using that to make people feel at home with you before being taken aback [though you might have used them or had your way with them before their discovery]. Thirst after its power thereof - which is a life of Christ. Let corresponding characters or fruits of the Spirit be proofs [Gal.5:22-23].

PRAYER: Lord, let me meet expectation and requirements. May I resemble You and not be a bastard professing to be Christ's. Does the foundation of the Lord not stand sure? The Lord knows His.

DISSUASION FROM CHOOSING THE RIGHT OR HARD COURSE

Acts 21:14, KJV

"And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done".

Once you're called, it means you have a calling, venture or a particular field that is appointed for you. You may show more interest for it than any other and it might become your lifelong venture. What I have seen on the road of the calling is meeting people who asks me or another how we're coping with what we have chosen to do or we've been doing. They'll say, "As for me, that's hard. I'll rather prefer this or that one". They're right. What you have chosen to do is hard to them and so it is vice versa. What they are doing will also be hard to you. Do you know why? It is what you're called for that you're equipped or anointed for. There's nothing anyone lacks preparation or ordaining for that he'll ever feel capable doing.

In the untitled series we've been following, we saw that Paul was dissuaded twice not to mount to Jerusalem because imprisonment awaits him there. Out of the mouth of two or three witnesses, we know every matter shall be established. They were telling Paul in essence, "Don't go that road. Don't take that course. It is littered with hardship and suffering". Paul laughed and questioned, "Hardship? I'm not only ready to be imprisoned but to die for Christ". Look at how he embraced the suffering they were trying to use to dissuade him (though true in reality). Do you know what? If you're called to follow a path in life, the suffering of that field or hardship of that profession is esteemed lightly by you though bogus to others outside same venture. With all sincerity, there's nothing in me that wants to become a martial artiste - a boxer, kick-boxer or wrestler like Samson e.t.c. though I love the force enough as to become a soldier but for God's permission not given. You know how hard becoming a martial artiste means. I can't endure their rigorous training but I can endure that of fasting for many days and staying indoor for months if that would be necessitated without much socialization with people.

The truth found out about calling is that people may not understand why you have chosen to follow that particular path. To them, it is difficult to rise, be a man of means while it's also fretted with so many social stigmas. So, they may be telling you, why not follow the easy or that other road which in their own consideration is just more advantageous? Paul said, "No". What we're made for is what we have ability to contain. If you go the easy road you were not made for, your foolishness of choice making would be shown the world because you'll lack equipping for it. Was it not prophesied from Jesus' mouth Himself that Paul would be shown a great deal of what he'll suffer for His name's sake? [Acts 9:16]. And indeed, he suffered many things but which he was never moved by [II Cor.11:23-28].

While Paul was in imprisonment, did the Lord not appear to him to encourage him? Doing what? Making his mountain strong and giving him an equipping that will make him tarry and fulfill his calling in his chosen path [Acts 23:11]. Get out of your path and there won't be any daily word spoken for your encouragement to continue until the day is dawn. This I therefore speak to all children of destiny; parents, siblings, society and even peers may not understand why you have chosen that path. They may paint to you why you shouldn't go that way but let that be the same reason why your mountain should be made strong to choose that course and as you go, you'll hear voices cheering you on for having chosen rightly and gone the right path - the road less travelled.

PRAYER: Father, may I travel the road less travelled even in the face of obvious discouragement. May I not exchange my calling for another else - for what is wheat to chaff?

THOSE WHO CAN'T BE BOUGHT FROM THEIR PATH

Read Acts 21:1-14

Acts 21:13-14, KJV

"13 Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus. 14 And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done."

Once you're cut for a vocation and you have discovered the peeping or revealing of that vocation to your soul, it becomes your path in life. If you have therefore found it as your obsession and path in life, it becomes difficult for any to persuade you out of it except you are not first persuaded of that vocation in your soul.

When Paul was apprehended by God on the way to Damascus, God set his assignment while clearing the doubt of Ananias concerning him. God had said he would be a chosen instrument who will carry His name before Gentiles, Kings and the children of Israel while He'll show him how much he must suffer for His own name's sake [Acts 9:15-16]. Mark the part that says, "to carry my name before Gentiles, kings and the children of Israel".

Paul began ministry and occasion must be fulfilled that he carry Christ's name before Gentiles, kings etc. On one of such occasion, by the Holy Spirit, he was told not to go to Jerusalem by the brethren. Later on, Agabus, a notable prophet prophesied same warning while hinting that bound awaits Paul in Jerusalem. These two prophecies were from God, not the devil. They were also truthful ones as we later saw that Paul was taken and bound. However, if they were heeded, they would have hindered Paul from appearing before somebody like Felix whom the Chief Captain transferred him to - thus fulfilling part of his calling and threading his predestined path [Acts 24:24-25].

His being jailed only served as an occasion to reaching many Gentiles, notables and children of Israel with the gospel. Christ's appearance to encourage him and tell him what his mission is - to carry his name and testimony before all even beyond Jerusalem [Acts 23:11] affirms his purpose again. So, Paul had chosen right and refused rightly. But, may I call your attention to how Paul refused to heed those two prophecies despite their genuineness. Paul said, "Why should you break my heart? I'm ready to not only be bound but die for Christ". Despite all to dissuade him from following the path earmarked for him to tread in the beginning of his calling, his heart was set. This is how the heart of all destiny children would be set on what they have discovered as assignment or events that God has said should be done by them.

First of all, you'll see all children of destiny having inclination towards a specific field. Persuade them not to go for that and you'll see them refuse often and often. Do you know why? The persuasion in their soul and identification of the path to follow is stronger than the external one. If the first prophecy and those who affirmed it couldn't change Paul's intention from going to Jerusalem, should the second notable one not get it done? Yet, Paul was even rebuking them stylishly for breaking his heart and dissuading him from the path he should take.

May your path be clear to you this way even if it's a hard path. May you embrace it and find it embrace you. Some would be found in Science and Technology, Art and Humanities, Accounting and Business Studies. Whatsoever your field may be in life, just like Paul's face was attuned to Jerusalem and Jerusalem only, may yours be attuned to same. May nothing be big enough to buy you from the way you should go. If you're to become a martial artiste, may you not become a sportsman - kicking the ball with your legs.

PRAYER: Lord, I refuse to be dissuaded from the road you've ordained for me and ordained me for. May I be unflinching until all men join me to say, "if it's the Lord's will".

DEBATING FAITH

Read Hebrews 11

Hebrews 11:2, KJV

"For by it the elders obtained a good report."

By what did the elders obtained a good report? We said, faith. Now, if you look at that place, you'll see that faith is a thing that works because it has been afore worked. We said it has been proven. The Bible says what?

Deuteronomy 19:15, KJV

"...at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established."

What makes faith appealing to us and a thing we want to work also is because it has been proven and we know that it can't fail if we rightly work it. Some people were testified to have obtained by faith. It means for faith to be proven, it not only took a person but myriads to purchase that good witness for faith. That's why I can't doubt the workability of faith. With the numerous people who worked faith under their own different circumstances in the Bible, I am sure that should convince anyone that faith has been thoroughly proven and concluded on to be trustworthy if worked.

We humans are skeptics and if you tell someone that a thing works, he'll like to collect from you proves and testimonies that it works. Many people are shying away from being the first user now. They need someone who has done the trial for them. Look, we are not left without a witness. We can without shame give an answer to such people's question. That place says, "for by it the ELDERS received a good report."

What did you see there? "Elder" or "Elders?" It says elders. Faith has been thoroughly proven. It was worked by A and it worked. B also worked it and it worked yet, it never stopped with them. Righteous Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Joseph etc all worked it and it proved for them. Even if we have reasons to doubt the workability of faith before, we have none again because it has been indeed tested to be a thing that holds fast.

Psalms 12:6, KJV

"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times."

That's what makes God's word infallible. It has been tried. It's trustworthiness is like a silver refined seven times. How will that silver look? New, pure, neat without any impurity. But did they just arrive at that height? No. A silver that's trusted is one that's not only tried once but indeed tried and tried until it can be ascertained that it is pure. Such long process of attainment of infallibility is what faith passes through before its commendation and recommendation to us.

No one can call us a cheat over that because all these people mentioned in Hebrews 11 that worked faith worked it at different times and on different circumstances yet faith still answered them.

God's Word is pure like silver tried or refined seven times. Faith is proven as well because it was worked by myriads of elders that obtained results. Through many, it was proved to be sure. Imagine if you're asking about the soundness of a product and you can meet ten people to testify about such product, will you not be convinced?

Today, I can say receiving by faith is not archaic though faith and its working passes from the hands of some elders to us. It answered them long time ago and it will answer us in our own time. People wrote their chronicles of faith. Men will rise to speak and write about ours. No one operates faith that doesn't become a hero. It is time for the world to tell your story of faith. It's time for you to deploy faith to do heroic deeds.

May you have an answer.

PRAYER: Father, let the pen of people write my story of accomplishment by faith on earth too. Let me surmount by faith and defeat by faith.

GUIDANCE TO DESTINATION

Read Matthew 2:1-10

Matthew 2:9, KJV

"9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was".

Brethren, if you're created for the hills, without pretending to be a hill man, it would show. I want all children of destiny to take cognizance of something. God alone calls to the hills. If you're having a sense of being known worldwide, it is not ordinary. God might have put it there. How does He get that done? There's a thing known as calling. It predates anybody's existence here on earth. Calling is like a programmed code left in each man's soul. This calling like a flash of lightning would appear or peep out often to reveal itself to the carrier to pursue. If it is identified or discovered and pursued, the carrier would become great in destiny because it is God that specifically called him into an area he should be which he has found out and has heeded despite the other roads that may be appealing to his soul.

Listen to me, if you're appointed to be a city on a hill - a star, a national or international phenomenon, you don't need someone to tell you except you haven't discovered it. If you have discovered calling and God is saying your calling still goes on to the top and is greater than the one you've discovered or you're living for, God Himself would create a pull in the very gulf of your soul and put a drawing, liking, obsession, passion etc there for you to chase or pursue after that high thing. If you're at the local level now and destiny wants you become a national hero, "come up hither" will be heard by you often on your inside. You won't just be satisfied with where you are. You'll desire the top not for selfish lust but because it is desiring you to come and is calling you to itself. Do you know there are people God has put travelling out of the country in their hearts since a kid? This is not to escape poverty because they might even be well to do. It might be a particular country. God does a thing like that because such fellow's manifestation may be amidst people of strange tongue and not his own. Desires are not ordinary. Check the significance of the desire you're having. Till date, I still have hot desire for the Arab world and all others like them. Just like I confided in someone, I said, "what's so special in my obsession for those with hijab?"

In today's reading, a star that appeared to the magi in the East didn't stop there. When they got to Jerusalem and still needed to trace further their destination for which they've heeded the call of setting out earlier, the star appeared to guide them. It was reported it didn't stop until it led them to their final destination where who they were looking for was. It never left them nor forsook them. Look at me, your calling will never leave you nor forsake you also. It will guide you if you've heeded it or you're in it until you get to the final stop. At every juncture you reach that it seems you're confused as a destiny child, your calling would soon reveal itself in you to lead you on. That's why children of destiny have a clear cut vision of where to go and what to do. Do you know why? Something inside - from what God ordained them to be even before being in their mother's womb is directing them.

Children of destiny, where are you? I can assure you by this word that you'll reach. The wise men reached. They began from the East, got to Jerusalem, then Bethlehem of Judea and then to the specific house Jesus was. They did 'cause the star kept telling them to follow him. You, observe the ray of light in your soul and you'll know that divinity is the one who had been putting what you have not acknowledged as leading in your soul. Heed it and become great to people suddenly.

PRAYER: Father, let this calling call me to my height. Keep revealing and flashing images of destiny into my soul.

WITH YOUR MIGHT

Ecclesiastes 9:10, KJV

"Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest".

"With all your might" is the phrase that should be unforgettable. It is your target and you have to make it count.

Sometimes ago, a fellow said he was in meditation and he remembered his undergraduate days. He said he didn't regret what he came out with but he would have regretted it if it wasn't his best he gave to finally get what he came out with. Should you find out you could have done better, would you be happy with yourself? Obviously no. Many times at the time of duty, we'll get tired and say, "That's how far I could go. Whatsoever would happen, let it". May you not mean those words. These words are words that make people settle down and become an average man. These words hinder them from doing what their hands have found to do with their might.

Do you know what it means to do "with all your might?. I'll give you an illustration. Imagine a fellow who a flood of water is to sweep away but has a tree by the bank to hold unto. How do you think he'll hold unto that tree as to be saved against this dangerous current? Do you think he'll have reserved energy somewhere that he won't use up once and for all to the saving of his life? That's what we're telling you to activate. Let the operations of your life be with all your might. At every time that a job, a task or duty would call, let it be your best shot you're giving to it and not chicken feed you're bringing to it.

Are you a student? Study in such a way that your conscience can't crucify you later. If something didn't add up, let it be known to your inner of inner that the faults were not yours. You went all the way to make it happen but something was not adding up and that ain't your cause. Do you know why you have to begin to apply this principle to your life? Reasons were already given in that same verse but I won't focus on those. It's because you'll come to maturity and better understanding in the future and you'll challenge, beat and question yourself as to why you couldn't have done better than what you now have at hand. This discovery may hit you when demand is being made for those who have done better. Such days do arise you know that'll bring you to the realization of the petty seeds you've sown which would cause you beat your chest and smite yourself. It may be if you had worked with all your might also, you could have set an example of excellence for your children and people around you to emulate but now you're being called to questioning and accountability. So that there won't be any reason for any regret, slam the pedal to the drum and go all out.

Jehu drew the bow with all his strength. When it hits, it pierced to the other side. But mind you, he drew with all his strength first of all.

II Kings 9:24, KJV

"And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot".

It is not all arrows that do pierce its victim inside out when shut especially if it is not drawn with full strength. However, Jehu intentionally drew this so that even if Jehoram escapes, the wound can't be nursed but rather eventually kill him. That's leaving a mark and he necessarily manufactured that shut to take him down.

This task, job of yours etc that you're doing from a partial heart can't groom you and process you for a future you don't yet see. There is more that meet the eyes than what we see. To this end, I challenge you to go disrobe laziness off you and put on the garment of "with all your might" and give all your energy, will power in its concentration to achieve. This is when you can be first amidst many.

PRAYER: May I make this resolution and not turn back. Grant me the will power.

ESCAPING THE SWORD - Eternal Chase Series 003

Read Matthew 2:1-16

Matthew 2:16, KJV

"Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men".

There are so many reasons for which man pursues after the life of another man. Human life should be sacred and none ought to seek it to shed but this truth is often defied on so many occasions.

On hearing of a King of the Jews who has been born, insecurity sets in and Herod became unnecessarily alerted. Under pretence, he told the magi to go locate Jesus so he might come and worship him too. He has a plan contrary to the one revealed to the magi. No one was suspicious of his moves but God warned the wise men not to go back to Herod. In this way, they departed to their own nation another way. So, he who was wise in his own conceit is made to see his own folly.

Also, the Lord came to Joseph, whispering to him to cart his family away to Egypt because the life of Jesus is being sought and would be sought after. After awhile that Herod had waited without seeing the wise men who had promised to return to feed him back, he knew he had been outsmarted not by the will of man but God's. Look at how furious he becomes. He flares up and wouldn't consent to being made a fool. Yet, he was willing to make the magi look like one. He didn't tell them his real intention was to kill Jesus but disguised his real act under the desire to come worship Jesus. Thank God that divinity came to the aid of the so called wise men. If not, Herod would have had the last laugh over them and wonder why they were called one. God is our wisdom and by Him, there won't be any foolishness in us. That's why by Him, we can run over a troop.

In this way, God frustrated the devices of Herod and Jesus escapes the sword. Having being mocked, he in anger sent scouts out to kill all babies of two years old and below according to his enquired time. However, Jesus was not part. The King of glory takes residence in Egypt that it might be fulfilled, "out of Egypt have I called my son".

Is any trying to play you through disguise? By God, you will overcome their intention. You may not know they are not for you, but God would give you upper hand over they and their plans. The sword won't meet you in your nest. Evil will always happen behind you. At your relocation and departure, that's when you'll be hearing the news of a thousand and ten thousands that have fallen.

PRAYER: Escape is mine wherever my life is under threat and contest. May all Herods' wisdom becomes folly.

THE GATHERING THAT'S IN VAIN - Eternal Chase Series 002

READ Acts 23:11-24

"And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul".

The gathering of a billion plotters shouldn't scare you since there's assurance that their gathering won't lead to implementation.

If there's one apostle whose life was terribly contested for in the Bible, it is Paul. They sought him to eliminate many times. This is one of such times. Some forty men gathered together and took a resolute decision of killing Paul. They were so much purposeful that they bound themselves with a curse that they wouldn't eat or drink until they've killed him. Brethren, if you get where Satan and men begin to pursue you this way, just know you have become a serious threat that must sure be taken out. Why should some people be so much concerned as to destroy another man's life? Why should they all leave their daily businesses and ventures to pick up a new cause? These are men who have something doing but who had to let go in order to finish off a fellow. There's no extent Satan can't go to bring a threat down. He'll sacrifice anything as well. For some men to have sacrificed the pleasure of eating and drinking until the mission is accomplished shows how focus and intense the matter was.

However, God who rules as the Governor amidst the nations won't allow. He has afore assured Paul of bearing witness for Him in Rome earlier. So, his life is anchored on continuity. To fulfill this, Paul's sister's son reported to Paul and the chief captain what the masses were cooking. This is how a transfer of Paul to Felix became inevitable. God is faithful. He'll always allow a loop hole or leak in what the enemy calls plan. That's what would become your own advantage. Paul's sister's son heard their plans which he reported. Nobody knew him to be in relation with Paul but that's how God exposes the devices of the crafty so that their hands can't achieve their craftiness. On this note, Paul's end was postponed. He escapes death once more. You'll always escape the hardest of plots too. Let it be stringently woven and crafted together, you'll survive assassins and assassination. A wisdom would put you ahead that they won't see coming. They'll seek you and not find you available for death to be killed. Escape is yours and salvation from Jehovah.

PRAYER: Thank You for your daily salvation to me. Give me salvation from my strongest enemy.

THOSE WHO WILL WAIT FOREVER - Eternal Chase Series 001

READ Acts 9:19-26

Acts 9:24-25, KJV

"24 But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him. 25 Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket."

Take some time to laugh brethren. Ensure you really laugh loudly because what you're laughing at is the folly of some men. Why should you laugh? There are those who will wait for eternity. They'll wait, wait and wait to discover their reason for waiting is at all not materializing but has escaped them. So, their waiting would then be termed, "vain waiting."

Paul in zeal and ignorance of what he thought was right persecuted those of the Way. It was to such wild city arrest he was going when Jesus handcuffed him one day. Having surrendered to Jesus' lordship, he began the preaching of this same Jesus immediately and argued with all intensity that He is indeed the Christ. To this end, all that sees him enquires if he was not the same notorious Saul dragging those of the Way to jail. They even wondered why he has suddenly stray from the purpose for which he had came to Damascus. They kept asking questions after questions. Having witnessed the testimony of Paul and foreseeing the havoc he might cause if he continues to preach of the Way he had once buffeted, they planned taking him out. I'll say that was a smart move by them. Do you know why? Testimony of a person like Paul would easily be believed by any outside the Way if they hear he once persecuted what he now stands for. They'll reason that he must have found out the genuine as to what cause to follow since he had previously tasted of the other faction also. To this end, Paul must be silenced before he spreads his belief of Jesus Christ and the Way to a larger extent - therefore popularizing those he was once all out to shut up.

However, the plan to kill Paul was known to him. He just discovered it some way not specified. While those ones were watching the gates day and night (since that's the only and proper entrance to the city) to kill him; Paul beats all these plotters when he was let down in a basket by the city wall. Don't say there's no way. Once you get to a cross road, improvisation would stir itself in your belly.

While those ones still had scouts whistling, sending signals, receiving calls on whether Paul has been perceived or not, Paul had left. He had left the vicinity. He was just far gone while they were still keeping vigil, giving all attention and denying themselves pleasure. All was in vain since the reality of Paul's presence in the city became illusion the moment he left. Brethren, this is how you'll always be ahead of what should take you out. Whenever they think they're in control, they'll suddenly discover you own the control. Plots will be futile over you. They may be made but they won't be executed because you'll be nowhere to be found for such to be experimented over you. In what way has your profession been endangering you? Are you a missionary, journalist or reporter, politician, writer, musician e.t.c. who's to be assassinated for having become a threat? Look, there booby plan shall be revealed and you shall outsmart them. Those waiting to bring you down shall therefore wait for ever until they tag you, "impossible, invincible, immortal" in Jesus name.

PRAYER: Put me steps ahead of my enemies. I have insights into what is a plot. I outsmart bands, troops and companies.

A MAN OF LIKE PASSION

James 5:17,KJV

"Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months."

Passion is what equalizes all of us. Elijah, the great man of God was just like any one of us. He has feelings, affection and a constitution like ours. Meanwhile, he was also able to live beyond being human because he was able to exercise the supernatural side. That was the part that makes him not look like men of like passion with the constitution of ours. Because of being a man of like passion, that could have restricted and hindered him from living the God-life. This part which is divine however that anointed men of God constantly exhibits is what has deceived many into sinning. They'll think "I'm not prone to falling again." Raising the dead is not a guarantee that you can't backslide. Aren't you still having human affections?

On another note, that Elijah wrought the supernatural is an assurance that while we're humans in this flesh and while we still exhibit our human nature yet we can live under the divine constitution. That Elijah was a man of like passion means he was consequently opened to all the challenges you're facing and complaining about now in the flesh. There were moments his own body moved too. He only had to subdue it. He felt hungry e.t.c also.

Even our men of God today and those we call daddy or mummy have parts of the opposite sex they like and are falling for. That makes them truly a man of like passion that is vulnerable to temptation, seduction and even backsliding just like anyone. Our frame is dust: still flesh and blood though we may be anointed or fire brand. So, beware and take caution around the opposite sex.

The disciples were men of like passion also. That's why they experienced weakness to pray somewhere.

Matthew 26:40, KJV

"And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto peter, what, could ye not watch with me one hour? 26:41 watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."

If you're too tired to pray (which is not an excuse for that exercise), it's because you're a man of like passion. Angels don't get tired. It is in the nature of man to be tired. Even Paul was a man of like passion. That's why Paul said " I put my body under." He knows being unguarded for a minute could wreck down all his years' labour in Christ. That's an exercise that everyman of like passion must do daily or else, you may not know when you'll stray in thoughts and begin to sleep with someone in your heart. Consequently, you can do it live. You'll feel sexually aroused as a correct man of like passion but you must keep your body under until you're married or until you have your partner ready (if married) to communicate ministration to you (I Corinthians 9:27).

Why did Paul keep his body under? He was a man of like passion with blood, cold blood running through his veins. Please, don't do counselling behind close doors or start prayer with the opposite sex and hold hands. Doing so is wanting to reap consequences. Can a man carry fire in his bosom and not be burnt. Let's ask "why did Paul counsel that every man should have his own spouse?" It is because he knows we're men of like passion. That's why he said "in order to avoid fornication." He knows only humans can commit fornication and not angels. Our own make up makes us men of like passion. Knowing that is the key for building defences (I Corinthians 7:2-3, KJV). These are just a run through of the fact that we are men of like passion who is susceptible to weakness, failure, fear, temptation, hunger, thirst, pressure e.t.c that a human being like us will be opened to. In the light of this, we will know how to behave and take preventive measures which will keep our body under subduing. As bitter as it is, no man could kill being a man of like passion because that's why he still feels hungry, thirsty or sleepy. We can only control and subdue the exhibition of the nature in man that can bring him into sin.

MY PERSONAL TESTIMONY OF REMEMBRANCE IN PRAYER

REMEMBRANCE IN PRAYER

One of the things I enjoy whenever I pray is remembrance. Apart from direction, I enjoy remembrance. This remembrance often times then do lead to direction to take afterwards.

Whenever I pray, things I had said I'll do, I should do or desire to do (but which I've not started doing but which I should do) would come to mind. They'll not only come to mind but come very persuasively. It will rise as a voice. A voice so speaking that you'll know a rising is happening inside you. A voice so serious like the voice of Abel calling from the ground. Therein, I know it's a person (the Holy Spirit) speaking inside me to me.

God in times past has sensitized me to great opportunities by telling me to check on the expert who has a say on it. That's even when I don't know announcement has been made concerning the availability of such opportunity. I have been reminded to call people in prayer many times. At times as I pray, solutions come freshly to a thing I've been contemplating on yet without necessarily seeking or praying for solution at that time. Suddenly, there just appears a path.

If you'll check, you'll also bear witness that when you pray, remembrance do come to you though you might have been neglecting yours. I believe that's the Holy Spirit at work who doesn't want us leave a stone unturned in our lives. He doesn't want any issue get swept under the carpet. The more you therefore relate with God, the more He'll be willing to tell you things to actively give attention to. He doesn't do it only at the times of prayer when our heart is only set on Him but even while we're busy with life. Doing it only at prayer time may be doom to us. Sensitization should be received everywhere and every time especially when God sees an emergency He wants you pay attention to. So, God makes remembrance occur and reoccur.

Don't forget, not that God has not been speaking and speaking repeatedly all this while. Even as we go about our daily businesses, He speaks but man is just too busy to give attention. Some haven't cultivated sensitivity enough to discern Him even in the midst of daily relations.

Job 33:14, KJV

"For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not".

What could be the cause of not perceiving despite repeated speech? Ask yourself. However, at the time separated for prayer, whenever we come to Him with a single heart, it gives the Holy Spirit ample opportunity to flood our heart with things we should take steps on which He has been bringing but hindered due to busyness with daily affairs which distracts us from such hearing.

Is there any there whose perception is dull? At the scent of water, it shall bud up again. The Lord would speak once but you'll perceive twice.

READ Ecclesiastes 4:8-12

Ecclesiastes 4:12, AMP

"12 And though a man might prevail against him who is alone, two will withstand him. A threefold cord is not quickly broken".

A thing that's quickly broken is a thing easily conquered. The right substituting word for "quickly" in that usage would therefore be "easily" for it means "very soon". If a thing proves difficult, it can't easily succumb to your devices of mastering it. So, such (even if it would be defeated) can prolong the time of its defeat or accessibility. A singular chord folded into three layers obviously becomes stronger compared to leaving it as a layer. Isn't that the reason why a secured building has many layers of doors. It is to make penetration difficult while delaying intruders' accessibility. Buildings housing treasures in ancient or even our times are of more than threefold layers. No strong room is of a layer or fold. The more the doors, the secured it is. The intention is to barricade immediate entrance even if there would be any at all.

A strand of broom has been broken many times by you. You did that effortlessly. What you haven't tried breaking is a bunch of broom itself. Even if you've tried breaking it, the witness you'll give is "it is not easily broken" and indeed, it won't break. It won't just yield. You may try but you'll come to the realization that there's a great insulation against that bunch of broom being broken. Force has been pulled together against you. Though effort is being applied and increased but it seems the resiliency of the broom proves you inaccessible. A strand is a weakling. A bunch is strength.

When you're alone without a second, there's a level of resiliency you can weave. You can prove stubborn just for awhile, refusing to be conquered. However, your resiliency and refusal is just at a level that we can't call trustworthy. We can ascertain or predict when you'll break. It can't be very lengthy. It is one that could easily cave in. Meanwhile, there is the effort of a second in any man's life. When a second man's effort is added to what you're doing, you're not easily broken. What could have easily defeated your partner or you finds it difficult overcoming two of you who are now a force. The thing will assault you but the ability to withstand, resist and persist will be doubled and much more persisting. You can become a troop against anything in life. We all know that a troop is not easily defeated. When you're more than one, you double not only energy but outcomes. Two always have a better reward. The Bible didn't say two can't still be defeated but it is not easily defeated unlike one that caves in very soon. That tells you, you will need to elongate yourself in battle and daily life affairs by the number of two. You simply need to buy time. Where a person is quickly beaten by his opponent because he is one within five minutes; if they become two against same opponent, even if he'll beat them, they can prolong and draw the battle for minutes more than five. This is the secret of lasting longer and staying there continually. Do you know how many people that would have been quenched if not for the contribution of the second. They would have been broken down long time ago except for a timely intervention of another that eradicates their being put to shame, entering into debt or even dying etc until a later time that even didn't come. When these acts of giving in is therefore postponed, they become strong and ready for new fights in the process of time. You must know that the devil, your major opponent capitalizes on situation and seasons of life to securing winnings against you. If at a dry season, you're easily defeated but for a timely intervention of a second, the chances of your being defeated then is postponed. If it is thus postponed, it means it may not even happen again. How did I know?

Revelation 12:15-16, KJV

"15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. 16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth".

The earth came to the help of this woman. When that happens, there is a deferment of what should have happened to her there and then into the future. Consequently, it becomes "it may still happen or may not happen again". You just need help to get out of the danger zone. Once you do, you may actually survive it forever. One is easily broken but not two. Engage the power of two and show to Satan, life and any hard task that though humans are conquerable yet two can elongate their defeat into evasion. So, persist and insist in the power of two.

PRAYER: Lord, if my fall is scheduled for today, may it be deferred by the help you'll bring into my life. Let it always be postponed until the fall is no longer sure. I enter into strategic partnering.
